Le Comptoir du Pacha - Moroccan restaurant in Marrakech, Morocco
Le Comptoir du Pacha in Marrakech
Description
Privilege
Good food. But fails to stand out above and beyond. The guy playing music felt like a bit of harassment that reminded me of fez.
MoreGreat food, service, and atmosphere! We enjoyed everything we ate and loved the look of the place. Nice, cozy, and relaxing. The singer was nice too.
MoreLoved this place! The food was amazing and the restaurant is so beautiful. The head cook introduced himself and told us about how they try and make the design and food of the the restaurant a mix of cultures from Berber, Arabic and more. Definitely recommend the 4 hour cooked lamb!!
MoreVelmi příjemná a útulná restaurace s kavárnou, fantastická káva, deserty, milá obshluha a prostředí, je nenápadná a zastrčená v postraní uličce, rozhodně stojí za návštěvu.
MoreGreat restaurant! A welcome change from Tajine to a good quality French cuisine. A very tasteful food and a good service. May I also mention good portion size for the French restaurant. A win - win!
MoreGreat place! Service was excellent, our waiter spoke English and was very friendly. Food wise, Ive had a lovely duck chorba, a very tasty chicken medallion and a creme brulee. Highly recommend it.The bar also has alcohol, a bit overpriced, and cant say anything about it as I havent tried it.
MoreGreat ambiance (for couplesand service but the food is marginal and almost overpriced. Be prepared for guitar serenades.
MoreThey served beer, which is about the only good thing to say about this place. We waited too long to get menues, and too long to order. Then we waited at least half an hour for our food (The place was no where near even being halfway fulland when we got it the dishes were small and cold. On top of all of this, they had hired a young man to sing and play guitar, it was way too loud, he was standing way too close, and he had a repetoire of four songs.I would NOT recommend this place.
MoreThis restaurant was recommended to us by our riad. I got the duck confit and it was incredible! Granted this was the first full meal we had in Morocco but I was really blown away by how balanced the rich duck with crispy edges and caramelized onions were paired with a sauce that tasted like apricot and cinammon. The bed of potatoes it was served on were buttery and seasoned perfectly. We got a creme brulee with saffron for dessert, which was also very well done: cold and impossibly smooth custard, a thin shattering sugar shield, and a hint of saffron that made it unique. The other aspects of our meal - including the bread with a mix of tasting salads, and my fiances chicken medallions - were tasty, but the duck outshone them both.
MoreGreat find down a quiet alley. I had the beef tajine which was excellent and very tender - possibly the best beef I have ever had. The wait staff were very attentive, and the restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere. My girlfriend had the 4-hour lamb shoulder with vegetables which was also a great dish. Reasonable prices all around.
Morei visit their restaurant with my girlfriend , and i was so excited to taste their plate , it was recommended by the receptionist in the riad , when we arrived we was waiting like 30 min ... after the server decide to see us , finaly . after he served us the food there was a weirde smell , we didnt complaine ,but after we asked him to get some water , and he was giving me that look like im kind of homeless or something and that make me so angri , we was waiting for the water to come but he didnt bring it so we decide to go away , thank you for this disaster dinner .
MoreNice surroundings with terrace. Food was decent, service just okay. Failed to mention the various menu items they were sold out of so we found out as we ordered that 2 of the starters and 2 of the mains ordered were unavailable. I dont know if this is an every night thing, but the guitar player constantly interrupting meal at the table and refusing to leave us alone until hes tipped made it difficult to enjoy our time. Many better options out there.
MoreSaw this got a 2013 Trip Advisor Award. We turned up on the first day of Ramadan so it was empty. Food tasty, served promptly. Lovely ambience in a small central courtyard.
MoreExcellent restaurant typique marocain, les plats sont très bien présentés et les ingrédients de qualité. Merci pour laccueil!
MoreDelicious food, professional service
Coucous lamb: they forget the lamb only 3 small pieces of meat. Quite expensive for what you get compared to other places. The restaurant is nice and clean though.
MoreService was very good and friendly, not sure about the entertainment as we kind of like to be left alone while we eat. The food however seemed to be sub optimal. My lamb was a very small portion and not as described on the menu. It was the last portion of lamb left possibly? My husband also commented on the tiny portion of chicken in his dish. We are not big people or eat large portions of food so this is not a perspective thing. Surprised at all the positive comments. I guess we just hit this place on an off night?
MoreQuite and cozy place, they had live music at the place which made it even more special. Being vegiterian I found it difficult to get an appropriate meal for me as most of the menu has meat in it but you can ask the waiter to leave the meat out of the meal. Great place to relax in after long walk in noisy Marrakesh. A good location as well, as it was close to our Riad El Youssoufi.
MoreIt is an amazing place. Good food and service!
I had higher expectations based on the previous reviews. The staff was not attentive and the food did not seem fresh (I must say that I’m very picky on this aspect), but that’s how I personally perceived it
MoreTruly amazing food.More expensive than other Moroccan restaurants Ive visited, but worth it. Every dish we had was exquisite, and as good as the best we could get back home (New Orleans.)Top-notch service, as well.I hate to visit a restaurant twice while on vacation (theres so much to try when in a new placebut our dinner was so good we went back a second time.A highlight of our trip.We spent around a thousand dirham on dinner for three, and Id happily spend it again. (As I said, expensive compared to what weve spent elsewhere in Morocco, but well worth it in my book.)
MoreCuisine raffinée. Le décor du restaurant est magnifique. Vous pouvez manger dans le patio ou à létage. Le soir, vous êtes accompagné en musique par un chanteur guitariste local : très romantique pour un dîner en amoureux.
MoreMusician was great... we came with 2 children and the service was very slow by our standards... it took 2 hours from the time we ordered our meals for the plates to come. Don’t be in a rush if you come here.
MoreWe were satisfy with everything, very delicious desserts and nice guitar guy :)
Great place to have excellent food.
Hello - (this message is for the management- the email ID listed on your website is incorrect. Could you please give me the correct email ID - I want to make a reservation for a large group, and need more details.
MoreTerrific food ,terrific service, terrific ambience. Just loved the whole experience.
MoreA beatiful restaurant! Amazing! The food is ok. Not too much to choose from, and small dishes. Should eat booth starter and dinner.
MoreA very comfortable & sophisticated restaurant serving high quality food in the Medina.Typical (from my experience19th century Morroccan interior with some tasteful modern additions. Ive been collecting restaurants for decades in 40+ countries & 3 continents - this is one of the best and its European bar meal cost. But remember that even shop alcohol in Morocco costs 3x the price in Europe. The house wine is very good though. Notes: 1. Its cash only 2. Youll have to walk ~100metres cos its a car/taxi free zone. 3. The location isnt obvious - if you get lost, 10 Dirham to a youngster will get you there. The kids are friendly, helpful & fun - not European urban louts! You might even get an uninsured ride on a scooter for more cash!
MoreVery good and varied menu with wine and beer. Slightly difficult to find but the staff is extremely helpful and do not mind picking you up at a nearby point. Special mention to one of the waiters who very kindly walked with us to our Riad located in the tricky Medina late at night to make sure we got back safe.
MoreVery nice ambience, and the food was good for a decent price. We got three entrees and by the end, we were full and wished we saved room for dessert. My dad got the chicken breast, and we got the chicken pastilla and the lamb veggie couscous. The food we got was some of the better versions of dishes we’ve had in Morocco. The pastilla was actual puff pastry (sometimes it’s weird hard breadand spiced nicely with shredded chicken. One thing was that the guitarist was very talented, but could be a little too loud to have conversations so it was difficult to talk sometimes. Overall, lovely experience!
MoreWhat a fab place with great decor food and live music
This restaurant was recommended by Riad Malika. The Food was delicious, the waiter recommended the Duck Confit. Very good service and the rooftop was pleasant. There was a young man singing and playing guitar, he was so good. I wish he was on YouTube. Thank you for the excellent music.
MoreCouldn’t recommend this restaurant more. Delicious food, ambiance and hospitality. The owner provided us with such great service and cooked food specially for one of our group a meal that was not on the menu. Good wine and visa available
MoreThis is a lovely spot to enjoy food...not just to eat..with a rich menu that will make you want to try everything, live music is so good..Le comptoir du Pacha offres dinning experience in a new form.
MoreNice secluded restaurant, on two floors characteristically furnished. Menu marocain rich in flavours
MoreThis restaurant had the best presentation of the dishes which were of high quality. The service was very good. And the ambiance was great.
MoreAfter eating tajin and couscous for days we were so happy to have found this place. Food was delicious, personnel is friendly, place is atmospheric, and we had live music.
MoreVery pleasant and secluded restaurant with a wide variety of food. As well as local cuisine, it also has some more international - more French influenced dishes. The food was of an excellent standard with attentive staff. When we were there we were also entertained by some very good guitarists.
MoreExcellent restaurant in the heart of Marrakech. Service was quite pleasant, and the food had a distinct French twist- a welcomed change from local Marocan cuisine.
MoreExcellent food!
Food was good but small portions. Dont ask for water as they refill their mineral water bottles with tap water.
MoreCame here after reading reviews and wanting to explore. So glad I did.Great service and the food was absolutely delicious.Got the 3 course meal and so worth it.The lemon tart amazing.
MoreExcellent cuisine, attentive servers and a wonderful guitar playing young man. The ambiance is lovely. Cant wait to go back.
MoreTruly amazing place to eat. The food is out of this world tasty, but be prepared to pay a little more than the going rate (100-200 dh per plate)
MoreFood is excellent and atmosphere is even better
Fantastic, good value, great food (Moroccan with a modern twistsuperb ambience
Such an amazing place and excellent staff! Couldnt really think about better restaurant for the first romantic dinner in Marrakech!
MoreFriendly staff, tasty food, good ambience, talented guitar player cum singer. Well worth a visit.
MoreHavent even had our main course yet and we are swooning over the food and ambiance. We just landed in Marrakech this morning and are not so hungry so we are sharing a starter and a main course and maybe dessert.Lamb tagine just hit the table. Really lovely presentation and tender lamb with prunes, apricots plenty of walnuts and olives sitting atop tender mashed potato. Taste was good but didnt live up to the spectacular presentation. Still tasty but not as intriguing as the starter bThe 6 Moroccan salad starter was gorgeous. Each salad had a unique taste including 3 varieties of eggplant salad, olive tapenade, tomato and honey and cumin roasted matchstick julienne veggies. The kitchen obviously has skills
