Great public place to hang out. Lots of merchandise vendors. Also lots of food vendors. Also if you like outdoor live music and dance this is a place for you.

You need it, youll find it here, but its noisy and not a great place to take kids. The market never seems to end, lots of fake stuff, and you can easily get lost for hours, looking at things you really dont need. Locals seem to be very helpful, but if youre going to catch a taxis, get a price first. They seem to charge way more than they should, hate to say it, but catch an Uber.

Very colorful and historic place to visit in El Salvador. You can walk freely with no worries. Play some pool and drink a beer.

Dedicated to the first Independence movement, this plaza has the statue dedicated to Freedom, poibting towards the sun. A nice place to sit and relax, but somehow dirty. You better stay at Plaza Morazan or Gerardo Barrios.

A lot of history associated with this plaza. To really gain value you must understand this history from the perspective of the Salvadoran campesinos. Include research on people killed at the plaza and on the way to the plaza. Be sure to include peoples history associated with the church adjacent to the plaza (Iglesia El Rosarioas well as the Catholic cathedral that is a very close walk. Be sure to ask about the shootings and the bombs that were used against the people right in front of the cathedral. Reflect on how we avoid this type of painful thing. Visit the remains of Saint Romero under the cathedral. Familiarize yourself with the life and death of Saint Romero. I recommend you first do research on these topics and ask a lot of questions. Then if you visit this place, it will be a very powerful experience for you.

Now the new re built Liberty square is a new place to spend time with family and friends. Its a historical place where the first central American Independence manifest was made. This place was dark and lost before, now thanks to alcalde Bukele is recued.

After remodeling, it has become one of the most beautiful place to visit. It has a lot of history. This place is where every year the president of El Salvador celebrates the independences day.

This place will become a real modern park thanks to Mayor Nayib Bukele, we all support his effort of giving us a better San Salvador.
