Les Brumes du Coude in Moncton
Description
Privilege
A fantastic place...Great staff.....
Had dinner here before returning to Montréal from our vacation. It was excellent on all counts, service, food and ambiance. Pierre our waiter was attentive and very pleasant.
MoreAmazing food, wonderful place but a tad noisey as on a main road. Reasonably priced for the very high quality.
MoreOur food was amazing! Great French restaurant with staff giving four star service! I would love to return to try all of the menu items.
MoreVery limited menu selection, unclear description of menu item. We ordered lamb thinking it would be a warm dish turned out it was a cold dish, very small quantity in relation to the price. Staff courteous and nice. We tipped them for the service but did not like the food
MoreThis is a five star restaurant in my heart. Not only me but also my daughter and friends love the food so much.
MoreUpper level restaurant with a nice patio. We were first seated inside and then asked to sit outside. No problems at all and we appreciated being on the patio on a warm night. I ordered the beef tartare and it was delicious! I was very happy with my choice and it filled me up. Note depending on what you order, the portion size may not be enough for some people. My friend enjoyed his meal, but the portion size was more of an appetizer to him. The string lights on the patio came on when we finished our food. It added to the ambience, though we did not enjoy it while eating.
MoreTime after time this gem of a restaurent never disappoints. The food is just amazing and so perfectly balanced and tasty.
MoreGreat location, amazing staff. Food is usually amazing but they have a hard time cooking beef and it breaks my heart. All of their ceviche/tartare/oysters are absolutely exquisite. Unfortunate for a place that is top ranked in Moncton.
MoreGood food...well priced...Love the ambianceGood service...
Best food ive had in a while, calm semi casual atmosphere
NICE menu. GREAT service. Friendly people.Bistro style dining. Informal setting, but outstanding French style bistro food. HIGHLY recommended.
MoreGreat atmosphere and food experience as always! The taste of legal tartare hits different.
MoreThis place is a nice French Bistro that I had the pleasure of having lunch at with my party. I have eaten here several times and both the food and service are consistently excellent. We had the seafood pizza which was fresh and made on their wood burning stove which made it extra tasty. We also had the borrata which was delicious. I would recommend this place for anything from a romantic date to dinner with the family as they were welcoming to all these groups. Make sure to make reservations as its a popular spot.
MoreExpensive, but definitely not overpriced; everything from the seemingly simplest of items on the menu here is exquisite!
MoreOur meals were absolutely delicious. I had to stop myself from ordering everything on the menu because it was just so good that I wanted to try it all.
MoreThe staff is always friendly and great! I love that their menu changes every week. They are probably one of the best fine dining restaurants in the city. Even if you don’t speak french you dont feel ostracized for it by the staff. The food is always amazing. I have been here several times as it is around the corner from my apartment. Their top appetizers I would recommend is their beef tartare or buffalo mozzarella. In the summer they have a very nice lemonade they make also, its so refreshing. In winter their seating is limited but when the nicer weather hits their patio is probably one of the best in town. It’s higher up and not on the ground level like many in the downtown area.
MoreTheres a reason this restaurant was rated top 100 in Canada. The French bistro type dinning area with an outdoor patio makes you feel like you are in Europe. Chef Michels creative menus change all the time so there is always something new to try. The dishes burst with flavor.
MoreI think that the people who gave this restaurant a five star, are probably people who havent seen much outside of moncton and/or new-brunswick.This is based on my visit in moncton in summer of 2019.Ill be as objective and honest as possible. The food(depending on whats on the menue, on that day), can be very delicious, some other times, not so much. But, I have to admit, its one of the few(if not the onlyrestaurant in the area that can make food that actually has Taste. Most other places in moncton/nb/Atlantics, the food is almost tasteless. Now, on the more or less unfortunate side, the restaurant has absolutely no intimacy, no warmess to it. The terrace is what helps the restaurant. But even with it, its not a huge plus. Its not a place I would bring a date. The place feels more like a "lunch/buffet/grill" environment. Even if the food is "nicely" presented. And lastly, the waiter and waitress were speaking Chiac( mixture of English and French), and not proper French, which is very unprofessional. Speak proper English or French.Just an advice. So overall 3/5.Its not fine dining, but its much better than what youll find in the area.Another plus, portions are small.
Morereally great restaurant excellent service to stop a really good the prices are really fair the facilities extremely clean the tables are clean the bathrooms are clean you never have to wait long for your order I highly recommend anybody looking for some good food to check this place out you wont be disappointed thanks for everything guys hope to see you soon to the near future
MoreAbsolutely fantastic. Great vibe, decor, and the rotating menu is always 11/10. Good selection of cocktails, beer and wine too.
MoreLocation: Close to the downtown core - for us, it was a 6-minute drive from West Street. Street parking is available but limited so Id get there a few minutes early in case you need to circle. The place: The space is great - its small, with bar seating and about a dozen tables or so. Very hip, casual vibe with great tunes. The goods: Well, where oh where do I start? We ate our faces off is where Ill start. I ordered the shrimp as a starter - these were served in a ceramic, covered pot and I think they had been cooked in the oven but I dont know. All I know is that they were served in butter or oil, they were NOT cheap on the serving, and I enjoyed every last one of them along with that delicious crusty bread. But wait - Im not done. I actually ordered another starter (yes, I am a pig but I shared this one- olives and anchovies. Im generally not a fan of anchovies but these were so, so good, with lemon and this nice zest of flavour that initially startled the heck out of my taste buds. My friend also approved. In fact, the first words out of her mouth were Oh my God, WOMAN. She had the beef tartar and loved it. As a main, I ordered the squid ink risotto (yep, you read right - risottowith baby turnips and seared scallops. Jesus, Mary and Joseph was it ever good. Theres not one thing I didnt like about the dish except for the fact that I had a little too much risotto! My friend ordered the homemade pappardelle with Portobello mushrooms. She didnt say much while she ate which means it was a hit. Then, because we hadnt eaten enough already, we ordered the chocolate tart for dessert. Im shaking my head as I write this because Im ain disblief that I ate that much food and bI am still in awe of that tart.Service: Great! Our waitress even gave us tips of places to go the next day, and drew us a map of a secret beach spot.Price point: $117 including tip, for all of that deliciousness. Definitely add this to your list if youre in the Moncton area.
MoreAlways some interesting new food items. Some of the best drinks in town. Ask for a Raddler, youll be pleasantly surprised!
MoreFun atmosphere and great rotating menu
My husband and I were looking for French cuisine in Moncton and found this gem. It is warm and inviting, tucked in a quiet neighborhood with an outdoor terrace. When we arrived, I was full of anticipation for good French food. Unfortunately we were told, the chef had gone on vacation and had left the kitchen open to his sous-chef who is Vietnamese. And so we were treated to a delightful pop-up Vietnamese meal that I would say was wonderfully tasty and authentic considering the challenge of finding Asian ingredients in New Brunswick. They did the best under the circumstances and we were served by courteous staff. Our waiter Daniel was very knowledgeable about the local area, made us laugh throughout dinner service and was super accommodating. Thank you for an enjoyable evening! We surely will return, next time for French food!
MoreWent for brunch. Fantastic service and cozy environment. Food is amazing, a definite must go in Moncton.
MoreDiscovered this restaurant during a short visit while staying on Main Street. Not exactly sure why this little gem did not show up as a top recommendation, but am I ever glad to have walked by it. (Google please bump!!)We were told that the menu changes daily, and the options were great. Every dish was fantastic.Glad I got to dine here!
MoreWe had dinner here last night and it was amazing. The food was excellent. The environment and music were awesome as well. Add some great drinks and this just became our favorite spot in Moncton
MoreAwesome little French restaurant in Moncton and a short walk from our hotel downtown. Seasonal items and everything is fresh.
MoreWent for lunch. I had a pulled pork sandwich, a gin and tonic, a latte, a macaron and a lemon cookie. My wife had a ham and vegetable soup. The food was phenomenal, the drink was very good.
MoreThis is a beautiful little place. The food is absolutely delicious, regardless what you get, and the service was surprisingly quick for a lunch rush. The menu is all in French, but the servers explain what everything means if you cant understand something. No wonder this place is one of Canadas top restaurants. I highly recommend to go here if youre in Moncton!
MoreA great place for dates and fine dinning, it is expensive, but I did not leave on an empty stomach by any means. Not to mention the great atmosphere, staff, and views.
MoreReally enjoyed the breakfast. Food was top notch. Really recommend this restaurant if you havent been yet.
MoreAmazing food and service. One of the top fine dining restaurants in the Greater Moncton area.
MoreGreat food, excellent service. True... Noisy, and they only had one dessert option left at 7pm on Saturday evening (with completely booked the rest of the evening), but one yummy salted caramel macaron helped soften those minor complaints.
MoreJust had dinner here last night. Fantastic food and service. I would say they have the best food and cocktails in Moncton. You can tell they love what they do and they do it well!
MoreNice meal but staffs behavior just after we paid our nearly $500 bill (for two couplesmeans we will never return. Les Brunes du Conde left a very bad taste with us when they finished our meal by asking us to leave as another reservation had just arrived. There were other empty tables and we finishing a conversation. Our $500 visit to the restaurant was just under 2 hours.
MoreI see that this place is highly rated and I hate to pour cold water on this local hotspot but after 2 tries I can only say that I am underwhelmed! When you are charging 15$+ for apps and 30$+ for mains, you better be able to deliver outstanding gastronomy. Our party of 6 had a good selection of what was on the menu. Presentation was decent but the food itself was just ok - certainly not much better than what you can get elsewhere at 1/2 the price. On the plus side the service was excellent and the staff are warm and efficient.Atmosphere wise the decor is hip/cool but because it’s one big room it is very loud so you can hardly hear your tablemates. Forget about having an intimate get-together...Brumes du Coude have a rep for great food and after dropping $160 on a meal for two that was just ordinary I can only say that we won’t be back anytime soon! IMO the food does not warrant the reputation or the big dent in your wallet.
MoreSome of the best food Ive ever had. They use a lot of local produce which is awesome and you can definitely tell that this food is cooked and presented with passion. The service is 10 star. Very cute and cozy atmosphere.
MoreIncredible experience. The menu is described to you as in detail: ingredients, cooking method and flavor. The waiters are simply outstanding! I would like to thank Pierre for making our dinners unforgettable.
MoreWe had dinner here with a group of 10 people. Its a great little spot. Very good service and the waiter did a great job of explaining the menu. The food is on the expensive side but the quality is very high so I wouldnt say its overpriced. Everyone loved their meal. Highly recommended.
MoreAmazing spot. Always my first choice when wanting to grab a bite because I know it will be quality>quantity. If you want a plate of french fries stick to big stop and the like. Here you will find quality food, amazing servers and great atmosphere - not to mention the nicest patio in Moncton. Whether you’re with a group, or bellying up to the bar this place should be on your list! Zero complaints.
MoreGreat flavours. Unique dining space with a new patio - perfect for the summer. Lunch service varies from dinner which is much more fine dining focused.
MoreBest place to eat in Moncton. Relax and laid back atmosphere. Not a huge menu selection as they have their daily menus (2-3 optionssatisfying all tastes. Service is fast and enjoyable
MoreBeautiful deck for eating outside in the summertime. Lively atmosphere and tasty food. The lunch options all sounded so good and used, in season, local produce.
MoreThe best Restaurant in all of greater Moncton. Truly! Book ahead as the restaurant is small. Dont leave Moncton without visiting Brumes du Coude!!!
MoreThe atmosphere was great, the terrace awesome, the servers friendly and knowledgable. Most importantly though the food is AMAZING!! A definite must when in Moncton, dont forget to call to reserve a table though because this restaurant is busy!!
MoreAmazing, the place to go for lunch or souper in Moncton!
I would eat anything prepared by this chef. Menu changes every month, which is part of the charm of this place, because you get to try so many delicious plates over time. Service is amazing as well. Great wine and Scotch / whiskey selection, and they always have a few good microbrews as well.
MoreDefinitely a charming place to eat , the atmosphere was great , the menu is always fresh and changing weekly! The attitude of the knowledgeable staff really compliments this hidden gem! I had called to reserve my table and I had them set a bottle of wine out for me before I had even arrived.
