A very cool space in the heart of a cool district in Bologna, but hand-on-heart, the place is hugely overpriced for what it is. There are better options elsewhere in the city, where the quality of the food and drink is better, and your money will go further. Still worth popping your head in for a drink though!

Amazing location for an evening drink. The interior is impressive as it’s located in an old chapel, which makes the whole experience really unique. Besides drinks they also serve food, but we decided on the cheese platter- which wasn’t very big for 3 people, maybe it’s better for two people - depending on how full you want to feel 😊The wine was tasty, as well as beer. The staff was kind and the service was quite quick.Definitely an interesting place on the map of Bologna.

An incredibly beautiful building with great wine and service. We called here for a wine this week and it was just beautiful. The architecture is stunning and something you should visit for alone. Good value wine around €5-8 a glass and some free nibbles.

Cannot comprehend the reviews saying that this place is hostile to foreigners - service was really welcoming and it was a nice unique place for an afternoon aperitivo

BEWARE PEOPLE!!! it appears to be a nice place, historic, kinda chic… the service is TERRIBLE!! If you are not from bologna you will be located at the end of the place with barely someone helping you, they will ignore you through the dinner. Prices are ok and food is not amazing so don’t bother to eat here… the women bathroom were out of toilet paper and water. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Do not come if you are not a local!!! We were seated at the end when we made reservations and there was no other tables occupied… the waitress was very rude all the time. We were hurried to eat and when we asked for he check for the second time she rudely told us to pay in the front… I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

Stylish bar with decent cocktails and the chatcuterie boards werent too bad either.

Very beautiful bar where a Catholic church used to be. Reasonable prices and polite, helpful personnel. A necessary stop!

In our time in Bologna we visited a lot of bars, but this one was special. The place is an old church that has kept its character in a special way. The decoration was amazing and very atmospheric. Waiter was very helpful and attentive any time we called him. Drinks were really nice. Looking forward for our next time

Beautiful place with a small, but decent wine offer. Wonderful atmosphere: the perfect place for a romantic date or a good conversation.

I really liked this bar! The atmosphere is great and the Lambrusco wine was very tasty. They served us a rather big portion of snacks.

Very nice service, prices are fine. Cheese platter war very delicious. The menu doesn’t have a lot of options though. The interior of the bar gives you a very special atmosphere.

Undoubtedly the best, smartest cocktail bar in Bologna. Great soundtrack, excellent cocktails which are not crazy expensive, and all set in a 16th century chapel. Wonderful.

I dont wanna be cranky... but the waiter was the worst. the staff didnt want to let us in on the grounds that they were closed although it was well before their closing time

amazing place, you have a lot of choice all the cocktails are great and tasty. prices are fair, staff are friendly and warm welcome. also you can enjoy delicious snacks with your drinks. by the way you can seat inside and enjoy beautiful atmosphere.

We didn’t order food here, we used their beautiful bar area for drinks. And this must be the most beautiful place in Bologna. And it helped that they knew how to make martinis. ☝️

Excellent decor, good service, drinks are fine, prices are pretty high. Come for an aperitif before you go and have dinner elsewhere 🙂

The main thing is the decor which is beautiful. Drinks were good, although pricey for the area. Also no snacks were provided with the drinks, which is quite unusual in Italy. The big problem however was that there was no air conditioning or fans, so it was absolutely boiling. This was the only proper bar where we experienced this and as it is more expensive I dont know how they justify it.

Probably the best lasagna Ive ever tasted. Had to go back the next day. Very friendly staff.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We went here from a recommendation and looking at the interior, we very impressed! Unfortunately, when you simply query what house spirit is used in a cocktail you are met with a blank faced waitress who asks the bartender. The bartender then comes over to have a go and yell at you for asking. Would not recommended for a drink. Maybe to go in and take a picture and not pay for a thing..

One of the nicest bars in Bologna! The ceiling and the walls look great with all the ornaments! The staff are friendly and speak good English. Drinks are good and average €8 for cocktails. It’s in the historical center of Bologna and it’s really close to the university.

Great place for the aperitivo. Early in the evening is best time to arrive for the buffet. The food is quite nice with lots of plates being brought out. After an aperitivo here you may not need to eat out. Drinks are little bit expensive but when you count the food. Its a bargain.

I really like this place, the atmosphere and service. I asked if I could try a drink and, in case I didnt like it, change it and they agreed with no problems. But why four stars and not five? The apertivos buffet is not one of the bests.. it is not about the amount of food, which I dont really care about, but about the ingredients.Anyway I would suggest this place!

Good spot for a quick drink. Worth a visit to see the decorations. Drinks are slightly more expensive then in other similar bars. Friendly service and comfortable seating. When we were there it had only tourists inside but it was a nice quick stop for cocktails.

As a bar this place is good. It has a good atmosphere and the frescoes are great to look at. However as a restaurant it was terrible. The service was below par from the waiting staff and the food took more than an hour to arrive. Go for the bar but not for the restaurant

definitely a very beautiful place to drink your cocktail at night. it is very crowded and its the first place Ive ever been that it has cultural structures inside of a night club. it provides Very beautiful and different experience. Τotally recommended

This bar is very charming and elegant! There are two rooms, one of which is decorated according to a contemporary taste, whilst the second one is covered with ancient frescoes and used to be the personal chapel of the family that owned the palace. Some colleagues of mine in I stayed in the latter one and we enjoyed our time very much!Definitely an upper class bar!

This is a gorgeous bar!!! In a converted private chapel of an ancient noble family of Bologna. The staff are very helpful, we had a disabled person in a wheelchair in our group and they helped with the steps of the access. The snacks with the drinks were also very welcome after a whole day of meetings.

Great location in an old Chapel with a hip vibe but not the cheapest and evening buffet was just OK.

Nice ambiance and great apero. Shame they dont have seats along the bar in the main room... They moved some there for us which was great, but they really arent maximising the space. If you dont get a seat in the main area its not worth coming here as the ambience looked very different in the side rooms.

The prices are definitely not on the low side but the atmosphere and the cocktails are quite nice. It’s a good place to sit down for one drink as an experience but not a place where you can sit for hours and drink (unless you are loaded with money). The staff were friendly and smiled a lot. The toilets are pretty smelly and gross. For the amount you pay for service and drinks, the facilities should be definitely cleaner. All in all, recommended for 1-2 drinks.

Nice bar with good cocktails and music located at the center of Bologna!

Lovely atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and happy to give recommendations. The building was lovely too, with high ceilings, different levels and multiple rooms. The food was ok... Not bad at all, but Im not convinced it was all completely fresh. Husbands aubergine (eggplantparmigiana was served in a foil takeaway container! Thats the only downside really.

Absolutely loved the food here - been in Bologna a week and may be the best so far. Number of dining rooms, high ceilings but not cold, art on wallsFriendly and efficient staff. Plenty of space for groups.

It is a great location but they ruined it IMHO. The acoustic blows because well, its an old church. If you add music and lots of people talking you end up with annoying, chaotic noise. For the food its also not worth it. But like I said, its a great location. I just wished they had done more than simple put things down.

Very nice place: the interior looks like an old greek temple and the aperitivo was really tasty and at a reasonable price. I suggest getting there early (6pmas the place gets full quickly.

Pretty expensive for drinks. The price youre paying is for the ambiance, not the quality of the drink. The ambiance is nice, but if that isnt so important for you, probably another choice would be better. They do have a good aperitivo selection (free food buffet with drink purchase).

You should visit this place just because it is so amazingly beautiful! Stunning!They have wines for 6€ and wine+aperetivo open buffet for 7€ after 7 PM.Great place to start your night. And if you are a tourist this is a must visit.
