Las Iguanas Birmingham - Temple Street in City Center

Popped in for a cocktail or two. But in the stayed for just the one. Cocktails were all ice and not much more and represented poor value for money.

Went for dinner here recently and shared tapas with my partner, which was great. The reason I cannot rate this place higher is due to the unbearable and overwhelming noise being made by air conditioning or something of the sort. As a neurodivergent individual it dramatically tainted my experience at Las Iguanas, making me feel extremely uncomfortable and anxious. The music was quieter than the racket. It was only when a large group came in that the noise was less noticable and I was able to enjoy my meal. Unfortunately will be seeking tapas elsewhere.

bottomless brunch - nice food, great atmosphere but very slow service which impacts on your time slot as you only have 2 hours. although there was plenty of it the prosecco was a bit warm to say the least

Loved this place. The service, very friendly, and the food was fantastic along with the bottomless brunch drinks!

Had a good meal here today. Very friendly helpful staff and quick service. Not crowded so was a good place to have a leisurely afternoon and evening catching up with friends.

Love going in to Las Iguanas when we go to Birmingham City Centre... I always enjoy trying different items on the menu but i finishing the evening with a couple of Expresso Cocktails

Great dining experience. Visited as a family of 3 with our 5 year old child. Nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. The 241 cocktails is an added bonus and we had some fun halloween themed ones which we tried and were nice.Food was delicious! Recommend the burritos! Will be visiting again very soon.

Went in for an early lunch. Good service and ambience. Busy by 1pm..Opted for vegetarian option1. cheese fondue with fried cassava - had never realised fried cassava could be so tasty!!! Cheese was well seasoned and gooey. Very filling that we packed the mains..2. Mushroom quesadilla - as starter - good quantity of filling3. Mushroom fajita stack - good quantity, the the mushrooms could have been seasoned better.Defintely a place to re-visit and explore more varieties of food!!!

My burrito was pretty tasteless, heat in the bag meat and un seasond. With a side of guacamole, salsa and sour creme..all which would add flavour if they were in it...However a small ramekin on the side instead.My wife had the same as a salad, which looked so unappetising I felt sorry for her, so I gave her my chips.It was very quiet and you had to go and find service..Ironically the PDQ machine asked for a service charge tip to be added.. (utter jokeconsidering the lack of service and quality of food. Very insulting.We paid with a voucher..which was good as I wont be spending my own money my there again.My advice is find a small family Mexican joint. Theyll feed you a tonne of awesome food, charge you a pittance and make you part of their family too.

We enjoy the 241 cocktails here and the food goes well with a drink. Nice atmosphere. We managed to walk in and get a table. Can get quite busy and have to wait a while to be served at the bar

Great service and very accommodating for a large group at last minute. Staff were lovely, food was good, not great, but the prices and the service made up for this! Also 2-4-1 cocktails were a very nice touch

Staff were very accommodating for the amount ordered, didn’t start eating until all the food was out so that took a little longer than have liked. However, food was super tasty and great portions.

Food & drinks were nice for what it was. Paid for bottomless brunch and my table was only served 3 times during the 2hr slot as it was under staffed. The cocktails from the bar looked better than the brunch cocktails which was disappointing.

Disgusting. Dirty table - the rude manager sprayed the table as we were sat at it and got the spray in my eye. Cocktails cleared from the table before they were finished. Food was good tbf but the service was so appalling it ruined the whole experience.

Did a bottomless brunch on a Saturday afternoon. It took 25 mins to get our first drink after reminding them twice. However, there was 7 of us. We had 5 cocktails each and 5 bottles of Prosecco so I guess the Prosecco made up for the slow drinks.

Went for bottomless brunch with my friend. Food wasn’t very nice and we only had 5 cocktails within 2 hours the service was very slow and nobody was asking us if we wanted to order our next drinks I had to keep asking which is obviously annoying! Just a heads up to not do bottomless brunch here.

Its decent. But the bar to get served is too small. Plus a lot of the tables were not that clean. Only go here if you want a couple of cocktails. The vibe here is not to stay for too long.

Food was good, we had the tapas deal which is on until 7pm on a weekday and all day over the weekend. Food came first as drink service was a little slow as cocktails are 2for1 but enjoyed the food and drinks

Always a good night. Food is delish, drinks are great and service is good (albeit rather slow when we went on Thursday last week). No hesitation in recommending if you want a break from the norm

Person serving me was really rude. Im a dude and i took my girlfriend here and the waiter kept calling us "ladies". Told him to stop doing stop calling me that but he continued regardless. Very embarrassing and made me uncomfortable. Alex was the name on the receipt so im assuming thats who served us. Try being more considerate to your guests

Had the best experience here ever! Our waiter was incredible- he provided us with the best customer service. Always filling up our water glasses, our drinks were perfect- 2 watermelon margaritas, 2 Tommy Margaritas and also 2 mojito. X 3 times. Would recommend 100x over!Food was delicious, I had the chilli and it was cooked perfect. Everything tastes so fresh.Thank you!

What a meal 😍 😋Ive been in Birmingham for over a week and Im loving the place, had a meal here last night and it was just amazing the best meal in Birmingham so far. Las iguanas thank you, all the the staff we had were excellent as well, we will be back.

Brilliant restaurant it was recommended by my friends & familyThe restaurant is very modern the atmosphere was friendly & welcomingthe waiters & waitress service was especially efficient ...But the Bar staff making the cocktailsare in the element with so many choices to choose simple amazing to watch a must see..The food menu with plenty to choose from...Being a veggie it was fantastic to have so many options ... Bottomless brunch was so good. Great value for money. Lots of drinks and they didnt have a problem when ordering different drinks. Food was really good too and great value for money! Would definitely do again

Me and my girlfriend came for bottomless brunch and it was amazing😍! There was a huge selection of cocktails and the food was also really nice. Beth was amazing and made sure we had a drink at all times! We never had to wait for a drink, so it was money definitely well spent! thank you for a great experience! We will be back :)

Delicious food, great waiting staff plus bonus cheesecake slice for the birthday girl.

Went here with friends, the starters and nibbles were amazing the mains were ok. But found the portions a little big. Friday night is clearly big for the 2 for 1 cocktail so certainly book. Staff were friendly and nice I personally found the music a little loud for a dinner atmosphere.

Nice ambience and lighting. Good songs were being played. 2 for 1 cocktails are the greatest attraction, available throughout the day; everyday. Best place to host a birthday party. Reservations are strongly recommended if you are going on weekends.

Delicious food with professional waitersWe had a delay in one of the orders which was handled in a great satisfying way .. definitely worth coming back to it

The Food was good, but the 5 star rating is for the server Abby who went above and beyond to make sure the there wasnt an issue with my food intolerance. Really great service and attention to detail. Well done!

Went for a birthday celebration and all the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good atmosphere, quality food and lovely cocktails.Highly recommend for bigger groups or if you’re looking for a chilled night out

Great service from the Manager here. We were a large tapas naive group, so we left it to her to order for the group. Dish after dish was amazing! We were really impressed.

We dined here as a group. Good value but some (not allstaff seemed tired, stretched and very short and to the point while other staff milled around doing nothing. They pressured us by saying that if we didnt start to order food even though we were still waiting for friends to arrive that the food would take ages. Food orders ended up being mixed up and multiple staff had to come over to sort it out. Right orders were brought over very quickly when noticed so they were cooked and ready to go. I dont think they have the best POS system to process orders/track promotional offers. The bar was great service was quick.Value and drink quality was great. Im sure if we went as a couple service would have been better could just be their approach to taking orders from a large group.

My friends and I went out for a last minute dinner and despite being busy the staff found us a table. The staff were friendly and polite. The restaurant is clean, nice and cozy.We ordered a few things off the menu, I ordered Bahian Jackfruit Curry which was served with rice and kale. The presentation for jackfruit curry was unique and nice and it tasted absolutely delicious 😋Overall a good experience, I will definitely go back again !!!

Nice atmosphere, very staff, food was wicked, goat curry was hot hot hot, the the vegan version was hot to trot, finished of with a malibu shot. Will be going back.

The place was really good. Its pretty much busy but worth it. The staff members are really friendly and the service they provide was quick, even though they very real busy. Food was incredible!!!!!!!

Lovely place here for cocktails 🍸241 all day. I love the run cocktails however the majority of it tastes like juice cant taste the alcohol much.The food was well cooked however the roast chicken is not marinated I the sauce like bbq or peri peri they pour it over the chicken after it cooked so it doesnt taste as good. The manager was nice when I sent the food back as it was not as described.Will defo go back there again but I do think they should do some sort of customer loyalty scheme as drinks are expensive at £10 each for a small cup.Toilet is downstairs. Im unsure if they have a disabled assess bathroom.

I must say that the music is always superb.The Ceviche was not what I expected visually as a person used to the original one from Perú/Chile, but the flavours were actually QUITE GOOD. As you can see in the picture, it was colourfull and looks amazing tho.The mocktails are my fav.

Loved it. Late review sorry! But went here with my other half at Christmas 19 after a day of shopping and really enjoyed the food. Decor was awesome, staff were friendly and down to earth. Good deals on Tapas which was really filling, and on cocktails which are my fave :)Would definitely visit again if I am in that neck of the woods.

Amazing food, as always, and at 40% with NUS student discount! Great! Love this place, such a wide range of exotic foods to try that are always delicious! So good! And always 2 for 1 on cocktail and mocktails is always good. Cant wait to go back again. ✨

First time visiting Las Iguanas. Food was exceptional and faultless. Large enough portions and was worth the price. Ordered Tapas, mains and desserts. I ordered Chicken quesadillas, Prawn Maracaña & for dessert Macadamia cheesecake. The main course was really tasty and filling. I loved the bread. The waiter whose name was Al was polite, professional and was attentive to our needs. We was also served by another waiter who was also very polite and attentive. Both waiters checked up on us to make sure we was happy with everything and we had no complaints. Food was served at a steady pace. Nice atmosphere and décor. Thank you Las Iguanas, we will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended.

This branch of las iguanas has completely smashed any other L I dining experience Ive had. By far the best service with the friendliest, helpful and courteous staff Ive ever had the pleasure of being served by. It felt very local, as the welcome alone was very warm as was the food.. that was cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner. Unlike most eateries of this type, I didnt feel as though we were being rushed to leave so that the table can go to someone else quickly. Great atmosphere, outstanding service and delicious food. 😎

Came here with friends on 31st Jan in the evening. We decided to try out the new Las Iguanas in temple row, as we always go to the Arcadian branch. We were a bit disappointed here the service was extremely slow, and the staff were unaware of the 50% student promotion, although they were lovely and got the manager to assist us.I would probably come back here and give this place another go but just for drinks, as I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. I would highly recommend the Las Iguanas in the Arcadian, as weve always had an amazing experience there.Pros:* Great drinks* Great location* Rebecca the bar maid was efficient and lovely.Cons:* Slow service - mainly at the bar* Toilets smelly and some cubicles had no toilet roll.
