Las Iguanas Woking in Guáimaro

We love this place it’s serves tasty food and the cocktails look great. Service not so speedy at times but it’s fine as long as your not in any rush to leave. The staff are nice and the restaurant has a nice decor about it.

Visited here for food, the tables were not cleaned down properly and the staff seemed uninterested. That being said, the food was lovely and fairly priced. The 2-4-1 cocktails are, and will continue to be the main reason to visit.

Watch out for the optional service charge! As a party of 6 we felt £15.00 service charge well over the top. Drinks are overpriced even with the BOGOF menu. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. No effort made re birthday celebration for my husband but that was fine.

Met up for a girly night here. The atmosphere is pleasant, but when the restaurant gets busy the noise can be overwhelming. The acoustics of the building do not help with noise at all which can make a conversation difficult when it is busy. The decor is modern and welcoming.The staff are friendly and professional, well presented too. However it is not clear when you enter whether you have to wait to be seated or not - a sign may help with this as we wandered for a bit before a staff member caught up to us!The menu choice for both drinks and food is vast, however be aware that most dishes have some form of chilli in them - so if you arent a fan of hot foods make sure to discuss it with your server! Prices are a bit on the steep side for some dishes regarding the size of the portion and on some dishes there is no garnish or side, which can really affect your value for money. I had the beef burger which was quite bland and was ever so slightly burnt - Im sure other dishes are seasoned better but be aware that some dishes may be mediocre at best.Overall, a pleasant place to visit and Im sure well go again - there are lots of different things to try! A good place to go if you want to try out some South American foods.

Enjoyable meal out with two for one cocktails. Good atmosphere and attentive staff. Menu is extensive with plenty to choose from! I would visit again and recommend visiting also.

Food was ok- ish. We had a gift voucher. Also had our young toddler daughter with us who eats for free. Waitress tried to tell us that we can’t use the child eats free offer and pay with a gift voucher which is obviously complete nonsense. Insisted in paying with our voucher and was then suddenly ok. Nice try!

Friday night at 7.30pm. Place was busy but not heaving. Although our lovely server Dylan was doing his best, service was slow. He had too many tables to wait and as everyone is ordering cocktails the drinks are slow to arrive. They need more bar staff to keep up with the cocktail demand. Food took an hour to come which has never happened before so it was a bit of a shame. And then my burger was overcooked and food was quite greasy. My friends had fajitas and enchiladas which were delicious so I know what to order next time. Atmosphere is great and lovely girl singing live. I hadnt seen her and assumed she was a recording for quite a while so she must be very talented. Will go back and just make sure I order mexican food next time and order two rounds of drinks at a time. Our server Dylan was great though.

Went in at 11.30pm after a meal as we still fancied a Sat night cocktail. Very loud music hence 4 stars BUT staff were excellent, so friendly and knowledgeable as my friend wanted to change a part of cocktail and they were brilliant about suggesting alternatives. 2 for 1 -my Virgin pina colada mocktails were delicious although next time Ill ask for less ice as half the glass is ice not cocktail. Youre paying more for great Sat eve atmosphere.

Disappointing as I have previously had a great experience.On this occasion the drinks service was very slow and it did not appear busy. The food was also very dissapointing. Myself and my friend left over half of what we ordered.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner last night with, 17 guests, cocktails were delicious, food was yummy, waitress was very accommodating, great night had by all. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Good food and good staff. The serving speed is very slow, enter to spend the whole evening there. Great options for drinks and food. The restaurant ran out of ribs in my last 2 visits. It would be always fun to be with a group there, the staff is really friendly and Jolly. This place needs to improve on the serving speed.

good interior and atmosphere let down by clumsy service and bland dishes. Really wanted to like it, been there a few times but unfortunately not up to expectation. Waiters bringing orders to wrong tables, certain dishes chronically overcooked/burned. Even when they finally get everything right, food is rather uninspiring.

4 of us went here for our Friday lunch. It has a friendly atmosphere. The staffs provided a good swift service and the food was excellent. In and out in an hrs. Thanks Iguanas.

The service was very slow , despite not being busy .The extra hot chicken wings were not hot at all and were not very warm .Waited almost an hour for main course after asking where it was . Was getting concerned about getting to the theatre to see a show and asked for the bill at the same time so we didn’t have to wait ,The chilli con carne described as chunks of beef actually contained a lump of beef burger .Waited some time for the bill , to be told there was a problem and could only accept cash !

Lovely environment and setting. Good food (although did find a hair in my mealbut this was swiftly rectified. Drinks being 2-4-1 was an added bonus. Only thing that I felt let it down was I ordered from the lunch menu, but was charged for main menu price (hence the 4 stars)Other than that, a very pleasant trip and would go again.

The food was very good and the staff is friendly. The inside of the restaurant doesnt look very nice and modern but it shouldnt also really be like that for a South American traditional look

We go out to eat each week and been to dozens of places by now. This, by far, was our absolute worst experience with the food, and the biggest bummer is it cost £63 for 2 people. We ordered a 3 course meal and none of it was even enjoyable.Unless they improve their standards, I wouldnt recommend anyone go here and waste their money. Very disappointed.

Not great food and fully disappointed. Juices served are well below standard. Fondu was microwaved and "patatas" were raw (instead of cooked). Our Friday evening was ruined.

Shocking customer service.Went for a late afternoon meal. Stood at the door to be seated with my family for at least 10 mins, not one staff even acknowledged we was there even though some staff blatantly saw us standing there (at the bar)Even had people waiting behind us!!We decided to leave and dine directly next door which we received much better customer service, and the meal was fantastic. Shame as all of us was looking for to a Mexican meal.

Delicious nachos and 2for1 cocktails were really nice too. Service was ok

On walking in there was a great atmosphere.Seated and served quickly.Food served hot and in time plus tasted AMAZING. Staff are friendly. Drinks on point. Bench Seat was squeeky EVERYTIME I moved but this made us laugh. A recommended night out, would be great if theres a group of you.

I was served by Sergio at the bar and Dillon was the lovely waiter on shift. The waitress Jess and bartender Ollie have also been great from my experience. Ive personally from my experience, liked the taste of Las Iguanas halal chicken burrito, curly fries and french fries food. Ive tried their non-alcoholic juice drinks which I can also vouch for, approve of and recommend.My experience was, as usual, made by the manager lady Lisa. Lisa made me feel special during my time at the restaurant today just like shes always been doing whenever Ive been in and seen her in the past year and half or so. Ive never had a restaurant manager lady as incredible as Lisa.I came in today specifically because Lisa works in this restaurant company branch and I double checked upon entering the restaurant to make sure whether or not she was present at work. Had she not been around then I wouldve left and returned back on one of her next shifts. I really appreciated Lisas sincere, honest and supportive conversation.Lisas excellent I feel. Her efforts felt very much appreciated by me. I walked out of the restaurant feeling a lot better than I did when I first came in today. My positive change in feelings was due to Lisa and her team.Thank you!Raza =)

Shocking, service was soo slow and after waiting over an hour for mains, the chicken was burnt in my cousins burger, my burger was literally a lump of coal causing it to taste really bitter and they forgot one of my mates meals so we had finished by the time he was served, absolutely terrible. Also chips were a disappointment 3/10 hollow and flavouless. And staff were useless. I wish i could give no stars.. TRUST ME GO TO NANDOS INSTEAD

Wasnt to pleased that we reserved seats for a lunchtime as well as preorderring our food as we were against time for our lunch break. Up in arrival, they had not started the food order. Food was average. Personally would expect better from this chain.

30 mins to get a drink! , 2 for one offer on cocktails, but lets face it, whod pay 11 quid for one cocktail, interesting food choices though limited menu at time of visiting but they were "getting a delivery tomorrow" so thats ok then!

Food was tasty but did feel very much like chain (even though it is). We went for a Christmas work do and a few people didnt come so they plonked us by the front door even tbough if was ratber quiet when we arrived, where it was very cold. We felt a little bit ignored by the staff as they didnt check on us and bring our food/cocktails on time. I would probably go back again as there is not many Mexican restaurants in the guildford/Woking area but it wouldnt be my first choice of places to go.

Food was lovely. Friendly place,. Nice atmosphere. Booked a table for 8.39. Friday even sit down until 9.20. service was good once we were seated.

The food was quite nice but I don’t think it was worth the hours wait to get served. Staff took ages to take our order, then once we’d ordered we were waiting for an hour to get our food. Kids eat free. I wouldn’t go here again.

Very nice fresh tasty food. More a South American restaurant - as food from Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, & Peru. Great customer service. My son has an intolerance to nuts, staff made sure to explain everything on their menu to us. Thank you.

Good choice and tasty food. Unfortunately, we had to chase up our order, then the waiter forgot to bring spoons for us to serve our main course - again had to ask, and finally I had finished my meal and then found a feather in my mouth, possibly chicken feather although it was black. Regardless, it was definitely a feather! Made me feel queasy. Unfortunate end to otherwise quite a nice meal.

Waited an hour for a drink, left after a further half hour as food order not even taken. Told them we were leaving and not paying for drinks. Staff seemed relieved. This restaurant was too busy for the amount of staff. Dont take bookings if you cant provide a service.

Las Iguanas is a great restaurant for ann authentic and realistic taste of Mexican cuisine. The Chicken Burrito that I had was extremely good and using the Wuntu Las Iguanas code (Only available to 3 Mobile customers). Makes it one of the cheapest bills you can get. £3 a Burrito one per customer, thats a great deal. The service was great Kylie made everything seamless and very nice meal.

Food was great & cocktails are always awesome. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost an hour between starters and mains due to there being a huge group there, the restaurant being full & not quite enough staff to cover it. They did give us a free bottle of wine to compensate though.

Always has a really good vibe, great cocktails and a wide choice of food options to suit all tastes or dietary requirements. Be sure to book if there are a few of you wanting to go at peak time on a Friday or Saturday evening but either way, the staff are always accommodating and you can always have a drink in their bar area if you needed to wait for a table.

Visited today with a child. You need to wait to be seated. Waiter came and guided us to a table but didnt give us menu. 15 min after she ask us what are we having. We had to ask for the menu as it didnt click. 20 min later we dont even have a drink. The restaurant is not full but waiters dont seem to know what they are doing. Not for families, looking at the atmosphere felt more like a drinking bar. Tge menu didnt look exciting either. Not returning. We had a lovely dinner next door at bills

Getting one star because you cant leave zero. Seated without menus, 20 minutes until someone asked if we wanted drinks then gave us the missing menus and was never seen again. After half an hour we went next door to bills.

Food was quite nice, however service lets this place down drastically, very poor.It took 5 minutes to be seated at a table, I was served my food and had to wait 5 minutes to receive my drink and it took 20 minutes to receive my bill! There were no check backs to confirm I was happy with the food either. Restaurant wasnt particularly busy either.

Food pretty good, which was what we came for I guess. Drinks pretty good too. Service terrible. Not professional at all, no concept of looking for patrons who potentially need service and very slow... From everyone except from who I think was the duty manager. Ok if youre in no hurry whatever.

Tried las iguanas, woking for the first time on 17/5 (thursday evening). nice decor but was quite disappointed with everything else - too much sugar in the cocktails, food was also bit too sweet and not many hot sauces or condiments in a mexican restaurant! pricey but small portions and to top it all service was lousy, our server was ok but the others were just chatting away rather than focus on customers, we noticed few other tables just as disappointed. we got our bill about 20 mins later despite going up and telling them twice, and the place was not even busy at all. needs lots of improvement in all areas.

Food was okay, drinks were better, service and ambiance were great. Hard to get quality control right when you have such a huge menu. The kids menu had a good selection (as did everything else to be honest), and wait staff were never far away and always willing to help.

Visited for a birthday treat with family. Despite booking ahead, they clearly hadnt checked their reservations and we waited for over half an hour before being told that the table wasnt ready. We were told that our options were sitting outside or sitting at the bar. Needless to say we decided to go elsewhere. The waiter couldnt seem to care less when we said we were going elsewhere - surely most businesses would try and offer something to get customers to stay with them?Ive been to Las Iguanas several times before and really like the food but the poor organisation and service has been enough to put me off going again.

Damn, so delicious. The Cuban Sandwich is off the scale good. Service is great, staff very friendly and helpful. Food comes out in good time and atmosphere is nice and chilled. Perfect for a weekday lunch.

Cocktails are great always happy hour, service is good as well but the quality of the food is good but it is not much. Not a lot for a big eater. So want a lot of food for your money then go somewhere else :besides that good place to have a party.

Restaurant serving South American food, This is different from the other restaurants in Woking. Food is different and service good.

Reserved a table for 20:00 for 2 people and requested to be seated outside. Was told at time of booking that depending on demand this would be unlikely.Arrived at 20:00 and were pleasantly seated outside.But - then it went down-hill.We ordered our drinks and a sharing starter between two. The starter arrived in reasonably quick fashion; however there was no sign of the drinks we ordered and meant having to chase the manager. Drinks arrived whilst they took our main course order. Ordered a beer but no sign of beer when they came to clear the table.This is part of a chain establishment so thought things like service would be a given. Clearly there is an obvious disconnect between the Front of House and Back of House operations.Wont be going back here in hurry - although Manager was very apologetic and compensated us for the experience received.

We went there for pre theatre drinks and dinner - very impressed with the speed of service. Told them when we arrived, we needed to be out by a certain time, and we were with 10 mins to spare. Apart from that the food was delicious and cocktails yummy too!
