Très belle ambiance brasserie, très convivial.Le personnel est souriant, accueillant et aimable. Bien quil soit midi le service est rapide. Les plats sont excellents. Nous avons pris un plat du jour , nous sommes très agréablement surpris. Copieux et savoureux. Très belle escale.

Très beau restaurant situé près de la gare de Rennes. Les serveurs étaient tous très agréables, notamment notre serveuse avec les cheveux blonds.Le menu a 22€ est très copieux, je recommande! On s’est bien régalé !J’ai adoré la rouille au curry servie avec la soupe de poisson, ça change !

Terrible!! Ordered traditional fish and chips, nothing traditional about it!! The fish was tiny, more batter than fish. Poor service, poor restaurant..... Avoid like the plague!!!

Really horrible experience at this restaurant! I went to this restaurant with my family very often, even the service was not good as before. But just few days ago, after we ordered, it took around 40 minutes just for serving 2 salades. And more, when my husband complained a bit about the poor service, the young server was very rude and he said it’s not his business. During the moment my husband tried to find the manager, the young one raise up his tone and asked me in a very impolite way if we still wanted the dish. That annoyed me, and I said I don‘t know in a low voice. On the way taking the dish back, he spit out “Putain”, which is a very rude and foul word in French. That really shocked me. That’s the first time that i heard someone talked like this to me in France, especially by a server in a restaurant!!! That’s really abusive and offensive! My husband is French and I lived in France for many years. Certainly, you are not well-educated! But you just talked like this because I’m a foreigner? That’s really unbelievable, intolerable and unforgivable!The restaurant has really a problem for management. Not only for personnel, but also for food quality! I got my belly painful after eating their seafood one time. And my friend told me she got diarrhea after eating there! Il y a quelques jours, après la commande, il a fallu environ 40 minutes pour servir 2 salades. Au moment où mon mari a essayé de trouver le gérant, le jeune a levé le ton et ma demandé dune manière très impolie si nous voulions encore les plats. Cela m’a énervé, mais j’ai dit que je ne savais pas à voix basse. En reprenant les plats, l a craché «Putain», qui est un mot très grossier en français. Cela ma vraiment choqué. C’est la première fois que j’entends quelquun parler ainsi en France, notamment d’un serveur dans un restaurant !!! C’est vraiment abusif et offensant! Mon mari est français et je vis en France depuis longtemps. Certes, vous nêtes pas bien éduqué! Mais vous parlez comme ça parce que je suis un étranger? C’est vraiment incroyable, intolérable et impardonnable!Le restaurant a vraiment un problème pour la direction. Pas seulement pour le personnel, mais aussi pour la qualité de la nourriture! Jai eu mal au ventre après avoir mangé leurs fruits de mer une fois. Et mon amie ma dit quelle avait la diarrhée après avoir mangé là-bas! Prenez soin de vous et bonne chance, mes amis!

Great for quick bite

Great food, beautiful restaurant, and they have english menus! My parents were visiting and we went here for dinner and having the english menus for them was great, and the waiter spoke very good english to them as well. Overall would definitely recommend La Taverne to anyone visiting Rennes!

A very nice place, and depending on what you order it doesnt cost too much. Theres a set menu at the night where you get an appitizer, entrée, and dessert for 16 euros. Unless you want more options for 26 euros. Theres also a lunch menu for 10 euros. There are other things on the menu varying in prices.

At first sight, I thought this was a restaurant for tourists, but as it turns out it is a very classy/trendy restaurant. Classy for its price and trendy for its selection (i.e. flammeküche).The service was excellent and friendly. The food was exquisite. Try the crème brûlée. It is out of this world!!!

For the Mothers Day, we have booked for 8 places online, places were confirmed. We arrived at the restaurant , we have sit down. 5 minutes later, the manager came to us and said: we cannot serve you, we have a problem of reservation. This morning, we had many tasks and we cannot check the reservation website every 5 minutes. Why does she subscribe to the online reservations services and then do not check it? Why does not she hire someone to check online reservations every 5 minutes?After this day, we discovered that she has put "Customer not presented" on the online reservation website. Was it our fault? She made advantages for her!

Good service, not impressive food... I was expecting a lot more from this place...
