Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota

Beautiful place, nice room, but small bathroom as you have to stand between toilet and sink to do your makeup and hair. Maid service every day didnt come till almost 5pm & didnt refill water bottles as promised. Then day of check out 8am maid service knocks on door wants to know when youll be checking out. Otherwise the rest of the resort, bar, & restaurant service was wonderful.

A very nice place to spend 2 or 3 days! Be sure to go kayaking through the mangroves it is only 0.3 miles away from the hotel. A nice walk bit you dont have to the hotel shuttle will happy drive you if you just ask. The private beach is clean and calm. A great place to relax.

Stayed here for 2 weeks after we moved to Florida while our house was getting ready for our move in. The food was phenomenal, loved getting to know the staff and the locals around the area. The place was a blast while we were there, vacancy wasnt too high so there werent an overwhelming amount of people. Having the private chairs and umbrellas for the beach was perfect. Would definitely stay there again!

Its clear this place is mismanaged based on the attitudes of the staff and the condition of the rooms and property. Also, be sure to keep a detailed account of your transactions. They dont give you receipts of your charges at the bar and restaurants and now I understand why. I ended up taking a picture of one of the receipts since I had my phone handy and our server Lindsey took it upon herself to add a few dollars onto the tip after I reconciled the room charge with the picture of the receipt. Not sure how many times this happened to me or other people. I would call to take this up with the hotel but based on my terrible experience with Jasmine at the front desk who was rude and dismissive and couldnt be bothered with sending me with my final invoice, I wouldnt be able to reach anyone in management anyways. When I couldnt get Jasmine to send me my invoice I asked for the supervisors contact information thinking maybe she would actually be helpful. Jasmine abruptly put me on hold and never came back. I had to call back a few more times until she finally sent me the invoice. I tried to get a direct number to the supervisor but Jasmine would not give me this information and told me she would have Lizzy the front office manager call me back. I did not have any faith this message would get to the supervisor based on my experience with the front desk. The room we stayed in was nice, but it was very musty and humid. The A/C didnt work very well. I had to call the front desk everyday for things the cleaners never took care of. The service at the restaurants was terrible. The bar tenders were good at least. At one point going from the beach to my room I was asked to stop and show my wrist band at 3 different security checkpoints even though the band was clearly visible. At one point I had to rush my two young kids off because there was a belligerently drunk guy swearing and yelling at someone. The person was obviously over served. With all the security around Im surprised this person wasnt removed before it escalated. There was a lot of construction going on which made the property not very peaceful. What this place has going for it is the location. The beach was beautiful.

Just spent 5 days with grown family. The suites were clean with kitchenettes and the beaches were fantastic. Lindsey at the pool was attentive and took care of all our food and drink needs. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great time taking the shuttle and the trolley downtown. We did very little driving but did so many things. We are making this an annual go to place.

My husband and I just stayed her for our 2 year wedding anniversary and it was our first time here. This place is amazing! From the minute we arrived the staff was so welcoming and service was exceptional.The manager Jason went above and beyond to make sure we had a beautiful stay and memorable anniversary. Our room was beautiful and view was amazing, make sure to catch the most beautiful sunset when you are here!Can’t wait to come back! My husband and I definitely will be regulars at this resort! I havent actually stayed here yet, but weve had breakfast there once, and brunch another time. The resort is beautiful and right on the beach. As far as the restaurant, it was excellent. Both the food and the service were fantastic, and you cant beat having a nice meal, 8 stories up and overlooking the ocean. Even though Im local, were actually thinking about spending a weekend here to enjoy all the amenities. Traffic and parking in the area are a little bonkers, but fortunately the resort does have a valet. Two thumbs up for the Lido Beach Resort 👍👍
