Le Padam - Cheese Bar - Wine bar in Tan An, Vietnam
Very good chees and wine. A wide selection, but sometimes running out. The cheese is fresh and sometimes sold out. I recommend it as the first joint on a date on earlier times of the night.
Food was below average. The owner is very rude to customers 🤢🤮. Hope you guys think twice before going to this place
Croissant, I can’t ask for more. This is the best croissant in Saigon that I’ve been looking for. These air holes, buttery, crusty crumbs I’ll die for it!
The croissant here is very good even though they make you purchase butter separately, which is also good. What irked me about this place is the fact they don’t provide any water to customers, forcing them to purchase an expensive bottle of Evian for 3-5€. Congratulations, you just lost a customer.
Lovely place. Good selection of wines and cheese. Wish I had found it sooner
Good cheese and wines.
A peaceful oasis in the middle of Saigon. Excellent wine; attentive--but not overbearing--service; and a delightful selection of cheese. Loved every minute of my time there.
Nice cheese. But the bread was not hot enough. They dont offer wine in bottle. We have to buy glass by glass.
Very misleading logo, limited choice of menu with an inability to advise from the staff and surprisingly slow service. We went with a group of friends looking for a dish like a raclette or fondue, since the logo of the local is an actual pot of melting cheese, we thought it would be the right place. We were wrong, the staff indicated that only the croque monsieur has melted hot cheese, everything else on the menu are cold cuts.Secondly, the choice of cold cut platters is confusing and the staff are unable to advise on them. We ended up following one advice to get one platter, but it was by far not sufficient for all of us. The platter consisted on several charcuterie cuts that were fine but just 3 small cuts of cheese (for 7 people). We did have the croque monsieur as well and it was very disappointing , especially for its price. What surprised us the most was the 50 minutes wait to get the platter of cold cuts (nothing to bake, nothing for the oven, nothing to warm up). And we were the only table there that evening.
Other than the slightly burnt omelette and too loud music, it was reasonable. The decor and cheese were good. They didnt acknowledge the slightly burnt omelette (we had to cut away the black parts, but if they are charging such high prices this is unforgivable). Good music but it was too loud for comfort. Downgraded the review to 1-star because there are several complaints about the service (see Michelles reviewbut they ignore all this constructive feedback and not even apologize after seeing the review.
Excellent choices of Cheese with great ambiance.
Went here with a group of friends, who mind you resided in HCMC while I do not, while on vacation in Vietnam. Immediately we were profiled as “trouble makers” by staff, who proceeded to have an attitude while serving and taking our orders since we did not seem foreign and are all around our late teens and early twenties. Felt very unwelcome before even finding a seat. One of the shop’s owners proceeded to come and speak to us, before I got the chance to reply they had assumed none of us knew english and were just there to mess with their business. At that point another owner, who speaks Vietnamese, comes out to speak with us. She proceeds to sneer at us as if we’re some lowlifes and explains everything slowly, her tone indicating she believes we don’t know anything. I’ve never felt so unwanted and belittled while traveling in my life, no matter the country. Will definitely not be returning.
Comfortable space. However, the restaurant has an unpleasant smell, the cheese is quite delicious and varied but the bread is not delicious.
Good cheese and beers, but quiet expensive
Cheese pieces were small and dry and slices of ham were transparent... good potential but not in line with the market prices... probably due to the high rent of the location.
Best French Cheese in Sai Gon
expired cheese. bad service
Nice place, quiet, great cheeses
Super nice
Omg I love cheese and the space here, cheese are always fresh and high quality, nice music, nice wine.
Very good cheese. The wine was also good. Cheap to
Great selection of cheese. Wine not so great. Both were a little high priced
Great experience. Owner is very knowledge
New cuisine culture for Vietnam.Besides various cheeses, beverage is also great. High recommend: Vietnamese Egg Coffee.
A nice place
You had me at cheese, freaking delicious, meats were good but the cheese was fantastic. First decent place for bread
Awesome cheeses...
Nice people, nice atmosphere, nice music, nice cheese, fast internet....generally nice spot. Just a pity that they only offer premium water such as Evian or Badiot, which comes at a hefty price. But thats the only thing ))))
One for one wines is cheap and cheerful.A lot of sold out cheese items, with some dried out drastically.Service is horrible. They rather play their phone behind the counter than give me my second glass of wine.
Amazing
Environment is beautiful, art painted on the walls, the old fashioned book case, ‘exposed’ brick effect. The music is classic. The reason for my 3 star I just feel it’s really over priced for what you get. I got and orange juice and a baguette which I could pick my cold cut and cheese. Well the meat isn’t labelled and the waiter only named 3 of the many on display. So I just randomly picked. The cheese was Emmental and they gave me the ‘skin’ harder cheese edge rather than middle part. They did change as it was inedible to me. The baguette said salad but I don’t class a little lettuce as salad. I’m not sure if the baguette should be warmed that is my preference and when you pay so much, I think a little more attention to detail should be paid. There was even a tiny bug on my inner drink glass, to be fair I just removed it rather than saying anything. The staff too, is lovely. 5 star for environment and staff. 3 star for food.
Perfect!
Excellent place to relax. I enjoyed various cheese plates, breads and wines in a beautiful, clean and spacious environment.
Good selection of cheese at a reasonable price. Happy hour house wine buy one take one for 120VD.
Nice French cafe. If youre looking for buttery croissants and pain au chocolat, youve come to the right place!
Epic! You wont find a combination like this anywhere else in Saigon. Freshly baked bread every morning, incredible selection of imported meats and cheeses and Tê Tê craft beer on draft.
Loved this place! If you are a wine and a cheese lover you will like it here. Place smells a bit cheesy, but surely that’s to be expected. We had a glass of wine each, a 3 cheese platter and ham and cheese croissant. We enjoyed our time here very much.
Food is nice, love the space and the many games you can play here. The service is also very pleasant. Ill definitely recommend this place to my friends (only two so far). Oh the decor is very distinct as well, inside the toilet as well as the common area. The only issue is because there is not as many customers, the toilet kinda stinks yet looks clean.
This place propose, as the title say, Wine and Cheese. The place is really cosy, good not loud music and propose a good variety of cheese. The list of Wine could be limited but fit well with the cheese / charcuterie. Owner knows about cheese too. Talking about bread, the one served was really good contrary to local banh mi. Recommend for group chilling or maybe couple dinner.
Best cheese bar in town - try the comte and the st nectaire!
Owner and staff really were very friendly. Cheese was so delicious.
This place is awesome! Great happy hour and the best selection of French cheeses in Saigon. They have a bunch of cool French books (and English books about French thingsand board games to check out while youre there.
Nice decorations, great cheese, great bread. Everything is here for a good moment
The best selection of wine and cheese in the city. Either you looking for a great moment with friends or to swing by and get (amazingbread and stock on high-quality cheese and cold cuts, this place is just amazing. Highly recommended!!!
Nice selection of cheese (even raw cheese such as switzerland gruyere, comté, camember de Normandie).
Le Padam - Cheese Bar has finally re-opened! Very nice and cosy place with awesome cheese!Ill share this little secret with you... The Roquefort they have is out of this world! Ive never eaten a better Roquefort in my life, even in France! This one is truly, truly exceptional! Every bite is a short burst of 3 Michelin-star flavor! Nothing short of incredible... Im getting carried away here... 🤣
