La table du Palais - Restaurant in Marrakech, Morocco
Wonderful gardern, interior and food. around 24$ per person, but absolutely worth the penny!
Beautiful setting and good food. Atmosphere wasn’t great (bossanova cover music a bit much and loud), and very hot in 40 degree. Service was a bit poor but generally food was quite tasty.
Beautiful courtyard garden with a very romantic vibe. Service for drinks a little slow but that seems to be the Moroccan way at most places. We ordered the salmon dome, Moroccan salad, lamb tagine and apricot pastilla for dessert. Everything was delicious except for the pastilla. I would say it was one of our best meals in Morocco. I was not a fan of the apricot pastilla however as it tasted too much like eating shower gel. The orange blossom flavour was too overpowering.
Lovely restaurant with great music. Julian the restaurant director is very welcoming and attentive. Would recommend
A beautiful Riad, loved the food at the restaurant
One star for the view, strange food for all the starter, we tried three tagine but all of three taste sweet... Honestly speaking, the food is even not good when we was stop on the way to desert for lunch... We spent £30 each person for dinner, over priced.
The Atmosphere is fantastic even better than the secret garden.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant, definitely recommend
Doesnt look much from the street, but the entrance area is beautifully decorated and the garden restaurant is even better, a genuinely peaceful oasis of orange trees and twittering birds, another world to the dusty and noisy alleys of the Medina. Food was good (though not spectacularand the service excellent. The only thing that let it down was they charged MAD220 for two adult courses and said they could do a kids portion of chicken & chips. We ordered it for our twins to share as they always max out on the bread, olives etc. Couldnt believe it when the bill came and theyd charged us MAD150 for it, it was really small! Of course, we did what any self-respecting Polish/British family does and paid it without saying a word (no tip though, so that showed em!!)
Most amazing setting of a restaurant ever!Escape the smelly, busy streets of Medina and enter this peaceful jungle in the middle of Marrakech.Incredibly beautiful and romantic garden.Set menus in good price. Food tasty, nothing extraordinary though.
Beautiful gardens and pool with a very nice lunch. Pierre was an excellent host, very knowledgeable about wine (local and foreign).
As with so many of the gems in Marrakech, this place has an unassuming entrance and rather simple menus in the window, which belie a gorgeous colonial era riad which put us instantly at our ease. The staff were attentive but not bothersome, and our food was very nice. Gentle 1930s jazz played in the background, as orange blossom fell around us gently and despite the terrible heat the courtyard was very cool because of the enormous trees. We got engaged, having decided to seize the moment. The creme brulee was brilliant, as were the fritters and my chocolate pudding.
Very good location, excellent customer service and delicious food. We went there for two times during our time in Marocco. Abdessamad, our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and made great recommendations for places to visit.
Secluded restaurant set in beautiful garden surroundings. It was a chilly evening but the staff brought over a gas heater to make sure we were warm enough.Waiters were hugely attentive and made sure we understood the menu items. We tried the traditional Moroccan dishes, lamb tagine with caramalised apples and pears and a slow cooked beef tagine. We followed this with a delicious chocolate fondant sponge pudding and a creme brulee.Very happy with food, service and value for money. We had a brief chat with the owner on our way out. He explained the history of the hotel and restaurant plus the work he has undertaken to make this one of the hidden jewels of the Medina.
We happened to stumble upon this beauty as we were done shopping in the Medina and wanted a bite on the way back to our Riad. Breathtaking as you walk in, it doesnt feel like you are in the craziness of Marrakech. Feels tropical! We arrived at 9:30pm, and were hoping that by just ordering a main dish and a glass of wine that we could be done fairly quickly with enough time to go back to our hotel and pack to leave for Paris the next morning. Our server comes over with his iPAD/tablet of some sort to take our order. I was rather impressed by this and was thinking how efficient it was. I ordered the Lamb Mechoui, and my boyfriend ordered the Beef Entrecote, medium well, with potatoes and a side of each of the sauces, as he couldnt decide. We try some local red wine. Food is coming out to many tables around us, and we start to get that sullen look. Its now 10:15, and no word. We wave the server over, he apologizes for the delay. Then about 10-15 later he comes back to tell me that they no longer have the lamb, they ran out. Great, we are starved. I quickly order the stuffed chicken with tapenade (I had so much tagine on this trip, I was starting to look like a clay pot (the bottom side)). A manager comes over and apologizes again, offering us another round of wine and tells us there is a glitch in the computer and my order had never gone through.... :( Zero patients...ly waiting, food finally arrives, its 11pm, we are red in the face and woozy.... the bfs steak is too pink throughout, and he sends it back. The server tries to argue that it is how they make medium well steak. Well, its shouldnt be dripping juice at 150F. Not that Im a chef or anything. (I am btw). My chicken is overcooked and the tapenade tastes off, but I was ready to gnaw on my arm, so I ate most of what I could. Bf ate the potatoes, which were much like severely under seasoned mashed potatoes they forgot to drain. Bleh. His steak comes back, he eats it. The manager apologizes for the third time. The server comes back as we settle the bill and asks what else he could do. We really just want to get home, could he maybe find us a taxi or walk us to one? It can get rather confusing in the Medina. No, he cant. Rather, he points a few directions and says, when you walk several blocks out, walk til theres a wall, and then there should be a taxi. Id like to walk him into a wall, its almost midnight....Btw, when we took off for Paris in the morning, I had the absolute worst case of food poisoning. It was perhaps the worst 24 hours of my life. I hadnt eaten anything other than the dinner, and perhaps it was the chicken?? Just an fyi.
We had a very beautiful dinner here. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The garden with the music and atmosphere is just beautiful. We were here in January and although they put heaters next to the tables outside it was quite cold. The dishes were very good but not very special and for the price rather small.Nonetheless, for a quiet beautiful evening I would totally recommend!
A precious gem in the medina, wonderful romantic atmosphere, every table has its own charm and ‘private-ness’ and the waiters are so polite, attentive and well-dressed. A good choice of moroccan/‘elsewhere’ (mostly frenchdishes, and even biological wine. Spare yourself the regret and go visit!
We have a wonderful dinner there. Attentive staff, stunning location and really good quality food at a reasonable price.Probably one of our favourite restaurants in Marrakesh.
Amazing food and great service. Lovely place to have a romantic dinner!
The quality of the food has dropped significantly since last eating there a year ago, which is a pity as the restaurant is a lovely place.
One of the few places I would recommend. Beautiful at night, but you will need to pre-book for best seats
Lovelly Settings in an inner courtyard, with fabulous food
Place is stunning with great atmosphere but the service and quality of the food is not so appropriate for the price, we had to wait long time to get our food.
American and Indian Tourists stay away ---As I write this, Im expecting the owner/ manager to attack and cyberbully this review instead of being introspective. Lacking further clarity as to the reason for the over charges, undelivered food items, delay in service, falsely represented inedible "vegetarian" meal, irrogant management, and not creating a safe tourist dining environment, our poor review of your restaurant reflects our experiences on BOTH occasions.
Fantastic hidden spot for dinner. Don’t miss it! Lovely garden setting, well presented food, excellent service and a wine menu.
Great place, lovely garden hidden behind the street. Easy to get a table, the food was good, the wine excellent and the service was amazing. Price is relatively cheap for what you get.
Really nice place for a quiet lunch. Posh but not overly priced for what you get. Very polite staff
Did not like this place and really dont understand what all the hype is about. It feels quite pretentious. Tries to look fancy but the food wasnt great and definitely overpriced and the belly dancing was more like stripping in front of all the men in the restaurant to make some money. Just felt weird. The place had a weird atmosphere about it. Absolutely not worth it. The only plus would be the garden.
Fantastic service with a very chilled vibe, a complete break from the manic nature of the Marrakesh streets. Food was fantastic but be prepared to pay a little more than other restaurants (worth it in my opinion)
Lovely lovely place! They also made space for us even though we just showed up. Nice staff too and food.
Nice service and nice wine, but woefully let down by tasteless and uninspiring food. Tagine was so poor. Much better authentic tasting food elsewhere in the city.
Real gem tucked away. Great food very reasonable prices. Magical setting. Would be back in a heart beat
The food was good, the place is really nice. A quiet garden in the center of the medina. However, the service was really bad. They got our order wrong 3 times (we were a table of 6). I think the first waiter was new and didn’t know how to take the order. We ended up with things we didn’t want and had to send them back. Second try was also wrong, had to send some things back again... in the end I ate something I didn’t want because I was sick of waiting for them to redo it again. They also blamed us for the mistakes, but we were really clear each time. It’s a shame such a nice place is ruined by bad service.
Great food and pretty decent prices! Best ambience for a romantic dinner we were able to find in the Medina! Incredible! Would highly recommend it.
Behind a regular door you will find a nice garden with nice local dishes. taste is good. minimum spendings is 150MAD
The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Overall it was a good menue (not super specialand a very nice location. Price value was ok in comparison to european prices.
Beautiful garden setting, and one of the few places in the medina that serves alcohol. Service is good but could be a little more attentive, especially acknowledging guests when they arrive.
Amazing outside seating with a great atmosphere. The waiters were very kind, helpful and attentive. Food was very good, although not amazing, but the price was more than fair! I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area.
An absolutely amazing experience at La Table du Palais! It was such an escape to enter into this little slice of paradise after a few hours in the chaos of the Medina. The menu is well priced, service was fantastic (they didn’t pressure us at all and did not rush us in any wayand the food was very flavourful! The chicken tajine was excellent and the lamb Méchoui fell off the bone!Highly recommend this place!
Great surprise when you expect a normal restaurant and instead you find a secret garden with elegant and super educated waiters. Food is super good and in my opinion, here you can find the best creme brulee you can eat
Well hidden gem, very quiet but lively. Gorgeous set up with stunning garden - loved the Moroccan wine list!
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, smartly dressed if slightly incompetent service. Romantic courtyard, tables set in beautiful garden.
Beautiful French-Moroccan food in a hidden and beautiful location. The place was stunning even in the rain.
Nice Place to be. Fine Kittchen. 1001 Night
Behind the small doors lies an amazing palace in a fairytale-like setting! The location is exquisite, the staff is very friendly and the food is absolutely mouthwatering. Dining at la table du Palais is a marvellous experience! The owner is very hospitable and is very involved with his riad and his team. This is by far our favourite place to dine in Marrakesh and it is highly recommended!
Hands down a must see in Marakesh ! History, the ambience, the service, the food. Its a dream come true. Couldnt possibly recommend this place more.
We have eaten the best lamb ever including a high class and friendly service personnel. We strongly recommend there Restaurant. Only the price of around 50€ for two persons (starter, drink and main courseis relatively high for Morocco.
this is a real gem of a placeright in the market we were greated by a bow tied gent, instantly felling underdressed in my pink shorts... but welcomed in with open armsthe inside of this place is like paradise, cool, quiet and peacefulthe food and drinks are lovely and all at a good price!
Great quiet spot after a busy day getting lost in the Medina. Beautiful interior courtyard and great lunch. Great service. Good picture spot too.
Very good traditional Moroccan dishes in an exceptional 19th century marrakchi riad. Two birds, one stone.
