Beautiful interiors and a relaxing atmosphere. But the food was disgusting. Vegetables are not cooked correctly in vegetarian recipes. The vegetable biryani was vibrant in color but bland. Even the non-vegetarian items were undercooked. The dishes were all sweet. Even after specifying the degree of Indian spice, we were served mainly sweet curries, which were revolting. If your spicy food lover then its not recommended. Maybe people who cant tolerate spicy food might enjoy the food.

Awful food, Felt like my starter was microwaved. The batter on the chicken Pakora not thin and crispy at all but too thick. Then the lamb main dish had a sweet taste to it overall not nice. restaurant decor not bad - pleasant

LAMM CURRY WAS DELUCIOUS IN LUNCH BUT THERE WERE NO NAN BREADS AND WHEN I ORDERED, THEY CHARGED ME EXTRA.

Good but little expensive

Meet is not always good, they are not consistent with the sås, every day different sås and not all are good. The chicken is very bad always.Its very expensive (except lunch time.)

Nice and clean interior, nice staff and well prepared and seasoned food. Generous portions and generous spicing. Proper fresh made naan bread. Overall a surprisingly positive experience!

The Indian food tastes completely different. I am from India and I can say that the food was too bad plus the price.. less quantity and worst quality.

I have eaten here several times, and have also brought friends from other countries ( pre covid to this restaurant. I always say, that you have not visited Västerås if you have not eaten at Laxmi🤤This is the absolute best Indian food in Västerås ( yes, i tried the other ones located here too), best in Sweden, and, probably anywhere in europe or south america too for that matter!The chicken is always impeccable in flavour and marinade, the sauces served to the dishes are the most mouthwatering you will ever taste.Their safron rice is heavenly, mild, fragrant and soft to the tounge.But, something almost better than everything i have ever tasted, is their legendary naan breads! Order the ponir naan or the peshwari naan!Staff is very nice and friendly, but they are also very discreet and will not hover over you. They always make sure that all of your needs are satisfied to the longest extent they can and have no problems making sure you are full after the meal.Eat here, you will not be disappointed!🤤❤

Really good indian food

We visited a few days ago. It was a very pleasant experience for us. We enjoyed Indian food. The taste was surprisingly authentic Indian. Recommended.

The starter was fine. I ordered veg biryani as the main course and It tasted like a friedrice . Probably lost the flavor due to pan fried vegetables and gravy added to the rice. There were 3-4 pieces of tamarind seeds in the biryani which are hard and almost broke my tooth. I just couldn’t enjoy the food. This is the first time I wasted food in a restaurant and the last time I I will visit this restaurant. Disappointed!

We visit this place regulary and we are never disapointed. Last visit we had the "Mix chicken thali" and "Mix gryta thali" which both were really good. The kids love the "Chicken tikka butter masala" We tried the masala chai once and its really different and good The owner and staff are really nice and attentive. The toilets are clean which is usually a good indicator to the quality of the place. We recommend this restaurant.

Bit over priced. lamb in Briyani was very good. Needs more improvement in Indian taste with spices.

Authentic Indian cuisine, absolutely fantastic in my opinion. Lovely personel and quite affordable prices. Adequite selection of Swedish and Indian beers, as well as whiskeys and different spirits and grogs. A must in town if you like some Indian dining!

Second Indian restaurant in Västerås, after Nojon Moni... The taste here for few things is good, just ask them to make it spicy, which ultimately will taste normal. If you dont mention anything, you may end up getting sweet taste for all vegetables. And of course, try samosa here, its one of bests..

Very tasty, genuinely cooked dishes.

The food was really great!But the service was quite bad. The waiter did not stop by after serving the food, so we had to go and ask for our drinks ourselves. There were like 4 other couples in the restaurant. Finally we had to wait for our bill like another 15min. Too bad, if the service would be better I would give 5 stars.

The chicken masala is a little bit sweaty I didnt like it but I like some other dishes.

Good taste and nice restaurant for indian people residing in vasteras

This is one of our favorite restaurants in town, where we go often, both for lunch and dinner. It is always crowded at lunchtime, still very good food from 75 kr for vegetarian and 85 for meat up to 95 kr. Highly recommended if you are in town and like indian food.
