Liberty Station NTC Park in Tijuana

Beautiful walkable adventure space! Perfect for urban hiking, meeting up with friends, or just getting out to see what there is to see. Great food options too!

Liberty Station is quite beautiful. There are public bathrooms and they often have toilet paper. The water is quite beautiful. The grass is pretty usable. The trouble with the airport being so close is the park is in the flight path so every so often the airplanes are so loud you cant have a conversation for a good thirty seconds.

Its a huge park area. Lots of playgrounds for little kids. Wide open grassy areas for all kinds of recreation. Picnic tables, benches and public bathrooms too.

Beautiful place. Went to the Walk for Sobriety.

Liberty Station is the old Naval Training Center. It is filled with restaurants, shops, a large park for picnicking. A play area for the little kids. I love the walking path that starts in Liberty Station and continues along Harbor Drive, past Spanish Landing Park, winding through Harbor Island. Harbor Island has amazing views of the downtown.

I hate looking for parking and will avoid places with lousy parking. Liberty Station had so much parking! I never have to look too hard to find a spot. Its also very clean and has lots of options for food, entertainment, and walking.

This place is worth a visit. Plenty of things to do, the bay is hop, skip and a jump away. The weather is bliss, if you live inland. Eateries, shops, drinks for young and old(er)!

This is really a great location with events happening all the time. I was here for the Filipino and American friendship festival. While we were setting up,the was a five k run and an E vehicle event and a corporate summer party all going on....you also have lots of little shops and places to eat.More San Diego events should be held here

Great park with access to the San Diego Bay. Sometimes there are festivals or events held here. Last visit for me was during the 2nd Annual Filipino American festival. Great performances, food and many community based vendors.Its also a pretty quiet park, great alone or with a family having plenty of space to walk, exercise and enjoy the views of the Bay. Plenty of eateries near by as well.

Very busy on weekends but great location for birthday parties and group functions

Great place for a walk and for the kids to run. Plenty of activities and equipment for the kids. Come here if you want to spend the day or of you only have an hour or two. Great place with plenty of shade for picnics.

Liberty Station NTC park is very big spread in acres of land. There are many learning center for Athletic activities. Very long track for biking, walking & running at the park. Many competition are organised here.Last we attended 5 kms running race organised by corporates like Service Now.The area is little noisy due to nearby San Diego airport.

Really great place solo or with the family at the park or dining. I enjoy riding my bike around the station and following the bike paths toward PB or Embarcadero. The liberty Station has some of the best eateries. The empanada shop is a must try. The guava and Rajas are must trys, theres mini donut shop, burgers, Thai, and breweries. You can walk around and drink while shopping.

Go there for the playground mostly. Its pretty outdated and sits in the sun all day, so not the most exciting for kids and they cant play on it half the time because theyll get burned.Grassy areas are great for gatherings, sports, and exercise.Open containers allowed on grass...😅

What a great place to visit & dog friendly too! Many wide open spaces to exercise & enjoy w the entire family. We were here for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation walk & had only a couple of hundred participants so I hope next year we can have a thousand. What a great cause! The course was a 2 loop 5K walk w no danger of vehicle traffic & a great walk along the San Diego Bay estuary. Afterwards we walked to Tender Greens to eat & then an ice cream at the Public Market food court!

Beautiful park, awesome, a lot to do, a lot of space, kids can playa around, bathroom are clean. Playground is in great condition and clean. Lots of green area to play, fresh air.

Very friendly area for both young and old alike. There is alot of walking and the side walks are usually taking the long way around, also be careful when crossing the parkways due to no proper crosswalk (almost got ran over due to p.o.p: people on their phonebut if you have no problems with those then this spot is for you.

Avoid like the plague during spring break/college summer! Frat boys leave trash EVERYWHERE. One of them let their dog wander for 2+ hours chasing and killing chipmunks until multiple people called animal control and he got cited. Other than that, gorgeous park and lots of different opportunities.

So excited to discover and explore my husbands old Naval Training Center and now art centre. Nice Navy museum and artists on site were very friendly!

Liberty Station is such an amazing place. Whether you are looking to grab a bite to eat or are just looking for a nice peaceful place to take a walk or sit and read a book. There are so many great restaurants to grab a drink or sit and get a bite to eat. Location wise Liberty Station is in a great space, right by the water. There is also a Public type market where there is so much to choose from various local vendors and eateries. There is literally something for everyone amongst the many vendors inside the market and surrounding areas. One of our favorite standalone locations is Con Pane. They have great sandwiches and baked goods (the butterscotch latte is amazing). Not only are there plenty of places to eat and shop there is so much rich history surrounding Liberty Station. I would suggest taking a picnic or grabbing a coffee/tea and the family and take a walk around the park. There is a lot to take in and learn about its history. No matter what the weather is like it is always beautiful down there and it is always an enjoyable day. We were there Sunday for the Best Buddies walk and literally as we were walking the path you could smell the roses along the path. It was so soothing and relaxing.

went here for a friends birthday on a Saturday and everyone seemed to have had a great time. nice park, fairly well maintained grass, by the water, public restroom nearby, close to restaurants and a grocery store

For a public park in Southern California, this park is one of the best. There’s generally plenty of parking, and there’s a lot of variety when if comes to activities. There are open fields, separate playgrounds for older and younger kids, paved trails and dirt trails, as well as plenty of remnants of the old Naval Training Center. For the anglers, there is generally a steady pick at small spotted bay bass (drop shot rig with a small grub and cover lots of ground), or shovel nose guitar fish (piece of squid on the bottom for the bait and wait).Activities and amenities aside, the family environment is what makes this park stand out from other facilities. It’s great to have a lot of families that actively play with their children and aren’t afraid to publicly correct their children when behavior gets out of line.

This is a place to go if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of San Diego life. This is a prime spot if you are into the exercise scene. I really love the historical aspect of it. If you walk around, you will see historical markers of submarines. My father actually trained on the USS "Neversail" over 50 years ago through boot camp.

The good: there is always something fun or an event that is going on at liberty Station. This weekend was for dog owners. Originally went there to ice skate but got to see cute pups too.The bad: the parking is always rough around here be prepared to walkThe ugly: At the skate Rental the ice skates are so bad, try to bring your own if you can, the blades are not sharp and all of them are bowed from probably years of being worn wrong.

Wanted to put up 5 Stars,but b/c @CityOfSanDiego & CaCoastal Commission has not held Property Lease holders & Developers accountable, we have not seen Waterfront activities center, Use of Historic buildings for real Non-profits, and not use old Military Capitains Quarters as Museum or Artist residence place. In fact, they are still boarded up. Rich&Wealth get their Golf⛳Course on public land, and fancy dining hall & eateries, but low income, working class workers, THAT MADE This Community(Pt.Lomadont get what the need. Homeless center, low-income worker Day Care Ctr(SDPD use&destroyed that facility/bldg BY WATER!?!Hotels & Motels got to use public land, that WE paid for over many decades: Billions, have been co-oped into private business/retail uses!??? Including one of SD Counties Largest Churches... which destroyed a Nuclear FallOut Community Safety Shelter by cutting holes for 🪟 Windows?

Great place to take a walk partly along the Waterfront. Kids might enjoy the loud planes taking off overhead.

Beautiful Bohemian themed baby shower at this magnificent park. There was even 5 star hotels such as Courtyards by Marriott, Hampton Inn and Hilton just to name a few that fully enhanced the elegance of the park scenery by provided kayaking. I even got in a chance to teach my 2 year grandson how to skip rocks. Besides the the park is HUGE. It was a perfect Saturday and every type of party you could think of was enjoyed by all. The park also has paved bike lanes along the shore enjoyed by roller bladers as well. Restrooms were clean too.People please remember to keep your dog on a leash.. Not everyone welcomes a strangers dog sniffing around their food. Keep your dogs germs to yourself.

One of my favorite places in San Diego. My daughter has soccer practice here twice a week. Grass is in great condition, plenty of space. While she practices I take advantage of the waterside path, crossing over the footbridge to run past Spanish Landing. Its clean, with plenty of restrooms, not to mention the proximity to plenty of restaurants and Liberty Station Public Market. There is even Paddle Board and Kayak rentals. Perfect place to spend 2 hours or a full day. With several great hotel options, you could plan a whole vacation from here and never need a car. A San Diego, not-to-be-missed destination!

Lots of room to play, run or walk. Lots to see and not far from food and sweet treats. Always a lot of activities going on. Great for people watching or a peaceful walk along the water.

So cool!! Place is massive all kinds of room for anything you want to do. Plenty of space to post up by the water and chill.There are a lot of loud overhead airplanes, but its right across from the frieken airport. Whatd you expect? 😅

We love this park. So quiet, so clean. There are bbq pits, bathrooms, and a nice playground. The river walk is beautiful. Liberty Market offers tons of food options.If you like planes, they fly over the head atleast every 10 minutes.

Nice park. Lots of space for anyone doing outdoor activities. Play area for the kids is reasonably sized. Sand is clean which is nice for the kiddos. Fun to watch boats and the planes here. Great weather.

Visited Liberty Station it is always great. STONE BREWERY is there. Stpne has great food and great beer. We walked around looking at the new stores. It was a NAVY TRAINING CENTER opened around 1926. You have to see for for yourself.

Nice place for a leisurely stroll with perfectly manicured lawns and fountains that make great backdrops in photos. Nice serene vibe in this area with lots of cool restaurants and shops for all tastes also.

Love this place. So much rich history here where many Sailors began their Navy career. The family and I enjoy coming here as a family with our dog. Lots of eateries near by and a lot of room to relax. Also a scene from the original Top Gun was filmed here. But you dont have to take my word for it.

Nice place to run. There is a dirt path along the bay, and you can easily make a 10 miler out of the rest of the place. Good for families! The kids park even has a mini rock wall!

I love visiting Liberty Station. There is always so much to see and do here. Whether you want to grab a bite to eat at the Public Market or shop for a special gift at the many shops or just relax out on the lawn. A lot of the art exhibits are closed right now due to the pandemic unfortunately.

Beautiful park area with great amount of Naval history. The landscape is clean, green and scenic. Perfect place to have a date, family picnic, great playground area, alot of fee parking space and all restaurants are within the liberty station complex so you can take a walk and eat nearby. I highly recommend bringing your pets here too. Fair amount of shade and very peaceful. The only downside is the airplane engines above you given the close proximity of the airport. Some road traffic can be heard as well. You can ride your bikes, skateboards, roller blades or go fun a run.

Great place to relax! The park is large and peaceful and the waterway is relaxing and you can watch the paddle boarders, and many have of their dogs with them. If you like to watch planes overhead this is also a nice spot. Plenty of shade in the park and a restroom thats open. Plus you can walk to all the shops at Liberty Station

Probably one of our favorite spots to take the kids outdoors in San Diego. We love to ride bikes, feed the squirrels or just walk around the park.

Chill spot to ride a bike, a paddle board or fly a kite. Bring Fido and take a nice, long walk. This place sits just west of the airport so expect some noise. Youre walking distance to great spots to eat. Careful if you like to be barefoot, in grass or on the beach.

Such a beautiful park! Lots of grass to run and play. My dog specifically loves to play fetch for hours so this is a great place for her. Also trails to walk. Great neighborhood too.

Been waking in this park and playing basketball for over three years now. Almost every day. Son shoots and dribble for an hour every day before school. And after that I usually take a two mile walk to get my day started. Great place. Clean and grass is green. They do a pretty good job of keeping the homeless out of the restrooms so it’s safe for the family and kids.

Liberty Station is a great place! Prior to Liberty Station being what it is, my father attended boot camp some ages ago at the same location. Sunday me, the San Diego Supreme Turtles (SDST), and so many affected by suicide walked to support preventing those taking a moment in a negative setting and not having support. There are people that have great hearts and everyone who walked was in great spirits.The day started with our people meeting up and carpooling to the event {Liberty Station} #outofthedarkness showed up and showed out. Registration-check, sticker-check, free coffee [Starbucks], free water, free granola bars and tons of free info and gifts for dogs too. #outofthedarkness raised more than $10,000 within 48 hours. There were shirts made in memory of loved ones. There were poster signs made with photos and a gesture of that loved one posted on the path of the walk. We had bubbles, a drumline that was awesome. I did one lap with a healing sprained ankle. Lots of ice afterwards. I have enjoyed my birthday weekend. Next big event outing will be ice skating. I do remember 13 years ago, walking to the farmers market to get fresh flowers and some new mixed types of fruits and some once upon a time treasure that I still have. A great park for get together with family and friends. Lots of open space in the grass or close to the water. Plenty of room for soccer, football and ultimate frisbee. Wash there were more trash options, on busy days people sadly pile it up near the trash cans.
