Landerik in Ljubljana

We enjoyed the 7-course tasting menu. The dishes were creative and flavorful, and the service was more than competent. There are some opportunities for improvement as well.The music was very strange, 1970s playlist that was too loudly present and inappropriate for the setting. It was just odd.The lighting is harsh, way too bright. If dimmed a bit and if the track lighting was also used, it would provide much nicer atmosphere.The acoustics make it easy to hear everything that is happening at the other tables. For this reason, the server should vary the description of the dishes as they come out because the exact same script is repeated over and over again to each table being served.There were times when a place and utensils were preferred but not available. Eating bread with no plate creates crumbs, which I dont want on the table for the remainder of the meal. The amuse bouche deserved a plate as well, rather than being served on a shared plate.The hallway to the WC is cluttered with chairs, which should be moved elsewhere.Having the option of carafes of water rather than only expensive bottled water would be considerate.These are suggestions for improvements. But the experience was enjoyable and the setting very nice.

Food was nice and well presented, accompanied by good and friendly service. Just felt it was lacking a bit of the it factor for the price you’re paying.

Amazing culinary experience in the heart of Ljubljana.... Truly well worth a visit!

This is a lovely place with great localy sourced food. The place looks amazing and offers inside an otside tables. The service is superb. There is no menu which is great as they really know how to put all the tastes together in a great story. Just pick how hungry you are haha :it was lovey!! Wine was great, i loved every dish and the dessert was really really good. I recommend this place to anyone looking for some fine dining in the city center. Worth every penny.

We are a group of 8 (4 couples). Loving our time in Ljubljana! Stumbled upon Landerik and were grateful they could take our large group for Sunday eve. Tasting menu only. Choose 3 to 11 courses. We chose the 5 course (60 euwith wine tasting (25 eu). Every bite from the amuse-bouche to the dessert were incredibly delicious! Kept getting better and better! Andraz was friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines! Landerik ahould be on the best restaurant list for Ljubljana! We had such a wonderful experience! And so inexpensive!

We had the most amazing dinner here. The service is on a level of a Michelin Star restaurant as well as the food. We lived the concept that everything from plates to ingredients & wines was sourced from Slovenia. Would highly recommend having dinner here. The secret dessert was out of this world!!

Delicious 3-courses lunch (+ appetizer and mignardisefor 22€ in the center of Ljubljana with fresh and local products. Sacha was super nice and helpful, thanks for the amazing moment.

It was absolutely delightful from the moment we stepped in. Our server, Sasha was great and the food was sensational! The best part of the meal was schomorren. If you want to try the best schomorren not just in Ljubljana but in your life, this is the place to go

The whole dinner was a fantastic experience. Professional service, high quality ingredients and creative dishes that tasted very good. Fairly pricey but worthy for what you get if you want something a bit extra. Highly recommended! :)

We had the 7 course menu and 2h30m after we had tried only 4 of them. The service was really slow even though the two people serving was doing their best. Two people for Salk the tables in such type of restaurant are not enough.The dishes were good but not exceptional and definitely not reflecting their reputation or prices. The main ingredients were tasty but not something I will remember

It’s an ok value for money. The food was good but not really exceptional (my main course - veal - was for instance below average). The service was ok but not what you would expect from reading the other reviews. We waited 20 minutes just to get greeted and receive the menu… all in all it was a good evening and really an ok value for money but you will notice what is missing to get a Michelin star (and not only recommendation).

So I was here and a had 5-course lunch, amazing food and wine, all locally Slovenian produced. The single best potato dish I have ever had, and I am from north Europe ;)Best part was it was not bedst dish :DService, my waiter Sasha (hope I spelled it correctlymanager to have time and complete service for me in 1,5 hour, willed being at a busy restaurant alone. Excellent service:)I can only recommend this place.

Restaurant never responded to me about making a reservation, but a local friend was able to secure a table. Server was rude, and even worse he was sick. Coughing everywhere. Food was presented well but not very tasty. I know they change the menu often but that may also make it difficult to perfect dishes. Wine choices were nice. I was not encouraged to do wine pairing because I was told it was a full glass of wine with each course and that seemed too much with 5 courses. Service was efficient. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot, even though the outdoor temperature was mild. There was not air circulation. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but none of us enjoyed this meal.

Visited 24.07.2022: An extraordinary experience. We found about restaurant ahead of our visit, so we kinda knew what we can expect. We were here during lunch time, when you can choose menu by number of dishes. After entrance waiter welcomed us warmly, let us sit and started to guide us thru different options and also told us about the restaurant concept of using mainly local products. We went both for 3 dishes menu, where you could choose your main dish (meat / fish). We got amuse bouche, soup, main dish, dessert and a biscuit when we ordered coffee. No need to explain that every single dish was something else. Every singe item was handled to perfection. I really liked the fact that waiter told us about every dish, because myself I maybe would not be able to recognize and therefore appreciate everything. To drink we had very good local white wine, water and later coffee. Everything was simply perfect. Price was also a surprise - for all weve eaten and experienced here, it wasnt expensive at all! I highly recommed everyone to save some time while being in the city and go to this outstanding restaurant!

I planned to visit this restaurant prior to getting to Ljubljana as it was recommended by Michelin, and I can see why.I arrived for lunch, where they have a 3 course lunch for 22 euros, with the selection of meat, fish or vegetarian for the main course.This 3 courses change each day, therefore, there is no written menu showing the courses, so the waiters inform you of what the offering is for the day. They have a great amount of knowledge of the food which is nice to see.All three courses, and the amuse bouche, were amazing, some of the best food I have had, and I believe it is sourced locally. The meal was also a perfect size, not too filling, but enough to not feel hungry after.The environment is very relaxed, the music had a great selection and the interior was modern and clean.

Amazing restaurant in Lublijana! The food was so tasty and beautifully presented and the staff was also really friendly! We didnt know what to expect when we visited but the whole experience was really nice! We had the 3 course lunch menu with fish and chicken and everything tasted great!

First of all, we love the concept of using regional ingredients and to make traditional food and spice it up. But here is the point: The courses are for the most part too weakly seasoned and partly almost tasteless. We had hoped for a lot and are therefore quite disappointed, especially considering the bill of over 200€ for 2 people. We will refrain from a repeat visit.

Doesn’t deliver on it’s promise. The restaurant looks really nice, also the plates are design, but the sophistication of the food is just not there. The ingredients are all of good quality but for 155 euro for 2 persons, a starter of 2 asparagus tips with 2 drips of mayonaise is expensive. There are many places in Ljubljana that are cheaper and serve more developed flavours.

One of the best food I have ever tried. Really very nice ambient and people. Our waitress Saša was just amazing as everything else in Landerik. 10/10 i would recommend to tourists visiting Ljubljana and also to local people. ☺️👏

Came for the lunch menu at 14:30.Greetings from the kitchen were interesting and tasty served with fresh bread. We chose the fish menu and were satisfied at any level. Great starter soup, main course and also tasty desert coupled with a good italian tasting espresso. All of that for a very reasonable price.

We were lucky to get a walk-in table for lunch. We didn’t realise this was a real gem when we first walked past. Absolutely delicious elevated dishes, using local produce. Great local wine. Great service. Also at lunch they had a fantastic set menu deal. Highly recommend!

We came upon this restaurant for lunch and had a lovely meal outside. Our waitress was very friendly (despite our sore lack of ability to speak Sloveneand the food was delicious! We especially liked the cheese and prosciutto selections. The wine options, including natural options local to Slovenia, were also appreciated. We will be back when we return to the city!

I enjoy the 3 course lunch. Food and service were good. Modern take on traditional food using local products. Nice interior, modern but comfortable.

Landerik offers and supports local production. Some of the tableware is made by Slovenian potters. I liked the interior design, the servers, the wine list, but the food… I found it lacking. We opted for the 5 course menu, and the only thing worth mentioning is the dessert. But in all honesty, how wrong can you go with a schmarren?

Oh this was a fantastic start in 2022. We reserved for the new years dinner and got the pleasure to eat there. The waiter was a really nice guy and the ambiente was totally fine. This 8 course dinner was really nice for the eye and nice for you mouth. We had a great experience there and the time theyre planned in to finish the dinner right for the new year was also excellent. Were looking forward to visit this place at our next trip to Ljubljana. 🙋‍♂️

We enjoyed a truly wonderful evening at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I chose to eat here in our one night in Ljubljana. We had 4 and 5 course tasting selections. The food was phenomenal. The tastes were reminiscent of childhood favorites while hitting multiple notes on our palates. Each dish was carefully created and plated beautifully. I asked the waiter for a cocktail suggestion and he gave me this one. Pretty sure it was nectar of the gods because it was delicious. Everyone spoke English and was extremely welcoming. A wonderful evening in a beautiful city.

Very good food, nice atmosphere and service. Very soft, gentle and subtle flavours, fresh ingredients and elegant serving. Rather small portions and high prices but definitely worth trying.

Simply: wow! It has been a true experience to eat here. It was a rainy day and we were recommended this restaurant by our tourguide Klemen. The waiter who served us was divine, he has so much knowledge about the food and wine which he served us. He let me try an orange wine which was so unique I had to give it a try! We choose the set menu for lunch and were not disappointed. Not only were we the perfect amount of full but also extremely satisfied. The ingredients fit together so well, I take my hat off for the chef, well done.

Just fantastic! Great, friendly and professional service, top notch modern cooking with 99% local ingredients. Great balance in everything and interesting twists. Very nice presentation of the dishes too. The local wine selection is fantastic as well! Dont miss this spot if youre a foodie!

Stylish interior, excellent service. We just stepped by for a coffee, it was beautifully served and tasty. When the waiter noticed we were tourists, he was happy to give us some advice about the city.

The food was good but is not worth of money. In my opinion you can find a place with a better food and more tradicional food for the same money. They do traditional food on the cool, modern way.

This was just great. Simply great. And i mean it. I am a person who have pretty high standarda for good food, and this was riht on point. We ate the 5 course meni and everything was peeeerfect. The soup vas 4 stars, so still really good, but everything else was just wow. And ofcourse the service was exquisite (thank you Žan!Highly reccomend!

The restaurant is new and very nice decorated. The staff is very friendly. If you ask them more about food, drinks and also abaut inventory they will have the answer. The food was very tasty and beautifully decorated.The portions are small but the flavors are great.The prices are a little more exspensive but it s worth it.Once again i would praised the waiters which were really great and i really felt like a quest which is very rare in Ljubljana these days. I highly recommend a visit to a resturant located in old Ljubljana.

This yearss new addition to Ljubljanas gourmet selection offers nice and well thought internal design with high quality service and tasty design food.We were party of 7 and have decided to go for 5 gourmet menus, 1 vegetarian option and 1 ala cart selection.Start with mushroom-nuts soup has been a nice treat. Followed by smooth and tasty beef tartare as a cold and ricotta...risotto made of barley... for warm starter.Mains were either beef cheeks on top of polenta or sea bass.For desert 2 typs of "kaiser schmaren" a local type of pastry based on crepes dough.All in all very tasty and perfectly displayed food and superb service. From price point a bit on the higher end ... a bit more then expected. But this is simply a result of growing upper class tourism in Ljubljana.2 remarks - as it is slow food, the restaurant should consider upgrading the chairs as they are rather uncomfortable... and some unique food experience is missing... something to remember.

David and his team are awesome. They pay attention to the finest details, are rightly proud of the food and drink they serve and really care about your experience. We had easily the best meal in Ljubljana here. The wait staff were amazing - Sebastian’s recommendations, service, and conversation were fantastic. We should have eaten every meal here.

Oh, what a culinary jewel in the center of Ljubljana! If you want to taste the best of local ingredients, beautifully combined on a refined and modern plate, then this place is a must. P.S. Save some space for Šmorn or Kaiserschmarrn, which is the perfect treat after the (much recommendedmain course. Just yummy! :)

We have wonderful lunch at this newly opened restaurant. With fresh crispy fried fish and mouth melting Veal , so incredible flavor. Highly recommend
