Lanzhou Noodles in Nottingham

Hands down the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Notts. The soup, meat, and noodles perfectly cooked and served exactly how they do in China. 12/10, will visit again!

I love this little noodle shop, a good location, right at the centre of Nottingham, and you could have authentic handmade noodles. I mean, what more could you ask for! This is my go to noodle shop at the weekend, staffs are quite friendly as well.

Super noodles made fresh. I think these guys have changed names to Notts Noodles? Quick service. Wantons are made of beef without prawn filling which i found a bit odd but very tasty. The beef noodles are probably the speciality so go for those. Would defo come again.

Sensational. Missed the first original beef noodles from 2019 to 2022. Elated this has reopened. Best cheap eats food in Notts, bar none.

Came here on a hunch and boy was I glad really enjoyed eating here with friends lady and gentleman were nice and explained what some dishes had we ordered and the food for the money you pay is really good 👍

Quiet little restaurant. Must be a well kept secret or something as the noodles are extremely good. My 5 year old daughter, who is a particular eater, loves eating these types of noodles. She had no issue eating this and wasnt happy when her mom took some out of her bowl. Speaking of which, these are pretty big servings. I could barely finish mine.

This place is now open with a different name but has the same menu as before. Tasty beef noodle soup at a reasonable price and homely atmosphere. Glad it’s reopened after the pandemic.

Definately one of the top restaurants in Nottingham. Authentic Chinese beef noodles that are pulled to order. Totally delicious and filling. Its also very cheap at £7.50 for a huge portion before it closed temporarily. I used to go once or twice per week. Please re-open as soon as possible even for take out only. This is a must visit place.

Please please please reopen... these were amazing noodles, nothing else in Notts comes near, and only one place Ive been to in London can even compare. I ate here at least twice a week when they were open. Highest quality hand made home-cooked noodle soup. Puts Wagamama and others to shane

Simple pricing structure but incredible food! All the main meals are £7.50 (you can get extras like fried dough or added meat if you wantand you get a really nice bowl of fresh noodle soup for the price.When I say fresh I really mean it, you can watch the chef pulling the noodles youre about to eat! Once theyre done theyll be added to your broth along with the meat (vegetable option also availableand other accompaniments.I ordered original beef noodles and the result was absolutely delicious. The fresh noodles are on another level to what Id had before - the taste is entirely different to what you get from dried instant noodles, Chinese takeaway, even expensive Asian restaurants. Ive never experienced anything quite like it; theyre really nice. The broth is good as well, plenty of flavour. l added a couple of spoons-ful of the soy chili oil available on the table to give it a bit of a kick.The meat tasted like fairly low quality beef which had been cooked until beautifully tender. Full of flavour, succulent and exactly what youd hope to be served with a bowl of noodle soup.The restaurant used to be cash only but at some point theyve added a card reader so you dont need to worry about bringing cash any more.

Perfect every time. The family that runs the shop are lovely too. Cant wait to see you guys open again. Love the food, my favourite place to go.

The food is amazing!!! They make the noodles fresh while you Wait and the youtiao is delicious!! The staff are so nice and welcoming.And to the English folk reading this don’t expect to be waited on and don’t be a Karen!! Go to Wagamamas if you’re a Karen!

Doesnt look anything special, its menu and service are limited BUT its a little gem. Hand pulled noodles in homemade broths. Fab! Just dont forget to bring cash.

What a gem this little place. This was the first time I tried Chinese beef noodles and the bar is definitely set high. Great quality food for even better price and the staff is really friendly too.

Excellent spicy chicken noodles & oily chilli noodles! You can see them being made fresh. The egg and chive dumplings were really tasty too.

The best Lanzhou noodles Ive ever had. You see them being pulled, you eat them, job done. Incredible. Tasty beef with quality broth (I saw another review which questioned the time its cooked for, defs plus 20 hrs I think). Nice small menu so there is no confusion over your order, save that faff for another day.

The best noodles Ive ever had, the Oil Spicy Noodles are incredible, the heat depends on the day but everytime its so tasty, the fried dough thing they sell on the counter is great to mop up the chili oil!

This place is wonderful. I take my wife here and I couldnt imagine making this place a better noodle shop. Fresh Cilantro and all other ingredients. Its cash only, and I forgot my card... and they told me "were all family here" and didnt embarrass me. They served me lunch and I will never forget their kindness and trust to pay them the next day. Kudos my friends.

Good beef noodles at a reasonable price. Chili very spicy so be careful how much you add. Would be even better if they had the option of pho type of noodles in addition to ramen.

Can’t believe we found an authentic Lanzhou hand pulled noodles in Nottingham. It’s Cash only and self service, but the noodles were freshly made and tasted so good! Recommend this to anyone who wants quick, delicious and authentic Lanzhou hand pulled noodles.解馋！好吃！

Beat noodles in the East Midlands. Traditional strenched noodles in a fantastic beef broth. Recently renovated, their venue is very bright and clean. They may have a small menu, but the food they serve is great and thats really all that matters.

My daughter and her friends are great fans of Lanzhou Noodles so I was eager to try it out when I was up visiting. It did not disappoint. Fast service and freshly made noodles. What more could you want.

Great noodles, more than delicious, the vegan option was so tasty. Basic cafe, clean, can see chef cooking, no frills just good food at a very reasonable price.

This was simple food cooked well, the noodles are made on the premises and were nice. There are only 6 menu items and I had my noodles served in a bowl of broth with some very tender beef. It was pleasant but rather bland until I added the Chinese vinegar and chilli oil that were on the table!

Lived in Beijing for a year... By far the most authentic Xiao chi little Chinese canteen Ive ever been into. Gorgeous food 👍👍

Dont expect great service or even English, but do expect delicious food. Personally I like everything except the tomato and egg dish, the oily spicy noodles are the best!

Absolutely loved it here, they make their own noodles fresh in front of you. The portions are massive and the food is tasty. There are only about 7 items to pick from in the menu but they are all executed really really well. Its not a romantic or intimate place, and the decor is sparse, but what it lacks in style inlt makes up for in flavour and sharp fast service. Would 100% recommend and return.

Eaten here twice. Freshly made noodles are very good but soup base is flavourless - no 20-hour pork broth here. Large portions, quick service and price is OK at £7 for bowl of noodles and a drink.

The food was nice: its well priced and the food is brought to you in good time. Overall its a lovely place you can go to casually and enjoy.
