Takeaway coffee, breakfasts, Asian-tinged light lunches and weekend brunch in Australian-style cafe.
Great food, place is a bit small, which also has its charm !
Had a nice time at Lantana Cafe, but not sure it’ll be my go-to spot. The food was good - every dish tasted fresh and the portions were generous enough; the coffee was also good. The fair is standard Australian brunch, i.e., corn fritters or a hip take on the full English.Service was somewhat lacking - our table wasn’t ready when we arrived for our booking and we had to wait. The staff was not particularly enthusiastic, but at least didn’t hover. And we were given our check without asking for it well in advance closing time.In short, while the food was good and the place nicely designed, it lacks the hospitality I’d want to give it the full five stars. It is, however, a reliable brunch spot where we were able to get a table not too long in advance, and in London - that counts for something.
Good food. Awful service - 14% service charge which is ridiculous, even for central London. Far better places around Charlotte Street.
Came here on a busy Sunday afternoon. We decided to sit outside as we had no idea what to do. We were eventually served and had a nice coffee. The coffee is OK, pretty standard cafe coffee but nothing out of this world to be honest. The food, although we did not get looked absolutely incredible and the table next to us enjoyed theirs very much.Overall, nice but nothing crazy. Maybe just come for the food.Check out my profile for more coffee reviews
Really nice brunch spot with nice outdoor seating. A bit pricey but still very good quality. Everything we tried was very tasty!
If i could give it a 0 i would. 60 Euros for a Brekkie for 2... 100 AUD. The brekkie was pure rubbish. I had the bubble benedict and it came with 1 egg and no bread for 18 pounds 🤣🤣🤣 it says unlimited coffee with a brunch which is a lie as i was charged for every coffee. This place is overpriced while the food is a joke. Coffee was sour...A complete sham and avoid at all cost
Amazing service, great food. The place itself is warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend!
The food was amazing, especially the sourdough Avocado egg halloumi 💯Definitely coming back for lunch 😍
Found this place by accident — good (veganfood, nice staff, and aircon. Also can drink after you finish the meal. Will visit again.
Just had a great breakfast. This is my second time and they have won my loyalty. The waiter mustafa is polite and is doing a fantastic job. It’s definitely one of my favourite breakfast place.
We went early on Sunday morning when seats were still available. Great choice of breakfast/ brunch items and pir food was great!
Amazing food and nice place. Highly recommend for breakfast and brunch, Corn Fritters & Halloumi, big veg and smashed avocado all were good. The fried halloumi was ok. The big veg is only on the weekends menu.
Awesome. Vegan able though not dominate. Great baking.
Giving 5 stars to the waitress Vida! She was soo kind and sweet. My sister accidentally spilt her drink and she helped clean it up with no complaints and got her another drink on the house. Her service truly made our dining experience great
relaxing outdoor eating experience located in a small side street! Food was fun and the portions were quite large!
The service here is abysmal. I came here for bottomless brunch with my friends, the waitresses rarely filled up our glasses and our orange juice for the mimosa. When serving us, they forgot our sides, and then they charged us twice for them!! We didn’t notice as we were leaving in a rush. The waitresses never smiled at us and were not friendly at all. It’s a shame about the customer experience because the food was wonderful but none of us will return.
Came here with friends for the bottomless brunch. The food was good but they didn’t let us pour our own drinks which meant we didn’t get what we paid for. Additionally, they overcharged us on sides and were overall unpleasant.
I was expecting a better experience from Lantana, especially since they charge a service fee of 14 percent!
The place charged us for a few things we didnt even buy otherwise all good.
Lovely idea for a cafe, but not the best execution. Staff was calm and obliging, but not the friendliest. Fun vibe aesthetically, with music and clean decor. But whoever handles the making of espresso drinks needs a bit more training. Every cup was sour and under-extracted.
The place and products are great. However, you cannot enjoy them.. it has happened 3/3 during lunchtime to ask to seat for just a coffee and although I am warmly welcome to do so, half an hour later I have been said that the table is needed for people waiting for lunch. I get this for people who stay there for long time. It may be better though for your customers, to let them know the plan from the beginning because they may choose to not have a timed coffee there :Thanks
Would recommend booking! We managed to get in in between bookings though. The food is top-class (especially their corn frittersas is the coffee and other drinks. Serving size is perfect for brunch and its great to see so many vegetarian/vegan options
This cafe is over rated, its the least good food we had in London so far for breakfast, with the most expensive, dont waste your money. Poke bowl is tastless, the duck confit doesnt taste good and very salty, we left it as is. Desserts are good. Tables are sticky and uncomfortable, its too cold inside, green juices are good, however half of the glass is ice, when you remove ice, its half filled with juice. Will not return back or recommend.
Really great food - would book ahead as it gets quite busy. I would definitely recommend the duck hash. Few points of improvement - the coffee is far too strong and bitter (I’m saying that as someone who enjoys strong coffeeand also the seating against the wall inside is very short and uncomfortable to sit on for more than 30 mins (i’m not particularly tall so it would be more uncomfortable for someone who had longer legs).
Delicious place for both brunch or lunch! With many healthy options, including vegan and vegetarian. Strongly recommended!
Very nice place to get a brunch and nice cup of coffee.Ordered a latte, leans towards the nutty side I’d say; really enjoyed it.As for food, I’ve got the avocado poke ball, personally like it very much because of the short flavours, the sesame dressing works well and the black rice are good too.Plus service overall are great, will be back.
Delicious fresh food, we struggled to decide what to have, we wanted it all! I was very happy with my cheddar and courgette bread with bean salad, poached egg and chorizo. Then we all shared an apple and pear cinnamon French toast ☺️🍳😋
Great place to go for brunch. Would recommend booking in advance on the website to get a table. Lots of cute outdoor seating on a pedestrian only street. Lots of good menu options with half the options being vegetarian. Food is well seasoned- overall a nice spot!
Good for weekend brunch with close friends! The oat matcha latte and elderflower cake were pretty good though portions were quite small. The mains were mostly fushion with lots of veggies that actually taste quite good. I’d recommend the Indonesian fried rice with kimchi and shredded chicken; cozy environment downstairs with a large table that could comfortably sit 7 or 8 - save for after COVID!
Very good salad, not a boring taste, it is a fusion salad mixed with kind of Thai, Korean, British style. I am impressed. Luckily we had the “eat out to help out” half price, originally around £12~£14 for each plate, is a bit pricey for me but still worth to try!
Delicious and cosy place for breakfast or brunch! Siting available in and outside. Main dishes are in affordable price but the sides like spinach are just slightly to expensive for what you get.
Great breakfast! Delicious, unusual and reasonably priced. A great find. The homemade hummus had a few chilli flakes - and coriander seeds? - to add spiciness and the green sprouts added a surprising burst of flavour. A really well balanced dish - flavours and textures.Small and friendly. Quick service.
As a big fan of porridge, i can safely say Lantana’s porridge was the one that ruled them all! You can never go wrong with this tasty filling bowl of oats. The place was quite cramped and small but that only adds to the fact of how cosy and comfortable it is, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and their coffee was not ordinary either!
The duck hash is amazing! Lovely atmosphere and the smoothies are really yummy, so fresh unlike some others I have tried. A must for breakfast :)
Delicious duck hash , solid coffee but the French toast more tiramisu then French toast - cute cosy place that I will come back to
What a fantastic find! After making the mistake of not booking at our the place we planned on visiting we walked in and were served right away at Lantana Cafe. Small but lovely cafe with a cozy feel and the menu had so many things that sounded delicious. In the end I went for the duck hash and it was great! Large portion of duck and the flavors were killer. Also had my first turmeric chai latte which was delicious. For a rainy London day this was a lovely place to enjoy a great meal and catch up with old friends.
Our favorite place for breakfast. All dishes we had were very good. The standard English breakfast options were also excellent!
Stumbled upon this place while exploring Fitzrovia. Its tucked nicely in a laneway and the exterior looks inviting for us to enter. The server was nicely however their espresso cake didnt fair too well. I couldnt quite taste the espresso from the cake and it was a tad too dry. Their dirty chai latte felt weak that truly disappointed me. Yet to try the food here.. will do some day and review once again.
Small and tightly packed but lovely atmosphere. Really different food. Great for a Sunday Brunch. Had Expresso Martini and wild mushrooms on Sourdough with a poached egg. Delightful and very delicious.
Fantastic brunch options and juices. Great for large group to sit outside if weather permits. Both savoury and sweet options are tasty.
Hipsterish place with huge prices.Definetelly reconsider the place you would like to have breakfast. The waiters are not carefull, as it happend to us, and can easily forget about your order. You can’t complain by not giving tip because tip is included in the bill. The food was mediocre, almost garbage, but the prices were 20-25% higher then any other decent place in London.I went especially to this place to try their food and I was completely dissapointed by it and by their attitude since breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and they screwd it big time.In pictures the persons responsible for the bad service. Be aware at these guys.
Hidden away from the buzzy main streets, this is a great place for a breakfast or brunch. When I got there early Saturday afternoon, the place was full, but luckily they had a table for me. I tried the wild mushrooms on sourdough toast with poached egg and white bean hummus. Food was delicious, though the egg was slightly overcooked - but maybe Im one of the few people who like the yolk a bit runny :Other than that, it was a great experience.
Excellent food, good service, good coffee. I think its overly priced but then again it might be the neighborhood / area... I believe that those who come on their own (say, with laptop or bookwould find the place very welcoming. Just ensure your budget is right :)
All 4 adults and 3 kids had delicious brunch options on Sunday morning. Arrive early as it gets busy. Staff were friendly. Not a fan of the drip coffee, everything else makes up for that.
Wonderful cafe to have brunch. It gets really busy on the weekend and is quite small. Staff are really helpful and friendly and explain any part of the menu as necessary.I went with a group of friends and we were seated at the back, the food was so delicious, the ingredients they use taste fresh and the menu is quite creative.
Really good coffee (and I’m hard to pleaseColourful, fresh, delicious vegetarian salad which was flavourful with different textures, tastes and temperatures. The service was quick and friendly. It’s a bustling vibe with good soundtrack. The only downside for me is I would feel bad taking up a table for too long. So perhaps not a cafe to read at or work from. At least perhaps not at peak times
Good breakfast place with interesting food and strong coffee. We had the duck hash (with a grilled halloumiand coconut french toast.
Delicious coffee, cake and duck & sweet potato salad. Had a short 15 wait for a table but was well worth it. Will be back for sure.
I had their Smashed Avocado on a weekday since I originally thought French Toast was offered, but the french toast is a brunch item available on weekends only. The Smash Avocado was an exciting taste for my taste buds. Very new and light. Loved it!!!
Another delicious brunch place 😍The duck and sweet potato hash was amazing and I really enjoyed the courgette bread as well. The service was attentive, if not very quick. Much recommended!
