Le Lotus - French restaurant in Papeete, French Polynesia
Everything was really good. Nice view. had a nice dessert and happy birthday shell to help me celebrate
Great food service ok
Perfect place, perfect staff and perfect meal. The food was delicious and the experience was awesome. They prepared the best table and the attention they gave was incredible.
Good 👍
Excellent resturant in a beautiful location! The chef and team did a great job to accommodate a dairy allergy and made the experience just as enjoyable.
Amazing experience. Fantastic service.
We loved this restaurant! The French cuisine is on par with restaurants in France and the chef brings in local flavors to make the experience that much more enjoyable. We pretty much stuck with the chefs recommendations and were delighted with dishes that we had never had before. Make sure you get reservations early because it books up. Highly recommended!
Amazing view, breathtaking
It was a beautiful setting, and the staff is exceptionally professional and polite. The food was delicious. My father was frustrated they did not understand his request for artificial sweetener, so if you need some, just ask for Stevia (steh-vee-yah in French).
Beautiful setting right over the water with comfortable and inviting decor. Sadly the food is disappointing even by resort standards; flavors such as "lobster ravioli in a rum and vanilla broth," which work about as poorly as you would expect, combine with overcooked steak to guarantee a disappointing meal.Rating one star because the quality of the food at Le Lotus is so profoundly out of key with the beautiful setting and fine dining prices.
Dinner on a deck with a view of Moorea and the sunset... does it get any more luxurious? Good wine list. We enjoyed it.
The high end restaurant is located at the Intercontinental hotel in Tahiti. Come at 6pm to watch the sunset views for dinner which are just breathtaking. The tasting menu was delightful and shows good culinary technique - but honestly, anything would taste good with this ambiance and view this restaurant had to offer. Service was excellent as well.
Great food and awesome service. The potion is large.
The Intercontinental Hotel of Tahiti (bungalows).
Speedy delivery of amazing food!
Very nice setting over the water. Service is excellent, waiters and waitresses describe all your choices. Expensive but worth every cent. Go if you have the chance.
The food and service are amazing. We ate here for breakfast and opted to order a la carte since we are not big breakfast eaters. Omelettes with a side of bacon and potatoes was more than enough food. The view was also spectacular!
It was yum.
This review is for Le Lotus. This restaurant may have been the best I have ever gone to in all of my world traveling. The staff is quick and understandable. The whole feeling of the place is just dazzling since the restaurant is over clear blue Tahiti water. The menu is full of eccentric exotic food from so many different places.I went to a restaurant called Le Lotus and my whole family went. And to go the extra mile I took the 15-hour plane ride to Tahiti to get there. This restaurant was overwater. On the outside of the building, there were menus light up on the wall which I thought was nice but I later found out that that menu was inaccurate. When you first walk in you see a the hallway that leads to a circular room that is over the water. The staff was very nice and quick to act but I only saw around four employees. The staff prepares your table and then you sit at a very expertly set dining table where you look at the menus and they hand out kid’s menus. My mom said that I had to choose something from the kid’s menu because the adult menu cost around fifty dollars. First, they came out with these yummy creamy small spoons filled with delicious creamy tuna. Then after my family had finished, the staff brought out a light green soup. It was definitely not my favorite. Then I had a good look at the children’s menu and I decided to go with the mahi-mahi fish which is a famous Tahitian dish. Our food came fairly fast and I would probably rate it a seven out of ten because it seemed a tad overcooked and I would rate the appearance an eight out of ten. Then we had a delicious dessert. I ordered a lemon sorbet.I would rate the taste a 9 out of 10 and the appearance a five out of ten. Once we had finished I watched the staff clean up lighting fast. Overall I really enjoyed my visit! Le Lotus is an amazing restaurant to go to any time, whether it is a late-night date, some nice lunch, or a sweet breakfast or brunch with your family, Le Lotus has some of the best food on Tahiti.
Overpriced. Food quality is not good for their price
Excellent food...remarkable intimate setting..just wonderful..
Reservations are required for this place but they never pick up the phone. I tried to reach them 3 days in a row and never managed. They also dont have an answering machine that would give you any idea of how busy they are or let you leave a message. And when you just show up they tell you all tables are booked, even though you can see a perfectly empty restaurant.
Beautiful scenery, very good food.
The over water bungalows are fantastic
The view alone is beautiful especially as the sun is setting but the food and service are not second par. I enjoyed the 3 course dinner with a choice of appetizer, entree and dessert. They also bring fresh bread that you can enjoy with their delicious selection of olive oil and balsamic vinegars. If you like ginger I recommend their ginger olive oil.
Wife and I had a wonderful dinner, the staff is amazing and very attentive. The food was delicious along with the drinks.
Wonderful restaurant! The food was delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely time. They have something for everyone, and accommodate many food preferences (although you do have to ask for the vegetarian/vegan menu specifically if desired). The restaurant also has great views!
This restaurant is so beautiful! Dine overlooking sharks!
The food was really good here, very well prepared and inspired. The restaurant setting is also really great, providing a unique and cozy ambiance in an open air setting. The service on the other hand could have been better. While everyone was courteous and helpful, the service was really slow. It took over 30 minutes for someone to take our food order after we hat been seated at our table, and dishes and drinks also took a while to come out.
Beautifully placed small restaurant inside Intercontinental Hotel.Food is fancy but service not.Price is above average in Tahiti.Separated vegetarian menu upon request.Good and pricey wine list.Call for reservation.
What a romantic and beautiful experience.Great chef.
Very good
Good food
Drinks a little pricey but, I mean, look at the view! Priceless!
Very well located...in one of the most beautifull hoyrls in tahiti....food ok but too expensive
Excellent food
Absolutely delicious, what an experience
Out standing great presentation and awesome portions
Amazing
Very good but not worth the cost. We had much better French cuisine at other less expensive restaurants. While the view was excellent it wasnt worth the additional cost.
Literally one of the worst “Fine” dining experiences I’ve ever had. Food was inedible and at $40 an appetizer, it only added insult to injury. Feeling sick now. The service was fine and the manager was apologetic. Have never written a review before but wanted to warn others before they made the same mistake I did. Unidentifiable brown foam they passed off as “bisque” and some of the most heinous flavor pairings I’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Don’t eat here.
Food is fantastic but is pricey! Prepare yourself for a big bill.
Chic
Very tasty
Places to visit in Papeete include the Paul Gaugin Museum and Tomb of Pomare 5. Pearls everywhere all at different grades. You can swim in the pools at the Intercontinental for free if you have lunch there - so we did.Lunch at Le Lotus at the Intercontinental over the water.3 star Michelin Chef. Perfecto and magnific. The French know their food.A little pricey - but everything thing is expensive in Papeete.
