A nice restaurant on the 9th floor of Tate Modern. Has a superb view of the city! However the food was just average and a bit pricey. Was disappointed as we had higher expectations from it. The hake dish I got came with beetroots which its taste was too strong making it not enjoyable anymore. Overall good for the view and photos but not so great for the food. Probably better off coming here just for the drinks.

Went to Yayoi Kusama and paid for the lunch as well. The lunch was disappointing and very expensive for what was mostly vegetarian options. Don’t waste your money your better off going elsewhere for more flavour and better Japanese fusion food.

Had a lovely after exhibition lunch. It was a set menu and it had yummy vegan options for the started and the main, not sure they had one for dessert.

The food is very good, the view is wonderful, and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating. Our experience was a hands-down 5 stars because the staff were amazing and got us a window seat, so were grateful to them for their hospitality. The decor in the center of the restaurant seemed just ok, so the closer you are to the window the better - ask in advance or wait if theres an upcoming opening. We had actually come expecting a different menu, but in the end all of the dishes we had were very well-prepared and tasty. A nice experience overall.

Had the set menu. The food looked lovely but had next to no flavour and was, as you’d expect, very overpriced. My roasted aubergine was topped with a salsa that had clearly been pulled straight out the fridge and was stone cold, which made the whole dish lukewarm. The decor is drab and feels like a cheap canteen. Unless you’re sitting in the window for the view there’s nothing special about it.

was pleasantly surprised by the experience. the food and drinks were pretty decent, and the view was phenomenal on a beautiful sunny day.the space felt oddly like a school cafeteria though; the restaurant could def do with a more refined interior.

We went to the Yakoi Kasuma infinity mirrors room exhibition and the lunch on level 6 was part of the ticket. Firstly the exhibition is overrated! Was so underwhelming and not worth the hype. You’re allowed 3 mins in the infinity room and 2 mins in the chandelier of grief. Wth is that??I would NOT recommend. Don’t waste your money as there are better places near the Tate. It’s the last time I fall for a lunch included ticket. The food at the restaurant was awful! I can see why it is offered up with the ticket because no one would willingly go. They con you for sure. A two course meal that was part of the deal and then charge you an extortionate price for a bottle of water and service charge?? For what?! Who serves fish on a sauce that tastes like liquorice?! With sweet vegetables everywhere. The starters were bland and tasteless. The toasted aubergine was the only decent dish on the menu. But something you could easily make at home. I’m sorry but your menu needs to be changed and perhaps accept that British food lacks flavour compared to other cuisines. Perhaps consider a fusion.

Nice restaurant in the top of Tate museum, we were surprised about the food quality to be honest. They have different menus and courses to select and the food is elavorated and tasty so it’s a good choice if you are visiting the museum. Service was excellent and the views are amazing, we were next to the window in front of St Pauls Cathedral, perfect lunch. It’s true the price is a bit expensive for a museum, around 45£pp but still recommendable!

They con you here. They tell you that a two course meal is £30. Then if you order the stake they say it’s a supplement and add on £15 onto £30 while giving you 1 starter and one main. Stake with below standard. Not worth £30 for. Plus they charged me for two courses, when I was one person. Manager was sympathetic, but I felt like I was being conned. Put the real prices on the menus. Wine was good.

Attended the Yayoi Kusama exhibition which I was quite disappointed by how underwhelming the display was although it was an interesting experience there wasn’t much to it.HOWEVER, dining upstairs afterwards made up for the disappointment, the view was amazing with large windows allowing you to see over the Thames & the atmosphere was airy & welcoming. The staff were very friendly as well despite how busy they were! The food was great too, I tried a new starter: chargrilled leek & romesco sauce, it was lovely light on the palette and flavoursome, the portion was small but worked out in my favour in the end as I was stuffed after having the main.I had the confit duck for the main which was beautifully done, the vegetables & bacon were a nice touch and packed a lot of flavour. Far better than expected.

The reason for eating here is the spectacular view across the Thames of St Paul’s. The food is ok, nothing special (scone was stale, but the server changed it for something else immediately). So, have a coffee and enjoy the great view.

Overall my party and I had a great time at level 9. The food was definitely great and had an original side to it too. Wine list was also pretty good. Only reason for 4 stars is due to the dishes not being generous at all and the price which seemed a bit too much for what they were proposing. Overall great, probably won’t return soon, but worth a shot if you’re looking for a business or casual chic dinner!

We have been to London twice in the past two years and both times have enjoyed an excellent lunch at this restaurant. Both times it was one of the highlights of our UK holiday. The staff on both occasions were excellent and this time the head waitress remembered us from 12 months earlier. The food both times was great and it was also wonderful to see some English sparkling wine on their wine list (you would be surprised how few restaurants in London have English wines on their wine list). If we are ever back in London we would definitely be back for lunch.

I came here after I proposed to my fiancée for dinner. The staff could not do enough and made the experience an absolute delight. They decorated the table in advance, make sure the fizz was on table and chilled, offered wine suggestions, made food modifications but also gave us the exact amount of space we needed.Great vegan & veggie options and an amazing wine list. If you can get the corner table for the views.Ill be back again and would recommend it to everyone.X

Very friendly and helpful staff. Gluten free and allergy aware as well. Their gluten free bread is the best Ive had at a non dedicated gluten free restaurant. The food was delicious, innovative, and really nicely presented. The view is really nice when the weather is good.We ordered two starters and two mains. The only remark is that my main, cauliflower with cashew puree, the puree was a bit too sweet. Otherwise, it was delicious.I think this would be a nice place to take visitors to.

The overall dining experience was ok, nothing bad. We were here for lunch on a weekday. There was a large group gathering. Our service was painfully slow. Food quality was good, but below our expectation for a fine dining restaurant. Space between tables was quite narrow. Our table was in the center of the dining room, and has no view. Try to reserve a table by the windows if you decide to come here.

Good view over the city (even when its raining cats and dogs like yesterday when we visited), very attentive and professional staff, perfect meals and drinks. I had a Polenta and from now on every Polenta I eat will be measured on this one ... it was a great flavor experience. Definitely a must-go if you visit the Tate Modern.

Service was friendly and helpful. Shame that you kind of loose the wonderful views once you’ve sat down (the windows are a little too high for it to work well when sat). Tables are well spaced out and comfortable. It lacked personality for me but I don’t think everyone will feel that way. Food was good. Creative and interesting menu. Unfortunately our mains too much longer than we’d expected so we had to miss out on some lovely sounding desserts as we needed to rush off. Nice treat if you’re at the Tate anyway and can get a table, not sure if I’d travel across town for it though!

For a museum restaurant, the food is good. But as a vegetarian, it frankly makes you sick to the stomach when you order pan seared cod and find pieces of pancetta or bacon in your dish, when they were not listed on the menu. And while I was able to push them aside and just eat the fish, sneaking pork into a dish and serving it to a Jewish or a Muslim person is absolutely appalling. The service was good, ambience was okay, the view is not the best - members’ room offers a much better vista.

Busy restaurant on the 9th floor of the Tate Modern. There is only a set menu £29 for two courses. Had the onion and cheese tart as the main course but nowhere did it mention that pear was an integral part of the dish! Service was very slow particularly for drinks some of which came after the main course. There is music in the background which is unnecessary.

I was treated by a friend visiting from another country who fortunately benefitted from a good exchange rate as I felt it was very expensive for what we received. The food was fine, we had no complaints with the staff or service and the view over the river was good. It doesnt feel like a high end restaurant but if it werent in the Tate I doubt there is enough to really make it stand out. However if you are visiting the Gallery and money isnt an issue then its definitely less congested and a better option for a cooked meal than the cafe.

Food served was good.. Credit to the Chef😊Service and welcoming of customers can be improved by the staff. The bar has high chairs which provides a very good view of the River Thames and the dining seats are designed a bit low, hence you get the view only if you stand up.

Three of us had lunch at the Tate Modern Restaurant during the Martin Morales Ceviche take over weekend. The meal felt like a real event thanks to the wonderful flavourful, vibrant food that was so lovingly cooked and presented, the service provided by the delightful, charming and patient staff and the atmosphere created by the art works on loan from the restaurant, music and themed cocktails. We were all blown away by our meals and my husband said that his lamb dish was the best lamb dish he had ever tasted. To top off the whole experience the warm and gracious chef Martin Morales stopped by at our table to talk to us and gave my sister (we were celebrating her 60th birthdaya copy of one of his books with a signed message in the front. Now that I have met him, I can see that his food is an expression of his personality. Thank you Tate Modern Restaurant, Martin Morales and the staff for an unforgettable lunch at a very reasonable price.

Really bad service set up here. No one meeting and greeting, so I ended up sitting at a table for ages until I had to ask for a menu. The Picasso set menu looked great but I was told I could only order from it if I was seated in the restaurant proper (which is the other side of a small partition so you would never make the distinction unless told so). The restaurant proper was full and I was toldva seat wouldnt be free until late afternoon. Very disappointing.
