Easygoing, neighborhood fixture preparing American comfort food with a Southwestern twist.
The Laughing Grizzly was a great stop for apme breakfast! I had some delicious french toast with fruit and candied nuts. I do wish I had asked for a bit of cinnamon, but otherwise, the meal was quite good! The restaurant was very clean and had a nice cabin-like atmosphere tgat youd expect from a place called "The Laughing Grizzly" and the staff was very friendly.
Fast service and friendly staff...excellent food too...
Great food a nice little casino that really needs a full time attendant instead of the bartender. I stopped going because the casino attendant was never in after 9 and the bartender was ignoring the casino. Dont get me wrong because I still go here to eat. The prime rib, barnyard massacre burger, and more. Bottomless mimosas for brunch on the weekends and a damn good breakfast menu. Took my mom for breakfast at lunchtime today. She didnt like her pancakes as much as I expected but my Denver omelet, hash browns and side of sausage gravy was excellent! Side of bacon as well. The sausage gravy is amazing! The service was very good and friendly. I could eat that gravy like soup. Awesome! Im coming back and bringing my crew 👍
Good, solid place for breakfast and lunch. The service is fast and friendly! The atmosphere is also very pleasant; nice place to sit and chat with friends and family.
Food was decent, service was decent, etc... nothing was really bad except for the begging to get good reviews. I dont mind giving reviews but no need for business cards and cardstock telling me to give them 5 stars. Waste of money and paper if you ask me. Just put up a sign somewhere...
Family restaurant my butt. Gratuity for 4 adults and 2 kids. For each person?Heck no this place will never get another dime from. Go missoula restaurants and bars. Your all going down hill.Love the response I work at a restaurant and I never stiff servers. This place just stiffed good customers.Been coming here Sundays for a long time with the family never had this happen. No customer service today.
We’re out of towners and this was a great place to stop and get some good warm food! Friendly service, quick to get our order and clean place.
Tasty food with super kind staff! Great place to nurse a hangover Id imagine😎
Emmy is the best in the business. She should be paid more. She is so hospitable and knowledgeable. will definitely be coming back for more of her charismatic , charm, and on the spot making of beverages.
Worse Bloody Mary I’ve ever had and the food was very very bland. Service was friendly and very helpful.
Good food. Stop on a road trip for lunch. Friendly staff fast service
We had a great breakfast here. The steak scramble was awesome
Good food, great service, full bar, reasonable prices compared to similar restaurants. Thanks for your flexibility during covid! You were solid with the takeout. Keep rockin’ it!
Great food, wonderful service. 10/10 would go there again. Like probably tomorrow morning.
Very good food. Great atmosphere and quality servers. Im full!
This is our "go to" place for breakfast in Missoula! They have a large menu selection, HUGE portion sizes, and fair prices. Not to mention a -friendly staff.
Breakfast in Missoula! We are here for a wedding and our first morning stop for breakfast was Laughing Grizzly! Food and waitress was amazing! We would certainly recommend to everyone!
Fabulous food every time!! And amazing service. Thanks for being consistent and delicious everytime!!
Server was very friendly. Food was very good. Nice place.
Wish they were open later on the day as it is usually evenings when we want to eat out and would love to be able to go there.
After a short wait, we had a great breakfast and drinks. Would recommend to anyone who travels to Montana.
After hearing great things about the Laughing Grizzly, it was time to stop and give it a go. The burrito I had was large enough to feed a small village and me being a village idiot, ate the whole damn thing. It was a very good thing that I had my bloody mary along with my girlfriends to was this behemoth down. You hungry, you go to the Laughing Grizzly, dont mess around anywhere else.
We loved stopping here! The food was excellent and the mimosas were also great. We would make this a regular breakfast spot if we werent only driving through. Food was great and the only thing better than the food was the service with Lynette! Quick and easy stop! We recommend this establishment!!
The biscuits and gravy werent great, and the coffee was sent back, but let me tell you... THE OMLET! The denver was by far the best weve had!!! FULL of tender ham, topped with generous cheese. Our waitress was wonderful!
We have visited this establishment twice and will not make the mistake of giving it a third opportunity. We ordered the pulled pork and queso sandwich - the toasted hoagie was soggy and the queso was thick and clumpy. We also ordered a prime rib sandwich with rosemary mashed potatoes. The prime rib was like shoe leather and the potatoes were watery and without flavor. Never again.
Really good breakfast place, came here after a weekend exploring hot springs up near Lolo, not disappointed, will come again
Had breakfast and ordered the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. There were black hairs on my whipped cream. They replaced but did not take anything off bill. Also my mom had the gluten free pancakes which were cooked good but had no flavor at all.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Laughing Grizzly. The waitresses are so kind and make you feel like family. As soon as I walk in the door, Im greeted by name and a hot cup of coffee is already on the way. Local food, fun casino games, and the staff makes the atmosphere of this little restaurant AMAZING. Moneyand time well spent! Keep our money local <3
The staff and place are great but food is just ok. Home style cut potatoes tasted more like boiled potatoes cut up with no seasoning, chicken fried steak was decent, sausage gravy had no visible signs of sausage. French toast was exceptional! Huckleberry and walnuts were a great addition but a bit expensive. Overall cost was high for lower than expected quality. Drinks were acceptable.
Food was great, service was great. Beware!!!! Everything is an ad on. Do you want fruit or chocolate chips to the 6yo yup add on do you want avacado or guacamole add on, do you want gravy, add on…. And by the way a 20% mandatory tip for a family of 6
Lynette our server was totally amazing in every way possible, she made our whole experience there great! She was on point with our orders and making sure they were done just the way we wanted them, really fast timing also, very friendly, and the best customer service we have had in a very long time, I would definitely recommend for anyone to go there that wants good food, good customer service and for the little bit of extra money the food costs its worth every penny and some more
Good food, nice casino, and a bar! Plus taco Tuesday is very cool! Just make sure to have the chicken tacos; Ive had better ground beef tacos in school lunch than here, but they are all you can eat on Tuesday. Dont let the ground beef taco comment dissuade you from eating there, everything else Ive had is fantastic!
The waitress was top notch. Super polite. Quick. Attentive, but not annoyingly so.Ticket times from the Kitchen was extremely slow. Roughly 40 min ticket times for us.My wife got the, “Hangover” and was happy with her meal. I got, “The Heart Attack” but the plate was served as the menu stated. Everything on the plate was saturated in gravy. My daughter got, “The ultimate breakfast sandwich”, and loved it.
Stopped in for breakfast on road trip w/ my brother. Delicious food! We got the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Amazing service from Amanda. She gave us great recommendations including getting the hollandaise sauce with the burrito (my brother won’t stop talking about it 😃). Great place to warm up and eat before a long day of driving. Thanks Amanda!
I liked it. Quite busy, awesome casino. Foods pretty alright, good pricing to match. The staff are amazing for how busy they get, nice and attentive. The drinks are very unique and the menus are quite large, give this a try. A local favorite.
We were blessed with Amanda as our server. The prime rib was superb, the service well-paced and VERY attentive. Dont forget to try the fry bread! A bit sweeter than Im used to, but superb nonetheless! A few recent reviews made reference to some impacts from staffing. We didnt experience that tonight, but would have understood that its going to be the new normal for at least a few years. Im 60+ employees short at my business. Just how it is and businesses have little influence on a nation-wide labor shortage. I just ensure I support those remaining folks willing to work hard to make it up! Amanda and her trainee earned the tips tonight!
What a great experience! Definitely stop and give it a try! Fun diner menu. Perfect portions. Amazing prices. Childrens menu, had great choices. Emmy was our waitress, she was personable and attentive. She was absolutely amazing with our children. We will definitely come back.
What a wonderful find in Missoula. We will definitely be back for breakfast. We shared the Bear Pie - it was huge!! We upgraded it to sausage gravy - yum. The ambiance here is lovely and our server was fast and friendly. This photo shows just half of the Bear Pie. 😜
Our server, Emily, was amazing. She was very helpful with her recommendations on dinner. When I asked for a raspberry vodka lemonade, she asked if I wanted their raspberry puree in it too. Of course! It was the best I have ever had! A friend got the same It was so good and another friend got the huckleberry version. Dinner was incredible. One friend said it was the best prime rib he has had in a long time. Most definitely recommend!!
for a quaint restaurant, the food was better than expected but nothing over the top. I ordered the breakfast tacos and they were a perfect size for me and tasted great. As far as service goes, they well earned five stars. Our server did a great job multitasking bar and table service. She knew the menu like the back of her hand and memorized our orders while being patient with our slow ordering. I would definitely recommend the Laughing Grizzly!
Always love going here. Taco Tuesday is fun and the price is right. Everything on the menu has always been great. The new addition of fry bread is really good too. Fried pickles here are pickle chips and my favorite! Also love the jalapenos. Great all around choice.
Great place for a Sunday brunch. Sat at the bar and the girl helped me navigate the secret menu to get exactly what I wanted , a delicious ribeye and a spectacular waffle with huckleberry and whip cream. It was delicious to the last bite. It did get pretty busy after I got there so make sure to get here early if you dont want to wait.
The eggs Benedict was amazing, I was barely able to snap a photo before finishing it! Im soooo glad I came here. My waitress Emmy was so nice.
Had a wonderfully cooked and seasoned Birthday Breakfast with the kiddo & hubby!!!! I have not yet had a bad meal from Laughing Grizzly, Trevor is a great cook!
Breakfast is subpar. The ciabatta bread for the breakfast sandwich doesnt even come toasted. Theyll ask you if youd like hollandaise sauce but beware.. they will not inform you its an additional $3.00 charge for the hollandaise until your bill arrives. $3.00 for a side of sauce? Come on. At least tell me theres an upcharge. As a guest I dont think I should be tricked into adding a sauce to my meal to later find out Ive been charged for it. And it isnt my responsibility as a guest to ask if Im being charged for something a server suggests. Breakfast cost me $16.99 today. Last time Ill be eating here.
Great food. Diner style. Service was top notch with kind and efficient staff. Prices are reasonable and food was fresh. They only cook the burgers well done which, in my opinion, is overdone. Other than that i recommend it.
My breakfast veggie plate was great. The scramble eggs that my daughter ordered were not that great though. I have to say that I didnt find a restaurant in Missoula that knew how to cook a good scramble egg. All they do is an omelette cut in small pieces. The staff is very nice and friendly. Their egg Benedict is very good.
It was just an ok place but service was pretty slow and the food was only so so. Nachos were very soggy and the Mac and cheese was too creative to satisfy the needs of a kid who just wants plain Mac and cheese.
Excellent service. Friendly staff. Potato soup, fish tacos, and prime rib dip were all wonderful.
Been to the Laughing Grizzly many times. They have. A great local and Montana craft beer selection and a full bar. The jalapeno poppers, the beer cheese nachos, the rattlesnake Mac and cheese are all amazing options. Rattlesnake Mac and cheese is amazing. Also the Taco salad and the burgers are good options also. Its a nice little place to eat and or just get drinks. Its nothing super fancy but overall good decently priced place to eat.Service has always been friendly and good.
