La Vietnamita Sant Antoni - Vietnamese restaurant in Barcelona, Spain
The food here last night was really terrible. I think it is the worst meal I have had at a restaurant in many years. If there was a zero star option thats what I would give it. The staff were nice though and restaurant has a nice decor.
This restaurant is not vietnamiese, food is average and one of the waiter was very unprofessionnal. For instance, he never brought one of the starter, get upset when I notified it, and - icing on the cake - disclosed that one customer is not important. It has been a very longtime that I felt so humilated. Please avoid, lots of better option in the area.Restaurant de médiocre qualité, serveur amateur et agressif. A éviter.
The food was OK but would not come back. We got this tasting menu with different things. Found it overpriced for what it was. Also the service was TERRIBLE. The waitress took ages to serve us because she was just chatting to a co-worker. We couldn’t even order coffee before leaving because she wouldn’t even look at us, since she was chatting again... too slow even though the venue was empty...
Had a great experience! The tasting menu was really worth it and staff was super helpful and friendly. The mango&coconut slushi was a bit too sweet for my taste, but really recommend the fried rolls that are wrapped in salad!! Nice to come here if you need a small break from all the tapas.
Such a shame - the food is so bad. Flavourless, no texture, no fun, no creativity, certainly not representative of the Vietnamese food I’ve had in Vietnam, Germany and the UK. The server asked if we liked the food and I said I didn’t, because the pho was bland and unpleasant- he said sorry - it’s a problem with that soup - it’s very hard to make it good because of all the vegetables! 🤦♀️ It looks like such a great place, but there’s no energy there, no life in the open kitchen, just a disappointment.
We ate here on the last night of our trip purely by accident but so glad we did. Uber cool interior, delicious, flavourful Vietnamese menu and tasty lychee mojitos. Service was slow, but came eventually. Food a teeny bit too cold for my partner. We had satay chicken, then yellow and red curries. Great mix of salad with these!
Been here several times for lunch and the food is always fresh and portions are big. Great flavours. Plus the food is only Vietnamese, not some weird fusion of Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian and Vietnamese :We always get fast service. Lunch menu is also pretty great value. Our favourites are the bun noodle bowls and red curry. The ginger and honey tea is also great. Their spring rolls and rice paper rolls are yummy too.
The Best "yuka frita" (fryer maniocIve ever had! Beautiful place and very friendly staff.Ill be back!
Both waitresses didn’t look welcoming at all. Sad faces and bad mood greeting. Maybe find another job if you hate it so much.Anyway, I ordered a beef burger for 10 euro. It’s like a XL Bao, plain taste with a piece of beef what was very though - probably boiled or steamed. I ordered take away and the yuca fries were swimming in liquid of the bao leak. No success unfortunately.
Quality and dishes have gone down. Plates have same names as before but quality has decreased. Lemonade tastes like water.
One of the best restaurant choices within this area. They are also offering take-away options which is really convenient. Great place!
Although the small quantity of food, it was good.Suposedly we were supposed to get 200gr of rice but we did not see more than 10gr. We asked for more and that’s the answer we got. Very Sad.The answer of well-balanced and healthy quantities is a joke, a curry with just one small spoon of rice? Seriously???? Not even enough for a child... I would recommend you to check the balance with a nutritionist.
Horribly overpriced. Their food tastes good, but the portion size of the mai dishes and the price don’t add up. For a beer and an asian tapa is ok. Is one of those places that can get away with overcharging because they use pretty ingredients. If you want a proper vietnamese food restaurant go to Mon Viet literally 1 block away.
Ordered food via the TooGoodToGo app. Original price of the food they claim to be 9,-€. What I got were two summer rolls and a little dipping sauce. Rip-off, they should put honest and fair prices or not be allowed to take part in the TGTG app, since this goes completely against the idea behind it.
I ordered from Vietnamita compte borell through deliveroo, my vegetarian dish came with oyster sauce and it made my tongue swell, but also the most chocking part was that the noodles were completely uncooked... hard and impossible to bite... i was disappointed at the service this restaurant gave. Deliveroo were amazing and refunded me credit seconds after my complaint
I’ve been for lunch a couple of times. I like their red curry, it has just enough heat but not overpowering. I had a carrot soup the other day that was so nice. I like all the fresh greens they add on top which add texture to the dishes. To top it off this place is dog friendly so we can come in with our furry family for a meal. So nice.
Lovely food with great flavour combinations. Ingredients were fresh. Unfortunately all meals were very small in size. We ordered the Bun Noodles, Red Curry and Bun Bao Burger. All three of us were left feeling disappointed by the portion size, especially my boyfriend who only received one small burger with a slice of tofu for 9,75. They appeared to be entrantes sized meals. Very disappointed because the restaurant itself and the flavours were so nice. Wouldnt go back for this reason.
Good food and reasonable prices
Update! After a disastrous first impression, I was kindly invited to give them a proper chance. We tried the Mango green salad, a delicious and refreshing choice to open your appetite, a quite generous serving perfect for sharing as appetizer. As for the main dishes the red curry had a good enough punch of spiciness, totally balanced with the raw veggies topping, a nice balance of contrasting textures makes the dish fun to eat. We also tried the Vietnamese noodles, very nice, though the curry was better. To top off the evening we got a really sweet and creamy Vietnamese dessert. As an overall experience the restaurant is of the best choices around the neighborhood, would definitely recommend it and most likely pay it a new visit soon.--------------They treated me as a second class costumer.I am craving curry for days, today as I was passing by I saw the sign offering a takeaway menu that luckily had a couple of curry choices. As I was ordering my food an acquaintance of the cashier popped in, he left me standing without taking my order and disappeared with his acquaintance, awful and disappointing way to treat costumers.Since the cashier took his time I just left with the feeling that I was a second class costumer.
The visual aspects of the food show that it looks Vietnamese. Everything looks right, but the taste is all wrong. To the chef: Nem is made with pork, crab or shrimp and veggies or a combination of them, never with beef. The pho noodle soup had no flavors of pho, absolutely nothing. Look at some youtube videos on how to make them. As a Vietnamese, I would not dare recommend this place to anyone. The only reason Im giving it a two star is that the wait staff was nice, food was fresh and the location is great. Food-wise, it is a one star.
We were in a big group and served a table on the day. They were able to accomodate us and the service was great. I had the Pho Bo which was a bit salty but otherwise great. They have great lemonades and other drinks. For groups, I would definitely recommend this place.
Fab meal in a funky restaurant. We feasted on tasty Vietnamese food while our kids happily played on the play mat in the corner. We would highly recommend this place to others and will be back to eat soon!
I would give them a 4 but I wanted the Pho with tofu instead of meat (dont eat meat and every other place has the optionbut the waiter said this was not possible because I was changing the recipe 😳 but I could get the soup, no meat. Regardless, everything else was very tasty and the drinks delicious both the lychee mojito 🤤🏆👌 and the mango coconut milk one.
Very fun & modern atmosphere with lots of visual cues from VN, but no breathing Vietnamita works there. VN ice Cafe is decent. Che Chuoi was delicious, but 5 euro for a small dessert is just too much. Would like to try their fried fish cake & eggrolls next time. The items that I listed here are basic VN staple; a must-used measuring stick for any VN food joint.
Cool restaurant with very tastey food. Chicken noodle soup was delicious. Try the homemade lemonade too. Staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Super nice and cool place with great freash food. I tried the fish cakes with mint and salad wrap and loved the crunchineas of it all. Get them to explain to you how best to eat them. Makes the difference.Staff is very smily, helpful and customer oriented. You dont find that in just any place.Definitely becoming a regular here.
Not vietnamese food , very far from it!! Blend, sad, wrong sauces for the plates actually dont have the real ones, nems are horrible, bobun no taste.... shame to call this vietnamese cuisine.passable when you dont know anything about Asian, more precisely vietnamese food. Total waste of money .Friendly ambiance though.
If you know anything about Vietnamese food, youll be disappointed here. The pho bo Saigon is terrible. The broth is quite sour, and not appetizing. My Vietnamese friend and I were not pleased and from his perspective there were no Vietnamese influence because even the language was in correct. Anyway, its not authentic. Never going there again.
My pair and I went and took a Degustation menu which was 15€ per person, including starters and main dish. We enjoyed the food a lot and were very happy with all the food variety the degustation menu was letting us try. Quantity and price are fair!We also had two drinks (mint and lemon lemonade, ginger and apple detoxand there were both tasty and refreshing. The place is really well designed and adapted to the Sant Antoni environment as the local is totally opened to the outside pedestrian path, so that even if they dont have terrace you can sit inside the local and have the feeling of being mid-inside and mid-outside. Its great!Though, I didnt give a 5 in this review as we both felt some dishes and the drinks especially were missing some stronger tastes to be really outstanding.
Really cozy place but for being an Asian restaurant its not enough options for people who doesnt want to eat animals. Maybe three vegan options available. But delicious food for sure. One star for each meal without animals.
I went here with my boyfriend since the other Vietnamese restaurant we wanted to try was closed. We both had the red curry (one with tofu and one with chicken), and it lacked any depth of flavor - almost as if we were treading water in a kids pool at the local swimming spot.It was also to small so we had to get a Banh Mi which was equally as disappointing.Staff was very nice but unfortunately it didn’t change the tasteless food.
It used to be good and fresh. It is all prepared now. They bring main meal when the starters just arrived. They want to make sure there is turn over every 20min. Wont go back
I was really positively suprised when I tried out La Vietnamita a couple of days ago. First of all, the restaurant offers a broad selection of Vietnamnese food, freshly made and still quickly prepared. It is not easy to find Vietnamnese food in Barcelona at all, but La Vietnamnita offers a nice opportunity. The service was also very good and I liked the interior. Also, lots of food for vegan people!
We have eaten here a number of times, keep comming back. Lots of choices. Food is fresh and delicious. Service is very friendly. Decor is charming. Recommend trying it.
Amazing Vietnamese food, really vegan friendly place, however, if you are extremely hungry you might need to ask for lots of various sides! Really nice atmoshpere! Watch out for allergens, as they are not marked on the menu!
The food was good and I liked the concept, however we were all disappointed with the lack of chicken in the meals we ordered so the overall protein content in the meals was low. Stop being so stingy with the meats!
I have been a fan of the both Vietnamita in barcelona, which are all fantastic. But this is even more amazing Great choice of food, hot pot menue, which is new and the ambiance is stood market. Great atmosphere We tried all varieties of fresh rolls and curries. Yummy!! Super cocktails as well Very friendly service A clear 5 starAmazing vibes
Great food. Nice service. Recommended.
We have been here 2x because we missed tje authentic food of vietnam😂. We love pho soup, the spring rolls, etc.. We have been tried almost everything😂
Nice place, food average but fair price. Original design. Good service.
Food and ambience are good (a tad pricey though). Service is completely, utterly understaffed: just two waiters for a full house - you basically have to tackle them. One can understand the owners wanting to maximize profit, but to serve a big, bustling restaurant with only two people is just miserable and cruel.
The food is really nice and feels fresh when eaten. I really enjoyed the food more than once and feels like it is prepared really fresh. The taste in each plate makes you feel that each is different and nice. The only thing with me not rating 5 is the price, I believe that food is becoming very expensive in Barcelona without any reason.
Poor food and overpriced. Sad, since I had high expectations. We tried the lunch menu which came with a few tossed pieces of mango in a tiny bowl and a red curry which was diluted with water (barely enough coconut milk in itand weirdly topped with salad. Then we ordered the meatballs (which were decent), and the waiter suggested that since the portion comes with 3, we get an extra one. When the ticket came, the 3 meatballs were 4,9€ but the extra one added 2,5€. We also got a Pho, which was decent. Finally, besides the menu meal we asked for an iced-tea which tasted of nothing. Whole meal: 32€. I dont think Id return. (I give it a second star because the waiter was attentive and nice)
Great place for quick Vietnamese food. They just have a greatest-hits type menu, including bun (hot vermicelli with meat and herbs), banh mi, and pho, but everything was good and surprisingly cheap (a 3-course lunch including a drink was something like €12).
I have been waiting to try this place for months, as it opened right in my neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the service was great, unfortunately the food was not.First I asked for water and was served water with ginger and orange. I happen to like ginger so this wasnt bad, but generally if I order water I want water.Aside from the decor of the place which is tragically commercial - the food just missed the mark. Heres what I ordered:- sushi variety rollwith salmon and mango. I expected these to be fresh, and the salmon to be raw. Instead I received smoked salmon rolls - which would be great, except I thoroughly despise smoked salmon (especially in sushiso I had one and left the rest. These were pretty much smoked salmon rolls with rice. But who puts smoked salmon in sushi? And also - why does the menu not specify? These small details lose points in my book.- vermicelli noodles. The quantity of vermicelli that was in my plate was so small! Like, there were more peanuts than noodles. I think the prices here are great, but I paid 9€ for noodles and noodles were pretty much all but missing from this plate. Overall these were average. Probably wont reorder them. The desserts were probably the best part of my meal. I enjoyed the tapioca pudding.update: tried the red curry tonight and it was so watery! It was like a soup instead of a curry. The rice inside was also kind of stale. The flavor was pretty good though.I understand they serve many people here but for the same price I probably enjoy the food at Bun Bo in raval more
I dont understand why this place isnt Michelin starred yet. The food is both original and creative. Staff are lovely and the restaurant space is airy and comfortable. Brilliant!
I was two times there and the personnel was friendly and intent. We had the yamyam rolls, the glassnoodle salat and the pho soup. Everything was fresh and tasty. As starter the satay were very good and the chicken wings were ok. The music was a little bit too loud and to sit on a stool with a bar beteween the table feet, it is not very comfortable.
I was so excited to see this restaurant open in my neighborhood, and went to try it two nights ago. The best part of this restaurant for us were the serving staff. Pleasant, nice people trying their best to provide good service. There is a lot you can forgive with a new kitchen, but the food was a terrible experience, I am sorry to say. For my meal, I ordered a salad, with the sauce on the side and chicken satay, as none of the other skewers were available that night. My salad came fully dressed...not a tragedy, but not what i asked for. I took the first bite of satay....and chewed and chewed and finally got it down..and then..looked at it more carefully...I had taken a huge bite of..raw chicken. Two of the other diners with me, had ordered it..and theirs was red raw as well.....The waiter kindly replaced them, but the second order of satay came to us..more cooked than the first order..but very clearly underdone. The waiter was embarrassed and apologetic. You can forgive a lot in a new kitchen, but there is no excuse for serving a patron raw poultry..ever..let alone TWICE. My husband requested a noodle dish and asked to hold the fish sauce. He recieved a bowl of cold noodles and vegetables with another piece of underdone chicken on top. Apparently there was no other sauce or dressing that he could have had to make it more palatable. The edimame was very good. I liked their take on Sangria, the spring rollups..essentially lettuce wrapped up ..were fine. ..62euros later...which was minus the chicken which the waiter offered to remove from our bill, and we left, and went to the pizza place up the street because everyone was starving except for me who was feeling ill. The place is bustling..busy..so perhaps ours was a one-off bad experience, I sure hope so, but we wont be heading there again. The only star i give it is for the waiter, who was great.
Really nice addition to the restaurant offer in this upcoming neighbourhood. Fresh vietnamese food at a good price. Lovely decorated place and service. I can recommend the caramelised chicken wings, beef & noodles bun, ceviche, pepper beef, a kind of vietnamese burger and the chocolate and mango icecream dessert.
I love Vietnamese food and La Vietnamita has been my favorite for years. Im so happy this is now so close to me. Try the summer rolls and the curry. My favorite!
