Lekki Conservation Centre - Nature reserve in Esuk Oron, Nigeria
My best part of it was "THE CANOPY WALKWAY". It reminds me of a school trip to Obudu Cattle ranch .Its quite thrilling , saw a huge tortoise & a peacock for the first time .Ticket is affordable 2k for the walkway & 2k for the park.
Lekki Conservation is a place you go to reconnect with nature in Lagos. The main attraction is the canopy walk. The view is just breath taking. The family park too is a good place for a picnic and lovely place to commune. PS. Beware of thieving monkeys
For the adventurous! The main attraction here is the popular Canopy walk which is fantastic especially for the adrenaline junkies. There is a tree house as well. They also have a family park for picnics and chilling. However, there are not enough activities/games available.Youre allowed to bring your food and drinks to the family park as well.
It was a really thrilling experience. Ill admit theres not much to do in terms of games and fun but the canopy walk is just a thing of joy. You really should try it out if you havent. Oh and when you do make sure theres no food on you as those monkeys can be pretty aggressive if they spot any food on you
I can simply call this "The Aquatic garden of Eden". Such a Haven of nature right in the city of Lagos. One couldnt exhaust the perspectives of pictures that could be of this place. The walk was something else as well as the treehouse. Not so much variety of wildlife but it is nevertheless an exotic Haven of nature.I particularly noticed, tagged on the trees, the medicinal uses of the trees found in this place. In deed, trees and herbs are for the health of man.The pictures herewith attached will attempt to present my conviction/ impression of this place. It teamed with tourists and I felt to depart the facility in a distant future.
Lekki conservation center is a Nigerian nature reserve, it’s one of the few vibrant location for tourist in Nigeria. It’s my second visit to LCC and this time around I visited the family park, it was an awesome experience, the family park is a world-class picnic haven and offers nature walks, picnic & sporting facilities for family and you will definitely love the experience.Entry ticket is pegged at N1,000 with an extra N1,000 if you will be going on the canopy walk, I enjoyed my visit and think you should consider visiting when possible.
I really enjoyed the canopy walk, although it is not for the faint of heart. Asides the staff at some points of the canopy, I barely saw any other ones throughout the tour. The lady that took us on the tour before the walk, was very nonchalant and was probably tired and also didnt say much. Its best to go here in a group in order to fully enjoy yourself.
My first and only time at the LCC was last weekend when I decided to take some time off work and get some fun experience. I enjoyed my time there, from the walk through the first to the canopy walk and then the tree house. I think it’s worthy of note that the treehouse is more terrifying than the canopy walk, but that’s just me lol.In all, I had a great experience and I would love to come back again anytime.
I have been here thrice and it was nice. The environment is serene with a lot of monkeys. There is a peacock and tortoise that is always wandering around. The canopy walk is always fun because you will always meet different types of people on it; the ones that thought they are brave until they discovered they have fear of height, the cheerleaders, the indifferent. I recommend going there on a weekend around 11-12pm, when you will have just the right amount of people around, everywhere starts to get a bit over crowded from around 2pm.
Wow! So many exciting things to see! Beautiful environment. Although the canopy walk was under maintenance and I couldnt go on it, I enjoyed the tree house and had great fun with beautiful monkeys.
Wow!!! Mind blowing experience 🤗Lekki Conservation Center Lagos is the longest canopy walkway in Africa, oh!! Yes you heard me right. It good for tourism 👌🏿, to gain access to the reserve is a token of N1,000 and to access the canopy walk you have to pay additional N1,000. We didn’t make a reservation before going, we were told to wait for 30-45min before our tour guard came and you aren’t allow to bring food inside the reserve. We only paid for the canopy walk because we came late, the experience was mind blowing and scary at the same time because I haven’t experience it before. There is a family park where you can cool off after the tour and they sell foods(not solid foodand drinks. There are also floor games ranging from Ludo, draft and chess ♟.There are monkeys 🐒 everywhere, there are super smart and will grab anything from your hand, so beware. The pond is filled with beautiful fishes. We were told there are some animals like crocodiles 🐊, snakes 🐍 and lot more, but we only saw some monkeys 🐒 and fishes. The experience was wonderful and mind blowing, we didn’t planned to visit but am happy we did, my sisters loved 🥰 the whole experience, will definitely recommend to anyone because it is a great spot for hangout with families and friends.
Well, this place wasnt bad at all. Theres definitely monkeys everywhere like everywhere. The canopy work is just the only thing here ooo. Its definitely worth it.. trust me. Fee is 1k to enter the canopywalk exclusive of the entry fee..its a nice place no doubt.. theres a guy also at the chess board that helps to snap good pictures too. The place will definitely put a smile on your face..
This place was hyped up way too much. The only animals we saw were a bunch of monkeys and there was 1 tortoise is the very front. The canopy was so scary and high and just wobbly which I know that is the way it was made but still. It was 7 sections which I didnt realize at before heading out on it. Anyway the kids liked the canopy so no wahala. I wouldnt go again though it seems like the center not being kept up some boards were missing on the walkway. One of the picnic areas was flooded and the bush was growing into the walkway in some places. At least I have had my experience there
I had a very nice experience, from being scary to laughing and taking lots of fun pictures. I saw lots of monkeys and embraced natures gift. This is a very nice place to go on a Sunday in Lagos, as the road is free and no traffic.
Totally worth my time. Sad how it was close by where I lived but it took me ages to visit. Will visit again..! I hope they keep it preserve and not tamper with it. Best Canopy walk I have ever done compared to others in different African countries.
It is a nice place to visit with your family .We tried canopy walk which is fun to try , it was tiring for me as i had to carry my 3 year old in my arms entire time as my baby was not ready to walk .If you have small kids then it will be a challenging as they want to walk , overall good place to go but i will not go again as not much animals here except lots of monkeys 🥹🥹
The Lekki Conservation Center is one of the best places I have been in Nigeria. Its a conservative center with many natural features especially vegetation and animals.I spent a few days here for an event and it was fun all the way. The hall was really cozy and the environment was welcoming. There is a large parking area for the many cars that visit. Some of the interesting features were the family park, the canopy walk way which I learnt is the second longest in Africa. It was fun and scary at times and go the adrenaline pumping. The family park has lots to eat and drink and games to play though I think the best part was chilling with the numerous monkeys who arent afraid to share a meal or even pilfer if you presented a good opportunity.I think lovers of nature in Lagos and environs should make efforts to go. I really cant fault this place.
A great place to relax and catch up with nature. It’s decent and the concierge service is commendable as well. Just be careful of the monkeys when using the walkway 😁
The scenery is just lovely. A must visit place for tourists and fun lovers. Ticket sale closes 4.30pm so youd have to come earlier. Pay the extra 1k to climb the canopy bridge, you wont regret it 😉.
I had a wonderful time here. From the entrance I knew I was in for a thrilling experience. The canopy walk was perfect blend of excitement and anxiety for me. Then climbing the tree house was another intriguing adventure. The highlight for me was seeing the life tortoise.
Wonderful place. The canopy walk is not for the feint of heart, tho.But there are giant chessboards, playful (thievinmonkeys and monkey bars to explore and observe
If youre ever in need of a quiet, natural space -- to either be by yourself or chill with colleagues, friends and family then this is the place to go.Ive been here a couple of times, and my most recent visit was last week.As always, I loved the long and leisurely walk through the forest and catching occasional glimpse of the ever-present Mona monkeys.Be careful not to hold edibles while on the boardwalk -- the monkeys can come for it, and snatch it off your hands. While here, you can climb the treehouse, experience the canopy walkway (401kmand rest afterwards in any of a couple of gazebos in the Family Park, perfect for picnics.
It was a beautiful experience, spending time with nature. The crafty monkeys🐒🐒The canopy walk is not for the faint hearted.Overall I enjoyed my visit
You want experience a wild but fun adventure? You should definitely visit LCC! Theres a lot see and enjoy there. From climbing the longest canopy walk in Africa to seeing monkeys jump from one tree to another and lots more.
Well I place this in List of places to go during 2020 Lockdown but didnt later go till now. Indeed this place worth my expectations just that it is poorly maintain now. The height of the bridge crossing, the draft playing ground and chest, the fish pond with new fishes I havent seen before, the tree house.wow I really enjoyed it ☺️☺️..Ah least I forget,The monkeys , tortoise , peacock etc
Lots to do, the canopy walk is a great experience. The tree house has a great view for shots. Monkeys everywhere 😂You’re allowed to bring your own food and drinks but they also sell stuff there
There is no much animals as expected only monkeys who likes stealing if youre not careful with your properties, peacocks, Tortoise, The adventurous part is the canopy walk. After the canopy walk is a freshly made suya. Try taste when you go. Thats the best suya Ive eaten if it hasnt change. Drones are not allowed. Most seats are worn out so when going have it in mind its not a comfort zone.
Relaxing place for spending whole day away from the city hustle. You can have your time here no disturbance. Enjoy Me Time. Thanks to Nigerian Gov for a making a wonderful natures experience.
The place is really nice. You pay before you can go in 2k for Canopy walk and 1k for family walk. There are open spaces where you can have picnics. The also sell stuffs there. For the family part there are games, ponds to look at and spaces to sit. The canopy walk so fun but scary. If you have phobia please don’t try it taking from experience. You have 5 canopy 410 metres long. The tree house is also very nice but you have to climb too etc. Don’t carry stuffs, cause the monkey snatched an item I was carrying. It was really funny especially black items 😂😂😂.
The place was cool. The tour guides were also nice. The really fun part was the canopy walk, quite scary but it’s worth the adventure. Also it’s best to go with friends not alone.
This place is lovely. Nice customer services, nice view. The canopy walk is fun and interesting. If youre scared of heights you cannot enjoy the canopy walk.
Nice place within the city of Lagos but you get a feel that you are far from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Good for a day picnic though they are still recovering some facilities after the pandemic. The canopy walk is still thrilling after having it done few times in the past.
Nice place. Been there over and over. The entrance fee is 1k and has been on that price for years. It has a scary jungle like walk through which is part of the major fun apart from the canopy walk... Not forgetting the almost human monkeys that every where adding to the fun
Great way to spend a day outdoors, take the canopy walk if you are not afraid of heights and see the monkeys, peacocks and turtle. Stay close to the tour guide to take all the info in or enjoy your solo or group walk.
This is nature in its natural state, right on Lagos soil.Good place to breath fresh air.Good place for hangout.Has a canopy walk.Has some animal reserves too like tortoise, monkeysInteresting place tho
It was a pretty fun and seamless experience. I took the canopy walk, I felt the adrenaline and had a lot of fun. Its a great place for a picnic. There are koi fishes in the ponds and life size games to play.
I seriously was so excited and happy to find this place as someone who had been longing to experience even a very tiny bit of Africa in the middle of traffic congested Lagos. This place reminded me of the continent I had come finally.Entrance fee was 2k. There were food stands with suya and more almost at the end of the journey. Waking in the high bridge was so cool and the wet forest was beautiful to get lost in. Highly recommend.(Pictures taken with Samsung Galaxy Flip3)
If you are not prepared for adrenaline surge, please don’t visit. The canopy walk was the highlight for me. There was no time to visit the tree house as I got there late in the afternoon.I was terrified by the monkeys but being in a group bolstered my confidence. It’s always best to visit here with company. That’s where the fun lies.
Thrilling experience on the canopy walk way. Not for the faint hearted though! Watch out for the monkeys, they were all over the place snatching food from visitors
Visited last December for the umpteenth time & the experience was just as it always has been.. Fun!Holidays & weekends are busy days at the center so if you want peace & quietness, you may want to visit during the week. The fees used to be 1000naira( entrance& 1000naira to climb the canopy walkway. This season however, I paid 1,500 entrance Fee & 1,500( canopy walkway feeNot sure if this is the new price or it was just because of the festive season. You can bring your food & drinks into the center but be sure to hold onto them tightly as the monkeys are known to snatch things(especially foodevery now & then. There are 2 tortoises, some monkeys, birds & a peacock (seen all).Inside, there’s a canopy walkway, tree house, a lake & family park.If you’re scared of heights, I’d advise that you steer clear of the canopy walkway.
The canopy walk was scary but very enjoyable. I also enjoyed climbing the tree house. Barely saw any animals aside from the peacocks and the Monkeys…. The Monkeys were peaceful contrary to review I had read. We sharedOur food with them and I enjoyed watching them eat
Kudos to the management. One thing I must commend on is the management/maintenance of the conversation center. Its really a fun center. Thou it takes the brave to enjoy and experience such. It wasnt easy walking on the longest canopy I must say but its fun and cool.
Great experience all round. The kids loved it here. And the canopy walk was great. Was pretty cool being able to explore on our own but i think I might request a tour guide next time we do the nature walk.
I really enjoyed my visit. I loved seeing all the monkeys and the peacock, the monitor lizard, the tortoises and fish.It was fun. I even had a couple of monkeys ambush my party on the boardwalk 😂. Ive put some photos below for your enjoyment. P.S. I especially enjoyed capturing the monkeys.
I enjoyed every bit of the moment I spent here LCC.The canopy walk is what I wont forget in a long while, I enjoyed the beginning and the ending walk but you see the middle part! Oh my, it was the scariest for me... It reminded me of the jumaji movie. If you want to enjoy yourself? Go with friends or family.
The centre is a nice place to visit. You simply cannot miss it. Entry into the waiting area was free but payment for special tags is required to go on the canopy walk or the nature walk. It was #1500 for nature walk and #3000. COVID protocols are not fully enforced. The family park is a great place to have get-togethers with giant board games to have fun with. Basketball and tennis courts are also there. Fish ponds are also there as well. The place needs more maintenance but still a fun place to be.
It was an awesomely scary experience. The height was crazy but adrenaline pumping made it all fun. Met beautiful people and took a lot of pictures. The guides were okay. The place does need a little more maintenance but overall I like how nature was preserved. The monkeys were on rampage stealing our shawarmas and roast plantains and it was funny as hell.
Its a great place for adventure. You can climb up to the tree house and canopy walkway. Its really fun.I loved every bit of it, I climbed the tree house, and I walked on the Canopy walkway. Theres a basketball and volleyball play area in the family park. The monkeys are triggered by food in your hand, so if you want to be chased by them, hold a nylon of food, please dont try this because I saw a lady being chased by monkeys because of the food in her nylon and it wasnt funny at all, she was terrified.Awesome place in general.
Beautiful places and more importantly keeping and preserving nature in its original form. The canopy walkway is the longest in Africa , and there are interesting games in the garden, like chess , Ludo etc (Big ones)You can see the beautiful big tortoise playing around the entrance, and monkeys jumping here and there, it’s a really nice place to be if you love nature. Also ask about the tree house.
It was fun but I wish the tour guide would have followed us...I almost threw up. It was exciting and the walkway is in ascending order and they are about 7.I saw monkeys 🐒and they tried to snatch foods though, a peacock 🦚was walking peacefully in the compound. I also saw a crocodile🐊.It was fun.
