Good food and wine, wonderful štrukle, friendly staff.

Great food at a reasonable price. The steak was delicious and tender and the truffle pasta was great. The desert strudel was amazing. Drinks were top notch and the service was excellent.

Place is really nice and elegant, food was good, a lot of vegetarian options as well. I had just one soup and two sides instead of a main, it was all delicious and very filling. It was our last night in Zagreb so we had to try the sweet struckli as a dessert, they were simply amazing. A little expensive but worth it.

Great dinner here, delicious food and a nice wine list. Beef with mushroom sauce highly recommended, and the roast pumpkin was super tasty. Service was also excellent, relaxed but attentive.

The best Place to eat in Zagreb with a great staff. We do it every year and the quality of the foods are always perfect.

Food might be good but no dogs? Even outside ? Cmon its 2022 people travel with pets. Obviously you dont mind losing customers

Very good restaurant. Definitely something to recommend if you want to have a great experience. Food was very nice, we had some pasta and a steak (it was slightly overdone but still delicious). Very nice ambience and atmosphere. Waiters know their job, we got a really great wine recommendation... just to the point. Service here is awesome and very friendly!

Really happy with my experience in this restaurant. The service was really nice i had a fish which was cooked with rather unusual and interesting way but it was really tasty. They also have their own type of beer which was great as well.

We went on our last night in Zagreb. We took the cheese strudel, beef cheeks, ribeye with roast potatoes and pumpkin. We also took desert strudel with blueberries. Everything was so delicious and the service and the waiters were impeccable and very nice. Will surely visit again if we get the chance to go to Zagreb again.

Been at the restaurant couple of years ago and it was ok so I was surprised that after my last weeks visit the quality of food deteriorated. The ambient is great, service is good BUT food is totally blend and not a good value for money because portions are small. Food is logically the most important reason why someone visits restaurants anywhere anytime. Lanterna unfortunately fails at delivering good food. Too bad :(

Despite plenty empty table we were told at 14am there fully booked for lunch. We have read before tourists are not welcome here … well we can only confirm. To bad guess we spend our money somewhere else.

We visited this restaurant during Tjedan restorana. The menu was interesting, and tasty. Unfortunately, it looked like it was written by a 10-year old.The soup was a little bit bland, it missed salt. The other food (gnocchi with turkey, and swordfish with sweet potatowas very tasty and had a nice texture.The service is quick and friendly. Too bad that the terrace didnt work, altough the weather was nice.

The atmosphere, food and service are very nice. Worthy to come. Also it is worthy for good price.I ordered sea bass for main dish, fish was fresh, soft and seasoning was well-balanced. If you have important guests. This restaurant is where you can come with them.

Had a wonderful lunch here, guys were super nice, super helpful and food was really good. If you are in doubt go for truffle pljukanci and dont miss štrukla by any chance. There is plethora of local wines and decent selection of local craft beers.

Great but probably too much food. Relaxed atmosphere. Wifes meal was ok but lacked a sauce for the gnocci. I had the ham platter for starters would be better for sharing

If you are visiting Zagreb I recommend it to taste the local food. Its what se locals eat. Good quality and price. The staff is very welcoming. Its a must.

This is a cozy and friendly family owned restaurant with the nicest people we met on our 10 day trip to Croatia.The owner is super friendly and he helps with suggestions on the menu. He also told us some facts and history about the restaurant and kindly showed us the basement which we asked to see (we read in a guide that the restaurant had oneand we were not disappointed, it was beautiful! The food was also very good.We enjoyed it so much that we came back at night just to say goodbye and we were still greeted very happily even though it was near their closing time. This family works with passion and they make sure you have a good time!I wish them the best and I hope to visit them again if we ever go back to Zagreb in the future and will definetely recommend it to any friends that go to Zagreb on vacations.

I have been in Zagreb for more than one week and this was the best dinner restaurant I have seen! The Quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere have been excellent! Furthermore there was a romantic live singer in front of the restaurant, so my boyfriend and I could enjoy the beautiful Croatian music❤️

A great restaurant in the old town of Zagreb. The steak in green peppercorn sauce was great along with the wine. The staff was cool and friendly, they also allowed me to check out the 400 year old basement and told me the history. Must see!

One of the top 3 dinning experiences we’ve had in Zagreb! The waiter gave us great recommendations for what to eat and which wine would pair well with our food.It was a very hot evening so we decided to sit inside and the atmosphere was lovely - beautiful interior seating area!Would definitely go again if I came to Zagreb. The servers are very attentive and pleasant. I had the steak in green peppercorn sauce with roasted potatoes... Wow. It was just so good i dont know what else to say. And with the perfect wine pairing recommended by my server :)

The restaurant is warm and cozy and the staff is extremely friendly and prepared. Then it comes the food: simply delicious! Their dumplings, both in salty and sweet way, worth the visit. In any case let the staff guide you and you wont miss it!

Very tasty food, exceptional service and very polite. Prices nor expensive neither cheap. Totally recommend. I did not find anything better in that area.

Personalized Perfection! ... they make you familyWe were in Zagreb for a 3 day stay in September of 2018. We had dinner at a trendy modern place, an expensive international locale, and "the Lantern" ... This was by far our best experience and food!The owner welcomed us for a late lunch or early dinner. He was extremely gracious. He gave us insight into the history of the restaurant and the city. In between courses and complimentary drinks, we carried on conversations about Croatian sports and entertainment. I think we got invited to go watch football at his local bar. We also talked family; my Croatian ancestors and his daughter and her cousin sent home after school.The FOOD was excellent. Everything was light and decadent and perfectly timed. We savored the grilled vegetables and disrespected the mushroom gnocchi. Fabulous!Go enjoy the great food, great atmosphere, and great people ASAP!Oh yeah ... the signature stone ceiling was beautiful. Check that out too.

Laterna na Dolcu is a great restaurant with excellent staff! The main courses and side dishes are lovely and the deserts were great as well. If youre looking for high quality food and dont mind paying a little extra, this is the place to go!
