Excellent food at a fair price! What a gem!
Good and affordable breakfast untill 12:00
Fantastic restaurant : good menu, exceptional service and super terrace.Probably one of my best visited restaurant in Chile !Ive gone ...3 times
We have travelled the world and very rarely are we lucky enough to stumble on a restaraunt like La Concepción at 5 stars. With this in mind, Michelin Needs to take a peak at this amazing restaurant!!The staff are incredible, service is fabulous and attentive to our very need. They offered us blanket if we were cold. The restaurant has a fabulous patio with a spectacular view.La Co caption It is an oasis to relax after street graffiti tour in Valparaiso. In addition to the great service, the food is also really good. They offer fresh homemade bread and savories.Perfect attention to the details in the plates and desserts makes us recommend this place as 5 star for your dinner or lunch. Can’t miss!!!
Good taste and lovely workers. Very fresh ceviche, fish and crab ravioli. Must go to second floor for the fabulous view.
Great location, with a professional staff and excellent food.
Since my last visit things have really taken a turn for the better. The service is wonderful and the food is delicious. Will definitely go back.
Excellent location, service and food. Totally recommended. To start the restaurant have an amazing view of Valparaiso, in one of its most iconic areas, and well maintained cerro Concepcion. Service is great, waiters with complete knowledge of menu, wine pairing options and suggestions. The classic aperitif Pisco sour, was great for chilean taste, but as always a bit strong and sweet for international costumers, but of course always the first choice. We have two pasta dishes, one filled out with king crab and a vegetarian one, both amazing, with excellent wine-pairing selection. The desserts need its own paragraph. They are absolutely amazing, great design, presentation and taste. We tried 3 of them, and all were outstanding. Excellent work.
Beautiful view, delicious seafood, and good service. The best meal I had in Valparaiso
Excellent place for lunch or dinner.Probable the best food in Valparaíso.
Excellent service and food. Nice balcony with seating. The fish is very good
Because of my arrival time my hotel recommended this was a good place to get an evening meal at 4pm.So many places in Valparaiso have split shifts and odd opening hours. The staff are excellent and very welcoming.I did not enjoy the view. The restaurants own terrace garden is much more attractive than looking over a working port, derelict buildings and on my visit there was a battleship!Graffiti is not a work of art.I had the scallops. I could not tell if they were fresh or not because they were so heavily baked in a cheese sauce. If you have an abundance of fresh seafood right next to you why would you ignore it?
Lovely restaurant with stunning views. Good selection of food and wines. A definite visit if youre looking for something a little formal in Valparaiso.
Mostly enjoyable al fresco experience. We were 2 for dinner on a weeknight so the first challenge is finding a restaurant open past 5 pm. La Concepcion delivered! We started with a shared Mediterranean salad (plentythen I had the crab ravioli in a wonderful, parmesan infused sauce. My wife had the salmon on quinoa risotto. Both excellent. We shared a chocolate volcano. With wine and tip about 60 000 pesos. Attentive service. Construction noise nearby was distracting. Recommended.
The views of this place are amazing, we can see the ocean and the city from the top. Worth the experience. Service was great also, very thoughtful waiters. As for the food, we asked only for an appetizer and 2 pisco sours. The mix of food in the dish (the salmon strips onewas a bit unusual, but the salmon was awesome.
While enjoying a great view over the bay you can choose from a wide selection of (localwines, with the help of a sommelier. We had a excellent bottle of Toro De Piedra. The dinner -hake and tuna- was magnificent. Large portions, perfect quality and a tasty combinations.
Awesome place for lunch or dinner! Not only is the town very pretty but this restaurant is charming with good food and views. This place fills up quickly but I think they take reservations. I got lucky when I just squeezed in after walking around the town. I got crab pasta with a good pisco sour. Staff was friendly as well. Didnt know this place was such a popular place until I stumbled upon it. Highly recommend!
Perfect Service and Food at a reasonable price
Our experience was to eat proper seafood was good, we recommend the Duo Ceviche or the local clams to start, then the crab raviolis are a sure bet, the salmon over risotto was very tasty. The kids had a the chicken finger.
I will rate La Concepción an Michelin Bib! The staff was very nice kind. They offered us blanket if we were cold. The restaurant has a nice patio with a view. It is an nice little oasis to relax after street graffiti tour in Valparaiso. In addition to the great service, the food is also really good. They offer fresh homemade bread! Little attention to the details in the plates and desserts that makes me recommend this place for your lunch.
Very nice restaurant sitting on the edge of the hill overseeing the bay. Excellent service and food. Great environment. I definately recommend this place for either an informal meal with friends or for a formal dinner. I had a red curry shrimp dish which was excellent. The staff warned me that it was spicy, but it was only lightly spicy. This is a "must try" if youre in the area looking at the graffiti. I will be going back.
Amazing food in Valparaiso with a fantastic view. Our server Patricio was fluent in English and made our evening great. I had the Ecuadorian Shrimp curry which was 5 star.
Fantastic food, friendly staff. Awesome view.
Absolutely magnificent - the food incredible, the view poetic, and the service attentive. All of this for a very affordable price. We went for a late lunch (around 4 pmso did not need a reservation but I assume you would need one otherwise.
Loved it. Great view. But the food was FANTASTIC. We two had the salmon with risotto and the costillar, pavlova dessert, bottled waters, and the mango dessert. All fantastic. The cost with tip was 38,900 pesos.
We loved the food here. Must make reservations to here. Has good options for vegetarians. BUT, be careful with your wallets and bags. We lost a bag in a matter of minutes -- during a busy time in the restaurant.
Amazing view of the bay from their back patio! Food and service are great. We had the hake (local fishand ceviche. Both were superb! Great selection of Chilean wines. When the temperature dropped around dusk, the staff came around with blankets for the patrons. No trip to Valparaíso is complete without a meal here!
Risotto and salmon were overcooked and risotto was tasteless. The pasta (ravioli de carnewas very basic; far for what you would expect for the price. It used to be much better. Hope they can improve soon and don’t rely only on their good location and nice view.
Amazing view, lovely ceviche, terrible pisco sour. Tasted like a drink made by a college student who wanted something strong. Aside from that, the atmosphere was very nice.
Best restaurant we visited on our three week trip. All the foods were finely crafted to perfection and every detail was attended to. View is amazing and the service was equally good. Nothing to complain here.
Delicious food, great view, and the service was perfect!
Very cozy place, friendly staff and amazing food! A great gastronomic experience in Chile! And I recommend sitting by the windows to enjoy the meal while admiring the sunset.
Unreal food experience.Do not miss this place when in Valparaiso. One of the best meals we have had anywhere in the world. We spent nearly three hours here and it was worth every minute. Karen, our waitress, was a gem.
This restaurant deserves a Michelin star. The quality and the flavours of the food are outstanding. Thr bread was the best I’ve had in the world. The crab ravioli was exquisite. The presentation and services are excellent, combined with a beautiful ambience and stunning view looking to the Pacific Sea.One of the best restaurant experiences of my life. If only this restaurant was not so far away from Australia! Thank you for such a memorable experience.
Really nice restaurant with both enclosed and open terraces overlooking the city and sea. Very good food at, for a European, very good prices. Particularly excellent seafood. Friendly staff too. Highly recommended.
The food is lovely - the view is great - the waiters are amazing. The food is very reasonably priced, I think, although more expensive than the average for Valpo - but the view, food and service justify it. For visitors: the main courses cost about $14000 chilean.
Too bad ratings only go up to 5 stars. You MUST visit this place if you are in Valpo. The food, service, and view is absolutely incredible. Its pricier than most local places, but absolutely worth it. Also perfect for special occasions. Cant recommend enough!
Really spectacular food and service. We loved the Chilean pisco sours, probably the best machas parmesana ever, combined with two main dishes that were also memorable. Apart from the beautiful and scenic patio, Gino’s service and attention really makes this restaurant 5 stars.
Good food, friendly service (food is unveiled with a flourish from under a clocheand a spectacular view. They give blankets if you need them to sit outside to counter the chill Valpo air as the sun goes down behind you lightning up the buildings on the coast opposite so they twinkle like a hundred lighthouses.
The best service weve ever experienced at a restaurant. Not exaggerating. Really great food too!
Excellent food. Great view!!!!
Great location with good view, delicious food and good service.
This was the first place I stumbled upon my first night in Valpo. The view was great (I was there for sunset), although later on I discovered several restaurants with better views. We had a couple rounds of pisco sours and a delicious clam and parmesan appetizer. It was a little on the expensive side, but its also a high end restaurant so I cant really complain.
spectacular! everything about this place is good. the look, the service, the view, the little details and specially the food. waiters are very friendly, professional and they know the food they serve so I recommend you to ask for their suggestions.
Amazing views and delicious food. The Austral Hake was amazing.
Great place for lunch in Valparaíso (Cerro Concepción)! Great food, service and view!! We had crab ravioli and tuna...very fresh and tasty!
The atmosphere and the food are great, although La Concepción certainly isnt a cheap option. However, make sure to get a reservation for one of the tables at the edge of the balcony to enjoy the beautiful view of the seaside, since they are rather popular.
Lovely restaurant in Valpo. The food was relatively good, but be careful with Ceviche as one of the members in our party got sick from it. I would recommend the burger (not exactly an authentic Chilean experiencebut the view was amazing and theres an open air seating on the second floor. They also had live music and a bar. This is a great location for larger groups as well since theres plenty of space.
Great food, excellent wine selection, and super service. Staff spoke very good English if youre a tourist like us. Highly recommend. The decor was great and the views of Valpo were amazing.
The only reason for the missing star was the unfriendly service. Two girls in particular were rude, running around like they are having the worst day of her lives and trying to make you feel guilty for it.Now...the food and the view.... Excellent!
