Light, bright restaurant for modern Peruvian fare, plus a basement for tapas and a cocktail bar.
Comida Peruana creativa. The food and dishes are of Peru, but with a twist we havent found elsewhere and it is definitely a must. Thanks to all the servers and staff for a wonderful meal.
Super friendly staff, best ceviche and pisco sour Ive had for a long time, plus the chefs are Peruvians! A very big plus for me as a Peruvian. Gracias compatriotas! Hasta la proxima 👍🏼
Everything we had was good. But overall nothing was special enough for us to return or recommend. Unless someone said can you recommend us a ceviche place, because the ceviche was really good. Super acidic and bright. The ceviche was amazing, the portion was far too small. If it was a proper sized ceviche then this would be the place to go for it. Salmon was bland, and a bit over cooked. And the Pina Colada dessert, Was good, just ok. Lacked texture and complexity. I’m confused why a restaurant would open just to put out average food. There is no way that’s the chefs best and Most creative dessert. The menu was pretty healthy and for a light meal or just a local bite it’s a great restaurant. But if you are looking for a date night or a fun dinner you may be a bit disappointed.A note to management, When your restaurant is literally over half empty at peak time, maybe don’t force a credit card policy for reservations.
Delicious food, however their only vegan options are sides. It’s 2022, and with so many great vegan restaurants popping up - I’d avoid this place if you’re a vegan or vegetarian.
Lovely service. The live music was very enjoyable but perhaps a bit too loud for anyone sitting right next to the band, as we were.
I usually go to the Lost Alpaca (the underground bar). Theyve got really good cocktails, the atmosphere is spot on, it isnt too loud and its good price. Great for dates IMO
Passed by looking for some nice food, and were lucky to find this hidden treasure. Interesting menu with a lot of tasteful choices. We had a bunch of "tapas" to share and all of the dishes were beautifully presented, very tasty and well balanced. And not to forget, one of the most serviceminded staf we have encounted through out the whole of London. If the opportuny returnes we will definitely come back.
Loved this restaurant! They seated us in the evening and the host was the sweetest the entire night (I believe his name was Rey). Food was great! We ordered the salad and plantain as appetizers and then split the chicken meal. Great cocktails - the floral kamikaze was fun.
Overall. Not bad at all , interesting flavour. South America sweet and sour , we did special request belly pork to cook softer and it taste lovely like the , pineapple desert , touch strong on salt may be I am Asians taste butt , but everything is nicely cool
Nice food. Had the ceviches, cassava chips and the salmon. Enjoyable dining experience
We loved the food, prepared in traditional way but with flair. There was a small hiccup in on of our choices (we barely mentionedand it was met promptly with a complementary medley of desert. Much appreciated. Oh, the pisco sour was spot on (and maybe a bit to much for a lunch 😄If only London were a bit closer to home...
Very nice food, varied range of dishes to choose from, and friendly service. Recommended.
Delicious Peruvian food served passionately, great atmosphere and superb attention from staff. Chef Marco Padilla and his world class team have really outdone themselves
I love their mocktails, fresh ingredients and presentable. The price is reasonable. The staff are friendly and accommodating, 5 stars isn’t enough for how great this great this place is. Im surely going to try their food on my next visit.
Perfect place to enjoy delicious peruvian food, great service, nice atmosphere with live music. Definitely I will come back.
Amazing ceviches! Tried the scallop and white fish ones and they were delicious soo delicious, we ordered the white fish twice! Scallops could have had a bit more punch. The service was very attentive and it was a nice touch when they gave my husband a small surprise dessert for his birthday celebration. Would definitely visit again!
I had 2 starters which were delicious and Peruvian Sauvignon Blanc wine was soft and fruity. The restaurant was clean and staff were attentive and polite. If I fault something is big price for small portions. But I didn’t have main course so I don’t know about the portion size.
A lovely place with amazing food! We visited on a Sunday and enjoyed gorgeous (strong!!cocktails, Empañadas and duck leg. It was all so well made and well presented….just brill! The staff were attentive and polite too. Music on Sunday (‘Lima live’is a winner and worth a visit. We asked for a Pisco Margarita on the rocks and it came in a Coupe glass which is a little bit of a fail. Other than that, splendid. ¡Que bien!
My friend Silvana booked a table on Friday 10th JuneThe service was not good. The waiter kept coming to the table to serve us water which we found a bit annoying. Also he seemed annoyed at the questions we are asking about the menu. They were clearing the table as soon as we finished the food. Food was not that great to be honest, we have eaten much better Peruvian food and portions are super small. The surprise was when 2hours later they asked us to leave as there were other bookings, but at no point we were informed we only had a table for two hours (not it was specified on the booking). We left baffled and no one said bye when we left.Definitely won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend.
After working at Floral, they cancelled my shift they even tried to stiff me on the cancellation fee for cancelling my shift and not telling me to not show up to the restaurant next day.Watch out for this restaurant they make purposefully stiff their employees on their pay. They also don’t give the service charge to their employees. Employees are paid a salary of 11£ per hour and don’t receive the 12.5% service charge that you leave on your card. This restaurant owes me 38,50£.I will not take this review off the internet until they pay my wages. Thanks, be aware of this place.
I regret to leave a low rating review but I am being honest based on my experience and palate. Service was satisfactory (2 out of 5however unfortunately the food is a real let down (1 out of 5). You can already picture the food based on the menu so please check out the menu before you go to see if there is something you would actually like to eat. The highlight was the bread with a dip for a starter and it went all downhill after that. If you are looking for Peruvian food, I’d recommend Pachamama or Chotto Matte (which is Japanese x Peruvian).
Spontaneous dinner here after a Zumba class in Covent Garden. Peruvian/ Latin American food, good for a date or dinner with friends on a weekday. The portions for starters were personally way too small, particularly for the price and a sharing plates concept as they had to be divided amongst us. The raw fish was average however the empanadas and main course were great.- Scallops ceviche- Cured salmon tiradito- Tuna tartare- Beef empanadas **- Plantain and guac (way too salty)- Roasted corn **- Miso salmon- Grilled king prawn🤵🏻Service: 5/10🍽Food: 4/10🎶Ambience: 6/10🌟Overall rating: 5/10
The food here is not the traditional Peruvian style but it still has the essence and its excellent. Probably the best restaurant I’ve been in London. Its great to order a few things to share. Also, its not on the menu, but I suggest you ask for a Maracuya (or PassionfruitSour (another, sweeter, version of Pisco Sour), its the best.
Went in during lunch for the set menu (2 courses for £19and the food was really goodOrdered the sea bream Ceviche to start with and the confit duck leg for mainsThe starter was pretty good and I actually never tried it before. The duck, on the other hand, was INCREDIBLE! I’m personally not the biggest fan of sweet potato purée, but the duck was so delicious that I gobbled it without the purée.Quality service and not too loud music - good ambience overall. Would definitely dine in again.
We visited this Peruvian restaurant for my birthday dinner and found it to be a very present place for a tasty meal. They offer several flavors of pisco sour, we had the guava and strawberry, both of which was really nice indeed. The seam bream ceviche, slow cooked beef, confit duck and Chaufa rice was just amazing, the highlight of the meal. I was a bit disappointed with the piura chocolate mousse, I did not or could not spot or taste the lucuma in it, but as a chocolate mousse, it was really good and rich. Would go again.
Poor Service - clearly understaffed front of house which meant poor service for diners. Couple that with hints of arrogance from the male & female senior staff member on the 5th of April 2022 evening made it a poor experience for our group. The only person trying his hardest to cope with a smile & positive servitude was a junior Peruvian staff named Mauricio. He was observant, attentive & helpful despite the front of house chaos.Food & drinks - good quality all round albeit small portions for the price point even by Central London standards in top restaurants. But no fault from the kitchen - good cooking!Ambience - lovely Andean music sounds from a two man live band which serenaded diners & created a buzzy atmosphere inside.Summary - a highly anticipated lovely evening with friends marred by poor service - unfortunate for us, but hopefully better luck for other diners.
We had a drink at the bar downstairs which was very cool. Cocktails are a must and if you like Latin music, you should defo check out the bar! The restaurant has a casual and easy going atmosphere. And the food was good overall. The sea bass ceviche was one of the bests I’ve ever had. Really fresh. The empanadas were also very very good. I thought the quinoa salad was a bit bland. And the croquettes were tasty. I think it’s a nice place for a tapas kinda dinner with friends.
Had high hopes for this restaurant but the overall experience didn’t meet our expectations!Firstly, the price they charge is way above the standards for the food provided.Everything in the kitchen is a bit off, in terms of flavours and cooking. The king prawns dish was the most disappointing. Never had such badly cooked prawns in my life! The slow cooked beef was the best out of all but lacked in taste. The croquettes were very bland! The duck starter was also very bad and tasted off. Like they had kept it on the fridge and served to us.On the good side, staff were friendly and the drinks were good.Would not recommend to a friend for food though. They need to change their kitchen I believe and bring their prices slightly down if thats the flavours they serve!
Delicious food! We had a great evening with friends. Very fresh ingredients and super friendly staff. The menu is short and it may happen that certain dishes are sold out, but for me it’s just a sign that food is more than fresh. Cocktails are great as well. The interior is stylish. It’s a bit of a noisy place but I think typical London style. I will be back, the food was a real pleasure!
Lovely little place I chanced upon after popping to the gym early in the week, so maybe why it’s not empty. Hoping they have more staff when it’s busy, but potentially the waitress was either distracted or didn’t realise I asked for the bill 🤷🏻♀️ Wasn’t in a rush but was exhausted after long day, waited for a long while whilst 3 members of staff including the waitress was assisting another table for what seemed like a glass of warm water while I continued to wait on the bill, until I put my coat on…Anyway, the food I ordered was still delicious and somewhat different. I enjoyed starter, nibble and dessert, along with a cocktail. I had tuna tartare, beef empanada and matcha mousse. I really enjoyed the tuna tartare, though price is high for the amount on the plate (area pricing and effort with ‘gourmet’ I suppose. Beef in the empanada was still a little juicy, the sauce it was with was tasty and complemented well. Santa Teresa Old Fashioned was very well mixed and I loved the cherry which sweetened the deal.I’d say it’s a Peruvian restaurant with an experimental twist.
I was super exciting to eat in a Peruvian place, but the food is not Peruvian (sorry guys). We try 2 different ceviches and the fish does not taste at all.( It is uncooked fish, it should be in contact with the leche de tigre and taste like leche de tigre)The pisco sour cost £11 and I still wondering where was the pisco...Quite disappointed. The people in the kitchen are Spanish, perhaps counting on native Peruvians, the food can be called Peruvian
Fantastic pisco sours, good food and fun staff. Food menu is rather short, much shorter than original Lima
Service was fast, staff friendly and helpful. Laura (the hostwas superb! She made our evening super special. Food was good; the highlight has to be the sea bass ceviche and the beef. Cocktails of pisco sour kept coming and we enjoyed the whole experience. A bit too pricey but that’s the west end for you…
While incredibly well located and offering a relaxed restaurant and cocktail bar environment, Floral does not live up to the standard set by its sister restaurant Lima. For starters it is overpriced for what is on offer - £4.00 for a bottle of sparkling water, £24 for a duck leg, £7.00 Chinese cauliflower. Secondly the food was a disappointment for the exception of the slow cooked beef which was juicy and cooked to perfection. The confit duck leg was dry while the chaufa rice was overcooked. The highlight of my visit was the music and the staff - friendly, efficient and cheerful. If you are after good Peruvian food that delivers on the premium price give Lima Floral a pass and head over to Lima or Andina instead. If you are after a relaxed unpretentious spot for cocktails then Lima Floral is your spot.
A really lovely ambience, buzzing and busy, but not too loud. The staff were brilliant, very attentive and charming. The food was incredible. All well balanced flavours and textures. Fresh and delicious. Also the portions were great for the price. The tomato ceviche was fantastic, as were the aji panko mushrooms. Definitely recommend the milk brioche for dessert, sweet and buttery with a great chocolate mousse accompaniment.
Its a nice place to eat something different. The food is tasty and the location is ideal for a shopping afternoon. The Ceviche was very nice although we order more stuff and we didnt like the salsas from the dishes ( not included on the menu. You need to scan the menu at the entrance but there are no pictures on it. 😥
Really nice atmosphere. Loved the Peruvian bread and the empanadas, they were the highlight of the meal! Mains were not as great. Really great service, we loved the performers that sang during our dinner. Something different!
Fantastic place with great service (a luxury these daysand amazing food! Ive never been to Peru but was excited to try new flavours and not disappointed.Nice atmosphere with live (softmusic. Strongly recommend, although keep in mind its not the cheapest.Ill be back!!
Colourful food with simple yet refined flavours. Fresh ceviche with exotics and authentic Peruvian ingredients.
Amazing place for lunch, dinner, drinks….everything!Great staff will provide you excellent service that you would expect exactly in Covent Garden.Great quality and taste, highly recommended.
Well, Im not entirely sure what to say, its not what I expected. My friend and I looked online and came across a funky place called The Lost Alpaca. After some research we discovered it to be Lima Floral. We were expecting a cocktail bar so Im still REALLY confused what the hell The Lost Alpaca is or how to get there which is why Ive only rated a 4. We only wanted one drink anyway as we were waiting on a reservation at a place nearby. The staff were very friendly and the drink was lovely.
I actually really enjoy the experience at Lima Floral. We got the table outside (after lockdownwhich was nice and beautiful. The place was lovely, staffs were nice, and food presentation was all great. The only complain I might have is that each plate came in small portion, so I didnt feel we had proper main dishes. So, we kept ordering foods over to fill us. And we went for one of our friends s birthdat occasion, we got the complimentary dessert, impressed :)
One of my favourite restaurants in London, period. Must recommend the tasting menus, giving you a well rounded try at both their staple and innovative dishes. Top notch cuisine with perfect execution, an attentive and efficient staff that know what they are serving, also in a perfectly placed location and beautifully decorated. The only thing I havent tried its their wines
The place has a good ambience and the food is really nice. The only complain is about the amount of food on the main dishes. They are not cheap and the portion are small, at least the one I posted on my review.
Outstanding food, great value for money if you go with a set menu. The staff was very kind and professional. I booked with bookatable and wrote that the lunch will be special as it is my birthday. However, the restaurant forgot about it, so initially no candle received. Only when I took of the service charge and complained, I have been given a candle.Just a shout out to the management to make sure that the waitresses are informed if the booking is special, such as birthday celebration, as my waitress did not know. Its not their job to find out but the one who runs the floor, so big minus here. The waitress was outstanding and upon complaint felt very bad for the mistake done by the management and brought me a candle, so big thank you here. The dishes on the pictures are: ceviche, beef and panna cotta.
Walked in with an expectation as this is part of Lima. I am writing this review with a heavy heart as I hate giving bad reviews. Went with my friend for lunch well it was a late lunch. There was just couple of tables when we went in. Chose Arepas, Rainbow Quinoa salad, Fried sweet potato cakes, Tuna ceviche, Beef Tartare causa, Peruvian bread, Yuca fries* Peruvian bread was stale and dry. I understand when a restaurant is busy you can cut the bread a bit in advance but the restaurant had hardly 5 guests and we were served really dry bread.* The ramekin with Maca dip was chipped.* Quinoa Salad was another disappointment as the quinoa was not cooked properly, plus no seasoning as well. Was lacking the citrus dressing as well.* Sweet potato cakes were just mashed potatoes with a bit of kick deep fried* Beef tartare lacked Peruvian flavours, as the sauce underneath avocado was Feta with Mascarpone (Greek & Italianthe flavour was strong.* Yuca fries lacked seasoning* Tuna Ceviche as well didnt play the part, as you could taste the fish was cut and kept for s longer period.Overall its was not value for money as the service as well was below average. Staff had zero knowledge about the product.
Really lovely restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden. Great for group gatherings as the atmosphere is fabulous. We went for the tasting set menu and the price was pretty reasonable for the amount of food (i was stuffed!). And everything was delicious, had great flavours and very nicely presented🥘🍛. Great service and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommended. Also the bar downstairs has wonderful cocktails 🍸🍹
Very nice food overall! There aren’t a lot of upscale peruvian restaurant and Lima is certainly one of them. Portions are small so we ended up ordering 2 to 3 courses per person. Love the way they cured the fishes, one thing to complain would be that the cured fish we had was slightly too sour (too much lemon juice). Mains were lovely! The lamb I had was cooked perfectly. Desserts were OK, a bit too simply and lack of creativity.
An interesting twist on Peruvian cuisine, the service was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was mostly good but definitely overpriced, you really pay for the expirience, less so for the taste. The only main glitch was a completely burned side dish which we had to send back. We were puzzled as to how it left the kitchen in the first place and made it to the table. Overall a very pleasant evening and I would recommend it as an expirience, however there are better places in London to try authentic Latin cuisine.
Delicious food in a high quality and unique Peruvian style. Excellent and attentive service - be sure to let them know of any allergies.Expect food to come to around £30 per person; drinks extra. Theres a free cloak room for your coats and bagsA very good location for a romantic dinner. Recommended.
