Lantzville Village Pub in Nanaimo

The Lantzville Pub: A century old classic pub, but without all the saloon behaviour. This place has great food, complimented by ocean views and a recently overhauled small town main street. The service is fantastic. Live music every now and then rounds out the experience.

Really cozy atmosphere especially the patio with heaters on a brisk September evening. Service was great and the food comes out so fast you can hardly sip your drink before it arrives and thespeed doesnt mean a skimp on quality everything was perfect and great prices too!

I always pass by this place, but today I finally got to try out the food. The pub is located in a bedroom community north of Nanaimo. It has great views from its patio of the waters. However its plus 30, so we opted to go inside where its air conditioning. Both the patio or inside offer a lot of table space. We came on a Thursday afternoon, so the crowd was just enjoying the afternoon sun and beers.My friend ordered the clubhouse ($18and beer ($5.50). I went with the pork schnitzel ($20and pop ($2.50). The clubhouse my friend ordered was very good and the beer was nice and cold. My pork schnitzel was outstanding with a nice gravy and mushroom sauce. It was cooked well and tasted wonderful. The mash potatoes and steam vegetables were good, but I would like spaetzle and pickled cabbage. Still I quite enjoyed it.I believe they have a happy hour special from 2-5 pm, which we missed. The server was nice and the food came out quick. For an older building they did a great job making the washroom nice and clean. The dining area has air conditioning and the table and chair was good. I would definitely recommend and return again.

Really nice views of the sea from this sports pub. They also try to have live music often. Their food is really good in comparison to other pubs in the area.

When you just do not want to cook and need a place that serves good food and drink. It also has a great view of the ocean.

The burger I had (the "extra" one, not the plainwas really fantastic.I wasnt expecting much from this place, it was a random stop on the road and the only thing open on a Sunday when my party needed lunch. The buns were absolutely top notch, great flavour to the patty, good toppings. Im sitting at a Bin 4 in Victoria with my partner lamenting over how much better our burgers at the Lantzville Pub were, so I thought that warranted a review! Go. Get the fancy burger.

Terrific food, friendly and professional service in a lovely location.

We found this place via Google search. They happen to have live band the day we went, it was packed but we managed to get a table. Due to short staff in kitchen, they had last call at 8:30pm that day so hours may not be the same everyday, better check before you go if you go late.The portion is generous and delicious for both dishes we had: fully loaded burger and pork schnitzel.

My girlfriend and I were there just the other day as we hadnt been in a while. I had the pulled pork on a bun with salad and she had one of their large special salads with chicken. My pulled pork was delicious, came hot and well seasoned. My friends salad was a meal in itself with all the extras like cheese and garlic bread fingers. We also shared a piece of their carrot cake for dessert! Delicious!The view was beautiful as you can see the ocean and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this establishment if your looking for somewhere different to eat!

We often go here on a date night, but this Saturday they out did themselves. Wonderful rib eye dinner. Thank you all staff

Straightforward unfussy pub food. Kind servers. If you sit near the front of the restaurant you’ll score a lovely ocean view.

Fantastic service, good selection of taps for a small pub, and solid eats. The (Baja stylefish tacos are bang on!The ambiance is always very friendly, but its definitely one of the more sleepy pubs Ive been to. This shouldnt come as a massive shocker, considering the population of Lantzville, but just be aware that this really is a village pub.

It was quite busy when my daughter and I arrived but the staff was very attentive and the food was very good! The fish tasted fresh and the pork schnitzel was absolutely wonderful. We will be coming back soon :)

Disappointed in how the servers addressed seniors in placing them quickly in a convenient table. Instead, they took new people coming in and made them wait to be given a table. When they were finally seated, the servers disappeared without even leaving a menu for them to look at. When they finally showed up with a menu, they made us feel like we were imposing on their time.

Really friendly staff and delicious well priced food. I met with a friend and the waitress was so kind and let us hangout and chat well past finishing our dinner without us feeling pressured to leave. Will definitely be back!!!

Cute spot with an amazing view. Nice staff. Would appreciate a wider beer selection but happy that they had a couple local selections.

Good fish and chips. Staff are nice. I tried their bacon poutine and was quite impressed. I dont i think its on the menu but you can ask for it.I would would recommend for pub food.

The servers here were excellent! Music was low enough that we could socialize. Nice selection of drinks and food. Prices were reasonable. We had such a good time.

Our first time and we will be back. The buns on the beef dip was the BEST! The mini apple pie was worth the wait! Good job by great staff!

Great pub lunch today. Decent selection of beers on tap; ours was perfectly chilled. Many items on menu; we shared fish tacos (codand quesadillas (with fries & guacamole- all served fresh and tasty. Friendly, attentive service even though peak time on Sunday.

The food was good. Got in at happy hour time for some cheap appys. Its a bit on the priceyer side. But from what we ordered, it was worth it.Great view!!! But the day we went it was windy, and so it was pretty drafty infront of the open door. But worth it for the view! Servers were very friendly. Fast service. We cant wait to go back.

Decent location and views, but not overly impressed by the menu or service.The spicy maple wings were okay, but the waitress left us one napkin between the two of us, and did not address the fact that we only ate 2 out of 6 of the white prawns (because they were cold and the sauce tasted store-boughtwhen she returned with our bill.

Very Homey, the food is well prepared the the waitresses are true ladies offering service with a smile and politeness and never pestering you whether you like the food or not. The pub is clean and bright with a large wrap around deck and big windows looking out over the water and the sunshine coast. Five stars!

First timer went for lunch. Venue was clean and inviting. We were taken to our table promptly. We were asked if we wanted something from the bar and menus were given. There were plenty of staff to look after the Sunday lunch crowd. Fish and chips and the pub burger again served promptly. Both were cooked to perfection. The house Ali sauce in the burger was great. Great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Wonderful staff. They had the patio set up nicely with dividers between tables and each at a propane Heater. The view was wonderful. The food was so good thst we only have empty plates to show lol

Friendly pub with great service and food. We sat out on the patio since it was a hot day and had the fish n chips and the pork schnitzel which were both really good.The restroom was really clean it didnt seem like a pubs.
