Disorganization is the watchword, you can only get there by car, no transport services, the real labyrinth is getting there. Not recommended

Incredibly fun exciting experience, not the usual easy maze, it can actually take you hours to complete it!

An amazing Masonic labyrinth built of bamboo bushes. Probably the biggest labyrinth in the world. Inspired by Jorge Luis Borges. A few minutes after entering the labyrinth it seems that it will be easy to find the exit. The bamboo walls suddenly look exactly the same as each other. There are very few waypoints, only the width of the passages helps to find the correct route.

It is a beautiful, sprawling site just about 15 minutes outside of Parma. It is a great place to bring the kids as a break from museums and churches. The walk through the maze was pleasant with lots of shade from the bamboo walls, filled with interesting historical facts about labyrinths and a few art installations along the way. It took us roughly 45 minutes at a leisurely pace to get through the maze, this included stops to read and translate the info. There is never any concern about getting lost within the maze. There are maps and checkpoints along the way to give you a sense of location. The art collection in the museum was a pleasant surprise! It was diverse and the accompanying info plaques were very informative. One should also take the time to see the temporary exhibit. We were there for the "Aeropainting Futurism" exhibit. It featured an era of art brought about through the advent of flight and airplanes, not widely known about, at the beginning of the 20th century. In general, the labyrinth and its museum was a unique and pleasant visit.

Great if youre a teacher organising an outing for the 7th grade. Just launch your coachload of 30 kids into the bamboo labyrinth, take a long lunch of insalata and risotto at the excellent bar & baguette trattoria, and wash it down with copious quantities of vino fresco while waiting 6 hours for the last of your pupils find their way out. Hint: for ultimate peace and quiet on "your day out", prohibit use of smartphones to photograph labyrinth map. The museum of replicas of famous works of art can also keep you busy, while waiting, if you prefer intellectual rather than alchohic brain stimulation.

The genius of Franco Maria Ricci in this unique bamboos labirinth, the biggest in Europe. Restaurant was a bit expensive with small portions. But the personal art archives of FMR are worth the visit. While the labirinth although is more a children playground, is an occasion to see if you are able to find the way out, a metaphor of life 😀

Good idea, but too small. The bookshop should be selling labirinth books for kids to solve, wasted opportunity!

Super fun for all ages! Where a good pair of shoes and bring a water bottle. Labyrinth is quite big and not easy but doable. Maps are available inside if you want some help getting to the center to exit. The restaurant unfortunately was few tables outdoors, no fans, no breeze because you are in a courtyard, terrible heat and lots of flies. Would not recommend to stay for lunch. No picnic area for a packed lunch either.

Had fun at the labirinto della masone. Theres a mini museum in there where you can buy cool stuffs made from bamboo. The entance fee i would say just a bit on the pricey side but surely you can enjoy this maze especially if you are many in a group. The maze itself i would say really is a picture perfect set up where you can enjoy your selfies or with the group.

An unexpected quasi religious site; an atheistic church, where you can meditate just as like in a temple and perceive the power of the nature, the transition from the nature entanglement to the labyrinth of the mind and the hope to find an exit, thanks to art.

The best part was the art collection which was pretty neat and interesting. The labyrinth was also nice.Unfortunately there are some factors that make the experience less enjoyable. To begin with, as most people mentioned the ticket price is extremely high compared to much more famous and richer museums/gardens. Also, there is not a single way to get there if you do not have your own car except by walking on the road for an hour which makes it very difficult to reach. For such an expensive place, there should be a shuttle service at least. The labyrinth was clean and nice yet I believe there could be more interesting elements embedded in it like fountains etc.

The staff is really friendly and helpful, the labyrinth itself is challenging enough to be interesting, and easy enough to not to be lost in it. If not these, the shadow itself on a hot day has to be a good reason to visit the place.

Its not the big as you think when you see the pictures on the internet (because its seems to be huge and its just big 😂and also another thing that surprised me is that the Labirinto is made of bamboo and this is really incredible! Its really nice to go there (dont see the maps! Try by yourselfand challenge yourself to find the way to reach the pyramid. After a long time trying, we got it and was incredible to take some rest on the grass, chillin out on the sun! Its a nice journey! I strongly recommend!

If I could rate it on a negative scale, I would give it -5☆. Far too expensive and the maze isnt as large as advertised.Once paid a fee of €18 per person, you walk through the mini maze constructed with bamboo. Dead birds and dog droppings were scattered along the way. Once reached the pyramid, it was empty, painted in gold and you could see the ventilation vents. The museum itself was nothing out of the ordinary, paintings, sculptures and books?!Maximum time consumption...1h. If you are thinking of travelling from far to see the place, I would save the petrol. Absolute disappointment.

Highly recommend visiting if you are near Parma. The labyrinth itself is a lot of fun for all ages. The amazing collection of art on the second floor is a must see! It really is a well curated collection unlike any other Ive seen. The entire complex is a a wonderful place to spend 2 to 3 hours. Also has a lovely restaurant in the courtyard.

The labyrinth is not challenging, and I see no point in visiting it (there are no art pieces inside it, nothing special to see, bamboo looks the same everywhere- even if there are several different species). If it was just for the labyrinth, I would have given it one star only. However, there is a very nice museum inside, which is worth visiting - I would definitely recommend it.It gets 2 stars overall because: ait is overpriced (18 Euro is way too muchbwe realized that there was a museum by chance, it is not well explained from the beginning 3the labyrinth experience is boring (they should make it more fun)

If you like mazes then you’ll not be disappointed, however at €18 per head I’d say it’s way over priced, after all one piece of bamboo is much the same as the next one! I’d hold on to my €uros

The collection shows the quirky genius of Franco Maria Ricci, Italian publisher extraordinaire. Friend of Borges and Erté, Franco Maria Ricci (FMRrecruited the best litrary talents and scouted for the strangest visual suggestions; he produced and published beautiful and weird works of art, among which the stunning Codex Seraphinianum. Works by Wildt, Erté, Chiparus and Ligabue are on display. The Labyrinth is a multi-layered metaphysic reflection, an ode to bamboo, and some good sport on top of it (take a picture of the map, it will help you!). Only cloud on an otherwise spotless experience: the food offer (at the Cafè, Bistrot and Bottegais limited and seriously overpriced. Head to the nearby Fontanellato and stop at the friendly Salsamenteria for a rewarding snack or lunch.

Somebody at work who had been in Parma recommended this place to me. I told my wife about it and ended up going there with the kids. They and us loved it equally as much. Something different. The museum is worth visiting as well.
