Lake Country Grill in Orillia

Ordered via DoorDash. Entire order was incorrect. I called into let the store know, the person who answered the phone was awful.I explained that the entire order was wrong, all she said was "well thats weird" and kept going. I kept talking and explaining the situation, and thats all she kept repeating. Was very strange. Didnt apologize or anything. Luckly DoorDash dealt with it. Will never order or eat there again.The food we did receive, as an example, the stale bread.. all was awful. Time to use the DoorDash credits and literally order anywhere other than Lake Country Grill.

My wife and I both found the restaurant to be extremely cold when we entered and then we were sat directly underneath a cold air vent. We ordered a salad fries and a soup and we had to wait half an hour. Unfortunately when the food did arrive it was subpar at best. We found the waitresses extremely friendly but the atmosphere and the food both disappointing. We stopped going to this restaurant a couple years ago because we thought the food wasnt as good as when it first opened, that seems to have remained the same.

This was DROOLING DELICIOUS!! The people are amazing too! 😃.

I just love the staff, their pleasent, respectful and absolutely amazing with kods.. my son and daughter also really like the waitresses and atmosphere.

Worst worst worst, waiting always for than 15min for any order, Try and make fast or increase delivery times, we don’t work to just wait here and see your faces, ruins days every time, no service

Great atmosphere. Stopped in for the first time and was lucky enough to hear some live entertainment. The veggie nachos were great, lots of cheese and toppings. Enjoyed with a Flying Monkey lager. Waitress and hostess were super friendly. Will definitely go back again.

Amazing last minute find! Looking for a place when most were closed due to late travels (at 930 pmand it came up on google. The server Meghan and all the staff was super friendly and didn’t make us once feel like we were “too late” coming in. (we all know THAT experience)The food was amazing for a reasonable price, hot fresh and delicious. Definitely try the cheesy bread with bacon as an appetizer and their house lager.Our experience here helped after a very long day of driving and setbacks.. definitely worth it.

Decided to go to Lake Country Grill on May 26th for the first time. Our server was excellent and the fish and chips I had were very good with an ample portion of perfectly battered haddock. Nice décor and a warm friendly atmosphere, the bathrooms were labelled Nuts and No Nuts which was a nice touch of humour. Thanks for a great dining experience and we will be back and recommend you to our friends and family.

Made a reservation and a large table was already set up for us when we arrived. Everyone liked their food ! My dinner was excellent !! Nice atmosphere and lovely waitress !! Will definitely go back !!

Good service but the pickerel was not blackened but had some red powder instead. Also.the drunken pork chop.was good but the mashed potatoes did not have any garlic as stated on the menu. This is the first time it happened there for us !

The waitress was friendly but didnt know what the soup specials were or what was on tap.I ordered a fish sandwich and onion soup. I got a large burnt piece of fish on a plate (no sandwichand cold onion soup(cheese didnt even melt).My wife ordered the chicken fajitas and said she enjoyed them.So for $70 I got fish and soup I didnt eat, a beer, a glass of wine and chicken fajitas.I admit I was upset after reading all the good reviews.Bad day ? Maybe. But I doubt I will return after such a bad experience.And in response to "The Owner", I brought the issues to our servers attention.Also there were no other customers in the restaurant when we ordered. An older couple had just left. Not sure how being understaffed is an excuse in this situation. I saw 2 servers and we were the only customers at that time.

Fantastic menu with a lot of options. I had Jalapeños poppers with my friend which were some of the best Ive ever had. I also had their basic burger which was also delicious. Server was a bit underwhelmed. We tried using humor to engage her but her energy was that of a dirty truck stop diner named Flo. We still tipped her 18% but other than the low energy service the place has a great feel and diversity in their menu.

Such a great experience we had over dinner. The vegetable and tiger shrimp stir-fry I had was absolutely delicious as well as the blackened pickerel 😋. The service we received was excellent and our waitress was super friendly. Very nice experience 👌

Made a reservation a week ahead of time, it was for a birthday unfortunately my grandson informed me he had to work this was on a Thursday so I called to cancel for the following Monday, On that Monday I received a phone call asking if we were coming I had said we canceled and made it for Wednesday, on that Monday a household member came down with covid, so I called to cancel Wednesday it was 3 days ahead of time, the girl calls me and ask if we were coming, I told her I had canceled on the Monday, she was very rude told I was not allowed to make any more reservations jc,l I tried getting a hold the owner and have not heard from anyone yet this was not handled very well blamed me for thier mistake I quess they dont need the customers we were looking forward to eating there we always enjoyed going there

Mediocre food 🤷🏼‍♀️ probably wont be going back, for the price it wasnt really worth it. Kitchen staff kept coming out of the kitchen with no mask on, one man in particular and one lady. Had one waitress walking around with her mask on her chin while behind the bar, saw one waitress stick her finger in someones Cesar (drinkto get something out (before putting the calmatoe juice in)

Tonight two of my friends and I came in for their Fall Festival dinner. There was a soup or salad, a turkey dinner and pie for dessert oh and don’t forget the fancy hot apple cider drink. Can I just say this meal was FANTASTIC! The soup was a perfectly hot butternut squash with fresh black pepper on it, I could have made a meal out of that🤤. Our server Julie was just so sweet, my one friend is allergic to walnuts and Julie found out that the salad didn’t have any in the “seeds” that came on the salad. We asked if there was possibly any cranberry sauce available and she found some for us no problem. I asked if I could get some cheddar cheese on my apple pie melted and it was perfect! Julie took care of us and made our dinner a wonderful experience. There was musical entertainment tonight as well and he was great. Lake Country Grill never fails me and I recommend this place and the staff front and back.

Had dinner yesterday with friends after seeing all the good reviews. Nice atmosphere and friendly waitress ( mallory). However ,for the price of the food, the portion size was not justified . The chicken was very small and the pork schnitzel should not have been served with gravy, that should have been given separately. We all left feeling hungry and not satisfied. We will not be returning .

Food was excellent. The service was timely, I found the prices very fair and really enjoyed my meal. Our Waitress was Meagan (not sure on the spellingbut she was so wonderful, pleasant and helpful and one of the best waitress I have had in a long time. I will say that all the staff were very pleasant and we felt very welcomed. Whenever Im back in town, I will certainly be going back here.

Jeff and the team at Lake Country Grill came to the rescue with less than two weeks until our sons wedding reception and provided us with a fantastic meal for the 50 guests. Everyone commented on how tasty the food was and the amount of food provided was also very generous. We are very thankful for the entire team that contributed to making the evening such a great success!

The kitchen was slow but worth waiting for but we were 6 ppl. The broccoli cheese soup was ok but the rainbow trout was fantastic. Some good beer choices.

Lunch today. Had the Schnitzel sandwich with bacon and sauerkraut and side of slaw. Hubby had the Fall off the bone roast beef au jus. All tasted great and Meghan was very nice.

Had a delicious family lunch here. Our server was wonderful (I forgot to get her name). I had to leave shortly after we arrived to get a haircut at a barbershop a few doors down. Our server was great about it and took my order and kept it warm until I arrived back. The place looks pretty awesome considering its just in a plaza--I expected an older decor but everything was clean and modern. Will come back here again.

Excellent food and service! Highly recommended. They make a lot of food in house. Quesadillas were awesome. Kids fish bites are amazing. Beef sandwich also great.

We were in a group of six. Everyones order looked really good. I had the fish and chips. Very generous serving. Nicely crispy batter and flakey tender fish.

Great service and good food. The Ruben sandwich was outstanding, but the beef veg. soup was disappointing. We will definitely go back when we are in the area.

Poor food quality. Greasy and bland.Forgot the garlic bread, both orders.Went back and picked them up.Upon returning home I realized they had also forgotten the order of shrimp.Was so disappointed by the wilted salad and the horrible foor I didnt bother to call about the forgotten shrimp. I just wont go back.

First night dining in last night. Friendly fast service. Safety protocols definitely in place.Food was fresh and hot and my fish was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be a regular A++

Amazing! A great selection of foods. The appetizers and entrees are delicious. The desserts are delectable. The drinks are refreshing and tasty. And, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. Its my and my wifes favourite restaurant.

The woman at the front was very nice and polite. I did order online to pick up and we did order the roaster wings and and I added a pound more for $10 but never received it. We just got the wings and fries which I didnt ask for but thats no big deal. The wings are very dry, bland, and rubbery. We also ordered the chicken Parm which was good.. the spaghetti was bland.

Awesome food and service. We had the calamari, caesar salad, nachos, steak sandwich and barbecue chicken wrap and everything was perfect. Our waitress was amazing. Absolutely recommend this restaurant. They actually took reservations during covid.

I ordered their LCG chicken club sandwich last night. I requested gluten free bread. The sandwich was absolutely perfect. It tasted just like a chicken club sandwich should and I had enough to save for lunch the next day. Well done

I should actually reduce my rating as the owner just decided to reply aggressively to me rating their restaurant which I ate at on Wednesday December 23.I was there years ago and it was a complete sht hole. We went back because my step father wanted to try it.Visually the restaurant looked much better. Well decorated and clean.HOWEVER the 10 person limit was NOT being followed. There were 18 people seated.My black bean burger was blah and the bun was stale and tasteless. My wifes beef dip was chewy.I could continue to critique but I wont waste my timeall in all it was a big improvement from the first time I was there years ago. Your staff were very pleasant and professional. But the food is meh.I was just going to leave my rating and not get into it but since you left your aggressive comment I elaborated for all to read I certainly will not be coming back now.

We were here last night for a meal service was excellent all the guidelines followed for covet excellent. Now lets get to the food it was delicious and I noticed some of it is locally sourced which is even better. Definitely would go there again and I cant wait till they can have entertainment again. All in all a job well done!

Delicious! Clean atmosphere, friendly staff and they are following all of the covid rules. I tried this meal called chocolate steak. It was interesting, but good. Worth a try, and they need the business right now. It wasnt busy when I went.

This restaurant is definitely one of the best places to eat in the area. It is located in the north end of Orillia and for some reason has been wrongfully labeled as an overpriced pub. Well I have news for you. This is more of a casual fine dining establishment. The food is fantastic and the menu is unique and the service is friendly. The atmosphere is alive. Dont forget to check Friday Karaoke nights. And check out their schedule of live bands.

I absolutely adore this place! The ambiance is wonderful and it definitely makes you feel like in lake country. We had the “Smoky Nachos” and the kids had “Mommy I Dropped My Ice Cream”. We all enjoyed our meals. The service was great and the staff is so kind! Any time we visit Orillia we come and eat at Lake Country Grill. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Great staff ,food is really good.I had the fettucine Alfredo with chicken .I really enjoyed it.They also make great ceasar salad .

Waitress was very professional from start to finish. Meals were delivered fast and were a good presentation and good tasting. No problem parking.After 9pm was amateurs singing there hearts out. Fun to experience. Had a good time.

The last few visits to Lake Country Grill have been fantastic. The service has been friendly and welcoming. Wait times have been short and the food always tastes fantastic. I enjoy the atmosphere and energy of Lake Country and would recommend stopping in if you havent already!

This place has the BEST food, with quality ingredients and big portions at competitive prices. The place is clean; its laid out in a way that is cozy no matter where you sit, and the staff is friendly. The picture included is of their Taco Nachos. I had the Pesto Chicken Melt as a wrap this time, and it was amazing. 🤤 I highly recommend!

I called and ordered food for takeout for my family. There was something on the menu for everyone including my 3 year old picky daughter. I liked that they had a website where I could view their menu online. The prices are good-reasonable. The food was absolutely delicious and their pie is to die for. It was really fast aswell. I believe it was a 20 minute weight for our food to cook.The girl that served me was super friendly and polite. I had a good experience.Excellent restaurant, will definitely be returning
