La Vietnamita - Vietnamese restaurant in Barcelona, Spain
La Vietnamita in Barcelona
Description
Privilege
First time here and had a very pleasant experience. Yummy food, nice atmosphere and very kind staff. Special thanks to Andrea for the nice service. We ll come back.
MoreThe Pho was ok but not very tasty. A bit expensive.
We had the degustation menu - the 5 pieces of finger food were totally awesome. The pho tasted a little different from the usual vietnamese pho kinda more bland. The bun noodle aka dry noodle 🍜 tasted bland. We had to ask for the siraccha chilli to flavour it. Staff were friendly and efficient.
MoreFlavourless pho, a grumpy waitress and a bit over priced. Not the best ingredients for a fun night out.
MoreFantastic food and service! The “menu degustacion” is amazing! Try it!!!
Always one of my dinner plans when in Barcelona. The food is fresh, affordable and flavourful!
MoreProbably the worst pho I’ve had in my life. It tasted like puke and I still have the bad after taste after leaving the restaurant. Probably the meat was old…Avoid at all costs and try a Japanese ramen which has more competition.
MoreVery tasty food, quick and nice service and very pleasant personal. Great experience and I would go there again.
MoreThe food was delicious and the vegan dishes were creatively done! Very fresh and very yummy! Highly recommend
MoreLovely decor, lovely presentation, but disappointing food.I had a very simple dish - Bun Bo Xao - the Vietnamese noodle salad with stir fry beef, vermicelli noodles and herbs. I’m surprised with how bad it was. Too much salt & msg, too little taste. Instead of mint and cilantro I found basil - not the Asian one but Italian basil!Should have just stayed at home and made it myself. I was just lazy and thought Bun Bo Xao is a fool-proof dish! Now I’m super thirsty and probably can’t sleep because of msg-induced dehydration.
MoreExcellent restaurant!...delicious food, great service, and very nice atmosphere...highly recommended place, a "must-go" restaurant in Barcelona
MoreI found the rice noodles with beef very delicious. It doesnt taste like in Vietnam, but still was very healthy, tasty and the service was super friendly.
MoreOrdered a pho to take away... this was not a pho lol. Not enough broth, boiled chicken without seasoning, small quantity given the price. Food is inspired from Vietnam but not Vietnamese... disappointed.
MoreSuper tasty Pho and also Chicken Curry! We got main dishes and a drink, very affordable if you want something delicious, convenient and fast🤭.
MoreOvercharged us €2 and refused to fix it even when we politely pointed it out. We ordered one menu del dia which had the option of an upgraded drink for €1.50 extra which we chose. Instead we were charged for the menu del dia AND €3.50 for the mint lemonade when the charge should’ve been €14.95 for the menu and €1.50 for the drink. They took advantage of us because we don’t speak fluent Spanish. The menu degustacion is also deceptive. We didn’t get everything they offered and they counted each half a chicken wing as a single item. So in reality you got one whole chicken wing, one spring roll, edamame and a salad. The Pho was awful, not authentic at all. The burger was also confusing because it was not a burger….. it was pulled pork.Overall strange, expensive and disappointing experience that left us disenfranchised and with stomach aches from the tepid food.
Morethis place has inspired me to explore further into the Vietnamese cuisine. It’s cozy and has great food with quick service.
MoreDelicious food. Served promptly and politely by the staff. Would highly recommend!
MoreWhat an awesome place to be veggie! The food was great and the attention even better, Roberto told us very patient and friendly about all the available options, we eat really good and had a pleasing time. And we are definitely coming back.
Morelovely food and charming place in Gracia. Ive been looking for great Vietnamese food in Barcelona. Our waiter Roberto was so kind and attentive that this was one of our favorite places to visit in the city. Hoping to return again soon.
MoreReally enjoyed the food here! Been a big fan of Vietnamese style curry, and the fact that they have such a big selection of veggie options is awesome. Also cant talk highly enough of the staff - everyone was friendly, treated us really well and gave good advice on choices 👏
MoreThis place is the best! Super fresh tasty food. Great service from both Roberto and Marta. Came twice in one day, we just could not get enough.
MoreVery good food and super fresh! I would definitely recommend coming here!!
Came here with my bestie and never tried Cassava in fried form and I gotta say, absolutely delicious! Their rolls were also so tasty. Service was great and atmosphere was lowkey/ chill! Would definitely come back here again :)
MoreGreat place for vegans! We tried the five starters (vegan and meatand main dish (pho bo and bun tofu). I loved the vegan spring rolls. Probably the best vegan spring rolls you’ll find in Barcelona. Everything was fresh and seasoned. The green detox drink was also delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day. The only dish I’d work on would be the broth in the pho. It needed more spices, roasted onion, ginger, and fish sauce. I’d come back for the vegan spring rolls.
Morenever again! very expensive food and very small courses. I found a sharp bone in the chicken skewer, I told them it is very dangerous and apart from a sorry they did not take a euro off the bill.
MoreSo unbelievably good ! So many vegan options, even a little tasting menu for 16€ with a selection of 5 vegan starters! Massively recommend, gracias chicas 🌞💕
MoreIt was fine but a bit disappointed. The Nem Ran was 6.25 for two small rolls (see photo). The Pho Classic (10.95, not badwas the most bland pho I’ve ever tasted with not much meat and noodles. The tea infusion was pretty good though, and the staff were nice. But the food definitely did not taste authentic. The vibe is kind of trendy and hipster although definitely catering to white people who haven’t really eaten much Asian food. Big emphasis on eating healthy; marketed as health food as opposed to Vietnamese. Overall, cute place with friendly vibes but small portions, overpriced, food was whitewashed.
MoreI’ve been twice during my short stay in Barcelona. I had a delicious cocktail both times and the pho is one of the best I’ve had. The broth was perfect. Great service as well. Cannot wait to be back to visit again!
MoreBad service. Food sub par considering the price.Had the menu and it was average. Sangrias were very tasteless. There are so many good restaurants in barcelona, I’d reccomend going somewhere else.
MoreMy favorite spot for lunch and dinner! Very cute and homey restaurant with THE BEST FOOD.The staff is friendly (and everyone speaks English and they even listen attentively when I try out my spanish)I always get the tasting menu (meat lovers of course… CARNE CARNE CARNE!and the bun noodle dish with beef.Highly recommend grabbing a quick bite or spending a night drinking beer and chowing down on the delicious cauliflower nugget things. THE BEST!
MoreMy favourite vietnamese curry in Barcelona. Not to mention authentic pho (says my boyfriend who has been to Vietnamand great choice of veggie/ vegan options
MoreI loved the food! So good vegan options and great cocktails! Harry and Roberto also gave excellent service
MoreVery fresh and yummy and also lovely staff!
We ordered the tasting menu: tasty starters and a main dish but no drink nor dessert included. Good food but nothing exceptional. The waitress was very friendly.
MoreIt was one of the best restaurant I’ve ever been. Our waiter Harry was really kind and the food was incredible. You really need to visit here right now. We ordered set menu and chose pho noodle! Great!
MoreOne of the best choices for vegetarians and healthy meat lovers, La vietnamita is delicious, I love the Yucas (its a root!and a limonde 🍋as a starter. Then the spring rolls with salmon 🐟 and the Pho soup, big but very light and smooth flavours 🌾.The music is very nice picked and the waiters are very kind! - thank you guys! Great job.
MoreDelicious meal in a cosy, neighbourhood resto with a great vibe. Attentive service and extensive menu. I had the Bun noodle bowl with marinated beef and it was delicious. Perfect combo of freshness and flavour. Had Che Choi for dessert and it was sublime. Satisfying, flavourful food after a day out walking around Barcelona. Highly recommended.
MoreIts a great place with good food. The staff is very friendly. I definitely recommend this place.
MoreBest Vietnamese in town. The fish balls and la Pho exceptional. Hace been back and recommend the coliflower and calamari. And of course
MoreThe worse experience ever. I asked for Curry Verde con Tofu for take away...The picture below shows what I got.No rice, just the salsa with little pieces of toffu and 2 pieces of carrot...After calling the restaurant and asking for the refund they told me that they are not allowed to give me the refund if I not show them the invoice. Unfortunately they didnt offer me the invoice...I have the payment confirmation in my bank, what by law is enough for the refund, however they said they will not respect that...Lamentable el servicio y comida. Ten cuidado!
MoreWell, this was a particular experience. I haven’t had much vietnamese food but I like to try new things. I ordered a spicy curry and didn’t notice it had coconut (I hate ittried hard enough to eat it because it was tasty just for the spice (I love itbut couldn’t. Went then to the manager asking to repeat an entrance like the one I had before (Nem Ram👌🏼 and explained. They change my plate with no extra charge and were very nice about it. I love this kind of service and to summarize after all It was a good experience just for the great service a cozy place and really good food. Thank you to the guys that work here.
MoreSo goody! Great vegan options, great ambiance, friendly staff and everything was delicious. Will definitely be back.
MoreI’m acutally not that type of guy who makes Google reviews. BUT this has to be said out loud. As a vegan I ate a lot of Vietnamese food so far, which means I know the standards of a good quality and good tasting Vietnamese meal. The food I ate at La Vietnamita had nothing to do with this. I was there with four friends and they were also disappointed af. I had the „Monkeys Favorite“ (or soand it was terrible, it came with just rice, some kind of soy brew plus a single piece of Ginger and some awkward tasting seitan pieces. Luckily my main dish also was very small (other negative pointso I didn‘t need to eat a lot of this, whatever it was. The size of the dish was more a starter than a main dish. The stuff was btw really unfriendly and did some bad jokes about their failure to receive our order right. After we pointed out the second mistake they said something like „I told you, problem never come alone“ lol. To put the hole thing in a nutshell: worst food, worst service.
MoreAfter a long day, the best place for dinner we could wish for 😊Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy interior of the small restaurant makes you feel to arrive ;)We tried 3 soups - pho ga, shitake with chicken and pho veggieHad amazing fresh rolls with shrimps (yummy 😋and mango saladEverything was fresh, delicious. Definitely worth to come again and have yourself spoiled by the food and atmosphere
MoreLoved it! Very tasty! And super fast! I have finally found my favourite dish of rice with coconut milk, chicken and curry - exactly like in Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin. A very generous portion! Nice old building with bóveda catalana ceilings.
MoreDont eat here! We tried to give it an other shot after our first experience , since its close by in the neighbourhood, but it has been quite disappointing again . The first time we ate the the actual bistro was more of a 3, the delivery this time was rather less then 1. We ordered two red curries. They were completely COLD upon arrival. The rice and the curry was mixed in a small box, so everything was soaked in sauce. The rice was overcooked. The variety of vegetables was poor and what was in the curry was overcooked as well. Everything was very poor in taste, not really seasoned at all. The dish today was probably among the top 3 of the worst Vietnamese/South east asian dishes Ive ever had :( Definitely the worst take out. EATING IN THE BISTRO we realized they used the microwave, our dinner tasted like it was heated for the 3d time in it. Never again :(
MoreService was nice and her English was impeccable. The decor is sweet, funny and almost feels a bit personal. We had fresh spring rolls with beef and they very really good but the lettuce were not whole leaves as it normally is served ( at least to what I’m used to). This makes it a bit more difficult to handle. The phô was decent but could have been a bit more rich in it’s taste.
MoreOrder is a little bit like at Starbucks. Small portions but taste good. Healthy and aesthetic meals. Nice and original cocktails. The music is indie.
MoreSomething a little different with a unique take on Vietnamese cuisine! Serving up plenty of tasty dishes from a little spot in Gràcia this location has some friendly and helpful, friendly staff serving some delicious street style snacks, tapas, and big dishes with their own unique twist.Marked as food on the go, but with seating enough for small groups; this place offers a custom-order selection of base dishes with your choice of topping, be it meat or veggie. The meat I found was mostly well cooked and the vegetables and salad components fresh and crunchy. For what you would consider ‘fast food’ in some respects, they don’t seem to be using cheap produce or cuts which is good, as the price for some items is a little dearer. Although that shouldn’t put you off visiting as it’s not far outside the norm for Barcelona at all.The drinks selection like he menu is quite wide and varied so all in all they should have something for everyone. Tapas and small plates are in the 4€ to 7€ bracket with main plates around €8 to 11€.With a visit!
MoreIts real typical Vietnamin Pho they have. You can feel Asian taste in here. If you are Asian, you can find your origin :)In addition, they can speak English fluently, thats another good point for non Spanish people
