Lantern Bay Park in Dana Point

This park is beautiful and overlooking the Dana Point harbor! It is a great place to workout either by yourself or with a group class. There is often I heart yoga in the park and also bootcamp classes.

One of my top 3 spots in Dana point. Def one of my go tos when I need to Revv down and soak in Gods beautiful creation. Helps me to appreciate the simplicity of life and all I have to be thankful for. The views are breath taking and the cool breeze does wonders for my soul.Sometimes I will walk here in the morning as the sun breaks and it just takes my breath away (cue the Berlin song!).I plan to propose here to my future wife. Shhhh… don’t tell her ;lmao.Thankful for the spot. There is a decent bathroom and a few parking spots here. You can walk down to the beach or harbor from here and get ur steps in ;)

Very nice place for family picnic with kids and dogs. Weather changes pretty quickly so be prepared. Decent parking.

Pleasant spot for riding the bikes

Very nice park overlooking DanaPoint harbor with an outlook to the ocean. On clear days you may see Catalina Island. Nearby hotel, street parking and close by fast food, Starbucks, etc. Bring your barbecue and enjoy great moments with an excellent view.

Beautiful little piece of sky getting to overlook the marina while enjoying the breeze and none of the sand or the crowd. We got together and had a picnic for a 21s celebration. Will visit again.

Relaxing

The recently redid the playground and its fantastic. There are bathrooms, picnic tables, bbqs, and a large grass field. Ots walking distance to Doheny camp ground and beach.

Great spot for a picture perfect picnic above the harbor and one of the best places to learn to surf beaches in the world. Lantern Park sits right above Doheny State Beach and Dana Point Harbor with the best view of both locations. There is more than enough room for football games or get a little crazy with freesbie games.... They do have sand bocce ball courts and check out the "I heart yoga" website for scheduled outdoor yoga classes in the park grass. Tons of picnic tables, grills and public bathrooms open during the day....the free parking is decent below the hilltop, but it does fill up fast so get there early to reserve a spot. Have fun....we do!

The place is lovely however in your directions to neglect to say that after turning on to Dana Point Harbor, you should make an immediate right turn to get up to the park.

Beautiful park

Really nice place to share a socially distanced picnic with friends! Lots of grassy areas to lay a blanket down without being too close to other people in the park. Only downside is there were A LOT of ants.
