Lian Thong Restaurant in Taiping

One of the kind almost nyonya dishes served by the ever friendly and relaxed elderly. Im Taiping origin, not being bias but honestly its a very authentic rustic restaurant at its original raw form. We love the fried tomyum cintan mee especially, the kopi-c-peng-kosong cant go wrong, I went to the moon and back. Prices are amazing, order everything if cant, all very tasty especially the eggplant dish.

Nice and cheap foods. Service crews are mostly senior citizens, so you have to be patient to wait for your food and drinks. The boss is very systematic, taking orders by first come first serve basis.

Its just a regular looking Kopitiam from the outside, but dont be fooled. I came for breakfast and had the Garlic Char Kway Teow. If you visit here you must try it. Sedap!!!

Really authentic Kopitiam in Taiping town located opposite of the two Iconic buildings in town.Which is the Larut Matang and Selamat District Land Office Building & Taiping Kwong Tung Association Building.

Deep fired stuff bean curd is a must . The rest all good .

100% recommended. It’s halal. Overall, i think their bomb mee and Tau Pok are the best! Kerabu Chicken Rice is also not bad. The price is also quite cheap. All workers here are elderly n they are super nice. Would really love to come again.

ABSOLUTELY berbaloi!! If you want to try authentic Chinese dishes, this is the place. HALAL, and the taste gets better every time i come here. For newcomers, you should try Tau Pu Pok, Bomb Mee (deep fried wantan meeand Chicken Kerabu Rice 👍🏻

Lian Thong needs no introduction to the locals. Being one of the oldest Halal chinese eateries around it certainly has it owns charm. Had their bomb mee and just normal toast. Not bad at all. The kumquat was also good 👍 As the owners and operators of the shop are all elderly, the service might be slightly slower but it was great nonetheless.

Nice owner.. when I’m in I saw Muslims are sitting inside, really love the harmonisation in small town, that Muslim & non Muslim can sit together in a Chinese restaurant, who serve no pork nor lard..Besides, the place in opposite of KwangTung Association North Perak, TaipingUncle said, deep fried ToFu Pok must try..And it is real MUST TRY !!!!! 😜🤤

The food is so good and their serving time is unbelievably short. I love their Nasi Kerabu. Recently tried their curry leave chicken rice - it was delicious and spicy. Going there again to try their other dishes.

Honey Lemon drink is a must. It is very rare u can find this traditional drink. At least now i know where to look for. Bit salty and sweet. What a relief to my sore throat!Bread with half boiled egg also made to perfection. The eggs out of my expectation and bread was toasted with salted butter (we suspectwere heavenly good.Bomb mee is above average, almost similar to KL Cantonese fried (kungfu chow). But the sauce here taste better.Lastly, fried taufupok also very good. Never thaught of can eat in this way. An eye openerAmbience is relaxing snd price is cheap

Awesome fried taupok! Bomb mee was good also. Didnt manage to try the egg on toast as bread sold out. So go as early as they open. I went at 1030am on a Tuesday.....

Nice traditional coffee shop with an old school ambience. Serves typical Perakian dishes such as Mee Kicap, Mee Kari, etc., and also half-boiled eggs on toast. This place is also known for their Mee Bomb, i.e. deep-fried noodles drenched with gravy.The shop tends to be full and might need to queue. Waiting time is also slightly long.

A good place for breakfast if you enjoy a traditional setting. During the movement control order, customers have to wait for their turn to be seated. It would take about 10 to 15 minutes for you to get your seat. They are famous for their bomb noodle and homemade honey lime. For you to be served with the food would take about 30 minutes. The taste of the food here is not bad.

The restaurant here is one of the best food in Taiping town.Highly recommended and you should try their signature plum lime drink and tofu pok.They have various selections for breakfast and lunch..

Nice nasi chicken kerabu. Kamquat or honey like is also fantastic. A bit sweet but strong flavour. Recommended.

Not really a favourite of mine. Most of the items were just above average to me. The Bomb Mee would be just a gimmick to me.The one item that Id recommend would be the curry noodles.Worth a try anyway.

Clean chinese traditional coffee shop. Lots of variety on the menu. Curry noodle is not tasty at all. Many customers ordered Nasi Kerabu with fried chicken, must be good.

Early bird get worms eat.Definitely must try in Taiping visit.Eggs on toast, Kaya toasts, double or triple whatever types you like ! And of course the signature golden plum.There are more dishes offer in menu.

Every uncles and aunties are adorable and kind. Prices are cheap and food are amazing compared with the price. They have a lot of choices you can splurge yourself onto. Definitely will come again.

What a signature place for eat. Everything is delicious. Bomb Mee, any kind of Koey Teow, Kerabu Chicken Rice, Honey Lime, Barley, Coffee. Interior is very classic. In rush hour the Queue long enough. You must patient.

Truly a Malaysian cafe ! You can see multiracial dine in this humble cafe in harmony . Beautiful. It has been around for decades ! And the food is yummy . Awesome place to visit if you are in Taiping Town.
