Wow, so tasty. Food was amazing, chefs were accommodating to gluten free options, Sally our waitress was also great. We are looking forward to eating here again.

Their 5 star rating remains intact… I only wish I could add a star or two or three to my review!Dinner with my lovely this evening at one of of our favorite places… Lagniappe Brasserie. The new and improved version of an old favorite Charlie Trotters??? Charlie Trotters was AMAZING, and so is Lagniappe Brasserie! Yes… some may call it blasphemy, but I did just compare a New Berlin Restaurant to Charlie Trotters! The food matters here and it shows!Our meals this evening. Wagyu shoulder steak grade 5 served rare with clams casino for The Jenny and rack of Lamb served rare plus for myself. 1/2 price bottles of wine on Thursday… BONUS!!! The mushroom ragout appetizer was beyond absolutely freaking delicious and amazing!!! And so was the fresh salad and Russian shchi… the Russian shchi was the best I’ve ever had short of this small remote diner in the heart of the Motherland… delicious!!! Let me not fail to mention the fresh bread and duck liver pâté… YUM!!! And as ALWAYS… not only was the food delicious and well prepared, the service was impeccably PERFECT! They have great service , excellent food drink and the sorbet is probably the best thing Ive ever tasted!

If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. Atmosphere: comfortable and home-y. Service: Impeccably attentive, friendly, and all-around wonderful addition to the dining experience. And, the food? Two words: LIFE AFFIRMING.

We stopped here for dinner because of the good reviews. We were mistaken. What we got was a Great Experience. Gordon Ramsey could not have served a better meal than what we had.

Food was pretty good, but atmosphere was phenomenal. Very relaxed, relatively quiet, staff was wonderfully courteous and great, just a wonderful evening, wonderful date night and all around great experience.

Another absolutely fabulous dinner at Lagniappe! 2nd time here and love the daily changing menu! Appetizers, meals and desserts are tasty as they are beautiful! The only restaurant we never have to salt or pepper anything - just perf! We adore Sally and have been so lucky to have her serve us both times! She’s so nice, funny, knowledgeable and honest!This is our new favorite restaurant and such a hidden gem!

This little gem hides a true French/Swiss master chef. The food here is prepared perfectly. Ive had a chance to speak with the chef about how he sources his incredible ingredients. He takes extreme care to make sure he selects the best seafood, produce, and meats to make sure he delivers a perfect plate every time. This is a restaurant you must go to on a regular basis as the menu always changes based on what is fresh. This may be the first time you have really experienced the true joy of a dining experience.

I went with friends and spent 3 hours enjoying wine, food, dessert and friendship. We couldnt have asked for a better night!

Wow! World class food right in New Berlin. We were so pleased to come here after a recommendation from friends. It was the perfect place for us; elegant yet comfortable, perfect service, amazing food. Actually really smart food- flavors that are exciting and expertly crafted. Oh what fun! We will be regulars!

First time going after years of driving past. So happy we went! Every dish was delightful. The staff were all helpful, kind and patient with our group and gave wonderful suggestions. Will definitely go back!

I just recently went here for my 1 year anniversary. The staff was very friendly even though we were a bit loud. The food was good. I ordered the veil which Ive never had before. It was okay. Would not order again.

Ive never had a bad meal or experience here. Its a small, romantic restaurant with amazing food. The chef uses ingredients from his garden, paired with other local farms. The dishes are always well presented, and the staff is very knowledgeable on good wine pairings. Truly a hidden gem in New Berlin!

With its cozy but elegantly appointed atmosphere, congenial wait staff, and ever changing menu, Lagniappe has become our go to destination for special occasion dinners.The cuisine is simply exceptional, on a par with the Milwaukee areas very finest restaurants, and very moderately priced. Moreover, the menu changes regularly, so theres always something new and delicious to try. Weve never been disappointed.Lagniappe, literally translated, means "something extra," and they offer exactly that. Look for your waiter or waitresses to come along with a small, complimentary treat while you wait for your entree.Lagniappe offers a nice, albeit somewhat basic wine list with bottle prices ranging from around $28 up, and I recall they offer 50% off every Tuesday evening. You can also order wine by the glass, or cocktails from the bar.We discovered Lagniappe, quit by accident after a friend gave my wife gift certificates for dinner there. Its a well kept secret that deserves to be better known. My recommendation; try this place. Youll be back again and again!

This is an underappreciated spot in suburban Milwaukee. The atmosphere is quaint. 12-15 tables max and currently seating 6 with Covid.The food is really good and the prices are reasonable given the quality.If you are looking for a quiet spot to have a good meal from a true small business, consider this!

Absolutely amazing experience. No detail was left untouched and food was a culinary masterpiece of flavors and food design. Would HIGHLY recommend Lagniappe if you are looking for a special night out or a meal that is truly exceptional. From the Lagniappe (a small complimentary treat given to a customerto the wine choices - all exceeded my high expectations. The Brasserie Table salad is not to be missed - I opted for the homemade buttermilk ranch dressing. This was my 1st time there and will be going back soon.

Deliciously satisfying. Refilled water timely. I never had monchong, but Ill happily have it again. If ever its an option.

The food was absolutely incredible! Although I am not a fan of meat with bones in it, the rabbit was phenomenal. The bones are a personal preference, and despite that, I loved everything I had, from the scallops for the appetizer, to the dark chocolate panna cotta dessert. Kyle was a wonderful, personable waiter, and made dinner with my husband a true experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing for unique, amazing food with a wonderful experience

A special little something special in the middle of New Berlin is a fine restaurant named Lagniappe Brassiere. Fine dining, fine food, and fine prices. Organic, fresh, relaxing, and memorable. I appreciate a meal that shows labor intensive work. w/o crazy prices A meal to be savored and enjoyed. I will be back again and again.

Update: dinner was a completely different experience. The food was very good and all the details seemed attended to well.The service was ok, if a bit slower. the food was tasty, but the lunch menu felt pretty limited. the attention to detail youd expect in a French restaurant was lacking. while my wifes desert looked beautiful, there was a moldy tomato on her plate with lunch. Just felt a bit sloppy. going to try again some night for dinner as the food was decent.

Search for a location on Google that was located between my cousins home and mine . What a pleasant find. Cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and unique food selections. The food was very good with wonderful flavors. Apparently the menu changes every few days, so we are looking forward to a return visit.

4 1/2 to 4 3/4 actually. Really outstanding food. One very busy server.Time to nitpick. Very nice selection of wines. Really good house made breads. Butter was refrigerator cold, so points off there. Great shrimp bisque. Only way to make it better would be to finish it off with a dram or two of Sherry. Excellent Kobe beef burger. Gauffrettes were a bit overdone, yet very tasty. Salmon coulebeaque was fantastic, but roast potatoes were bony. Outstanding dessert, but we have different definitions of what a chiffon cake is.Despite the pickiness mentioned above, do not miss going to this wonderful restaurant.

Although this place is very close to my house we only recently started coming here. In the last few months we have been here with different friends four times and have not been disappointed yet. (Well...once we didn’t like the pig cheek ‘lagniappe’ but that was free so who’s complaining)The prices are reasonable, the drinks are good, the service has been great and the varying menu is delicious. It is a small cozy place and we like that. Sure, put a couple more potatoes or veggies on the plate with the entree for the “Wisconsin” appetite but overall a great small chef owned, local dining experience.

One of my favorite venues to eat. Thursday half price wine on any bottle up to $50. I had one of the best New York Strip Steaks ever. Everything is fresh and from local vendors. The menu has a few new additions everyday. Service is excellent! A must go to spot in your dining adventures.

This restaurant never disappoints. Very cozy atmosphere to share for a great evening. The rotating menu is always wonderful and has just enough to please most anyone. The drinks are artfully prepared as well (this place knows how to make a great brandy old fashioned). To top it all off, the prices are the most reasonable you will see anywhere for such a great 3 or 4 course meal! Highly recommend you make a reservation here for your next occasion.

After learning the existence of this place, we decided to try it. The tentativeness of the first visit was blown away by fantastic service to start with when we did the reservation and felt welcome. It is a cozy place but was warm and well lit when we went on an extremely chilly evening. Food is elegantly prepared and there is a special vegetarian menu that you can refer and call in early to request the chef to keep it prepared. Patrons here are all frequent visitors. The options for food is pretty large.PS- we went back in two weeks again for the new year dinner. Worth it.

Restaurant with a quaint atmosphere. Menu has unique entrees with fresh ingredients. Chef is creative and talented and not reluctant to bring new experiences to his daily menu. Lucky to live close to an elegant establishment! Bon appetite.

I cannot tell you how many times I have eaten at Lagniappe. This is my favorite restaurant there is. I have gotten to the point that I dont order what I think I will like because I know I will like that. So, I try to choose something that I think I wont like. That way I can be blown away....unless there is rabbit on the menu.My favorite meal ever was the Rabbit Wellington. First time I had ever eaten this dish but I know it will not be the last.Andy and Mina serve up a tremendous value in their cuisine and will make just about any occasion special. When the owner of the company I work for comes to town, we cannot take him anywhere else and that has been his policy for over a decade!

Had lunch with coworkers here and the food was amazing. Two of us had the stroganov and the sauce was exquisite. My other two coworkers had the perch and the bass, which they both commented tasted well, if not for just a little bit too much oil. The portion sizes were perfect for lunch and the pumpkin cheesecake was fresh and sweet. Would highly recommend.

This place is probably the best restaurant in New Berlin. There must not be any foodies in all of New Berlin for it to only have one decent restaurant. This is worth a try if you dont want to go into Milwaukee. We enjoyed a nice romantic dinner in the cozy atmosphere. The food was very good.

This French brasserie is a cute little place, and while the food is very interesting & good, for the most part, I would like it better if the chef eased up on the salt. Everything is very salty which is not actually authentically French. Its also very loud & hard to talk when its busy, but I dont think that theres anything that they can do about that. It is worth a visit, unique & quite enjoyable, & we have been here several times.

We normally do not go out for expensive meals like this, but we were celebrating and decided to try it out. Lagniappe is a very small, intimate restaurant. We came on a weekday, so business was not booming, but we hear they can get quite busy on the weekends. Their wine list is not as big as I had hoped, and buying by the bottle doesnt really save you any money. Their cheapest bottle was more expensive than I typically spend, but it was very good. The menu is not very large, but I love the fact that it is all made extremely fresh, and the menu is changed daily based on what they have in stock. I had a delicious meal that was perfect for me; full of variety. We started out with complementary bread served with duck pate, butter and oil. A salad came with my meal. Before dinner was served, they brought out some quiche that they called out lagniappe (which apparently means "a little something extra"). My main course had Emu, Lamb with this amazing sauce, glazed potatoes and a vegetable that I cant seem to remember right now. All of it was delicious and the variety was amazing. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the opportunity to chat with the head chef for a bit.
