Le Tarbouche - Moroccan restaurant in Fes, Morocco
Le Tarbouche in Fes
Description
Privilege
It’s a tourist trap. The crispy beef was flavourless but at least the mint lemonade and the Cajun fries were good. If you order the fries make sure to ask for a side of harissa to go with them
MoreThoroughly enjoyed this restaurant would 100% go back here again with our lovely Australian friends. The drinks for me personally were the highlight - I had the fruit de saison lemonade and that was amazing! Best drink I had in the whole of Morocco! The food was superb and so was the service!Make sure you book as this restaurant gets pretty full!
MoreA must in Fes. Everything was delicious. Homemade nachos which tasted amazing. We highly recommend the lemonades and the lemon cake. INCREDIBLE.The dishes are big, we could have ordered just one salad and the nachos.
MoreI do recommand , we were happy with this experience , tasty food!!
This is an amazing place and only deserve five stars. We went here for lunch first on the day we arrived to Fes and loved it. Jalapeño bombers , chimichanga, chicken pizza as well as the lemonade are all so good. For dinner we decided to try a different place and it was actually quite disappointing. We left that meal in the middle (ofcourse after payingand ran back to this place before it closes to fill our bellies and it was again very delicious.Highly recommend if you are in fes medina.
MoreGreat atmosphere. The food is excellent. We loved the Moroccan Tabuleh, the hot Moroccan salad and the cheese cake. The lemonade with hibiscus and with rosemary were delicious as well. Highly recommended. Make reservations if you can.
MoreNice staff. But don’t expect here to find a lot of traditional Moroccan food. It’s a restaurants mostly for tourists. It is really well located as well, on the Main Street.
MoreThis place has THE MOST DELICIOUS Rosemary Lemonade Ive ever had. Great food, great value for your money. 10/10 would recommend for some casual dining.
MoreGreat little place. Inside is air-conditioned and there is wifi. We had a small lunch in the form of two starters and some drinks. The tabbouleh is amazing, as are the nachos. Staff were all women and very friendly!
MoreThis is the best cafe I’ve tried in Morocco. Period.I found this while looking for dinner after getting scammed by my guide for a 150dh per person lunch. Determined to find something good to eat, this cafe stands out on google maps because of its high ratings. And trust me, it’s good!!Try the chicken and tagine. For an affordable price of 50dh each, you can enjoy a delicious meal. The place is tiny, with only five tables indoors, but they are comfortable, and the space is air-conditioned.Try this little oasis in the hot and chaotic fes medina!
MoreExceptional food, great value and Berber tea that will be longed for when we get home.
MoreWe were a family of 5 adults and 3 children. We had dinner for the first time here tonight while we are in Fez (Marocco, in August 2022).We arrived around 8:30 pm and no table available for us. We waited for 20 minutes.I couldnt understand how can so many people want to visit the restaurant. For me, nothing is special. It is my honest opinion. Our experience was just ok, not to repeat.Pros:1. The location is easy to find in Fez by Google Maps. You can follow your Google Maps.2. They have great modern decorations.3. They have friendly and kind workers.4. The price of food is fair, and the portion is okay. We spent 635 dirham for 8 people. The garlic chicken is tasty. The fresh Moroccan salad is good. The Nacos is okay. Pastilla and Vegetable pastilla are okay.5. They accept payment in cash.6. The restaurant is cozy and clean.7. Wearing a mask is not mandatory anymore.8. Free wifi accessible inside the restaurant.9. They have indoor and outdoor seating.10. Entrance accessible for wheelchair.Cons:1. No toilet.2. The wifi is slow and somehow was difficult to connect.3. I didnt like my food Kefta tagine. The sauce was strange. I tasted the kid pizza, the taste was not good. The Jalapeño poppers had too strong taste. The bread of Kefta was not good. The lemonade Rosemary had too much sugar.4. The restaurant has a very small space. It is difficult to move.
MoreWe ordered Tajin and it was really delicious. The restaurant is small but sweet and clean. All personnel was polite, friendly and helpful.
Morenice service and good foodwe were in Fes 4 days and eat only in this place because we were warning about the quality of food, so definitely we’re recommending this place
MoreThe food was crazy good, tipical dishes served in a modern way!!! The girl who took care of our orders was the most beautiful i have seen during my vacation and also the chefs were nice. I higly suggest this place especially for turists.
MoreDelicious food and great service. Would definitely come back.
Came here for some drinks and snacks was definitely delicious! The caramel coffee drinks was amazing and the lemonade as well. Tried the jalapeño poppers, which were not really what they are supposed to be therefore the 4 stars.Regardless they have great prices and you should pass by when walking around
MoreIt was a really hot afternoon, so coming into this place was a relief, as its air conditioned! Had a really tasty tabbouleh and their lemonade with rosemary is incredible and so refreshing.
MoreNice air conditioned environment. Ordered nachos, wedges, chimichanga and coffee caramel milkshake. Good place to hang out.Food was nice. Prompt service.
MoreThis place was amazing, we only ate here while we were in Fes. With WIFI, and amazing food for incredible prices. A needed escape from the streets of Fes. Also made a bunch of friends here! Thanks La Tarbouche!
MoreRelatively affordable compared to the other cafes. Came here twice because it was that good!
MoreUtterly delicious. I had the Chimichanga which was like a burrito with a deep fried crispy outside served with two delicious dips. Prices really good too. Dont miss this place
MoreLe Tarbouche is a cozy small restaurant with high quality food made of very fresh ingredients. The menu has many options for vegetarians, I went back several times and tried the couscous tabbouleh salad, the vegetarian pizza, vegetable tangine and lemon tart. The prices are also fair. I really recommend!
MoreThe best place where we have eaten during the day in FES. Staff was friendly and approachable. The food was delicious and in the end they did not do any pressing. The price was good and was the first time in that day I didnt felt like being shaken by my tourist money.
MoreReally good restaurant, the place itself is a very modern and has a hip atmosphere. the food is of high quality and the service was great. We ordered the Tajine with meat balls which was delicious. Can also recommend trying out the smoothies & milkshakes!Came back a second time and ordered some of their fried dishes! All very delicious!
MoreReally cozy place in the middle of the Medina with tasty food and lemonades. We had the vegetable tagine and it was really delicious and hot. The mint lemonade was really tasty! The service team was kind and helpful with questions about the food.I will definitely come back 😊
MoreThis place was a pleasant surprise! The food is tasty and it comes a good portion. The best cost benefit so far for restaurants in Fez, really reasonable for what you get and way cheaper than several other top rated places. The only downside is the place’s size, which is very small. My husband and I enjoyed everything we tried.
MoreGreat place, tasty food and cheap prices. Absolutely recommended.
Amazing food. An interesting mix of South American (The jalapeño poppers and the Chimichanga were amazingand Moroccan food (we had the Tabouleh salad, which was very good). The lemon tart desert was divine. The cooks are amazing. Super friendly staff, nice ambience inside and out, very relaxing.
MoreReally nice fusion of Mexican and Moroccan food. Fast and nice service. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices (for tourists!)
MoreThe food was good and fresh. It is a small hidden gem within the medina
This Mexican/Moroccan small restaurant offers an interesting menu of both cuisines. We had a little of both when we visited. The kefta tagine was delicious. So was the chimichanga and appetizers. Friendly staff. Relatively cheap compared to other places, especially the quality of the food. Highly recommend.
MoreExcellent roasted chicken and tabouleh salad. The pastilla was topped with too much sugar and could do with less, but was overall tasty! Would also recommend the avocado shake!
MoreMost delicious food in Fes! Very home like feeling, kind people. Highly recommend! The chimichanga is incredible and the Moroccan salad was delicious, better than any I have tried in all of Morocco.
MoreNice small Moroccan restaurant, with a odd combination of Mexican food and even a merguez pizza. The starters, we had nachos and roasted potato slices are really good. The merguez pizza is really salty, but the pastilla (their specialtyis recommended. This place was recommended by our riad host, and it did not disappoint.
MoreSmall place directly at one of the main walking streets. The Moroccan Sweets are delicious. Cheap prices as well. Also try the iced tea!
MoreWe liked the food here so much that we returned to try as many of their dishes as we could. The grilled garlic chicken is packed with flavour with a crispy paper thin skin! Vegetable pastilla was of the savoury type and a nice change of pace from more traditionally meaty Moroccan dishes.Staff was always really nice and accommodating even when it gets really packed during meal time.
MoreA good change of taste with fusion dishes. Try the cooked salad and the chimichanga. The crispy beef should be good since its sold out by 4.30pm. The cafe is quiet and clean.
MoreDelicious food tasty drinks all at a very reasonable price. We had a selection of foods and everything was absolutely wonderful! Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Morocco. Worth the wait if there isn’t a table ready.Highly recommend!
MoreOnly had one dish so I can’t say too much, but it was tasty and the service though slow, was fine. Always restaurants in Morocco seem slow because food is cooked from scratch. The potatoes could have been cooked a little more for my taste but the chicken was lovely
MoreGreat place. Not only moroccan food. Tried the grilled garlic chicken and pastilla was really good. The crispy beef was ok. The curry burger was good as well.
MoreOne of the few hip restaurants in the Medina. Aside from the typical Moroccan dishes, they have their own creations, like rosemary lemonade and merguez pizza.
MoreExcellent food (traditional and fusion kitchen). The pizza merguez looks and tastes great. The Sardines Tajine is also very tasty! Very small reataurant, you may wait a little but its worth it. I tried the apple cooler - sweet and a little sour, its worth a try.
MoreReally yummy pastila. You can sit outside and people watch. Its great. I didnt much care for the Rosemary lemonade but everything else was great. The menu was reasonably priced. Make note that they do dont accept credit cards.
MoreBeautiful little cafe/restaurant in the heart of the Médina with a modern flair but still serving traditional delights both sweet and savoury. Friendly staff and there are even small trinkets for sale in this shop. The dessert is really something is - I kept going back whilst in Fes
MoreDefinitely good and cheap food over here.Menu offers various meals such as burritos, pastilles and traditional tapas.Although it was quite a long wait before the food came, even though we were alone, it was worth the wait. The vegetarian pastille was stuffed with a lot of vegetables and delicious Moroccan cheese and was very good and filling.Traditional Moroccan tapas was amazing to put on the tasty bread that goes along with it. Berber tea with traditional herbs was good!Staff not very good at customer relation though, barely looking at you or communicating.. But the food made up for it luckily! For all this, we only paid 90 Dirhams (9 eurosand it was food filling!
MoreAbsolutely delicious food and very friendly staff but a little chaotic (including long wait times). On peak time expect that other people are already waiting to get a place. Nevertheless: If it looks full dont be afraid to ask for a table - they may still find a place for you :)Tip: I have seen people getting take away boxes...
MoreLoved this place! Gets quite crowded and one has to wait, their food is very good. Its Moroccan and a bit of Fusion food! The chicken Bstilla was a bit too sweet for my liking nevertheless very tasty. The Veg Bstilla however really good. Crispy beef tasty and spicy. Cooked salad, Tabouleh great too.!
MoreVery delicious food with vegan options. The menu is quite short but we liked the fancy drinks :The prices are absolutely affordable! The service was very nice and helpful. We can definitely recommend it :)
MorePerfect place for snack in the middle of Medina. You can enjoy life in Fez by watching people passing by and enjoying great food in meanwhile. Prices are good too.
