Lewis Park in Courtenay

Nice spot amongst the urban landscape of Comox to go for a leisure walk around the park, or swim in the river. Depending on the season, you may be lucky to see lots of large fish in the water.

Great spot to drum and bathrooms are always clean!

It’s a fine park. Nothing too special. View of the river and of the tubers coming down. Clean.

Used to be a great place to hang out with the kids an go swimming,Now its riddled with homeless people , garbage..Sad sight to see how times have changed

Busy place in the summer.bathrooms were clean and parking was adequate. Great place to enjoy a swim and picnic tables for a nice lunch after.

Awesome park with a great water park. Lewis center is also here, which is a gym with a good selection of classes

Lots of quiet places and appears to be well used as a recreation site by the locals

Beautiful park located by pine ridge River great for swimming and other recreational sports.

Park divided by busy road. Small play park. Baseball diamond. Plenty of free parking.

Awesome park to play ball on and the consession has amazing food.

Park is great. The traffic to get out of Lewis now that the bridge is under construction is awful

Sweet downtown park on the river. Great swimming spot, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, waterpark for kids, an outdoor pool and a great rec center.

Watched the kids rafting down the Puntledge get out of the river at Lewis park while eating chicken burgers from dairy queen while parked across the river on anderton

Swim here every yr. No dogs pls!! Leash only park and way to busy for dogs and boom boxes. There are other places for that, like Condensary bridge-up the river a bit on Anderton Ave or Anderton and 1st (trail head to watering hole good for dogs)

The perfect spot to safely get out of the Courtney River with your floating device. Limited parking because of the 5th Street bridge repairs.

Nice but to many homeless people in the park I like that they opened the bathrooms at least now when you step in poo you know its not human..

Park is in great shape, my kid had fun on the toys and in the spray area. A raccoon stopped by to check on us too!

The homeless presence makes this park pretty undesirable, but what can you do? Theyve got to find a livingroom someplace.

Awesome lunch here. Takeaway right now. Both soups and sandos muy bueno. Big and tasty. Have a special board for quick choice.

We had dinner at the food bus. Very very good! Nice if a ball game was going.

Meh. Good for food trucks on a sunny day and sit in the park. Big field for frisbee, lounging in the sun, etc.Bathrooms are...not very great.

Beautiful, clean and well maintained. Its our place to stop and walk the dogs when we first arrive into town.

There was alot of homeless people hanging out there. They were very polite. But you do feel a little nervous with them. There was also a couple of drug dealers hanging out as well.

Nice large park with beautiful riverside walking paths. The ball fields are one of the best in town also ⭐⭐

Beautiful scenic path with many views o the river. Many opportunities to catch a glimpse various birds, and water fowl. And easily accessible or wheelchairs. A pleasant experience for all.

Great river walk and area for swimming. Strong current so be careful about going too deep in if you arent a strong swimmer.

Fun big park with lots to do here. Baseball tennis volleyball skateboard park water park jungle gym swings frisbee swimming in the river or at the outdoor pool the rec centre has even more to do inside. Come check it out come watch some baseball and enjoy the outdoors there is so much to do. There is also sims park connected for some walking trails.

Nice place to take a walk.Water is River water, glacier fed and cold but, the older teens like it.I suggest you be a strong swimmer if you venture down the tire tube trail down the river.Very popular in the hot months, May,June,July and August, even into September on the hot days.A lot of times , the weather is still great up to Octobers end.

Awesome summer fun place to gather at the end of a lazy river tube.Watch a softball game, play a game of Tennis or Horse shoes.A very active place to be!

Do you like parks by a slow moving river? If yes you will love this place. Also theres a baseball pitch, tennis courts, and often during the summer some sort of local food truck. Lewis is a happening place to be for many people during the fair weather days.

Such a lovely place to have a long long walk in autumn, lots of colors, lots if leaves, looks like a magical colorful little forest specially the other side if the bridge( there is a small path beneath the street)If you are in the area , visit the place if you love fall colors 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂there is no parking lots problem here so you can easily park and start the nice walkeven the parking lot is naturally beautiful :)

A great place to connect with your community or meet new people. Lots of great events through the nice weather months. Good bands including those originating from Comox Valley. This is "Time Well Wasted" - they really had the crowd dancing on the grass. Fun times to be had!

Beautiful place to walk! Lots of trails with many trees that have birds singing in them. A big gazebo for out side concerts or places to sit for shelter. Lots manicured grass with trees here and there for gatherings... Love it! 🌞

Nice trail along the river. We had our dog with us and its a popular place with people, cyclists and dogs. Really enjoyed it

Canada Day 150 was fabulous. We are so lucky to have this wonderful park to share. Lots of trees and cool shade.

Nice big part for the kids to run and play. Has a few baseball diamonds horseshoe pits tennis courts. And even skate park. Its also plays for swimming in the river. Usually has a food truck close by which is nice.
