La Trattoria in Marrakech

We had an amazing experience at La Trattoria! It was our first time visiting, and they were so welcoming. Our waiter, Jamal, was very attentive without being overbearing. 10/10 for food, service and venue.

The atmosphere and location are amazing. Other than that, the food and the service is just OK.Also - 40 dirhams for a bottle of water??? Way exaggerated

Great environment and staff (all of them speak English). If you want to avoid local food, after a lot of fats eating tagine, its a great Italian option.Restaurant is also very beautiful, with a lot of details and good food.

The place inside is beautiful. But even being on a Monday and seeing so many empty tables inside, they didn’t let us seat by the pool because we didn’t have a reservation. Food was average, nothing special. Had a more delicious meal on the night before in a same level restaurant for less.

Italian restaurant in Gueliz, Marrakech. The place is spectacular. Having dinner there is like having dinner in a small Marrocian palace.If you are from Italy or you are an Italian food lover, dont expect to have the best Italian food although it was very nice. We tried the Salmon Fettuccini and the Tricolore Pasta and were very tasty.Being located in Marrakech it is not cheap, a bottle of water costs 40Dha (4€).The overall experience was very good as we were impressed by the place and the food was good.

Ambience is great. Food not so much. Its not bad just not as delicious as the spot lets you believe when you see it from the outside. I had salmon pasta and it was ok. Very heavy on the Alfredo but not really flavourful. Staff are extremely courteous and professional. I felt completely taken care of here. So theres that!

Food here is absolutely amazing. The ambiance is just beautiful and the service is just on point. Highly recommend coming to this restaurant.

I was very excited to have dinner in this place and didnt expect to be disappointed but unfortunately that is what happened. This place is soooo hot that you will most likely sweat like crazy plus they use humidifier so heavily to cool down the place that is not effective plus it distroys the vibe. Had water dripping on me from leaves all evening. Food very average, service was OK.Maybe in autumn and winter its better place to dine in than hot summer months.

Amazing decorations and great food…a bit pricy but it’s worth it.We took the beef steaks, the lamb which was absolutely amazing and a tiramisu.

We had dinner at La Trattoria yesterday where we had Bruschetta as starters and then I had risotto with lamb shank and my boyfriend the spaghetti frutti di mare. Later in the evening it became clear that the quality of the food wasn’t good as my boyfriend ended up with food poisoning. It’s really sad, because we have been very cautious and carefully choosing where to eat :(Now the rest of our trip is ruined.Although the service was friendly, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated, I can not recommend this restaurant.

Entire section of the menu was not available!! There was no seafood in the seafood section but prawns that were old and chalky. There was no salmom to purchase but it was available in the pasta, go figure? Wait staff walked up to take order and then walked away without stating to give them one moment. Bery odd experience at what is supposed to be very good restaurant. Everything was lacking!!!!

This place was unreal.We had not booked a table inadvance and were happy to eat outside however a table then became available inside who h the team kindly offered us and we do not regret our decision to take it.Such a calm atmosphere, beautiful and classy interior.We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks.I had the fettuccine with prawns and it was so delicious and creamy!Will definitely go again when I return to Morocco!

Its a very nice high-end Italian restaurant with a beautiful setup. The service was great and we really enjoyed the food.

The venue is a beautiful setting, nice ambience. Unfortunately the food was terrible. We thought it would be overpriced but good (and could accept thatbut unfortunately it was overpriced and bad.Portions were big but food just didnt cut it...- grilled vegetable starter - the aubergines were undercooked and the flavour was disgusting. Not edible. I think its cooked over a gas grill, and not properly, so no charred grill flavour.- tuna tartare was all soft textures, no crunch, and lacking any acidity to cut through (asked for lemon wedges to break through which helpedz but youd expect the chefs to get the flavours right)- from the trio of pastas, the cheese/pepper (cacio e Pepehad no cheese flavour, just tasted of cream. Inedible. The pomodoro pasta and pesto pasta were the only edible parts but the pastas were all overcooked, not al dente.So disappointing as its a lovely venue and the staff are friendly. Just not sure how/why people were raving about this place...so many better options in that area.

Great service, great presentation, lovely environment. Reasonable price. The burrata and bread was perfect. The rest of the food was uninspiring, bland, ordinary. Basic and predictable.

Looking for a delicious Italian/Moroccan restaurant? Youve found it. The dishes were spectacular and the ambiance was so beautiful. Having lunch in the courtyard area next to the pool was a sublime experience and the service was top notch. I highly recommend it for a lovely experience.

The ambiance was lovely and the food was alright. Unfortunately, the service was so terrible that I can only give 3 stars for the overall experience. Our server forgot about providing service after we received our food, and it took us 30-35 minutes to get the check - after we had asked other wait staff twice because our server was nowhere to be found. We ultimately had to leave our table and ask where we could pay and were sent on a goose chase to the host stand, then back to the bar…not great.Also beware asking the host staff to hail a taxi - they “hailed” one for us (driver was parked across the streetand they were going to charge us 2.5x what we paid to get to the restaurant!

Amazing ambiance and beautiful place. The staff was extremely welcoming and sweet with everything. The food was only decent but not over priced for it at all. Would definitely recommend for a date night or any night in Marrakech! Thanks again guys !

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service. The staff speaks impeccable English and Im sure their French is the same. Its a gorgeous restaurant. The food, unfortunately, was a big disappointment. The "24-hour braised" beef shoulder was inedible - I didnt eat half of it. The seafood pasta was the same or worse as what you can find at any restaurant in Morocco, except twice as expensive. The red sauce pasta my kids had was the best thing we had, ironically.As beautiful as this place is, I wont be back. $100 for a tasteless meal is far too much, especially in Morocco.

We arrived with a reservation but we waiting 50 minutes for a table. In the mean time, 4 groups were seated before us (French groups). They were priority before us, while we were left waiting without any service.Once we did get seated, we had a table at the back without a view of the pool.The service we were given was unacceptable and we were treated as if we were not paying.It’s the worst service I’ve seen in Marrakesh so far despite 4 visits! Would definitely avoid as a tourist.We were left in the cold outside but the one positive as the security staff who were very friendly and helped us get our paid taxi.I would avoid this restaurant! Marrakesh has other restaurants to offer with much better service

Very welcoming.Professional services.Great for couples. Very romantic.Great design and atmosphere.I tried only one dish which was a mix between Italian and Moroccan cuisines . Ravioli Chefs Special à la Tanjia. It was good but i will try the traditional Ravioli next time.

We loved the romantic lighting and the large open space covered with plants. The food was quite good as well.We tried the scallops with an avocado sauce, chicken and mushroom fenticcine, and spaghetti burata. Everything was tasty but there wasnt a stand out dish

This is such an impressive location. We had made a reservation for 3 and we were sat at the very end of the pool. They were very helpful when I made the booking via email. The service was excellent and we were incredibly well looked after! The food was very good. We ordered the bruschetta; fortunately my sister did not have a starter because the portion was quite big but very tasty with 5 different bruschettas. For mains we had the scallops risotto and penne pesto, both very good. The desserts stole the show!! The best ever chocolate fondants we had! (And I have eaten quite a few!)

Such a lovely dinner location. I made a reservation online a few weeks before visiting and had no issue upon arrival. The views were so breathtaking, an extremely romantic experience and there were bigger tables if you came as a group. The menu was reasonably prices and the lasagna I had was so tasty. Side note: there are not options to order sides! This didn’t bother me but if you’re looking for bigger portions you may need to order a few items. Service was lovely and I’ll love to visit again.

Great Italian food and a lovely setting. It has a very nice vibe. Only slight let down was the attitude of the waiters, if they were slightly more attentive and had a smile on their faces would have definitely gotten 5 stars

Great little find in Marrakech. The food was excellent although small portions I found mine very filling. There is a small-ish choice but what you would expect to find on an upscale Italian menu. Great wine choice and other alcoholic drinks were cheaper than other places visited during our holiday.The service was excellent, the atmosphere nice and relaxed and great air conditioning which was needed as it was 42°C while we were there. I would highly recommend this but I would also recommend booking as it was quite full when we arrived.

What a wonderful place! Very romantic atmosphere with a lovely pool in the middle of the hall. The food is nice, and even if is an upscale place, is quite cheap (even for Marrakech standards!if youre looking for a break with some Italian food after all the Moroccan tajines, this is the place to go! Strongly recommended!

We got here as we wanted to treat ourselves on a nice dinner. The setting was amazing and the service was excellent. We will definitely go back to this place if we go back to Marrakesh.

Surprising place, very good food.We discovered this place almost by accident.The place has a great ambience - it is a former palace, with a small internal pool. At dinner, do reserve a table by the pool.Overall, the food (we had past and risottowas of very good taste, and service was slightly lower quality - in fact the reason why it is not a "5".You can get some alcohool here, although the cost of wine is quite large. Without drinks, you can get a great meal by 20-25 euro per person, and we recommend going here.

Unique place!!! Wonderful ambience and delicious food!!! Loved the design and the pool inside. Its great for a romantic dinner.
