Liège Youth Hostel - in Liege, Belgium
The HI Liège is awesome! Great modern hostel in a building with historic origins that can still be seen throughout the place, like the columns and arches in the lobby, or the beams on the top floor. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful, whether at the front desk, the bar or the kitchen. The lobby is a social hub, with great Belgian beers for sale, and they even have a guest kitchen if you just want to make your own supper instead of going out for dinner. The rooms have lots of power points for recharging and big lockers for your things. We had a great time there!
This hostel was a nice surprise. Clean modern room, friendly staff and a nice yard where you could hang out in the evening. Part of the hostel seemed to be an old monastery. The breakfast was quite basic but ok considering it was included in the price.
Super
Very friendly staff
Really good price and good Dorms as well.
Amazing views and comfortable beds
As we say in Dutch, prima
Its pretty rare that I write a review about anything let alone accomodation but this has to be done. In need of a last minute get away I emailed the hostel who sorted me put in no time. On arrival I was greeted by super friendly welcoming staff, breakfast was great, bike storage was perfect for what I needed. The staff could not have been more helpful reletlessly putting up with my endless questions. Super clean, super friendly, super affordable. I absolutely can not recommend highly enough.
Best wifi coverage hostel!
Incredible. Great staff, good vibe, good breakfast, clean and spacy rooms.
Best accomodation for affordable price in the city.
New, clean, good designed and communicated. :-)
Not a good place to go with family. Though its conveniently located, lack of parking and ultra small rooms and food are not worth the price. We were advised tompark the car in the adjacent street and next morning we saw break-ins in more than 4 cars. Luckily our cars were safe. I wont go there again.
Big hostel housed in a cool space (attached to a cathedral?). It has a bar, ping pong tables, foosball, billiards. The breakfast was better than expected. Only downside was no one else hanging around to meet. Maybe not the best hostel for solo travelers
Overall good hostel, to me its more a hotel then a hostel, because we had our own room. This place is targeted towards youth and it shows, very good atmosphere. Great English and French speaking staff (sometimes a little dutch). The room was quite good, although our toilet wasnt secured to the floor and it almost fell over if you sat on it. Good place for youth and for a good price
Nice hostel. Its clean and everything u need when u think of hostel.
Reception hall is very nice and very cheap. But bad rooms with no electrical sockets cannot charge devices and design is not good
Stayed with a group of 25 people, personell was very friendly and the location and building were great!
Stayed here for 1 night in dorm room 620.I arrived at 10am, too early for check-in, but it was okay to leave my bag in the locker and go out to do my one day in Liege. The staff spoke decent English and there were no problems checking in after I came back. You have to take your own sheets and make the bed yourself. The dorm was a six bed room and each guest has their own locker. The locker is narrow, but tall and should easily fit a medium sized bag, plus a couple of jackets. The bunk beds were the metal frame variety, but surprisingly sturdy and I was not at all disturbed by bunk mates moving around. Each bed has their own USB port, power socket and a personal light. Theres a guard that covers the head area and does a good job of blocking out some of the light. The hostels provides Wifi, which worked really well in the room and in the common areas. The common rooms had a mixture of couches and desk tables, plus some games. I think there was a pool table, a table football and a ping pong table. There’s also a kitchen where you could do some cooking with a microwave, oven or cooker.Reasonable breakfast options and excellent for the price paid
One of the Best hostels I stayed at. It has lockers, theres soap in the bathroom, nice staff, good location; only please put mirrors in the rooms and maybe add a bit of variety to your breakfast. Everything is clean
This hostel is great. Beds are comfortable and facilities are fine. There was an all you can eat breakfast included in our reservation and it was very good. There is a common room where you can meet other guests which is always cool.Tap and showers are automatic (i.e. they stop automatically after a certain period and you need to push the button againin order to save water (eco-friendly purpose). But in fact, this is not Super eco-friendly as there is way more water leaking from the tap than what you need to wash your hands 🤨
Very good place and really very clean hostel.I dont expect like this in this city!Excellent place!
If you are heading to Liége for few days with your friends you can choose this Hostel for 25 euros per night (included the breakfast only), the hostel located near Liége Center where you can find alot of shops, bars and resturants around.. enjoy 👍
Showers were so good and very clean hostel !
Friendly staff, clean rooms and restrooms. Good beds with sockets and usb. Nice breakfast. Lively at night but couldnt hear anything from the room. Not too expensive. Would visit again!
Nice lodging option right in the middle of town.. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast
Cheap hostel with access to public transport to reach any part of Liège. It is clean and tidy. The breakfast is okay :)
The bathrooms in the rooms are in a terrible condition (the toilet in my room felt like iy wasnt even attached to the floorand the rooms are okay at best. But it is cheap.
The value for money is really good. We went there as a group and got a small discount. The breakfast had local products and was good. Staff is friendly.
Simple but decent rooms. Beds are ok and clean, service was good. Included breakfast, coffee and juices were nice.
A short walk from the city centre, friendly and helpful service. I got exactly what I expected and wasnt dissatisfied in the least.
It was ok. The rooms are not really clean and there is no good atmosphere. Stuff was helpful, breakfast was great.
Interesting, industrial decor. Good food and an excellent bar. Very nice courtyard for relaxing in the evening
The bathroom setup is very weird and room is crowded with a hard to climb stairs to the mezzanine. The power outlet is far away from bed and no proper place to hang the towels.
Clean, quite comfortable, very luxurious breakfast for a hostel (yoghurts, breads, cheese etc).
Very nice staff, food is great and the whole area is great ! 10/10 would go again !
Its not the best place Ive been too. Actually I spent one night in another much better for 24 € in Bruges. The water wasnt really hot and the rooms dont have locks to keep your stuff. You have to take your own lock or leave this down at the front desk.Despite that, nothing is out of normal, the staff is really sweet and kind and breakfast is awesome as well. You will find plenty of space for everything and you have free wifi access and PCs 24/7 for your use.
Pretty much what you can expect from a cheap hostel. The rooms where clean.
Good hostel. I stayed there overnight for a excursion in the area. Not a broad variety of breakfast and dinner, but it is good. Its 10 minutes walking to the centre from the hostel. Rooms are small as one would expect from a hostel. Service is also real good and employees are really kind and helpful.
Good service and in the middle of the neighbourhood called Outremeuse. Pubs, (ethnicrestaurants and the city centre are at walking distance.
Facilities are very clean. The hostel has this typical sterile YHA atmosphere. Noteworthy is that there is a bar inside. The price for the accomodation includes a pretty good breakfast. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Bathroom facilities and sleeping area in the dormitory are seperated by nothing more than a curtain, this makes it a bit too noisy to sleep when people are showering.
First hostel experience. Much nicer than anticipated. Clean, great breakfast included.
The hostel was clean but the rooms were very small. It is a 20min walk away from the "carré" which is the hotspot for party people. The price was ok and the staff realy nice and friendly.
What you expect form a hostel: simple and small rooms. Breakfast was fine, we wanted to leave earlier so they prepared breakfast including fresh coffee just for us. Awesome. One downside, only one power outlet in our room, so charging your mobile phone overnight was not possible.
Room clean, not too cramped, en-suite with separate loo is nice. Breakfast is good - lots of choice.
What Id expect from a hostel. Ive been here twice. Rooms are fine, theres lunch in the morning, theres places to chill downstairs(see pics others took), theres a supermarket right around the corner and its a relatively short walk to the city for restaurants or fun nightlife.
Easy to reach from liege Palais train station (10-15min by foot), very nice common areas and breakfast. Nice staff. Hair dryers available at the reception. Bed plugs are for USB, not regular power cables. There are few regular power plugs in the room (mine had 2 for 4 people, but 4 more USB plugs). The bunker bed seemed a bit unstable. Felt like it could fall over if a heavier person were climbing it.
Good prices, clean and decent budget breakfast.
I got in at 6:30 in the morning so Ive barely slept. F**king awesome night though.
First time visitor. Stayed as a single traveller. The rooms are functional, clean but basic. The beds were comfrotable and the lockers secure. The room I had faced the main road ehich I would try to avoid. Balcony door was great for air but the road cleaning started at around 6am which was noisy. The staff were helpful, friendly and polite. The hostel has a lot of facilities and it very well equipped for the whole family.Breakfast was basic but nice. The seating was more cantene than restaurant but charming none the less. For the price of a room, I would definitely stay there again. Would be great for the single travellers and family travellers..It is not a 5* hotel which is why you do not pay for one. It is good honest and comfortable but most of all, you will meet like minded people here so the atmosphere is calm, relaxing and positive.
