The best thing, location

I just stopped for drinks as I was walking to the end of the beach. Friendly people although I would say prices are tiny bit higher.

Nice place, but the rooms little bit

Leybato punktet vor allem mit der Lage und natürlichen Flair. Viele Bäume, Strohdachpavillons und Häuser, direkt am Meer. Hängematten zum Relaxen. Die Aufmachung ist schlicht, nicht modern und auch nicht regelmäßig renoviert / Instant gehalten.Das Essen ist sehr einfach, aber in Ordnung. Das klassische "Fast Food" , das die meisten Restaurants bieten. Man kann sich frische Kokosnüsse bestellen - wissen nur nicht alle und der Zuständige ist leider nicht immer da.Die Toiletten bieten Blick zu freien Himmel oder Baumkronen und (hoffentlich nicht herabfallendenKokosnüssen, sind daher nicht die saubersten. Aber verglichen mit anderen gambischen Restauranttoiletten bieten sie immerhin Wasser und Seife. Großer Pluspunkt!Leybato ist einer meiner Lieblingsplätze, um einen entspannten Nachmittag rund um Serrekunda zu verbringen. Das Personal ist immer nett, der Ausblick gigantisch und beruhigend, und zudem ist es immer etwas kühler als in der Stadt oder an anderen Strandbars / Restaurants.Zu den Hotelzimmern / Häuschen kann ich keine Bewertung abgeben.

Beautiful

Highly receptive staff, there is a wonderful view of the beach from their hammocks. Watching the sun rise or set from the hammocks is a sight worth running towards.

This has been our Friday night spot with the kids. Come down have a drink and a swim and then dinner. Friendly staff, good food and a great view.

I love their reception.

Här kan du söka upp Lamin Boy, Mr. Darboe från Lamin Village, och bestämma utflykter tillsammans med honom. Han tipsar, fixar grön taxi och medföljer på jättefina utflykter, mycket mer prisvärda och framför allt personligare än du får via din researrangör! Bara gå dit och fråga efter Lamin Boy!

Not a good experience Im afraid. On the arrival had to go to the bar inside the shelter and search hard for the attention just to get menus. Could be waiting until next spring for someone to come to our table otherwise. All our favourite food choices were not available already apparently. The waiting girl wasnt able to recommend anything. We only ordered 2 beers then and had to watch all the nice food that was being served to a big family that arrived after us.Girl took 200 dalasi for 2 small beers, supposed to bring 50 change but never returned. I would be happy to tip and usually do but its not right when they just decide it is fine to not give you change . Its simple advantage taking. Not good at all! :-(

Mister Demba, legen sie das Geld der Gäste in ihre Infrastruktur an, dann kommen wir auch wieder zu ihnen. Ohne Strom und Wasser den ganzen Tag und einem vergammelten Kühlschrank im Zimmer wird das nichts. Preise anheben ist leichter, ob das langfristig gut geht bleibt abzuwarten. Schade um die schöne Lokation.

Its just wonderful. ..one of the best places on earth...

It’s a very cool place to visit for freeing up oneself. The site there about is very pleasing and the hotel is located right beside the beach. It is also not that much far from the road that connects to Kairaba Avenue and shopping malls too are easily accessible from there. Cabs are also located round about the entrance of the hotel zone.It’s indeed a place worth visiting.

Not clean, waitress was unpleasant and not friendly. She had an attitude when asked to bus a table so we could sit down. Had to ask her to bring menus. Who does that?! The pizza was good. But, I had to pray extra for protection from food poisoning because the bathrooms were HORRIBLE!! Nasty and no soap. Im sure staff use the same bathrooms. No soap = germs. YUCK!! The place sits right at the beach shore so it offers a beautiful view. Thats the best this place has to offer.

Obwohl die Gegend ja eigendlich ziemlich ruhig ist, scheint das Hotel doch eher was für jüngere Reisende zu sein. So zumindest meine Erfahrung. Das Personal empfand ich nicht wirklich freundlich und ich fühlte mich nicht wirklich gut aufgehoben, auch wenn sicherlich alles sauber und ordentlich war.

Not a great experience at Leybato Im afraid.On the plus side, I will say it is in a great location right on the beach and a short walk to the town.We found it to be quite run down and in disrepair. This we wouldnt have minded if it had been a little more organised... We were still chasing the person to check in three days after we arrived and when we went to clarify a room cost against a price list provided in our bedroom, they were angry and accusatory (apparently the price list was 7 years old.. Not our fault!!In general, we were made to feel quite uncomfortable about asking questions as the staff were for the most part quite unfriendly.The included breakfast is not great.Even though it was relatively cheap, it was not good value for money.

Nice spot on the beach, with a decent bar and restaurant. Views are comforting, and the straw canopied areas are comfortable and quiet. Rooms are clean, but the beds are on the soft and uncomfortable side. Can get quite hot and humid during the summer months, so go for a room with AC or a fan during that time of year.

I havent stay at this hotel and dont think i will any time soon. I love hanging out at the tables drinking with friends and family. when i go to the brach. The out door toilet and shower need to be attended to there is no shower head and they cost lest than 5 drinks and the out door shower and toilets are very out dated I will give a ☆. On another note you sarve food to your customers ......you need to provide you customers soap at the hand washing base.

Service is slow so be patient when getting there

One of the best cheapest places on the beach. Breakfast can be late. Good for foreigners.

A room on the beach which is nice. Not necessarily worth the price though. The AC isnt always working, wifi shifts down a lot, and the breakfast sometimes isnt out on time. Its good if you want privacy though, and the best tailor works about a minute away.

Rooms have old broken furniture however the bed was firm & sheets clean. Rooms need major update. Lovely oceanside setting. Paltry breakfast consisting of bread, jam, instant coffee, tea, hard-boiled eggs and bananas. They could do better at not much extra cost to themselves.

Had lunch/diner over here. Lovely restaurant with great view and lovely staff. Definitely try the fried chicken , we found it the best in The Gambia. Also the wonjo and baobab juice is recommended

This hotel is not for everyone, however if you want a basic room with a comfortable bed on a nice quiet part of the beach this is the place for you.
