Le Marrakchi - Moroccan restaurant in Marrakech, Morocco
One of only licensed premises in the square, good views , cold beer
Very bad, i would score negative if i could.Dont ruin your day
View was lovely, staff were kind and attentive. Food was lovely, good range of authentic meals. We would recommend the grey wine and the lamb tagline with 7 vegetables. Quite expensive but you are just of the main square, so what do you expect.
Careful as they serve fake branded alcohol!! Its a total no go....
Just wooow! Best harira in Marrakech 🤤🤤Amazing service, plus the views!!
Food is average, the view is good. Prices are for the location. Service is poorGet there early if you want a good table.
Food is very average. They charge for the location which is good as the terrace overlooks the square
Good place to have a view over the square while having a cocktail (one of the few places in the medina which serves alcohol)
AMAZING! I recommend calling first to make a reservation as around 8/830p onwards it is VERY busy. Food was soooooo good. Honey chicken and almond tajine was a phenomenal mix of flavours. Dessert was also phenomenal. The Moroccan mix and the “crunchy” chocolate cake was so delicious s(hint of chocolate flavor). Service was great for how busy the place was. Everyone was phenomenal.
Try one, we liked it! Great selection of Moroccan salads, plus the tanjia and omg wine. Second time, 3 days later we went for sunset drinks and were wedged in the corner of the terrace. We asked to be moved to a more scenic table when one opened. When one did 20 min later the hostess said it was reserved. Mmm k. We both know no one is making reservations. It’s now been an hour - that table and 3 other great spots are open. Meanwhile view from the corner is nada and my opinion has soured (even with rosé)
Had an amazing farewell group meal here. Everybody enjoyed their meals. I had the lamb shoulder which was huge & cooked to perfection with a long island tea
The Mechui lamb burger was very tasty. Also, there chicken tajine had a distinctive and delicious sour taste. I guess it was the prunes.
Authentic food and drink, very friendly service, nice ambiance and a very international crowd! Well worth a visit!
Good was good, service a bit slow. Rather touristy place, but great views!
Good place for dinner for tourists. They have spirit drinks, beer, wine… the food was good, a bit expensive cause the spirit drinks taxes. Try the tajains. The salad was good too. The chairs are ver low for tall people and that makes it a bit uncomfortable. The terrace it’s one of the best photo spots for the market, and that is worthy enough. Don’t miss it out.
I was having a great day in Marrakesh, until I came to this restaurant. The waiter was a disgrace and ruined my experience. Very rude and aggressive. Completely unnecessary. I would not visit again. The views from the roof terrace are very pretty.
Nice atmosphere and very welcoming staff. We ordered the mix Moroccan salads, they came beautifully presented bit some of the dishes were hit or miss.
Amazing place to watch over the main square. Great service. The food looked lovely but we didnt eat there. A bit on the pricier side.
Got food poisoning here... actually 2 of us did.. its also a very expensive place and some of the waiters are simply not good. View is nice however and atmosphere is nice too, eapecially at night when they do music and candle light.. but wouldnt trust it again personally but one of the few palces that sell alcohol in the area. Shame about the food poisening tho :( if it want also for my dad having the same issue id have ruled this out.
Great place right on the side of the market. Fantastic view and great entertainement. The food was great, we had *brochettes*, slightly pricy but to be expected for the location.Plus side they sell beer which almost none of the others do. Would go again.
A large group of us went for a family meal which was booked by our Riad. We arrived and were seated by the windows on the top floor with a great view of the square/surrounding restaurants.Live music was playing which added great atmosphere followed by belly dancers a little later, my uncles could barely keep their mouths closed.Menu has several different choices with good set menu selections as well. Food was delicious and staff were attentive and friendly.
Even if you book in advance you will have a bad experience visiting that place. We arrived on time and there was no table waiting for us. We were 2 persons and we managed to get a table afterall...Lady at the reception was not so welcomeand not even smiled. !!!!Service is super slow and ignorant!!!! After waiting 50 minutes without ordering (not even some water), we were about to leave and then the waiter decided to take us an order. Other tables before or after us were served slowly as well. They pay more attention to bigger groups. They are not professionals or well trained. To bad because the business owner should take some action to improve otherwise will run out of business. Food was not bad and live music was a plus. We did not manage to see any belly dancers. Alcohol is served but if you wish a cold beer.... good luck! Credit cards are accepted here. Highlight of the night is they were expecting a tip at the end.... LoL!!!
Authentic restaurant with great view at the terrace. They have live band playing traditional Morocco music, and Belly Dancers at later night. Service sometimes can be a little bit slow especially when belly dancing is going. However totally understandable. One tiny thing is smoking is allowed even when all the windows are closed. Good for smokers but we are not very used to it.
Had a great experience! Traditional Moroccan food that was enjoyable, appealing and filling. Listened to a Moroccan band that set the mood and watched belly dancers briefly move thru the room. Great view of the market down below. The waiter was excellent and the rest of the staff anticipated all our needs.
A wonderful place with a good exhibition. The dinner was fantastic!
One of the few places to get a drink, has great views. The food is very good, I recommend the selection of local dishes for sharing.
A romantic Moroccan style restaurant located right in the edge of Djema el Fna square. It gives nice overview to the lively market in the evening. They have diverse menu and attentive waiters. They also have live traditional music. The food taste good, but not spectacular or anything. The price is good value if you count the view and the atmosphere they offer.
Great authentic restaurant, can get a decent bottle of wine. Has beautiful interior and the foods good also. I had the fish Tagine and its was very tasty and great atmosphere. I would book if you have a large party.
Live music, smoking allowed inside, belly dances, and alcohol all make this place feel like its a part of Marrakech that is intentionally hidden. Its one of the few places in the Medina that serves alcohol (outside of the closed walls of some riadsand can be a fun detour from more traditional places. The food was quite good and the house wines were decent. At first the place looked closed from the street but if you go slightly down a side street youll see the stairway up.
Tremendous views, with or without air-con. Beer pricey at 6€ a small bottle.
Fantastic restaurant and the staff will take extra good care of return customers as we found out,the peanut appetizers are delicious!!
Such a cool spot! We have been here twice while staying in the Medina.Food is great and they serve booze which is a huge bonus here!!They also have live entertainment and while we were there tonight, the guys doing the entertainment invited my two boys up to play along with them. It was a lot of fun!Highly recommend!
Really nice rooftop. There is also live band from 8 pm and some dancers that animate the evening. The food was ok maybe a bit over price but overall its a nice place. For those who are scared to order water, in here when you order water they serve you a full bottle and they open it at the table (like wine). Plus the dessert are good, especially the croquet au chocolat. Delicious
The best restaurant in town. We were there for two evenings, one weve only drinken cause was late (they stay opened till the last customer leaves though the kitchen closes at around 10 I guess. Nice and polite waiters really accommodating. Pay off a visit if you interested in Belly dance. Place its quite expensive but its worthwhile.
Loved the atmosphere, had a shisha and juice, but food seems to be very good too
Venue is well decorated and has a nice ambience. There is an ok view of the Medina if you have a window seat. There is a live traditional band from around 8 and at 9.30 some dancers come out, which is nice. However, the service is fairly slow. The food is fairly nice, but the price is higher than most of the restaurants nearby, but this makes sense given the decor.
One of only a few places you can have alcohol in the square. Food is good, (spagetti and variety of Moroccan salads were awesome), view is good, service is good. We were here three times (ok it is four times now), during our stay. Recommend it for anyone wanting more than juice or water.
Good marrocan food with belly dance included
Fabulous food- where most places are bland. Beautiful building. Exquisite decor - celiing. Great view. Serves alcohol. But seriously great food after 4 days in Medina!- no doubt!!!! Our waiter Rashid was excellent. Will definitely go there again. Highly recommended.
Evening visit is a must, didnt try much food, except for mixed grill and soup which was quite good, slightly priced more than average restaurant, but you pay for the location. They do sheesha as well. Beautiful interior.
Great location and beautiful. Wonderful atmosphere and music. Good cocktails.
Very friendly welcoming service, excellent cocktails, including alcoholic beverages. Great view of the market. Food looked good and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.
Amazing food, lovely views, dancers and life music.
We went here for some wine and a nice view! We and a great time. The prices were fair, the staff was friendly and fast, and the view of the square is great! The staff is also amazing at recommending other restaurants and places nearby for something different and excursions or good places to see. We came back multiple times because of how friendly and helpful they are.
Bad, expensive, slow, unconfortable. I was seated in this sort of hobit-sized table which forced me to spread my legsuncomfortably during the entire meal. The food wasnt very good. When I noticed the rolls I had been eating somehow contained pieces of broken ceramics, the food also became... dangerous I guess. Waiters somehow took ages to serve anything. To be fair, the views ,live show, and restaurant architecture were nice, however, these were eclipsed by a very unprofessional staff and a very low food quality. Last, but not least, this restaurant unjustifiedly charged very high prices, I guess it wasnt ceramic pieces but porcelain the rolls containedcontained
Very slow service. Our waiter was lovely but rushed off his feet and sweating. He definitely couldve done with some help. The blonde female hostess was frequently seen walking around not doing anything despite the fact that our waiter was clearly over stretched in his duties. The food was nothing special, it tasted exactly the same as any other cafe on the square.Wouldnt recommend and the food definitely isnt worth the wait.
The food was really good, the waiters worked as hard as they could. Nice music and a genuine feeling about the place it self. The female manager was rude, lazy, more in to her iPhone stretched out on a divan. (We went there 2 timesthat behavior continued and I asked for a private tete a tete. No regrets just defense and well, it put us of totally to ever go there again.
The food here is amazing and the restaurant is air conditioned so whilst its 38c outside its a very welcome surprise. The decor in the restaurant is outstanding and very traditional moorish in style. The service from the staff was impeccable. Whilst inside Le Marrakchi you get a great panorama of the famous square below.
The best restaurant we visited in marrakech. Great entertainment and menu, all reasonably priced. Book in advance for a good window seat.
Let me start by saying that location wise this place is great. However, we were sorely disappointed by the service. We just wanted drinks (it was after 9 pm by this point and we had already eatenand the waiter seemed really annoyed at us for this. It then took ages for our drinks to arrive, meanwhile our neighbours did not have this much of an issue, their drinks arrived on time. We decided that considering it was starting to get really crowded (we were moved from our seats to accommodate a bigger companyand we could no longer comfortably even move our chairs a mm, to another bar. We counted what we needed to pay and asked for the bill. The best part was that our bill came to160 (2 drinks), and when we gave them 160 the waiter told us, a total of 3 times, service is not included. Where I come from service is something that is given when service is good. If it isnt good (as we felt it wasyou take your losses and be friendlier to the next person. And no matter where I have lived I have never encountered a waiter that refused to let us leave until we left a tip. Its a shame really.
