Lahainas in San Luis Obispo

Grilled Cajun and the fried fish tacos were both excellent! The Shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were more quality than the pricier restaurants.

Good food, we had the fish and chips combo, the fish was lightly breaded, flaky and tasted good, the garlic bread was good, the chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Clam chowder was OK, the service was great, food came out quickly and the owner was very nice.

Usually Lahainas is very, very good with amazing burgers especially, but I went there recently and the food didnt seem like how it usually is. It was probably because they were very busy, but the burgers seemed more dry and they forgot some things. But overall, usually, they are amazing and I would definitely recommend. My favorite place for a burger.

The food was a chore to eat!Tasteless, boring and definitely not appetizing. Some salt would have helped these dishes.While I appreciate freshly cooked fish and chips, it was all tasteless. Even the chowder was bland. The mere addition of salt would have improved the taste of the over priced dull food.

I love their tacos. Everytime I go to this place I always get the same thing. Shrimp Tacos!

Guy running the place seemed pretty rude when I asked for a print menu. I couldnt bear to do business with him and left

The fish tacos are fantastic. My wife thoroughly enjoyed a seared ahi salad. The owner is super kind and accommodating. The portions were generous, more than what we ordered. Recommended.

Sorry but definitely a 2 star taco. All around super bland food. I guess the fish and chips is what to go for which I’m sure they nail but just know that if you get anything else on the menu it’s going to have the same flavors going on. Fried food with some kind of mayo based sauce.The interior is just a tv playing food network and some fruit flies.

I love their fish and chips. Their burgers are fantastic. Surprisingly few Hawaiian food items but over a good place with great service.

Got bowl of chower. Was fine. Bowl serving was more a cup serving. Slow service with just 1 before me.

So so food. The fish is dry and breading is plain. Not sure why it is Hawaiian themed. Its basically a fish and chips joint.

Love the food here! I love the fish, calamari, shrimp and scallops. If you don’t want fried food the Cajun fish sandwich is really good too! If you’re going to order fish tacos it’s better to dine in. They are better hot and fresh. I also love their homemade bbq sauce. I use it for my fries!

Lahaina is a great place with great food!The California Burger is my favorite so far!The customer service is awesome and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Its a good place to take your family for lunch and or dinner. You will not walk away disappointed! #yumyum😊

Incredible food! The fish and chips are the best Ive ever had!! Im extremely picky and have literally eaten fish and chips from Boston to California and back. I was introduced to Lahainas by a friend and I cant get enough. Light batter, fresh, flakey fish that has absolutely no fishy taste.Everything Ive tried at Lahainas is perfect. (PLUS the name takes me back to my home in Lahaina Maui, where they never had a place that had food like this.)Go hungry because youre going to want to eat ever bite!! Complete deliciousness.Go to Lahainas!!!! Youll be glad you did.

Heard about this from friends so came checked it out. Had the Lahainas burger with fries. Awesome. Cute place fast service. If you are on lunch call order in and its ready before you get there. Definitely will come back to try other items on menu.

The fish and chips were awesome, also he was getting ready to close kind of sort of but yet he let more people come in and eat including myself.

I got the ahi salad and the hubby got the wahoo fish tacos. The ahi was overcooked with no seasoning and did not complement the bed of greens, mango, and mandarin oranges that it was served with. The dressing was boring.We chose this place for the fish tacos. Super boring! The tortillas were not cooked, and there was hardly any flavor. No passion in the cooking. With such exotic and expensive fish, you’d think there would be some thought into seasoning it.I give this place 2 stars because the service was prompt and friendly. Will not come back, especially for the price offered

Came here for lunch and my husband asked for his recommendation, and he pointed to the swordfish tacos. Husband got that and I had a nibble, I dont really like fish, but wow it was really tasty. My burger was really good too. Friendly staff, hot quick and delicious food.

You wouldnt get 1starfrom me if I can.Falsely advertised. I dont know any restaurant,better yet an individual who can confuse what a shrimp cocktail is. I ordered one on my lunch break and I recieved LITERALLY a little Dixie cup with cabbage on the bottom and 3 or 4 little raw shrimp.thats all. Ooooo....and it was 13 dollars.

Divine and beyond mouth watering coconut shrimp and fish and chips. Great owner at the helm and staff is super friendly. Its my second time eating there and next time its gonna be the shrimp and scallops! Go brah!

The food was delicious. The salad and clam chowder were especially good. The chowder had a subtle smoky flavor. Great service and a place to eat outside too.

Very good fish and chips most of the stuff Ive had here has been really good Yoders very pleasant it does have a bathroom and they had the TV on so had five or six that usually watch news depending on the day sometimes they watch Spanish soccer were other Spanish channels but usually theres an English show going on on the other TV usually its News Channel or informational Channel

17 dollars for a burger and fries with drink!?! Way to expensive for a burger that tastes like uncle jimmy cooked it up for your nieces 4th birthday party. Good grief. Fish and chips or don’t go here. That is all.

This simple counter service spot has a lot of basic and tasty things. The folks working there were very friendly. I tries the fried fish and shrimp and both were good. The tarter sauce was nice and tangy and the cocktail sauce had plenty of horseradish. The price for what I got was really good. I was totally stuffed with seafood for $15

This place is fantastic! My first time. Their Thursday night special was highly recommended. A Filet mignon burger. The filet was cooked to perfection and very tender! I give it two 👍👍 up. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We had Cajun fish wrap, Good, large enough 8.95! ....they always have top notch fish and chips, a treasure of family owned/operated eatery on corner with Trader Joes and Food for Less.

Smells good in here. Menu looks expensive. We ordered strawberry smoothies and were disappointed. $6 for mediocre tasting small, yes $6 for about 10oz smoothie.Ill try the food, if I dont just keep eating next doors Mexican food.

Best fish and chips in slo. Sand dabs sometimes available are amazing. The wraps are awesome too. The owner is almost always there and you are well taken care of

The breakfast burrito was weak. 10 bucks for mostly potatoes is a rip off. I had to open the burrito to pick out the bits and pieces of egg and bacon. I threw out the tortilla because I didnt like the smell (too processed.This left me dissatisfied and disappointed the rest of the day.

Lahainas is a cant miss...the best burgers in SLO by far. The fish and chips are the best Ive had....also friendly staff, great owners. Give them a shot, you wont be disappointed!

Great food. Not Hawaiian at all except for pineapple on some items. The burgers are yummy. The fish and chips are yummy. The shrimp is yummy. Thats all Ive tried but so good I keep coming back. My friend said they had 1 bad time there out of 30. I have had 0 of 20. Try a few things here and youll find something you love. It is a little pricey though.

A decent place to grab lunch. Almost everything is fried - so baware of that. Their wraps are decent and their clam strips and fish n chips are good. Stick with the basics and youll be good.Dont go here for a healthy meal. Go here for a decent quick lunch.

I have now been to this eatery 6 times all the way from Vandenberg village and I have not been served anything that was less than tasty. The fires are better than anywhere on the central coast and the same can be said for the burgers and seafood items. Better fish and chips than Pismo JMO

The fast friendly service was greatly appreciated and the food was delivered to our table piping hot. Fresh out of the fryer. My family enjoyed this place very much. We will be returning for sure.

Excellent fish and chips, fish tacos and nice specials menu. Folks working there took good care of my kids with polite, friendly service and lots of smiles during shaved ice. Definitely a nice little place.

I understand the rent is probably high, hence the expensive prices, but to charge a "dine out" fee is ridiculous!Look at it this way.... 15,000 people "dine out" from this affiliation in one year. That is $10,000 annually!!! A cheap gouge to every "dine out" person in my opinion.Mario the owner, is not the most friendly and needs to work on his customer service standards.The food is not bad, but going to In&Out would be cheaper and taste better.
