Le Tobsil in Marrakech

Overrated. Price in the European high range whilst being in Marocco where youd expect much cheaper. We payed 65eur/e (4ppfor the menu and a wine bottle. Tajine was basic and couscous with vegetables was not tasty.On the positive side, the interiors were nice.

Great dining experience. A bit difficult to find but the food was great and super nice atmosphere.

Un bon service

While the food is fine, there is way too much of it for a single person. No menu. Therefore no idea house wine included. Only discovered in reviews. I ordered an inexpensive bottle, but would not have done so knowing the facts. I disputed the charge. The owner was huffy. Just said the waiter meant to tell me. No apology. This reflected the general atmosphere of indifferent service. This is really only for tourists not seeking a real local experience. Have been to many restaurants in Marrakech. I hesitated giving three stars.

Cest surtout pour les touristes qui ne connaissent pas la cuisine marocaine.Il y a un menu unique avec trop de plats mais de piètre qualité et les tarifs sont beaucoup trop élevés. Compter environ 600 dirhams par personne.

Ambiance feutrée et élégante, pour une cuisine délicate, chaleureuse, colorée aux saveurs orientales précises et justes. Toutes les références de la gastronomie marocaine autour des mets les plus nobles: tajines, couscous, etc. Dans le respect de la tradition marocaine et de son identité culinaire. L espace est aussi un bel hommage à l architecture orientale sublimée où s affaire une brigade attentionnée et soignée. Sans nul doute la plus belle signature gastronomique à Marrakech.

This is not an easy place to find, just a discrete brass plaque marks the entrance and you must knock to be let in. But once in you cant fail to be enchanted by the lovely ambience. I was prepared for the extensive fixed menu so didnt eat lunch. The cost is 650MAD per person and for that you get:-Your choice of Aperitif with olivesBottle of wine8 meze starters (vegetarian)Chicken tagineLamb tagineCouscous with vegetables2 x desertsTea or coffeeIt is a ridiculous amount of food for 1 person and I couldnt eat it all. Im sure most people would think less food and less cost? But I understand the restaurant is full most evenings so I guess the owner feels they have a winning formula. Service was excellent and there is live music.

Restaurant in het midden van de Médina met een apart concept: je betaalt hier een vaste prijs van 65 euro all-in, vanaf de aperitief tot en met de koffie, en je eet wat de pot schaft. Bij ons was dat eerst een ruim assortiment Marokkaanse salades (middelmatig van smaak, gevolgd door een bio-kip (wat droog maar met een heerlijke saus). Als tweede hoofdgerecht een prachtig stukje lamsschouder met kweeperen en couscous. De twee nagerechten waren niet ons ding, maar dat zal aan onze smaak liggen. Donker interieur verlicht met kaarsen. Er waren hier ook twee muzikanten/zangers/dansers aan het werk die de sfeer nog specialer maakten. Je voelt je hier echt in een andere wereld.

Great Food and cosy atmosphere

Whilst the restaurant is beautiful, they dont tell you its a set menu with a fixed price which is quite expensive. There is no website and theres no way of knowing this. They also dont offer up this information when you book or when you sit down. We had to ask and left after realising we couldnt eat or drink what we wanted. It might be the best place to eat but its not the most cost effective or flexible

Geweldige plek om je te laten verdwalen in Marokko. Heerlijk eten, waanzinnige muziek en een strakke gastvrouw die werkelijk alles in de gaten had. Uitstekend personeel en een eetconcept dat hier nog uitgevonden moet worden. Volledig aan te bevelen. Als er nog plek is tenminste.

Experiencia genial. Para llegar te guían por unas calles que parecen marginales y de repente una de las casas (nada ostentosa por fueraresulta ser el restaurante. En el se percibe una atmósfera única mezcla del exotismo marroquí y el savoir-faire de los restaurantes de lujo franceses. La comida consiste en un menú cerrado y exquisito. Puro lujo y discreción

The food here was amazing and be ready because it doesnt stop coming, its course after course but they are all delicious. Staff are really kind when explaining the dishes and the decoration couldnt be more impressive.

La experiencia fue genial. Es un restaurante de lujo al estilo marroquí, y lo sientes desde que llegas. La puerta está cerrada y hay un peculiar hostess que te invita a entrar.Por dentro es un palacio, con un patio interior y muchas mesas elegantes: dispuestas con luces, flores y muchos motivos dorados.Como fuimos en temporada baja, éramos la única mesa ocupada. Aún así, tuvimos espectáculo de música tradicional. El cantante incluso nos hizo bailar con él 😂La comida no fue especialmente buena, pero la experiencia valió la pena.

L’accueil est sympa, mais on sent l’ambiance d’une institution sombre et vieillissante en manque d’originalité.La cuisine est correcte et sans surprise, menu unique pour tout le monde.Le vin servi et associé au menu unique n’est pas bon.65€ pour un repas imposé avec une musique locale lancinante est surpayé... ! Je suis reparti le ventre plein, mais déçu de ne pas avoir découvert des mets étonnants.

Restaurant zit in een achteraf straatje en is daardoor moeilijk te vinden. Meestal zit er een man aan het begin van de steeg met het naambord van het restaurant om zijn nek. Hij leidt je er naar toe wat wel zo prettig is. Aan de buitenkant zie je alleen een deur in een nauwe steeg en meer ook niet. Maar binnen is het een oase van oosterse rust, geweldig.Ook khet eten is er een ware beleving. Je hebt geen keus, je krijgt voor een vaste prijs een zeer uitgebreid menu met de heerlijkste Marokkaanse gerechten met bijpassende Marokkaanse wijn (is in de prijs inbegrepen). De prijs is volledig passend voor wat zij bieden. Dit restaurant is meer dan aan te bevelen. We hebben er een geweldig avond gehad.

Culinary and musical experience of Morocco, very romantic

The most expensive meal you can probably find in the city. Food good. And way too much of it. They only have tasting menu which includes wine and water, have seen people upgrading their wine to something else than the cheapest option, the option we were not aware of. Overall left happy and stuffed, but found some better places in town to eat, actually our Riad flor dorient had better food (and cheaper)!A guide who takes you through winding alleys is a nice touch, very hard to find without him :)Live Musicians got a bit irritating towards the end.

This is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.The food from the set menu was exquisite, the wine delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful and magical and the staff were attentive and lovely.Every detail, from the charming man who escorts you through the back streets to get to the restaurant, to the wonderful singing and dancing musical duo, made this an incredibly special evening which I cannot wait to repeat.

Nice place for a romantic dinner. They offer a set menu including starters (sweet tomato, olives, tomato salad, carrots, zucchini, etc), organic chicken tagine, lamb tagine and desserts with mint tea. And also a bottle of wine is included in the price, which is around 50€ per person.

This is a very nice place for a multi course meal with entertainment. The entertainment was sounded very repetitive. The first course with many small plates of food was very good. It was followed by a tagine and a desert. It was a set price menu that included a bottle of wine. Expect to spend at least a couple of hours or more here. Food was nice prepared and presented.

Quite good Moroccan food, but it felt a bit overpriced (even with house wine included).Fixed menu of classic appetizers and a couple tagines with a dessert or two. Nice, caring staff. They had live traditional music and a dancer guy when we went there, but it seemed like they knew only one song.Overall, a resounding "meh."
