Best in lae city, luxurious and peaceful

It occupies a really massive compound. Resort style rooms. Eateries does not offer much choice of dishes. Furnishing in the rooms are very dated. Not the most modern of places.

My stay was okay. Some parts of the hotel area is very dark at night and its scary to walk alone. Would be much better if they could light it up with lamp posts or solar lights.

A lovely meal in a tropical atmosphere. Good selection of Western and Asian cuisine.

Great place to stay while in Lae. The food is good, the staff friendly & helpful. I enjoy the morning walk from the rooms to the breakfast table, through the gardens, lovely way to start a day.

Great place for lunch

A nature inspired design hotel. From usage of wood as pillar at the hotel entrance to staircase and canopy towards the rooms. Although a little bit old style design of rooms and need an upgrade bit with complete amenities of coffee and tea and at the bathroom. Only the shower room a bit too small. Buffet breakfast is always the same menu on fruits, salad, rice, sausage, bacons and minched pork. Only loaf bread available. The restaurant have lots of menu to choose from at an appropriate price. Must try roast of the day. And I love the rack of lamb and chicken maryland. Have the sports bar with happy hour on wednesday and saturday nights at determined hour, with live band but only 1 group playing. Never tried the swimming pool. Efficient and fast laundry service. With atm machines inside the compound. It is also located to a nearby walking distance shopping center and supermarket Security is very good and a very friendly staff. Definitely recommendable and would like to comeback again.

The Chef makes some of the most tasty Indian dishes and thr prawns are the biggest Ive ever seen or eaten! Definitely worth a few visits!

Meals are expensive but good, rooms REALLY expensive and not value for money, drinks at the bar are INSANELY EXPENSIVE. City and Morobe hotels have rooms of much better quality, and food of equal or better quality and value, drinks a third of the price.

Service was outstanding as always. Very kind and attentive staff. The ambient lights in the rooms makes resting easy.

Im giving this place 3 stars. An upmarket hotel, has a variety of services to offer. My review is quite mixed. I loved the the food. 2 weeks here gave me time to appreciate the beautifully prepared dishes on the menu. I would definitely recommend the rack of lamb, the tropical chicken salad and the Godfather pizza if its pizza you want. Give me the deliciously prepared hot chocolate topped with caramel source with the hotels Logo.Food aside, i got the deluxe room which us spacious and cozy. I have no problems with the room, except for the fact that sound proofing is terrible. I could literally hear almost everything happeing next door. In addition, the wifi was terrible except for when you are closer to the hotel foyer. Laundry should be a complimentary service. But thats only my opinion considering the cost customers have to pay. Having said all, the pleasant staff do alot to ensure your stay is comfortable.The Lae International Hotel can do better to improve on all facets and be the same award winner it used to be in yester years.

Poor customer service in the restaurant. Went in for lunch at 11:30am, placed order at around 11:40 and meals came after 30 mins and the drinks we ordered came an hour after!

Lae International continues to improve every time I am here. I was absolutely overjoyed to find they had an ATM for BSP & kina Bank within the premises saving me the time to walk into town to actually use the ATM. I would definately make this a place for me to stay on all my travels into Lae City as it has the best customer experience for me

The room I was staying was dusty. Probably because it was just recently reopened after long months of closure due to covid.

Lae International Hotel has an exciting atmosphere and very reliable customer service. Also the landscaping and habitat is very relaxing/breathtaking.

The McRoyal Hotel is one of the best hotel in the Highlands Region of PNG. However, the quality of the food is less. Security is well protected, all executives rooms and tye environments of so silent.

Possibly the best hotel in Lae. Kids pool. Family-friendly. Kind staff. Good food!

Christmas Buffet was good. Champagne ran out in the first hour or so, white wine was old and undrinkable. Table service slow, but got there in the end.Recommended, but be aware of slow service.

A very nice hotel that you would want to go and free your mind from stress..And they also provide dining table for family to take a quick bite,enjoy and go back if you want too..

The suits are awesome, although the standard rooms really need some updating. Restaurant is great and the garden features are really nice. It has a nice tropical garden theme going for that added peace and tranquility to the place.

Nice landscaped gardens with a very spoilt for choice menu. Would need some maintence though to recapture its glory

LIH is within the heart of Lae City.Beautiful hotel to stay if you are on holiday or business trip to Lae. The meals are delicious, security is not a problem, ATM, Gym, and airport transfer are organised through the reception. You will be welcome by the beautiful staff.

Old world charm. Good service and good food. Secure. Rooms are large and comfortable. Not lavish. But warm and friendly

Good to drop by and get breakfast after an early morning plane to Lae. Food is good but I miss them making the omelette infront of you. Sad there is no hash browns but bacon and beans with tomatoes were on offer. Good hot chocolate. Best hotel in Lae.

The hotel is a bit aged but needs a bit of maintenance, I had so much expectation for the hotel but guess it didnt meet. First the Wi-Fi is terrible in the rooms, going off all the time and they print the password I a tiny little paper you have to keep searching, the breakfast service was terrible they look like there are many waiters but for some reason they just seen busy spending most time at tilling machine, the choices at the buffet is limited and if you want more have to go alacarte which is ridiculous, serve Continental breakfast but if you ask for pancakes or sausages or bacon you are referred to alacarte, the rooms are tiny and stuffy

Nice quiet rooms. Friday night seafood is a buffet delight. Choice of restaurants Pizza to formal. Good sports bar. Premium hotel in Lae, there is nothing else in that class. Conference rooms and a business center.

A good place to be in Lae for meetings, meals and booked events. Minor issues at times, but generally well managed. The staff are friendly and the environment is beautiful. Good place to order pizza and cake for take away or pool side refreshments for family and friends.

The accommodation was clean and functional and staff were fantastic, had a couple of beers in the Sports Bar and while a little overpriced not a bad place to relax.I ordered room-service and it arrive in good time and hot and have to admit the burger I ordered was one of the best burgers I have eaten anywhere in PNG.I would recommend this to anyone that needs to travel to Lae for Business or pleasure
