Las Brasa's in Allentown

The food was horrible. I just moved from NJ to Pennsylvania and I was looking for a good peruvian restaurant. The peruvian food in NJ is very good!! This place put to shame how Peruvian really tastes. I will keep looking until I find a good Peruvian restaurant .

The food was very good amazing service!

No start should be given to those place. Poor menu choices, bad preparation. Be aware when you order a stake and end up receiving a dry days ago cooked dark piece and overcooked of meat. I ordered a classical well know Peruvian dish: bistec. What a disappointment. The French Fries had no taste, the rice was from days ago. The eggs taste to the cheap 2 dozen for $2 eggs with hormones.The plantation bananas don’t have the crispy flavor a good cooked plantation banana have.The Peruvian cook and owner is a fool. I will Never go back to this place.By the way, several times I saw this place from outside but I never had the feeling to eat there because it is always empty, no customers at all. But I tried because happened that I had to buy some groceries at the next door grocery store.

Very bad experience! Food was not authentic at all. We tried the ceviche it tasted and look like it was old. Lomo saltado fries where refried. In general food didn’t tasted good. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

The food is good. Its better.A suggestion: You should control the measures of the soy sauce because not everyone likes salty food. Put less soy sauce.

What I enjoy:*Good portion of food.*Very kind owners.* fresh ingredients used; no sign of old rundown leftover .Fries where a perfect balance of crunch and softness.Thumbs down:Lomo was bitterly salty.Suggestion for chief:*Use rice vinegar instead of regular vinegar in your dishes.*Water down your soy sauce if not measuring.* Try Adding oyster sauce to your dishes that includes soy sauce. Oyster sauce will give a nice Smoky flavor.Will return to review in February.Best of luck

From my experience, this is a small, mom-and-pop style restaurant. I was very pleased with the ice cream, the service was excellent and the ceviche, nostalgic.

The food quality is amazing but I guess its best quality is that this little family business treats you like family, it like the more you go it kinda has a small town diner type charm to it.

We didnt like it. We are Peruvians with Peruvian family living in peru therefore we know the taste and the food was definitely NOT good. Only thing that was okayy was the chaufa de puerco. Bad thing about the chaufa de puerco was that it had a little too much soy sauce. The yuca a la huancaina was not good at all. No type of flavor actually had too much milk in it that you couldnt taste the cheese in it. Last but not least, the Aguadito wasnt even green at all and to top that off it was too spicy!! We try to give this place a chance since we like to see new places but Definitely NOT WORTH THE 1 & 45 MIN DRIVE WE TOOK.

The food have no flavor at all I found a hair in the food and last but not least food was cold and again no flavor 🥴

I went here with my husband during lunchtime and overall had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The prices were very reasonable too. Would come back if we were in the area again.

Had a nice meal there for lunch with my wife, food was good. Pretty standard peruvian food, but I would say the service and pricing of the meal were more of a highlight. Would definitely visit again!

This place is great, the food is excellent the prices are more than fare and the place it’s extremely clean. The owner is very polite and always making sure the customer is satisfied.

I love it here!! I order yuca a la huancaina y lomo saltado and it never disappoints! My hubby orders pollo a la brasa for himself the next day as well as for the dog and chaufa and he loves it! The small sauces it’s green and the red aji was so good we were given 3 of each and needed more♥️They speak spanish and English which was nice although I speak it and understand it I prefer my primary language English so it was nice being able to speak in English . It was so good thag I’m thinking about going back tomorrow! The best part is how cheap they are we ordered 4 things for only $40 and the portions are tremendous I love it and will definitely give it a 5/5

If you are a foodie and like to try new foods this place is great . Melissa works up front & is very knowledgeable & helpful with any questions & menu selections. Her husband works in the kitchen cooking. Food quality is excellent & the portions are huge, I usually have enough for two meals. Can’t recommend enough, Allentown needs more diverse restaurants like this. Also Melissa is very helpful in guiding you in menu selections if you have any questions. Support this family run business. I have gotten take out3 or 4 times and have never been disappointed.

Really great quality food ,with taste you cant stop yourself from eating .

Only because zero stars is not an option. They took chicken out of the fridge, microwaved it and then served it to us. We complained the chicken was cold, so they took it back and put it back in the microwave. Then served it to us again. Even if the chicken were fresh, it is easily the worst peruvian chicken Ive ever had.

The food is tasty, although mine’s was salty and I have to say that it was not the most authentic Peruvian food I have tasted. Another thing I highly dislike is when you go to a restaurant, and certain staple items are limited and extra is an additional charge. For example, el ají verde. A green Peruvian salsa. They weren’t liking that I kept asking for more (since they come in a small little containeruntil they finally told me that this is an extra cost. Not pleased. But check it out. Worth a try.

I love the service there. The lady that works there is wonderful. They should add more foods on their menu 🙂

Definitely a family run feel, which was really nice. Our waitress was really sweet and explained the different items since we mentioned we were newbies. I had the Pollo A La Brasa - it was excellent. Very tender and excellently seasoned.

We tried Peruvian food for the first time so we didnt have any expectations. We were pleasantly surprised at the how flavorful it was. we had the Las brasas chicken and a steak dish. Very flavorful. Their homemade hot sauces are awesome. The portions were big and service was friendly and attentive. we will definitely be going back.

Clean place great service food ok

The lomo saltado was fantastic! The steak, vegetables, and potatoes were cooked to perfection. The rice was also cooked just right. The portion size was enormous, especially when you consider the price. I think youd be hard-pressed to find better Peruvian food at this price point. The photo attached is what was left over after I had already eaten my fill.

Beautiful place...very clean. Food was ok. Doesnt represent Peru as it should in cuisine. The soup aguadito was so bland so was the fried rice. The grilled chicken was good. Ill go back but will not order any Peruvian dishes. Just there salads and grilled chicken. If you are Peruvian and know about food you will know what I mean. Food came out quick after we ordered. I gave them 3 stars because the place is beautifully decorated and its impeccable!

The food is very tasty and a refreshing change from the norm. It can be a bit spicy but not to a painful degree. Lol. Be brave. The pork tacos are excellent along with the two sandwiches we tried.

Amazing. The staff was so friendly and the food is spectacular, especially the yuca fries. It came ridiculously fast, would definitely eat here again!

I love Peruvian food and am so excited this place has opened. I was worried that itd be disappointing, but it is everything I would want in Peruvian food. I love the green sauce! If youve never had Peruvian before, this is the place to try it.

Just delicious, freshly made food in a casual atmosphere. Huge portions, and run by really nice people. The Lomo Saltado is amazing, served with French fries and rice - how can you go wrong?

Good portions, well priced and appeasing to the palate. Definitely try their exotic fruit flavored ice cream.

The food was excellent and the server was kind and courteous an very friendly. If you love Peruvian food then this is the place to be. I will go again and again .

Amazing food, very fresh and big variety, Also awesome homemade desserts. I got to try the sweetpotato cheesecake one and was amazingly good fair prices very friendly and portions are big!! I fell in love with it!! I will recommend 100% and will totally go again

I heard about a Peruvian restaurant opening soon!! Well I made it, the place looks really nice, The service was great, the lady and the lady owner were very nice, the guy owner needs to be a little bit friendly, it’s ok... next time don’t demand for your customer to seat upfront . The food was good, it just needs a little kick but definitely better than other places, yes I’m going back 👍
