Le Chalet Dalat - Restaurant in Da Lat, Vietnam
Good food, kind staff, good drinksYou should stop by if you are in the area, amd try An Spa which is 5 min walk from the restaurant
Does only accept cash, no warning or sign anywhere. Place mostly hosts tourists, so this is completely unacceptable. Also charge a service fee which is uncommon.
Poor service - we waited 45 minutes for our food. The lemongrass chicken, noodle salad and greens were very average, and lacked flavour. It is also VERY overpriced. Definitely does not live up to the reviews - It is a nice setting but not worth the trip.
I have eaten here twice now and the food is always great whether it is Vietnamese or International food. Today I had the burger and ir didnt disappoint.
Quality place with quality food and beverages. I really enjoyed my breakfast here. Chill vibes, great coffee and just overall a nice place to hang. Shoutout to Mani.
Really excellent food, very attentive service and friendly staff. Overall lovely restaurant.
A perfect oasis. The ambience is great. Friendly service. The food we had are delicious. Their French fries is real potato with cheese. We love their beef stew. The rated seafood spring rolls are good except a bit oily for me. Overall, great dining experience.
The food was delicious, it wasnt very busy but most likely because we were there just before closing time. Lovely vibe. The host and server were super friendly, and again the food was so good - especially the desserts. Thank you from Scotland!
First visited the place four years ago and I really liked it. Came back recently and the food was still satisfying. Still love their latte and noodles. The staffs are always very welcoming and helpful. The place looks like it has not been maintained well compared with what it looked like before, but still nice. Definitely a good place to visit before or after going to Crazy House.
Overpriced. Not courteous staff. Not good service and the plating sucks. Looks fine In the picture but service is like eating in a Street side eatery. Not good value for money.
Amazing place! Amazing food !Amazing team! Pet friendly 🤩🤩🤩Juste go and pass a quite time with so good meals !
This is a super overrated place with bad food and super high price. We ordered pasta, spring roll, rice with fish fillet and a salad.. all were equally below average. Spring roll was simply too bad . I will not recommend this place to any one for any reason
Fabulous dessert options... choose the banana mousse and crepes... will surely be demolished before you remember to take photos
Felt like something western, so tried their English Breakfast. Came with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, baked beans, and ham. Im 96kg, and the portion size for me was quite filling. It was all good, but the highlight for me were the scrambled eggs which were a cloud of fluffy buttery goodness. Da Lat has great local options, but if you feel the craving for a western breakfast, its worth it to go here.Atmosphere is not the typical hilltop view which can be found in Da Lat, but instead is more like a pleasant enclosed garden. Altogether a very pleasant experience.
Really relaxing vibe. Bo kho, seafood spring rolls and English breakfast were really good. Banh canh Ha Nói was bland. The owner is sooooo nice and sweet. Oh, the Cafe Latte was delicious, too.
Nice atmosphere and great coffee. The manager is a very lovely lady who takes pride in her business and makes an effort to greet all her guests. She is a fantastic hostess with a welcoming smile. Highly recommended.
(2022 Mar 30thHad the Rice with chicken wings and fresh greens for 290k. Food was reasonably nice but I thought it was too expensive. Staff was polite. I even got to see the boss. Located just across from the Crazy House which might be the reason for the price.
Fantastic restaurant. Great menu to suit Vietnamese, Asian and Western tastes . Good wine list and craft beers.Super attentive staff serve you in beautiful ambience of wooden benches in a rustic setting .Highly recommended
Very well-executed menu of both western and Vietnamese dishes. The Mi Quang is a personal favorite. They have western coffee available that tastes great, and a great selection of juices and smoothies for the healthy sweet tooth you may have. The location is beautiful, absolutely dripping in foliage and cute decor. I typically visit this place several times on every trip I take here! Its right across from Crazy House, making it my go-to spot to eat if Im staying there.
Awesome restaurant! Yummy food, amazing atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back!
Would definitely recommend to all. Suitable for families, business lunches, catching up with friends and solo dining. Eclectic & modern decor with plenty of seating options. Their food menu had been reduced due to Covid but still plenty to choose from. We tried their coffee, lemon soda, tropical smoothie and cheesecake (unbelievably yum). The staff were really friendly and service was fast.
Enjoyed lunch here with my family. Food is very good. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The vibe is cozy. Music could be improve by offering more musical variations. Impressed by nice garden and decor. Will come back next time!
Our experience here was nothing short of amazing. Each room has its own ambience so if you’re lucky enough to come at a quiet time you can choose which vibe suits you best. The service is unmatched. If Marcus is there be sure to request him! He suggested amazing options and always made sure we had what we needed. On top of that he was able to give us some recommendations on what to do around town once we were done eating. We ate the yellow noodles with tofu, pumpkin soup, and fresh salad with balsamic, all of which were amazing. It was hard to pick which we liked best. The Vietnamese coffee was made perfectly (not too sweetand the purple detox juice was delicious as well. Complimentary tea with every meal (a local tea).Other perks: free WiFi, live music every night at 6:30, and endless smiles from the staff. We would eat every meal here if we could! Well definitely be back again.
Went for some tea and cakes and the place did not disappoint,How ever they could nor serve coffee due to no water available, but the tea and the muffins were to the point.
Such a nice setting with really nice staff! But most important, lovely food!We had the spicy chicken curry, stir fried vegetables with chicken, tomato and pumpkin soup! Will come back again!
Servers were polite and efficient. Cake was dense, moist and satisfying. The presentation of the coffee was pleasant. The plants really make for a nice atmosphere for sipping and relaxing. Would return, no complaints.
friendly staff, cozy ambience, super fast serving, nice environment, and the foods were eye opening. I went there not because of its fame, but because I am on a vegetarian meals, and ended up realizing it is located right across the "Crazy House" which is another tourist attractions. The most impressive thing was the hospitality of all staff! Kudos to you all.
Was there before coming to Crazy House, order soup Fo Bo , salad, spring rolls, wine, juice. The dishes is so huge 😋😋😋 price is normally, staff friendly and good speaking English! Many free seats, open air space or in inside rooms. Not noisy music. Speedy wifi. Thanks for yours restaurant!
Loved the ambiance, polite and friendly staff! The live music was amazing, it created a great Christmas atmosphere. But food.. didn’t like it at all. The snakehead fish tasted bad. The shrimp soup was the weirdest soup I have ever tried - even though they call it shrimp soup it had literally three small shrimps inside accompanied by pieces of minced meat and a meatball. Bad value for the money.
Really delicious food and amazing service by Pinky. She was so nice and kind to us. Good command of English tooI had the noodles with grilled pork and peanuts, spicy beef noodles and seafood spring rolls. All highly recommended. Expect to pay at least 100k each.I wanted to try The Le Chalet spring rolls but they werent available. The apple pie honestly was the only down thing about here. It was not nice at all. Hopefully they would change their recipe.
Very cosy and lovely place with good selection of local and western cuisine. Excellent service level. Children friendly.
Really amazing food and huge portions! So good we came back twice. Atmosphere and staff were perfect. Expect to pay around 100.000 vnd for a plate of food.
The food is amazing. They have great local but also western food. We ate an amazingly tasty beef steak and Vietnamese Mi Quang noodles. The atmosphere is great, the place is clean. Tea is delicious and sometimes live music is played at the piano. Very well rounded and memorable experience. Everyone should visit this place, when in Da Lat.
We came after a recommendation from a local guide and first it looks lovely, you get free tea and there is live music at the restaurant.but when we started to order the food ,they didn’t have a lot of the dishes that we wanted to order. Finally when we got the food it was ok, tasty and filling. The smoothies are very good !
Super friendly staffs, green and cosy deco, fresh salad, steak is a little bit dry but overall meal is good. High recommend 👍
Welcome to Dalat City - the Baguio City version of Vietnam, where everything is nice from a chillin climate to delish food, warm people, pine trees, beautiful flowers, exciting outdoor activities and most of all, great coffee!!!Food and customer service here at La Chalet (sounds like Chalet Baguio, rightare delighting as well and will make you stay longer in Dalat 😎☕
Very beautifully done reataurant with live acoustic music, garden seating and cosy interiors. For smokers, they have a very classy cigar room complete with all sorts of exotic accoutrements. The deal is that there is a tradition of men sitting down after dinner for smoking cigars, drinking whisky and talking.Staff is very courteous and warm. Food is average though, not very special. But ambience just seals the deal, must go for sure!
Top rated restaurant in Tripadvisor did not make us disapointed. They deserve 5 stats for following reasons:- Atmosphere: floral style plus with fresh citronella essential oil. We love the lights and furnitures as well.- Food: the price range is around $4-7 per portion We tried beef steaks which are okay.- Serivice: nice staff with English competency, they kept filling up my tea cup ;).- Accoustic: there are pianist, violinst and guitarist. Those guys started playing around 7PM (im sure about the frequency though).- Other comments: we expect beef steas hotter a little bit actually.Overrall: I highly recommend this place for young visitors and couples.
Very good service, big enough portions, and prices are quite reasonable. Restoran is well organized, has a cozy atmosphere, very clean. If believe saying: judge the dinner by the cleanliness of its toilets, this place is trustworthy. Plus they have had highchairs, if you come along with kids.About quality of food and pricing, we have had a dinner, considering prices for good quality Western food in Vietnam, this place is a best bet. Meal of two courses: soup, main course and 🍷, for two persons cost us about 25$, it is quite reasonable. For desert we have not had space to say. But it looked yummy and not small as most deserts in Vietnam.
Absolutely delicious lunch with impeccable service in a tranquil garden setting just across the street from Crazy House. I’m surprised the place isn’t completely filled with people, but I’m happy that it can be our little secret as I would definitely like to return.Le Chalet Special was delightful and a good portion for 99k as was the cheesecake for 49k. Well worth these reasonable prices.
Wonderful ambience - lovely plants & decor. Chilled tunes, yummy food (western & asian). Kerry & her team are super friendly giving an attentive & prompt service. Live music Friday & Saturday evenin. Well worth a visit.
It’s nice place. Good cafe, good staffs. But only thing i don’t like, photo of Lenin inside :)
Very welcoming and fantastic service. Acoustic band was playing while we dined. Caramelised fish was the highlight of our meal. We had lemongrass chicken but was quite dry (no sauce)
Quiche was awesome, the carrot cake was an abomination - dense as a brick. Generally great vibes and attentive service, though.
We found this gem just near the Crazy House in Da Lat. It was truly a cozy, hipster-vibe coffee shop with unique drinks and food. We only ordered snacks since we came in the afternoon. The place has nice and cool interiors. Their menu is also varied. We got some cakes/pastries and some coffee options. I got a Baileys coffee and it was good!Price range is medium to expensive. Staffs can speak good English. Lots of seating options.I truly loved it here.
Went here earlier today and asked when they had live music, I was told it would be there 6.30. I promised to be back for the live music and brought some friends along me. However, after we had ordered and startet eating our food I asked when the musician would start since it was past 6.30. The waitress answered that there were no music today. I felt cheated going here again mostly for the music. The soup I got was decent but my friends dish was way too salty. Our first visit was nice the second not so much.
Great ambience with deco and music. The beef noodle is tasty and the complementary tea is really great. The portion for yellow noodles are really large. Price is reasonable
Absolutely beautiful restaurant / cafe, food is unreal, presentation is beautiful and the atmosphere and vibe is the best we experienced in Vietnam. Clearly French / European influences but the Vietnamese food is beautiful. Couldn’t recommend more highly, just go and check it out and you’ll see why
Slightly off the beaten track up a side street this low key lighting restaurant is still worth a visit. Portions are generous though the food is directed towards a western rather than Asian palate - I had to request some chilli sauce to increase the spicy flavour of the otherwise rather bland chicken curry. The sweet and sour pork ribs were excellent though and the beef stir fried with spinach was also fresh and delicious.
Nice restaurant and homestay. I was here for 5 nights in the uncleHo room. It was clean and had a good atmosphere. My room included breakfast (a rich breakfast menu, 8 dishes and coffee). Another plus point is the live music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.
