LemonGrass Sushi Thai tapas in Saint Petersburg

Such good food!! I had pad thai and it was incredible. Large portion and tasty. I also had the Mexican roll and that was delicious as well. Will definitely be returning!

Had a great meal with my lady, She started with the Dreamy Clouds sake and I had a Kirin Light. As usual I ordered too much sushi, but took the leftovers home. The sushi was fresh and delicious, plus they had a couple of rolls that I hadnt had before. When I say Sushi I mean raw fish and the sushi at Lemon Grass is superb.

My first time at Lemongrass for lunch. Great food awesome customer service from AJ!! Ask for AJ, hes not only hospitable, hes also cute!!

I ordered the Thai chicken in garlic sauce. Flavorless sauce, chewy chicken, soggy vegetables with a side of brown rice. All for $19. Never again. Im from San Francisco and used to eating really good Thai food. My search for good Thai in Saint Pete continues.

Phenomenal presentation and outstanding food

This is probably the first and the last time. Foods are little sweet.

Located at downtown St Petersburg. Great food, super tasty. My favorites were the appetizers! Crispy tofu with plum sauce, Thai spring rolls, shrimp tempura and dumplings. We also had several rice dishes with veggies and sweet and sour, cashew veggie sauces and masamang curry.Worth trying!!!! Parking on the street or covered parkings in the area.

Embarrassed me in front of my girlfriend because the tip I left “wasn’t enough” for a $60 bill. Great food , mediocre service.. if you dine there make sure to leave a great tip of you’ll be embarrassed in front of your whole party.

There is a particular server flamboyant dude who would not stop bothering me while I ate, he was not even my server. After a while it seemed he was doing it spitefully and I will not be going back to this resturaunt ever again.

This place is really nice! Came here on a weekday to avoid the rain and my friends and I felt hungry. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful since none of us had ever had tapas before.The food was pretty good, came out quickly, and the portion sizes of the fried rice specifically were massive. Overall upbeat and friendly atmosphere, would definitely come again!

Not reaching their potential. Good location and decent layout. Restrooms were horrible. Sushi rice was dry. Chicken pad thai had a fishy, sewage smell to it. With so many good reviews, we did not hesitate to eat here for lunch but I cannot recommend it.

What a beautiful honest Restaurant. Someone turned my phone in to Eddy. I had driven to Tampa and realized I left my phone. I drove back to St. Pete. The security guard Henry waited for me to return after the Restaurant had closed. Ms. Mind. If you dont know by now! You have a wonderful group of honest people working for you. I will return very soon for Dinner. My daughter was kicking off her birthday weekend. I was still full from earlier I stated we will return soon . Whom ever turned it in. Im forever grateful. This place is my personal favorite place to go for Thai food. The portions are fantastic considering the price and the quality of the food. Im a pad thai fanatic and theirs is top notch!They also have fantastic sushi, soups, curries, and many delicious dishes! I love my usuals but I really try to get new things every time I go. I have never had a bad meal and always get tons of left overs!SO GREAT!

I was out on a special day with my girlfriend who is Vietnamese and she said she wanted sushi, so as we were in the St. Pete area we drove by this place and decided to stop in. It was a Sunday evening around 7 and there where a lot of open tables. Its close to the pier which was our ultimate destination and so there a lot of great culinary options around.Parking was hard to come by even on a slow Sunday evening as there is some construction going on in the area that limits your options. The restaurant itself is inviting with wide open spaces and big picture windows that look out on the street. Seating is a mixed bag. Its all geared towards large parties with long tables. In fact I dont think I saw a single 2 top in the place. Since the place was half empty when we came it wasnt a problem and we got one of the few 4 tops all to ourselves. It did make me wounder though about our chances at having an intimate dinner on a busy night. I imagined wed most likely have to share an 8 or 10 top with 2 other couples. But theres nothing wrong with communal dining, just bear that in mind.The place was clean, but the bathrooms where not impressively clean. That was a bit of a draw back.The service started out poorly, but ended up well. We sat for a couple of minutes before another couple where seated in the 4 top next to us, and a minute or two after that a young lady approached them first and got their drink order. She told them it was her second day on the job. Then she turned to us and asked for our drink order and then disappeared. A couple of minutes later the couple next to us got their drinks, but we sat for another minute before the young man who had sat us showed up and asked us if someone had taken our drink order yet. That was a bit confusing, but I said no and we ordered again. My thinking was if 2 actually come, well drink both. Only one drink order came. The young man also took our food order promptly. After that the service was impeccable.The food: I ordered the miso soup. I always judge a Japanese restaurant by their miso. My woman ordered a shrimp soup with a lemongrass base. She told me to try hers before I tried mine. It was out of this world! It was the kind of soup you want to beat people up for! The miso was equally impressive, but do yourself a favor and order any of their signature lemongrass based soups.I ordered a spicy tuna cone. Its been 20 years since Ive seen a "cone" on the menu, but let me tell you, this was done to perfection! At that moment I knew Id be coming back again. She ordered a volcano roll. Thats simple enough, but this roll was a work of culinary art! As I tried a piece or two that she put on my plate I couldnt help thinking, how do they charge the prices that they do for this amazing food? I ordered the shashimi dinner. The menu said there where 9 pieces. This giant wood block came with at least 25 pieces of shashimi. I dont know if they were giving it all away that night because it was slow. I thought maybe they had mistaken my order for the shashimi dinner for myself as shashimi dinner for two.Nope. The check came and I actually looked at it which I never do and it all came to 75. So 100 after tip is a little high, but we both struggled mightily to eat all that food. It would easily be half that with our normal eating habits. We just had no idea how much food wed be getting. However, this place will make you fat! LoL!! Ill be back no doubt, looking for consistency next.

Veronica is the most Awesome severe I have ever met. She is friendly, tells you whats good on the menu, she leaves you to enjoy your meal but stays in sight in case you need something. She is wonderful asset to this location ❤

My family and I came here after seeing Top Gun: Maverick at the AMC Sundial IMAX, and let me just tell you...the food and service were both AMAZING!!! The sushi was so fresh, the curry was delicious, the portions were huge, and everything was just seemless. Alot of us got a full sushi rolls (Wallflower, Big Daddy, and Paul), and they were so big. Also, the plate of fried rice is huge as well. Everything was just so delicious and after having two failed visits to Sushi, Inc. a few blocks away, I am so happy to know that there is an amazing place for us to grab some sushi whenever we are coming up from Sarasota. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!!!

We had amazing service and the food here is delicious! The rolls are large so you’re getting a good amount of food for the price but it is still excellent quality fish. I’ll definitely be returning.

The sushi was great! Recommend.We also ordered an egg noodles curry but it needed salt, spice and was lacking vegetables. We took it to go and I fixed it the next day and had it for lunch.Bathrooms were dirty but everyone seemed busy so I didnt mention it.

Weve dined at many Sushi Thai restaurants in recent years and I can say that this is one of the best. Dishes from both cuisines were prepared quite well, and they were very flavorful. Even the edamame was cooked to perfection. Well be back for certain.

Very yummy Thai tea and crab rangoon, the fried veggie spring rolls were pretty good. Not a big fan of their green curry but everything else made the overall meal good. Definitely will be back for the Thai tea and crab rangoon! I was confused by both fried items coming with the same classic Thai dipping sauce, though, since the menu says the crab rangoon is supposed to come with plum sauce. I love the classic sauce, but yeah. Im guessing they were just out of it today or something, I hope to try their plum sauce in the future!

I really enjoy Thai food. The food was good but the server was a bit confusing and they forgot our spring rolls, but charged us. I don’t like how they were in a rush to close. Overall nice place and good food. The teriyaki salmon had too much teriyaki on like they drenched it. I wish I had a photo.

Been there several times - a great place to grab a bite before checking-out the Chiluly gallery a couple of blocks away. The food is authentic (REAL wasabi!and the service is consistently good. You csn watch your meal prepared - I always like that!

This place was great! Lots of different ways you can order as most items are available as a half roll, full roll, or cone. I’d highly recommend this place if you want Thai, sushi, or just mix and match lots of different varieties of food. Everything was great!

Great for couples, lunch or dinner. Nice atmosphere with courteous staff. It has indoor and outdoor seating. I had a ladyfingers sushi sampler and a spinach soup.

Lemongrass is a cute place to go for lunch or a dinner date! They have huge portions and affordable pricing!! The only reason I gave them a 4 star is because the service was not up to par. After being seated and out drink orders were taken, we didnt see our waiter for 20 minutes.. so the overall experience wasn’t great.

Obtaining a table here on a busy Saturday night can be a sign of luck or a prelude to the food. We gave LemonGrass a try after striking out at many nearby establishments. Turns out it wasn’t luck...This restaurant is busy at dinner time and for many patrons, this serves the purpose when your hungry. Being a connoisseur, this was less satisfying than we expected. Nonetheless they will continue to serve many hungry patrons.

Absolutely amazing thai curry and sushi. Environment is perfect. Music is great and not too loud where I have to yell to have a conversation. Very clean.The red Thai curry took a bit to get to the table but it was worth it. Fresh ingredients, perfect level of spicy.The sushi was very fresh and delicious. Generous and perfect demonstration.The service was perfect. Probably wont go back to Sushi Inc. This is the new spot for the wife and I.

If theres one place in St. Pete to eat its here. I could eat here everyday for the rest of my life and id be content. The food is outstanding and every time i come home from college i eat here. Best Thai food in st pete ive found and its a great date night or truly any night dinner.I pretty much always get the beef pad Thai. I dont know what they put in it that is so different but its the best ive had thus far. No amount of cooking pad Thai with different recipes or other Thai restaurants have come close to matching it.They also have sushi which is great on the many times ive tried it. I also recommend the Thai tea and coffee, both are great as well and not too expensive.One last note, the staff is amazing!!!! After coming here so many times they recognize me and my girlfriend every time, cant tell if its a flex or embarrassing but ill take it. They know our order when they see us, even down to extra spice and extra noodles. Love the staff more than anything.If you havent eaten here, drive over for dinner, you will not regret it!

The sushi menu lacked creativity and was honestly not worth the price. Even the basics- like the california roll- were pretty bad. Clean place and staff was friendly. But the food just isnt worth it

I honestly haven’t given the other menu options a chance because the pad Thai is just THAT great. It’s so fresh and aromatic with hints of citrus whichCompliment it perfectly. The portion is huge I should add. The staff is very friendly and kind . I will return here again and again and again .

Fantastic food and service. This place should overall have a higher rating than represented. All the staff were incredibly friendly, especially our waiter, Tee. He was so friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Sushi boat, intended for 4 people even though we were a party of 2. Definitely worth it for the price. Tee gave us some fantastic recommendations for which rolls we should order. The miso soup was really amazing. The rolls were very tasty and the quality of the sashimi was ok, not amazing but good. Highly recommend for a chill evening out with friends.

Wow! Amazing food. Everything was delicious. Generous portions, beautifully presented. We sat outside on New years eve and enjoyed every bite. Our server was very good and certainly knew about Thai food. Plus he had a great sense of humor.

Everything is always fresh and delicious! Very convenient location downtown and I like the outdoor seating they have available. Their sushi is fantastic and I didn’t realize how large their rolls were when I ordered two of them! Customer service is always great and I’ve never been unsatisfied! I requested a special order roll and they made it with no problem.

The wait for the food was pretty long, (45 minutes, even with a reservationbut we had a large group and it was the dinner rush. The food was great and there was SO much of it, so go when youre hungry. (Attached is the beef noodle soup and the beef fried rice)
