Le Socrate - Restaurant Nice in Nice

The best libanaise restaurant I have ever been. Big portions, very taste food. Libanaise lemonade is great. Highly recommended.

Wonderful cuisine, good customer service. If you enjoy Lebanese food, I would definitely recommend visiting Le Socrate.

Location is nice and central, serving was a bit slow, good mediocre (BBQ was not top notchcould be much better. The staff were doing their best. But took us 1 hour for main course to be served.

Good food, nice staff

Shout out a loud for Socrate’s falafels. The outside was extremely crispy and crunchy. Inside was warm and moisture. Although deep fried, but tasted much lighter than almost all the falafels I have had so far. The grounded chickpeas were perfectly spiced with great aroma. The Moussaka came with some chickpeas, less cheesy, meaty and starchy than the ones I had before, but was equally delicious. I also enjoyed the fattoush, which was always a classic and refreshing appetizer in middle eastern cuisine. Socrate’s service was also the top notch!

This was probably the best libanese food ive ever had. We ordered the socrate menu. All of the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was so tasty and i felt so comfortable here. Experiences like this just make me so happy. Thanks for a great evening.

First time in a Lebonese Restaurant the Fairouz menu was excellent, to much to eat , great food and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit .The staff were friendly and helpful .

Le Socrate has very tasty food and good portions, so you will not leave hungry. The waiter was also very friendly. I would highly recommend to visit le Socrate if you are in Nice and crave some libanese food

Best Middle Eastern meal I’ve ever had. Food was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken shawarma! And those falafels… amazing! Lebanese beer was good but v expensive at €6 for a small bottle of beer.

Asked for Vegan and they changed the vegetarian plate to accommodate. Then we also got a amazing salad that included pomegranate and spicy walnut dip. Outstanding food and fantastic service.

Very good Lebanese food. Friendly service. Open pretty late and reasonably priced for this town. Loved the babaganoush and the garlic sauce that came with the chicken shawarma. Our waiter, Aioub, was great!

Im from Ottawa the shawarma capital of the world, but I dont know if Ill ever be able to go back because this was hands down the best mixed platter Ive ever tasted. Fresh ingredients, and well cooked, this is the real Mediterranean deal

I rarely write reviews, but this is worth it.Le Socrate is one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in Nice. In the 2 weeks I’ve been here I’ve already been twice and plan to go back more.The food is amazing. Their falafel is the best falafel I’ve ever had in my life and their garlic sauce is fantastic. The small plates make it easy to share food with others and, with pita, make your own sandwiches with a mix of the items.The service is top notch. Paul, our server both times, is incredibly attentive, gives good recommendations, and is super funny and friendly.If you like Lebanese / Mediterranean food you have to go.

Great food, but one of the attendant was pushing us to buy more food and complained that we are 3 people on a table for 4... very pushy.

This was pretty much my favourite meal when in Nice. Staff were really friendly and attentive, selection of dishes was great, food came out quickly and was delicious. The perfect homey meal I needed to fuel sight seeing!

It was quiet and the dry summer wind ran along the channel between the cathedral and the terrace.After a quick glance at the menu, we settled I. For chicken shawarma (wifeand kebe (me); Lebanese beer and (latermint tea. All were wonderful. The staff speaks French and English.The plates arrived with beautiful presentation and the food was great. The tea was **exceptional**.By the time we left, every table was full. Those in the area are clearly in the know. Now you are too!

What a bad experience!!! Me and my friend went to Socrates on Thursday at nightWe entered after seeing in board special prices outside .I was disappointed by the service,service needs a lot of improvement a lots 👎

We, a group of 10, without a booking and the staff were extremely accommodating. This, coupled with delicious fresh tasty food for vegetarians, resulted in a lovely meal! I would deffo recommend.

An excellent meal but I gotta call out the garlic sauce it was spectacular w the lamb!!

We were 4 people, 2 of us wanted to eat a menu that was quite expensive and big for one meal person, and the other 2 wanted to drink and taste as well from the menu of the other two. At first that took our order and then they refused to gave us the food saying that we all have to buy a menu each, and we cannot share the foods on or taste the food from each other

My first experience was good although the service was mediocre. I went there fewer times later but I realised that the quality of food and the amount in every single dish is getting worse and worse.The staff is rude and not welcoming. We had to wait too long for our desert. We ended up leaving without it cuz we couldn’t wait.The prices are high for such a quality.Tonight I had my last dinner at Socrate place.

We entered after seeing very attractive board outside for special prices. Then, when we sit and requested they told me only until 12:00 pm!!!!. We left without taking any meal after seeing the overprice menu and missing guiding people with their offer outside board.

Me and my wife went there. She wanted a main dish and I wanted a drink. After sitting and ordering, the waitress came and told us to order two main dishes or we can’t stay.We left immediately.I do not recommend honestly this place. With such policy, I have suspicions about their mentality when it comes to food quality and cleanliness.

This place was ok. Almost all the food was pretty oily. The plate I ordered was supposed to have a kind of cheese item on it, but they didnt include that. Some of the items were decent, but given the number of stars this place had, I was disappointed.

Really overpriced for a Shawarma plate! You have better options in the city for the same price. The service was ok, the food was not well seasoned, but luckily the garlic sauce helped to cover any lack of taste.

Extremely good food. We ordered 6 mezzes and each one of them was lovely. Authentic Lebanese dishes that tasted lovely. Friendly staff, nice and attentive (also in English).

We went to this restaurant as it was open till late. After reading a few reviews in Google we were slightly concerned as many people said that the waiters are rude there. Upon arriving at the place we were greeted ever so kindly by Mr. Aeoub. He was such a nice guy and he took exceptional care of us. He made our last meal in Nice an epic one. We ordered the lamb platter and the butchers platter. The food was excellent. It was a nice change to eat lebanese after a long time.I definitely recommend this place and if you go there ask for Mr. Aeoub, he will make your entire experience an epic one.

The food is great as per middle eastern standards and taste ... the place is in a nice area..waiters are friendly and welcoming. HOWEVER, they should know that arabs and muslims come to this place for the halal meat/chicken and not be sarcastic about it.We would go there again. The food is really really good. We loved it.

"Socrate" menu was a great way to sample many tasty dishes! Good mint tea.

To be honest the service is top the staff was so kind with us the food is good i loooved the cheese sambosac was so delicious my favorite 👌🏻totally recommend it
