Lavonka Tourist Rest is situated just away from the busy Anuradhapura city. Its a homely place with clean and tidy bedrooms. The rooms are quite large and has air-conditioning if required. You can opt for a non-AC room too, where the price is lower. An airy restaurant area is available with a small lounge. A small but nicely laid out garden could ideally be used for some evening tea and a snack. The service is superb with Pradeep and his wife taking care of the whole scenario. They will cook almost anything to your fancy on request, provided you give them a bit of time to organise it. Food is prepared by the wife and is absolutely clean and tasty. Its just like home cooked. The rates for rooms and meals are really good and is value for the money spent.

This place was lovely! The building and grounds were beautiful. The food was amazing. I am really amazed with the staff. They spoke English very well and it made it very easy for me to communicate with them. They were very pleasant and respectful. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I cannot wait to go back!
