Le Petit Four Patisserie - Cafe in Butterworth, Malaysia
we can found a really delicious croissant here! 👍🏻 recommended place to have a snack and comfy place to chit chat 🔥
Being really impressed with this bakery would be an understatement. The level of execution in each pastry was a wonderful balance of passion and technical expertise. The spirit of excellence was evident in every aspect of the shop, their selections of viennoiserie and petit gateaux were world class. I will absolutely return next time I’m in Penang.
Its a bit hard to get a parking here. However its all worth when we got a spot n try the pastries at this place. The crossaint so fantastic, tastes so buttery. Weve tried few places but this place is the best by far. Worth every penny spent. If youre in Penang n a patisserie lover, you can opt to try this place!
Good croissant.Good matcha latte.I love hazelnut escargot.
Penang cousin brought me to this beautiful Cafe. Live the coffee and Pastries. A must visit place when you go Penang
Very nice pastry and coffee cafe in Penang. Lovely decor and ambiance.Soy cappucino good, Long Black good.Croissant ok, Raspberry/Pistachio escargot good.Fresh orange juice fresh and tasty.Reasonable prices. Why not 5 stars? It was really busy and the process with the queue waiting for a table was chaotic. But definitely recommended for pastries and coffee👌
Fully house during weekend, waited 10mins to get seated and enjoy the pastries. Many choices of cakes that might have dilemma in choosing because wish to try more than 1.
Dessert is fine but I feel it is over priced, coffee not so good
Bright cafe with natural light & white painting. Cinnamon & apple pie quite good. Matcha latte & hot chocolate are thick.
Awesome French bakes. The almond croissant well executed and matcha latte is rich and balanced. Nice joint to hangout with friends. The secret hideout on level 2 is cosy and unique. Will definitely want to visit again.
Nice cafe with relaxing vibes! Staffs are friendly and patient in recommending pastries and teas to us! Their pastries are GREAT! Must try!!
Came on a weekend and it was very packed. Not so comfortable with the place as it was too crowded. Coffee was good and croissant and quiche were really good. Will come back on the weekday instead.
Like the ambient with natural lighting. Friendly staff and good food. The 🍋 is so nice. If you love lemon this is perfect for u. But if u cant take the sourness then u can hold on to it. Try the apple flip over taste is just nice and the pan au chocolate is nice. Good coffee to compliment it.
They deserved a 5 start rating, their bakery is unique and they have an in-house bakery kitchen, we saw at least 3 bakers. Their products is not a commercial standard taste bakery.
Few years back, randomly walked into a French cafe for air-cond. Ordered their Madeleine and Croissant without much thoughts. Sat down and hands on the croissant. BOOM! The best croissant ever. Extremely brittle and crispy on the outside, super fluffy fuwa-fuwa on the inside with just enough buttery and saltiness. A soft bite on it crumbled the layers into flakes and then, an express to heaven. The Madeleines were lightly lemonish and sweet, resembles local Bahulu, with a Western twist. A pleasant suprise on a weekend morning in Georgetown.Croissant became a must for subsequent visits and gradually tried out other pastries such as apple strudel, scone and escargot. Wonderful.
visited twice in a week, excellent pastries and customer service in Georgetown Penang ! one must try the tiramisu, it is so nice !
My partner & I was there for two consecutive days. Their french pastries is a must try in Penang. The cafe has a quaint, chill & relaxing atmosphere for le goûter (high teaor hangout with families / friends. We don’t have an issue with the service, in fact the staffs are very polite & accommodating to our requests. There’ll be a stream of crowds on weekends, so go early if possible. Overall we truly enjoyed at Le Petite Four!Tried a variety of pastries, we recommend:1Raspberry & Pistachio Escargot2Apple Turnover3Cinnamon Bun4Tiramisu (Hot seller! Flyoff the shelves fast!)5Opera
2022 Croissant sudah KewChuiThe coffee is good yeah g-strings I love the cheesecake and lemon meringue pie it is so light and tasty. The special thing its supposed to be the croissant. you will be lucky to get some because they usually run out by 10 am. More importantly the people here are friendly and they are very polite when they serve you
Lovely pastries but customer experience, a letdown. Coffee bar counter guy named YS was rude and unpleasant, treated as if we didnt belong. Thankfully co-owner Elveen was very accommodating and apologetic over the treatment we received. But having said that, it seems to be nothing new as some others have had the same unpleasant experience here as well. Owners need to realize, customers are the real reason why you stay in business and with the current competitive market, you need to give an overall good experience to stay relevant otherwise you may not get repeated business. Overall, an OK place but dont think I would go back there even for the lovely pastries :(
The interior is very nice. The pastries and coffee are just average, I’m sure there’s a lot of places that serve better coffee and pastries. Staffs are quite slow for a shop with big crowds like this, and they aren’t really friendly and welcoming. So yea not coming back anymore 👌🏽
The desserts taste delicious!! The cakes all look cute 😍 just not much seats and is kinda compact. But overall is fine.
Beautiful well-lit space with delicious pastries. Favourite being the kouign aman. Buttery & sweet. All the escargots - raspberry, raisin, hazelnut. The petit fours were exceptional, get the pistachio & coconut lime. Their signature iced espresso with cinnamon & orang juice was divine! Till service was warm. Dine-in slow, as cafe was full.
Le Petit Four*Food*We ordered pistache tart and black forest dessert (susah nak eja nama dia hahaand i tell you it is HEAVEN when you eat something that is original. The texture of the mousse, namelaka, glaze, compote, sablee are on point! The taste is exactly like what i usually produce. Wthich I dont mind paying extra bucks because the taste is premium.*Cafe*So freaking brilliant. Vibrance and give you the Penang vibe. Plus i like how their washroom smells like freshly baked croissants because the aroma from live kitchen masuk into the washroom so while youre doin your business you can smell nice baked goods 😂😂10/10
Amazing staffs! Amazing pastries + cakes and coffee. Totally worth the visit and will come back again! The environment is okay, not so loud and not so quiet. We went to upstairs and had a quiet coffee time which we totally loved it. Please please try the strawberry shortcakes, its was DELICIOUS!
Nice cosy ambient, food and drink are quality. The little choc cake called "Caraibe" is unique on design. Good experience overall.
The pastries here is quite pricey, and the place is constantly busy, so expect a queue line at your arrival. Honestly speaking, I had the coconut lime cake yesterday, but for the price i paid, i had it better somewhere else :(So kinda disappointed at the end.
Best pastries in town.. Always packed with customer. Cakes and pastries are made in the house. best croisant and for the cake... you must come afternoon to try it
My local friend introduced this cafe and it does not disappoint me. As a French Pastries lover I love their pastries especially the scones, its a boommmm! Almond croissant, enchante cake all light and delicious. I even take away 3 scones before we left.
Nice cafe in the Georgetown heritage area. This cafe is near the famous siblings bicycle Street art. There are many cafe nearby. The pastries here is famous. Come early as most of the pastries could be sold out quite quickly. Coffee is okay.
Love their hazelnut escargot and hazelnut cake, its super awesome, cake start serving around 10.45am, early morning generally just pastry. Would definitely come back again.
*Street parking here might be a bit challenging as the area has a higher uptick of traffic, so it really depends on your luck.Ambience:Decent place to chill and relax in! It has an old and timeless Western atmosphere, while not being too stifling. You can see many people just chilling here having a chat with each other.Service:Friendly staff who were nicely recommended dishes that we were thinking of trying. Although it did take some time for them to clear the previous table’s dishes during peak period, but this could be down to them not having enough floor staff on hand at the time.Food:Decent coffee and pastries. Coffee was a bit too milky for my liking, but otherwise the croissants were decent enough.Price:Pretty much what you should expect for a café pricing, where it is RM10+ for each of the items you see in the pictures. Not much to comment here as it is reasonably priced. Conclusion:If you are looking for somewhere to get out of the sun and relax for a bit in a cosy environment, this is the place to be. Although this is not somewhere I would specifically come back for, it still is a nice place to relax and have some decent coffee and pastries if I were around the corner.
Too many over rated review, pastry are so so, coffee even more so so only. Service crew are too arrogant, lack of friendly and welcome feeling.
Coffee and pastries were pretty good. The cake we ordered was just okay and expensive.
Best croissant in town! Other pastry and dessert are also good. Love their pain au chocolat. Sooooo good.... The coffee is good too!
Nice cosy cafe. Please come early for more variety. They closed at 6pm, i reached there at 5pm and theres nothing mich of a choice.Ordered thair caramel eclairs, scones and danish. Thats all left for the day. It was all superb. Loved the scone and the eclair tasted very well too! Will definitely come again at earlier time for more choices.
A bit crowded but for a good reason.Their French bakery and pastry’s technique elevate the standard for Penang’s pastry game.I think they are famous for their buttery and beautifully layered croissant!Tip: try to go there before 2pm as it gets busy and filled up fast.Tip 2: Enchante is pretty yummy and refreshing with lychee pieces
Managed to squeeze a visit on our final day in Penang! Had the Hazelnut and Enchante, both of which were very good.Price-wise is slightly on the high side but considering the quality and skill, it is acceptable.Cafe itself is very nice - natural sunlight pouring through the glass roof and very beautiful interior. You can even see the pastry chefs at work at the back with the glass window!
We had the ENCHANTE which was light and delicious. But the pain au chocolate was sadly disappointing - dense texture and only that very top bit was flaky. But if we discount the texture, taste is not bad. I enjoyed the orange espresso too!
This is one place I never wished I was there and will not ever return. Trust me if I can give a 0 star I will give negative.Parking around the area are not easy to find but thats not why the low rating. This place has the worst staffs/ cashier. From a customer perspective it really doesnt seemed like they are ready for business in the morning, nor do they seem interested to guide customer to place order or assist. We walked in and nobody bothered to entertain us until I had to walk up to them and ask about how to order and all after 10 to 15 mins sitting there. Looking at their Facebook post you can probably sense how cold is their message to customers..And there was no menu. They expect you to see what they have on the counter and behind the cashier and be able to call out what the pastries were (they only put up the pastries tag much later).Price was around the high side which definitely didnt justify based on our experience. Pastries taste OK but nothing to shout about.
Came here during my visit to Penang at my friends behest and was throughly enjoying the atmosphere and food. Croissants were amazing, especially the almond flavoured version and I loved the aesthetic of the place. Prices were reasonable too and my friend was telling me that the chefs/pastry chefs (sorry I dont know the exact termswere also graduates for Le Cordon Blue, a famour culinary school here in Malaysia. So yeah, definitely worth checking out. 5 stars and 10 stars to the croissants.
Limited seatings but nice environment. The escargot pastries are crispy and flaky. As for the cakes, Hazelnut is good, Tiramisu is not bad too, Caraibe is so so.
Must make booking for cakes and according to them, it takes 7 days to make. You cannot walk in to buy cakes. The price per cake is very expensive at RM180 for the 6" cakes size. Even the petit size cakes are also expensive. If you have money to burn, please support them.
Recently just tried its Merdeka special dessert 31-Aug-2021. One with macha and the other was the chocolate. Both equally good and addictive. Thumbs up. 5 starsMy favourite restaurant. I like its almond croissants, opera and enchante. I strongly recommend enchante. The only bad thing is it sold out pretty fast in the morning.
Very cozy, and friendly atmosphere 😊 the pastries are cheap compared to others while beating the rest of other cafes french pastries when it comes to quality. Definitely a 10/10 recommended cafe to visit.
This pastries house provide unique cakes, scone, quiche, buns and drinks. We tried their pastries like White Cheesecake, Escagot, Quiche, Scone and Cinnamon Bun.The drinks are Hot Chocolate, Matcha Latte, Red Chai Tea and Hojicha Latte. The notable food and drinks are Quiche and Red Chai Tea.Nice ambience, soothing music (mixed language songsand high ceiling.Good for family, friends and colleagues to enjoy some quiet and relaxing time.
Probably one of the best, if not the best, croissant in Penang. Good balance in the crispness and amount of butter, making it a good companion of any great tea. In terms of tea, theres a selection of TWG tea though its difficult to spot for whats available cause its behind the counter and could be obscured by the staffs (the tea menu is a bit messy). Overall a nice experience apart from screaming babies.
A must visit French Patisserie! Will never fail your expectation!!Pricey, but worth to go!Some of the pastries may contain alcohol, but not a lot and its also shown in the menu. They have Dark Chocolate Drink too, and its 70% dark chocolate!
Never fail our expectations! The 🥐 and pastries are scrumptious as always. What an impeccable timing as soon as we be seated, the rain poured like cats and dogs. Had a lovely girls’ date with one of them is a French and she approved this bakeries. I tried a new pastry and had my espresso. All the pastries we ordered have different kinds of taste and everyone are happy with their choice. The next day we went back to take away the croissants before headed back to KL.
Stumbled upon this patisserie and was immediately blown away by the creative, exquisite cakes and the chic atmosphere.Their gourmet cakes are one of the kind so i couldn’t resist trying one even if they’re on the pricey side (20+rm per cake which is about 5 usd). I tried the Enchante cake which is rose cheesecake with a lychee glaze and raspberry filling. SO GOOD. I was in heaven. Didn’t try their coffee but I’m sure it would’ve elevated the cake. Definitely coming back to try more cakes.Beautiful exterior and interior decor. Lots of natural light flooding in, cool and airy on the inside with high ceilings, clean and immaculate. If I lived in Penang I’d come here all the time. Highly recommended! Come and try a cake!! Also the lady seated next to me got a quiche with salad, and I must say that looked super delicious too.
My favourite pastries eatery in Penang.Their Croissant was best of the best!Super highly recommended👍Actually i went there yesterday about 5pm and there was only few piece of cake and pastry left in the cafe.So today i decided to go there earlier😁Their scone is best too! And the cake i tried today taste super rich too😍
