4500 Daraga - Legazpi City - Tiwi Rd, Legazpi City, 4500 Albay, Philippines, Libon
Elevated lookout & recreational park featuring a zip-line & views of the Mayon Volcano.
Lots of beautiful sceneries if you are on top of the hill
Under renovation but you can enter, very steep climb be careful
It was renovating when we got there. But the people around the Ligñon Hills especially the residents down the Hill told us that we are allowed to enter the Hill even though it is renovating.Super refreshing and Relaxing view of Legazpi City and also the Mayon Volcano 😶🌫️❤️😍
There was a barrier across the road stating the place was closed but it is in fact open to visitors on foot. We arrived from Legazpi and paid the tricycle P70 but returned by Jeepney for much less, from the main road right outside the grounds. The walk is peaceful but steep and the views are fantastic - both the city and the Mayon volcano. The visitors centre was under refurbishment but it is still worth a visit to enjoy the peace and quiet with great views.
Great volcano view from Legazpi city. Because the weather there are not really clear after 7a.m sometimes(too much cloud). And vehicle has be banned without bicycle, people can walk to the top within 30 minute and meet lots of local people exercise at morning.(Photo: April,15,2022, 6 a.m)
This nature park is undeniably nice. The thing is they did not update online about closing the park. It is currently under renovation. We walked all the way up cause we wanted to know how it looked like since we were just visiting legazpi. People are allowed to walk/jog/run around though.Very nice view from above both city lights and the mayon volcano.
We went here Feb 26, 2022. take your risk to do this trail, for 1hr. walk, bring water too. the place up above is very quiet, inactive. you will meet 1 or 2 local, mostly teenage kids who lived nearby. Up the Hill, you will see the majestic place of Legazpi city and Mt. Mayon.you will also see the sleeping woman mountain, like the one from Moana.
Back then, this place is really good, there are mini stores that you can buy from, there is also the Zipline, and other fun activities that you might want to try. but the last time Ive been there, which is January 3 or 4 this year 2022, there is no entrance fee than the very last time we went there. There are no mini store as of now, but the place is very pretty, and I love it, and the best time we got there is 5 pm and the view of sunset is very very very beautiful believe it or not, the sunset is genuinely beautiful in personal
Elevated geological formation within the Legazpi City area. Adjacent to the citys airport. Ligñon Hill was used as a defensible site by the Imperial Japanese forces during World War II. Existing tunnels are still found at the hill. Offers recreational activities such as hiking, biking and zip lines.
Good view of the Mt. Mayon. 😊Just sad that establishments within the park are all closed. Nothing much to do except to stroll/jog and take pictures.
To the nature lover this place is the best for you. Fresh air and More relaxing view when you reach the location. Advisable for the bikers and joggers. Wide car parking.
Nice place for walking and jogging. Fresh air and greenery scenes are what you can experience here.
Good virw of the Mayon. Also, it looks likr a park with many restaurant. But since it is pandemic, restaurants are currently closed
If you want to view the entire city plus great Instagramable shots, this is a great spot to go. With elevated view of the perfect coned volcano plus the green scenery, all picture will be worth to post.
One of the attractions to visit in Legaspi City is Lignon Hills. It’s a 156 meters hill with an overlooking view of the entire Legazpi City and the iconic wonder, Mayon Volcano. And is the perfect place to watch the sunset and sunrise. DON’t visit the place on rainy days you could hardly see Mayon.
Nice place. You can see the whole City of Legazpi on the top of the hill. Also the perfect cone of the Mayon volcano.
Sign says the best view of the Mayon volcano. A bit cloudy when we were there but still spectacular.A must when visiting Legaspi.
Good for a quick stop. If youre lucky, youll be able to see Mayons full beauty from here. Unfortunately for us, we werent able to see Mayon because it was cloudy that time.
1st travel of 2020 bicol. Nice clean place, u can see clearly the volcano👍
If you want to see Legaspi City go to Lignon Hills and feel the nature. You can go walking up hill for your cardio vascular workout. Feel the sweat nice feeling. Go go nature..
Good view over the city an to the Mountain MayonEntrance fee PHP 25 for locals / PHP50 for all others
Place Best to visit if you want to see both overlooking Legazpi City and Mayon
Great view of Mayon Volcano and Legazpi City. Entrance fee is cheap (P10.00 for Albay residents and 25.00 for guests). Also called fitness hill because you could work up a sweat going up.
One of the tourist attractions in Legazpi.Ligñon Hill is a prominent hill in the city of Legazpi, some 3 kilometers west of its downtown port area in Albay, Philippines. The summit rises to about 512 feet (156 meters), overlooking the Mayon Volcano to the northwest and the entire city and Albay Gulf to the east. The whole site is managed by the city and provincial government, and has been designated as a Nature Park.Ligñon Hill is a prehistoric cinder cone near the foot of Mayon, some 12 kilometers south-southeast of the volcanos summit. It is mainly composed of dolerite and basaltic volcanic rocks. Except for Mayon Volcano, it is the highest point in the city situated next to the Legazpi in barangay 41 (Bogtongnear the citys border with the municipality of Daraga. It hosts the Mayon Volcano Observatory, the central monitoring station of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology built in 1989.
Lignon hill is an awesome place. I recommend the place for people who likes to walk(if you dont have your own car). The air is fresh, the area is instagrammble for its design, for the view of mount Mayon and city view.
Ideal place if you want to stay away from the pollution of the city. We got there early in the morning so theres no entrance fee. Ag the top, youll see the majestic Mayon Volcano and the view of whole Albay.
We walked from entrance to the peak, twas a good exercise but not a good idea if you have senior citizens with you. Let them saty in the car until the observatory. Good Mayon view. Creepy Japanese tunnel. No more hanging bridge
If youre coming here, make sure that it has to be sometime between 4-5pm because before that, its hot af! Also bring some Cameras because the view is gorgeous, even at night! A nice place to hang out and admire the beauty of Legazpi and Mt. Mayon.
Climbed the hill for sunset and it was worth it :it was a clear day (14/05/19and Mayon volcano was clearly visible from the top. Entrance fee for the park is 25 pesos each. Walk to the top is steep and there are some activities to do according to the map however we didnt do any.
We visited the park after the rain, late in the afternoon, so it was a bit cool at the top. There were a few good spots for picture-taking. There were also some souvenir shops that were open at the time. Unfortunately, activities like the zipline was not available during our visit so I was a bit disappointed that I didnt get to ride it.
Ligñon Hill nature Park is a nice place to have a good view point at the same time on Legazpi City as much as on the Mayon volcano. Quite easy to access with jeepney (loop 1or by tricicle but youll have to walk a little (10 minutes hiking up), its also possible to go by car or motorbike to the top (parking available). Theres also a Zipline and some shops to drink something or buy some souvenirs.
It is so fun to walk from the foot of the hill to the top, especially when youre with your friends and loved ones. The view from the top is so good. There are a lot of souvenirs and food items. The place is so accessible. Loop 1 and 2 jeepneys are available at the foot. The place is so nice. The view of Mt. Mayon and Albay Gulf is so good. You can also watch airplane landing and take-off because the airport is also visible from the top.
Nice view of the Mayon Volcano and the airport. You can watch planes take off here.
From Legazpi sentro. Ride a Jeep - Loop 1. Tell the driver to drop you off to Lignon Hill
The Hill is nice and the walk to the top takes about 15 minutes and costs 25 Pesos (as of February 2019). The view at the Hill is great, just like the view at the Volcano, but if you would like to get the sunset and the Volcano into one picture you should better bring a wide-angle lens.
Must visit if youre into overlooking views.. A very steep hike to the top which took us around 30 minutes (great exercise. Nothing much to do once youre there..only ziplining was available at the time of our visit but the attendant was asleep (maybe he got too bored also)
The view is spectacular! But I went at a bad time. Mayon was covered in clouds. The zipline was not working. If you want a good hike and awesome view of the city you should visit during sunrise or sunset.
A place where you can see the city 360°.There is a souvenir shop, and other activities such as Zipline. We ate sili ice cream but I dont really like the taste.🍦😂
I was about to give the place 5 stars but I have a not so like-able experience here. I couldnt say anything bad about the place. Well maintained, clean and you will get a very beautiful view of Mt. Mayon. This was our first stop and so we went to one of the shops there and asked how much was the ref magnet made from I think volcanic sand. The woman said its 35, but the young lady said its 85. When we got the chance to visit other sites and asked for the same item. Its really just 35 pesos. I was not please of that experience. I know that they want to earn more but I hope they dont take advantage from the tourists. I am really not pleased with those kind of people, i feel like they dont have integrity.
A steep ascent. A good place to view mayon volcano, the other side will have a view of the airport.
This is a cheap local sight seeing place! The Mayon is so close and they have ziplines and other activities the family can enjoy! There are also food and souvenirs !!
Nor so thrilling. Good for some exercise though. I think it would be nicer if the place will be developed and the activities (ziplines, hanging bridge, etc.will be restored/improved. But certainly has a nice view of the city and Mayon.
It is a nice place to do your morning exercise and walk. It has a very nice view of the Mayon Volcano and the Legazpi airport on the other side. There are a lot of other joggers and visitors as early as 5AM and there are also other things you can do there as a tourist like walk in the hanging bridge, go biking in the sky or just relax with your friends and family and enjoy the fresh air.
Perfect view of the Mayon Volcano. The hike there was tiring but you can also bring your car if you don’t want to climb up on foot.
Nice view of the mayon.. Great view of Legazpi... The place offers views, zipline, atv and other activities... Just ask the reception area if its available and for its price... There are also very few souvenir shops...
The view from Ligñon Hill is Fantastic! Great place if you want to capture the volcano. They offer ziplines, trekking, ATV and etc. You can also see the airport from here.
Ligñon Hill is an old vulcanic cone in Legazpi city. You have a lot of tourisitc activities there like ATV tours, Paintball, Zip lines and so on. The entrance fee is 25PHP per person. The entrance fee is worth it. From the entrance gate it is a 20 minute hike to the peak where a souvenir shop is located. The ATV tours are quite expensive compared to others. You can grab similar ATV torus for half of the price in Cagsawan. Even there compare the prices everywhere here and be aware of hookers who whant to pin you to their high prices. You have an astonishin view of the Mayon vulcano. Bad for us we have been there today within the tropical storm Urduja. But most of the time the vulcano was covered in clouds. On the other side of the hill you have a wide view over legazpi city and the bay.CONS: The toilets in the peak building are dirty and look like 100years old.
Ligñon Hill has a height of 156m. It is located in Daraga, Legazpi. It has a 360 view of the city. Entrance fee is 25 peso per pax and extra fees for ATV ride and other activities. We werent that lucky to see the beauty of the volcano as it is raining and typhoon landed at eastern visayas. The place is worth a visit though. Weve watched the plane took off from the airport. Toilet wasnt really clean. No water and it is stinky. I hope they can at least do something about that.
Awesome!if you have a partner! Sure you will have a great day!To be frank really it’s awesome a Great over view of Legazpi City! You can see a great view of mayon if there is no More clouds!haha!Good Shops to eat or buy somethings!Fit for Sit and Relax!Even you have zip line to enjoy 😉
We walked up there over noon. It was hot and exhausting. But the view was worth the climb. Unfortunately the attractions on the way up (hanging bridge, japanese cage...were closed but the woman at the entrance didnt say so, they just wanted the money. The view was amazing! There are also some food and souvenir stores, no ak in the house. Zipline available, not included in entrance fee.
