Bustling market in an old Navy building with hip eateries, bars & specialty food & craft vendors.
I had no idea that iberty Station had this many stores and restaurantson site. I was attending the Rock Church that is nearby and I decided to walk over.. It had a very nice crowd for it to be a Sunday.. Every 2nd Sunday of the month they have their outdoor market there. They have different vendors selling different items . There was so much to see and so much to do. Youre able to walk your pets also the children were having a great time in the park. You can enjoy a movie at a place called The Lot as well you can have fine dining there too or just a cheeseburger if you like.So many restaurants to choose from !!!This is a great place for a Sunday brunch to do with family friends or even a date.Very clean ground as well
The market is great as always. So many options for food. The facilities are so clean. It was a weekday, but even on a weekend, it is usually easy to find a place around the building to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. We got food from a few places and nabbed a table to play some card games and just enjoy the great weather. the only drawback is of course the overhead planes, but everything else is definitely worth it. There is something for everyone.
Great choices of different foods ...lots of seating outside. Cant believe this is where once a military base operated. Great memories of when I shopped in these historical buildings that are now restaurants and shops. Holiday times are beautiful to walk around lots to see and do.
Love this place! So many yummy food choices and awesome bar/beer store! The outdoor seating is so clean and pretty. Also love the hand washing stations! Such a thoughtful and convenient thing to have. And its kept clean and well stocked.
Great place to walk around, a variety of eateries, anything from pasta dishes, Hawaiian meals, fancy desserts, bar & BBQ to a taste of French cuisine. Its a little bit of everything and lots of shops to explore.
This place is a good one to visit with family or friends, anyone can get their favorite food from different places and all can sit in the same table for a great quality time.I visited this place with my friends in a Sunday afternoon and the place was a little bit busy.I think they should have more tables.I took Fluster Cluck Chiken and was ok.
We came for the Art walk outside of Liberty Station. There were TONS of booths!!Enjoyed viewing volcanic straw art, paintings, photos, and food!I got the 3 variety of tacos (forgot the booth’s nameand a Snickerdoodle cookie at another booth. It was all delicious!Everyone brought their dogs so we got to see so many cute ones with big fluffy bodies to a tiny weiner dog. There were also many free museums and galleries indoors we enjoyed viewing and walking around.Liberty Public Market is huuuuuge and has a LOT to walk around and explore (shopping AND eating)!!There are plenty of restrooms and seating areas everywhere. The grassy areas are beautiful and we even got to witness a wedding (though the many seagulls and overhead airplanes were super loud)!! There is an airport nearby so many planes fly low and loud!!You can even do grocery shopping here at Trader Joes! They really have so much to do here!
Wow what a gem. Literally all the food, tasty beer, a few cool boutiques, great place for people watching. Surrounding area has tons of stuff - restaurants, upscale movie theater, bug free space for lounging and picnics, etc.
Fun place to visit if youre looking for an upscale food court
Lotsa food and choices. Clean. Not really pricey. Limited seating areas but easy to find some. Very friendly atmosphere.
I do recommend this place! So many options. Some are really unique others not so much. One of my favorite is the empanada and the ramen place
Love the industrial vibe here. Relaxing atmosphere here. Good music, full beer bar, and high ceilings. A large range of food selections and small cart shops. Place is unique as it was an old Navy Building.
Great place to go and eat. You can try just about any type of food. Lobster tacos.
Guys. Check out this good hall when in San Diego! It’s a bit pricey but had such great options we went twice for dinner. Ohh. So freaking good!! 10 out of 10 recommend. Here’s what we loved.Aiden age 11, “ Go get the Rad Burger!! It was Soooo good!!”Matthew age 7, “I loved the spaghetti and meatballs from Pasta Design!”Jason age not disclosed, “The really expensive lobster roll. Geez that was pricey (with an eye roll).” This is from Wicked Maine Lobster.April age 40, “You have to try the crab fried rice from Slurp”. Seriously guys, you have to try this. And it was enough to feed all of us.Other winners? Fluster Cluck Chicken. Good for sure but also best name ever award! Westbean coffee was a great cuppa and check out the design in the pics.Anyways, we will say this food hall is a must when in San Diego. Cheers! April
Great place with kids. Plenty of food choices. Use the free wifi. Planes are very loud taking off above.
Market experience similar to east coast marketplaces. There is a good mix of different cuisines but seating indoors can be challenging. Be prepared to either eat at the park or at the tables outside. If outside in the day time conversation will be interrupted every few minutes for planes taking off overhead. Overall prices are reasonable given the unique experience - around 10-20% more than just going to a normal restaurant. Great for bringing guests from out of town and just walking distance to the rest that liberty station has to offer.
Perfect for a group outing where everyone can order the food they feel like eating. A great selection of options from Italian to Thai to French to Mexican! I would recommend to anyone who likes a good food market. Expect to spend $15-$30 on food depending what you get. Parking is super easy too!
Wow! This place is amazing and has much to offer. So many choices, didnt even know where to start. We walked around the food court first to get an idea of what we wanted to try. We chose 3 places: The Pigs Gig for a brisket sandwich with potato salad, good thing we ordered early, thet were sold out by 2pm. Then we tried LAngolino, Italian sandwiches, where we had the Prosciutto de Parma, the bread was thin yet had that great crunch when you bite into it. Great combination of Prosciutto, mozzarella, basil dressing and light mayo. Lastly, tried Wicked Maine Lobster, we had the Lobster Sliders, sooo good! The sliders were just a perfect bite to try the Lobster. We will be making this our regular stop when in SD!...ooh dont forget to try the Beniets at Olala Crepes!
Great place to be social. Food choices are amazing. I loved the Peruvian and Korean foods. The pork belly was fantastic. There is an abundance of available sweets. There a lot of people always here but you can get around and find great seats to mingle with others.
A lot of food shops and knick knacks kiosks almost reminds me of a street fair that happens to be indoors but inside the walkways a bit narrow so feels more a city farmers market atmosphere. Insufficient indoor seating so look for outdoor tables and sidewalk curb divider walls to sit on plus some tables. Had a bit of trouble finding the market because Waze parked us but there are many other buildings and shops blocking the views and multiple parking lots we actually got lost trying to locate our car let alone the market. We were driving away and just happened to see the building sign so stopped last chance. Actually thought all the newer buildings and stores were the market initially. There are not enough signs and maps in the area so easy if unfamiliar with the area could get disoriented. Now is Liberty Public Market a must see for visitors as some websites tout? No. Is it a weekend social shopping distraction? Yes. Dont put it at the top of a must see historic tourist site.
There is no such thing as being bored here. There is always something to do. Walking, taking your kids to playground, going to Liberty Market, shopping at one of the awesome stores, going across the bridge, having a picnic - in soo many different areas of the park and sooo much more!! 1000000/ 10 for my little family for sure.
This place is a treat for a foodie. The vendors include food, clothing, accessories etc. Parking is little tough if you try to park very close to the market, but plenty available if you are ready to walk a bit. Its a bit crowded inside. There are plenty of options to choose from different cuisines. Not all vendors have seating arrangements, Common outdoor seating area is available.
Super cool place to eat and shop. Really enjoyed the selection of food that was offered in the market.
Several cuisine choices; Latin, Asian, Vegetarian and desserts. Very neat with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Surrounding neighborhood is very nice
Oldtown is one of the most beautiful places to check in San Diego, cultural and historical fundamentals of the city were based here. Markets, smoking and beverages stores, restaurants...
First time here...there is a lot of options in this complex. Each business is individually owned and a great way to support small businesses. I had lobster Tacos and a spinach and feta cheese empanada. Topped off with a mini donut.
Lovely place to visit, lots to do. Look forward to The WOW event April 21 -24th.
A great food hall inside the Liberty Ststion (enter through Barracks 14with a wide variety of options. Outdoor seating is available and amble. Frequent several vendors to sample lots of options!
So much here! Dozens of spits for dining. Lots of retail. Live music. Open grass area . And right on the harbor near the airport. A very chic place to go
Always a great adventure at Liberty Station. Amazing food selection and San Diego what more can one ask for.
Great indoor market place with a variety of foods from all over the world.
Awesome place with a huge selection of booths for food, deserts and a little shopping. You cant go wrong going to this place by yourself, with family or friends.Ono Brand was our choice of food and it was absolutely good. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well.
Great food--expextably expensive. Its really like an indoors night market, and just as crowded and noisy. There are some seating areas as well.
Came here for the hype and it’s definitely worth it! I ordered the pizza because it was a good deal since it came with a salad and drink. Tried the ice cream sandwich it was disappointing due to the cookies being so stale. Highly recommend to come here and get some food grab a drink all that good stuff to make some memories. It’s a good place for the whole family. Sure it’s a place that gets packed but that’s because it is very popular!
Such an awesome place to visit many places to eat amazing food!
Beautiful place to go get food ! So many options and deserts from hamburgers to chicken Thai Hawaiian something for every craving açaí bowls Italian macrons ice cream Tres Leche and an amazing outside seating area to eat !
This is a great place to find a variety of shops and food stalls with amazing choices of cuisine.
Fabulous place to shop, eat & enjoy the family setting. Airplanes fly low enough to be excited to see each ones details. Stop for tea at the tea shop!
I love this place there is a ton of foods and all sorts of food and options for vegan and vegetarian diets. It’s also super cute with tea lights all around and very nice gardens. A great place to spend a few hours.
LOTS of FOOD places! Maybe almost anything you can’t think of! There’s a variety of things in the market and outside! Love coming here on the weekends although it can get packed! Might be best to come during weekdays since there is less people. Lot of great restaurants and shops to explore!
I love liberty public market since it has such a variety of foods for you to order from. They also have great desserts if thats what youre looking for tonight!
Amazing Ironman green shake.Stone Brewery required reservations so we missed this time.Pigment store was amazing. So many fun items there.
I Love This Place. Yeah More Like A Market Place. I Seen A Couple Of Nice Shops. I Like All The Awesome Eaterys. I Had Some Delicious Ice Cream From Scooped. I Also Bought Some Pricey Popcorn From Minocqua Popcorn Shop. I Would Recommend This Place.
A perfect spot to hangout and grab a bite! Great for get togethers with friends! If youre sitting outside, you just have to put up with the planes taking off every 3 to 5 mins or so...
Come with an appetite cuz youll want to try everything in here. We were overwhelmed with all the different offerings of cuisine. Liberty market is basically a warehouse with lots of different boosts where people sell . food. We had really good fish and chips from Maine lobster We also found two different stalls that sold macarons and we had a creme brulee at one of the stalls. We also tried Creole Cajun food. I mean theres so options to try. Definitely we will be coming back to try more food.
One of the most epic comfortable places I visited I mean the ocean and beaches are of course epic but if you are looking for a food market / art gallery and random vendors and musicians. This place will not disappoint I was able to buy gifts before flying home and get amazing food and listen to magical music 🎵 definitely check it out on your way home.
Awesome spot! Tons of different cuisine options including Thai, Mexican, Italian, Filipino, etc. Plus there’s plenty of outdoor seating with space for strollers and dogs. You could easily spend an afternoon here as there’s gift shops, coffee shops, and a park all within walking distance!
It is such a fun place for the whole family including your puppies.Take astroll, enjoy great food- there is a big variety of restaurants, there is something for everyone.
This place was recommended to us by a local and it was AMAZING. We had the fish and chips, chowder, and lobster mac & cheese. All three of them were on another level. But youre going to pay on another level as well.Cant wait to go back and try more places.
This place right here is life...... Its a walk in place full of food you dont know what to get everything look and smell so good and they have little places for you to shop at too. The perfect place for me
