Encouraged by great reviews, we chose this restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately we left very dissapointed. First of all, there was only one waitress (and the place was full), so we waited 15 min just to order, then we waited for another HOUR for our meals. We ordered fried cod, which came out a little bit undercooked. As we already had waited for an hour, we didnt say anything to waitress, because we didnt want to wait any longer, to sum up it was a big dissapointment.

I would recommend this place to anyone. Seems to be recently renewed, food here portions here are generous and really delicious! The waiters are super friendly and kind.With my wife we tried sheftalias in couple of Paphos restaurants and the ones here are our favorite - really tasty!

We had the best meal here last night. We both got the meze menu and it was such a generous amount of delicious food. We walked back to our hotel with full bellies and big smiles on our faces!The owners are so lovely and the place has such an honest feel to it. The prices are so reasonable, too. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

Had an amazing time eating here; food was fantastic and Christos was an absolute superstar - great chatting with the kids etc. Went back plenty of times and never disappointed. Easily the best place we went to (shout out to Christos dad as the chef!). Dont miss this little gem!

Very nice and honest owner. We had the assorted mezze dishes. He assured us we need only to order for three, it would be plenty for the four of us. And it was.

The BEST food in the town! Weve been here twice during our stay in Paphos and everything weve eaten was sooo good! Fresh, tasty, regional. And the owner is a very nice man, who can recommend something for you. Prices are also quite low comparing to other places nearby. 6 stars!

Service was very good. They talk very nicely. But food was average. Meat didn’t taste so fresh and tender. But service was really nice.

Best food we had during our week in Paphos. Charcoal grilled meats are amazing and the service is excellent too.

We had a great meal here - tasty food, grilled with skill on a charcoal BBQ, served with delicious fresh salad. We chose the Meze, which includes 5 cold dishes and 10 hot meaty dishes from the BBQ. We were stuffed! Reasonably priced and very friendly service. We will be back!

Nice original restaurant with lots of grilled food (meat, halloumi, mushrooms etcfor a very good price. For 9€/person (the minimumthe three of us were happily stuffed… While the menu does not have big surprises, a surprise came where we least expected it: the potatoes turned out to be some of the bests French fries. we had eaten: large slices, on the outside very crispy and inside creamy and very potatoey, all very well seasoned. I wished I knew how they make them so nice!The location is not great - busy street nearby. But they make the best of it and with a bit luck you can get a table further away from the street.

Excellent food, had lamb chops 4 large ones perfectly grilled over charcoal. They came with a good salad and chips which were slightly herbed and crisp on the outside fluffy in the middle. All perfect, you can tell this family love their work and are great at it.Will definitely be back.

Great traditional food which has been cooked on chargoals. Not sure about the vegan options but for people who enjoy eating meat this is the goto placeUpdated:Unfortunately I have to remove a star as on my next visit the service was extremely slow, we had to wait for almost an hour to get the first plate on the table.

We went after reading reviews here and so glad we made the walk. If you are looking for original Cypriot food then this is the place. The sheftalia is the best I’ve ever tasted and it’s great you can pick and choice your own small meat plates. Admittedly the service is very slow as it’s a father and son team but what the heck you’re on holiday and it’s certainly worth the wait. Very good value & cheapest meal so far in Paphos.

Staff friendly, we did "make your own meze". Some of the options were a little disappointing, the chicken and the lamb cutlets were mostly bone anot not much meat. However, the sheftalia, liver and pork souvlaki (kebabwere absolutely the best Ive ever had! These options were very good value too, the sheftalia was only €1.50 and was very good quality meat, not much fat. The liver was only 1 euro! I would definitely recommend the souvlaki, sheftalia and liver. Medium village salad was surprisingly big too. Great meze idea.

Incredibly friendly staff.Explained Greek pronunciation to us, and explained where we could find spanakopita.Food is far more authentic than anything else so close to the tourist area.

Very, very good service. After seven people stsrted to arrive and at eight place was almost full. Also quite a lot of locals which is always a good sign. I had a mix of souvlaki and sheftalia. Souvlaki was a bit tastless for my taste but sheftalia was good. Anyway a place worth to visit.

Really loved this place. The host was very friendly and great with the children. We had the traditional Meze, there was loads of food, cooked to order. Good value and great service. Definitely recommended!

This was my first kebab out of England--I ordered the pork kebab and it exceeded all my expectations. A footlong pitta, overflowing with delicious fresh salad, parsley and fresh, juicy meat arrived. Although i usually have a small appetite I managed to finish almost all of it and was left feeling very satisfied (I had it with tzatziki which I would highly recommend). Only adding to it was the lovely staff who were very helpful and good spirited.

Delicious grilled foodFirst time at this tavern even though we have visited the island for many years. This is a small restaurant run by dad on the grill and kitchen and his son, front of house, it’s described as a charcoal grill restaurant.On a mid week day it was a little quiet with a number of local diners, we where the only tourists. If it’s good enough for the local’s it’s good enough for us. Typical Cypriot taverna inside, greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome.Looking forward to a meal of grilled meats and was not disappointed. They have a short menu of grilled meats, starters of dips and accompaniments that you can make into a Meze if you wish. We started with grilled mushrooms, lightly grilled sprinkled with parsley served with their natural juices, just good.Our mains of mixed kebab of Pork souvlaki with sheftalia and my mixed grill where totally delicious. My wife could not finish the mixed kebabs it was so big, it was served with village salad and chips. My mixed grill of pork fillet, lamb chop, sausage, souvlakia, Sheftalia, halloumi served with village salad (including fetaand delicious homemade chips. A ltr carafe of house wine (€11 and best house wine we have had), large bottle of water and complimentary paphos pita totalled €43.50

I had my best souvlaki here and the owner/cook was really a great person to talk with. A really lovely place!

Very friendly owner, huge portions. People with food allergies can see on the menu if something contains allergens. Everything was delicious. I recommend you to try to put together your own meze (small portions of multiple courses up to 15), you cant go wrong with the list.

Very friendly staff and service. The Meze was so good we came back the following evening. Everything appeared to be freshly prepared and cooked to order, which meant that there was a little bit of a wait. The waiter took time to explain what each dish was and which complicated each other. Traditional Cypriot restaurant at a very reasonable price.A previous review stated that the chips were probably the best hed had, I would totally agree. But not just the chips, all the dishes we had were exceptional!Most of the customers at the restaurant when we were there, were returning customers which states alot.Definitely one of the best restaurants in Paphos. Had a delicious lunch here. The chips were some of the best Ive ever had. Delicious bbqd chicken kebab and pork meatballs. Waiter was extremely helpful and explained the various dishes on the menu. Ill definitely be back

Got the meze and it was so much amazing food. Spectacular for the price too. The waiter was extremely hospitable. Would definitely go here again. It was a lovely relaxing evening.

Delicious mezze, enormous servings. Wonderful staff. Great cocktails. We walked from the Dionysus hotel, but easy to find and a nice way to sharpen the appetite. You will have to wait a little time for your food, but it is well worth it.

We visited this restaurant 5 or 6 times. We enjoyed good meals and nice atmosphere of this place.Its always a great pleasure to come there and been served by owners, son and his father.Outstanding Cyprus restaurant.Thank you for the service!
