Latin Cafe in Miami Beach

The food was alright but they did several deceptive things on the bill to try to get more money. They added a resort tax even though I live 7 seven blocks away and this place has nothing to do with a resort. They also claimed I was a party of 4 people on the check even though I ate alone so they could charge me 15% mandatory tip. I tip more anyway but that’s unethical to scam your customers like that.

I thought it was extremely disrespectful that I gave the waitress a $5 cash tip when giving her my credit card to pay the bill and she still decided to charge me a mandatory tip. I just paid the $4 in tip on my card because I didnt want to make a scene being my wife and I were the only people of color there at the time.

Coffee was perfect! The portions out weigh the prices. It isnt a fancy, extravagant restaurant, just a clean friendly restaurant with wholesome food.

The worst soggy pan con bistec I ever had. This is a great community but they are currently not to standards. The pictures looked great on Google and called to pick up my order and noticed it was run down, with dirty walls, old seats, and old fridges. The only thing that was fairly new was the automatic hand sanitizer by the door. I tried to not Judge the restaurant by its appearance and food taste but its all bad together. Especially in a community like Pine Tree (Miami Beach). Unless they do some remodifications I will not be going there again. Theres plenty of restaurants that are clean and up to standards right next to them. Oh and btw their prices are not affordable either. Dont risk your health here. I hope the owner sees this message and is able to improve the workplace and food quality. I dont like to stray away potential customers but its my duty to inform the public that their food quality is poor and workplace cleanliness is not to code.

We loved visiting this restaurant when we were there. Everyone is nice and the food is gooood! The portions are a good size! Thank you for welcoming us to Miami Beach!

Only been here for Cuban coffee and always great for that. Havent had the food this the 4 stars..

The attendant was super sweet and does her job great!!! Multi tasking and being as timely as possible. The coffee was delicious as expected.

Best cuban coffee! staff is always busy but they are nice. Edit: I went yesterday evening and when I got my changed and I asked the lady to please give me an entire bill ( my dollar bill had half missingshe said she didn’t have another one and left! then I called her again and asked if she had coins? she said no and obviously she was not happy and with bad attitude after my husband asked her, she just tossed me the coin. It was just a dollar I know! but her attitude was TERRIBLE! plus we are regular costumers. FYI they say it closes at 8pm, but if you go let’s say 7:45pm, its already closed.

Food is delicious, but dont even think of going close to 4:15 pm.... The staff will get mad at you. On Google, the restaurant close at 5pm said. We get there at 4:15 pm and the server stop us at the door to let us know ( not friendlythat we needed to order before 4:30 because the kitche was about to close... obviously they wanted to go but that is not the way that you treat people.... Period...

Oh wow the food was awesome and the Cuban atmosphere was fantastic plus The staff was friendly and down to earth they get six doors in my book 📕

Food was great, portions great. Tip for the owners, spot is awesome can use a good thorough cleaning. The tiles on the floors were dirty papers crumpled on floor and walls can use wiping down. Just because this establishment is in a tourist spot. No complaints about food or price. Very delish.

Went here 2 days in a row because it was that good. Good prices with large food portions. The empanadas for appetizer was my favorite. Cafe con leche was delicious!

Miami native staying at the beach found this place and can tell you. There food is good had Carne con Papa (beef stew)Tuesday special it was good and the Tostones were fire.Good place for Cuban food

The food here is good. Wish there was some yellow rice and beans. I had. chicken Milanese and my kids had blts. Portions are big and good price. Empanadas are also good. Only disappointing thing was like after we got our food no one came to check on us for water or to see if it was good.

I really wanted to write a nice review because their costumer service was great, but the quality 👎🏾, we ate there 48hrs ago and since then I feel awful and not able to eat anything.

Horrible food ,the only good was the beans and rice ,the Cuban waitress they were muddy….the Venezuela and Colombia were ver sweet and nice..The yuca was dried and the tostones as well,batido the mamey more sugar than anything…Dirty place …

If you’re staying near Generator Miami it’s about a 20 min. Walk (you can take the bike if you’re staying in Gen Miami- free 2 hour rental). Safe to walk alone if you’re solo traveling, just wouldn’t recommend walking at night.I enjoyed the Cuban sandwich.They toast the sandwich right in front of you.It took 10-12 minutes before we had our order taken, but our server was kind and it was very busy.My friend ordered the chicken soup it was delicious and definitely looked homemade.Overall good food and environment.

Fast service. Waitress was very pleasant. Being vegetarian there was really nothing on the menu we could eat beside black beans, rice, platanos and tostones. Well, that is what we ate and wow was it good! Servings were generous but not overwhelming. I would have given 5 stars if there had been more vegetarian options.

The food is really good. Like home cooking, but even better. Only 4 stars because the atmosphere is a bit lacking. I wanted to give 5 stars because the food is tasty, but I couldnt because they mostly only speak Spanish and ambiance.

Latin Cafe was good. I had a potato and cheese omelette and a cafe con leche. Both were so good. We also had easy over eggs and potatoes with bacon.

Awesome vibe! The waitresses were super nice and helpful, better service than high end restaurants. The food was amazing. It’s a perfect place to grab lunch after a night out. 5/5.

Coffee ok BUT the food took 25 minutes to arrive. This was scrambled eggs with ham and home fries and it was breakfast time. The overall service was pretty bad. Unfortunate experience because I really like to support smallbusinesses but this is one that will not be retuning to again.

I had the breaded steak with rice and beans for breakfast 😃 the rice was a little old but WOW THAT BREADED STEAK WAS SOOOOO GOOD.They play Mana inside and the ladies working there were attentive as they could be. While the place could be cleaned up a little more (like wallsit gave it personality.Latin Cafe is the type of place you stumble on by accident and come back over and over. Omg that 🥩 steakOh yea. Try the tostada. If you love carbs and butter and want it toasted….try the tostada.Secret item you have to try. Ham and cheese empanada

So delicious especially the Plantain chips which were beyond the best!!! It has an Argentine, Cuban, Italian flair to the food. Highly recommend. Very quaint inside

Good food at a reasonable price. The Cafe con Leche was excellent and servers were friendly and attentive.I had Bisftec Empanizado, white rice, black beans and maduros. It brought me back to the island, it was that good.Two days prior I had a Cubano to go and it was delicious. Is not a fancy place, it is a locals place and it is all about the food.Cant wait to travel again to Miami because there is plenty of stuff in the menu I want to try.Highly recommend!

So highly recommend this place! If you’re in Miami and looking for some authentic and delicious food that won’t break the bank, do yourself a favor and stop by this place! I was in town for 5 days and stopped by this place 3 times! The servers are friendly and the portions are huge. Can’t recommend this place enough

They give so much food! Seems like almost all orders come with the French baguettes. French toast was good. Coffee with milk was good too.

We stopped by mid day for some coffee and a pastries. We had beef and Ham & Cheese Empanada. The beef empanada was full of beef with a nice flaky crust and the ham and cheese was full with lots of cheese and ham, it was nice and cheesy. The coffee was piping hot. All the staff was nice and friendly and reminds you of your local hometown diner. We came back the next day for breakfast and a different day for their Ceaser Salad.

We also got pancakes and sausage omelet. Both were good.We were just driving and decided to try this place for breakfast. Prices were really low and food was good. I would recommend if your just looking for a quick place to eat breakfast. Not sure about lunch or dinner. Menu looked good though!

Wow. Fantastic hole in the wall place to eat fantastic Cuban cuisine. We are traveling foodies and we love this place! We got the pepper chicken. If you dont eat alot, share this. There is a TON of food on this order. But the beans and rice are to die for.

Perfect. If you have even the start of a hangover, please go here. First, the food is amazing. Second, the literal fresh squeezed orange juice cant be beat. Third, you get so much food for the money. You can top it all off with some lottery tickets. You wont be disappointed if you have breakfast here.

Love it!!! For Lunch and breakfast. Really enjoy the « Croqueta préparada » sandwich (so tastyfor lunch. I liked it so much that we went back for breakfast an other day. Nice cafe con lèche, creamy and sweet !!!! pancakes and cheese grits! You will love it all !!!

Tasty food, friendly service, good prices, authentic Cuban. I was only in Miami for a weekend and I went here twice. First straight from the airport for a Cuban sandwich for lunch - piled high with ham and pork, with just enough mustard and pickle on a perfectly toasted bun. The fried plantains, tostones, and moros rice were tasty as well. I went back for breakfast - steak and eggs - every bite was delicious.

Eggs were too runny for mine & my mothers taste but the service is friendly. Took longer to get the bill than food but we enjoyed our time together.Our food indicated it came with coffee and milk but we had a hard time gaining the servers attention. Cuban espresso was great! The three pieces of sausage is the side for $2.99(bit expensive for three pieces).

A bit off the beaten path, but this place is bomb diggity! Great prices compared to the other options. The banana shake is SO good. Good service topped off the experience and this is an easy 5 stars.

Small place. Great food. Great service. The chicken empanada was amazing and less than 3 dollars! The bacon was cooked to perfection. I was a very satisfied person at the end of it!

This is why we love hole in the wall restaurants! The Cuban food is amazing! Hell the coffee is amazing too! Best coffee my wife had in Miami and Texas! My wife ordered the Pepper Steak. We just love the Cuban plating. The black beans, white rice, and plantains that comes with your dishes are the best. I highly recommend this place.

I came at around 8:30AM in a Wednesday the cafe type restaurant was around 1/2 full and everyone seemed to be having a great time.When we entered the restaurant we were not seated or treated in any manner. We walked up to the counter and said we would like to dine in here so they seated us and gave us some buttery bread which was a bit to salty for my taste.I ordered the roasted pork that I could chose 2 sides so I chose the rice and beans. The pork however was amazing and flavorful and the rice and beans were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The pork also only cost around $9 so it was well worth it.I also ordered the fish sandwich the next day which was well cooked and the fish was flavorful and the bread complemented it amazingly. Which was also $9 and worth it.Overall if you don’t mind slow service and your looking for a good cheap bite I would Totally recommend this place. And the parking is easy because there is a Walgreens which has free parking and is a 5-7 minute walk from there.

The pepper steak! Oh my god. Get the pepper steak. #5. The plantains are delicious, beans nicely seasoned. Super affordable and just delicious!We also got the Cuban sandwich and midnight sandwich. They were fine, but didn’t hold a candle to the pepper steak dish!

Cuban sandwich and the empanada were pretty good but weve never had it so nothing to compare it to. They ran out of the special, "ropa vieja" and it was not 1pm yet. Waitress suggested "filetillo de res" and the picture showed pieces of beef with onions and peppers. Well... I got a plate with almost all pieces of charred beef. When I brought it up to the waitress she said thats hote they make it. I showed how charred it was and she walked away. I guess she didnt know how to handle a complaint. I was not trying to return it... I ate the rice, beans and plantains... just wish she had acknowledged it was burned to a crisp and apologize.Oh!! And bread they use is sitting against the wall...some of it exposed. Yuck!

Typical diner feel. Good food, great prices! We went around 11am and the place was packed! We sat at the counter, which was fine with us. It was a quick walk from our hotel, just down the street. I definitely recommend if you are in the area.

The website shows a $4. 99 breakfasts but the real price is 6.45 and if you order sausage with your breakfast you dont get a whole sausage they take a Garcia sausage and slice it so you get 3 slices of sausage! Overpriced for that!
