La Rubia - Spanish restaurant in Barcelona, Spain
Excellent service and yumi patatas bravas. It was busy on a Friday night but the cute server was on top of all his tables. The vermú is ok (Ive had better, a lot better in BCNand the olives were also on the cheap side.
Nice little bar, with classic R&B playing, off a lively square. Small but acceptable wine list, and well-made tapas. Funky decor.
Quick service, great burger, cold beer and drink. Overall- Nice lunch
Slow and Bad service, way too expensive for what you get, 9 € for 5 ajillo shrimps not even well prepared, too bad used to be a nice place in the plaza.
Do not order food from here, unless you have plenty of time. Almost no people, but 25 min. waiting time for two sandwiches. Drinks seem to come fast.
Menu and portions are kinda small, but tasty. Very attentive staff, overall quality was good.
They prefer to have free tables than to give them to a group of 6 having cocktails. I think they should rethink their strategy and try to welcome their clients better.
I ordered Fish and chips and didnt get served for a really long time and had to remind them a couple of times. The taste was bland and the sauce wasnt good. We also ordered chicken burrito, which was not that great, but the nachos was very nice.
Cool spot and nice shows inside
Really good drinks
Really good , sweet waitress and very good food :)
Really fun night 🌙 ☺
Standup comedies are good :)
Great food and nightlife :))
Might be good place, wanted to try it for my birthday. When I got there and asked for a coffee first (waited for my partnerthey didnt even look at me and told me they wouldnt be a cafeteria. Shame.
Saw Front page Gig here, unbelievable, venue is top class 😍
Had three dishes. All of them awesomely tasty. The wines were also really really good. The waiters are really really welcoming and friendly. Ill come back for sure. 110/100
Amazing vibes and nice live music
Food was pretty good but the tall waiter was extremely rude. Tips for you : leave the job if it makes you unhappy.
Food was great staff were helpful
La Rubia burger was the best burger had in my Life! Service was helpful. I certainly recommend it
They have forró Thursdays
excellent drinks in a bustling location
The service was slow and the food terrible. I had fish and chips. The chips were uncooked and the fish, which looked like cheap fish sticks in elementary school cafeteria, tasted just awful....just awful. The Sangria was also without any punch. To top it off Im pretty sure that I got food poisoning from that food.Maybe I was unlucky but this is by far my worst dining experiance in Barcelona and one of the worst of my life.
Great food and live music
Great music in the old theatre! A Rubia Burger excellent.
Great vibe, however 1 grumpy waiter brought my rating down 1 star !
Only my first visit, Id love to go again!Very hospitable staff, good food and the icing of the cake is the cultural extra.I went to a vermuth concert that opened and started an hour-ish later than advertised. That might also be part of the cultural extra :)
We love this bar! It has a big terrasse and its also quite spacious inside. The staff is very (very veryfriendly and welcoming, we are always treated well. Also, its not that busy inside so theres a lot of chances you will have a seat. There is enough choice for drinks/artesanal beers/wine/cokctails/vermouth, thats really nice so everyone can chose something he/she likes. The menu is also varied and the food is good (with some gluten-free options as well). And finally prices are super correct, its the perfect place to spend a chilling and quality evening with your friends without emptying your wallet! 👌🏽
Amazing place close to MACBA museum and excellent service, Josep is a lovely waitress and barman. Im really happy to choose this place to spend my evening because the staff made me feel like in home. Thanks.
Nice place for food and beer. The staff is nice and there is a theater behind for for events like Halloween!
Great tapas and lovely service! Very attentive staff, even on weekends.
The place is cosy, has a few few spacious halls,so you can come in a big company of friends. Good menu.Friendly staff. Quite affordable. There are different events happening in one of the halls-La Rubia theater. I was there at a book presentation. La Rubia is located right by MACBA -contemporary art museum
Had late night dinner here. Food was delicious and it has an electric vibe, service was a bit slow as it was busy. It was a great experience though!
Great place to eat tapas and have beer in Barcelona. What I liked the most was having tasted the vegetarian paella, it was delicious.
Was there for beers..... Different own style of beer
lively ambience in the afternoon can be very busy
Good beer & food, nice staff, little bit expensive.
Great bar, and very active theater schedule. Tuesday nights psychoanalysis!!
Cultural activity spot in the middle of raval with delicious bocata de calamarea
Really nice and quite cheap. Great burgers
Good beers and even better radio hidden at the back
Great location to recharge after or in between museum visits at the Contemporary Museum and the Cultural Centre. We had a local Vermut which was served with ice, orange and two olives and delicious! I imagine this little space with outdoor seating gets very busy in the evenings and I feel for the locals who display anti noise posters on their balconies and are clearly not impressed with the patronage.
Wonderful secret in Barcelona. Wonderful tapas bar in the front and Rubia becomes more true to its Barcelona routes as you head further back, ultimately ending up in a bar/theater that is magnificent. The food is the perfect combination of new and traditional. Staff is attentive and happy to describe the many local draft beers. Will return during our next trip!
Well located. Average food. Good service.
Excellent but pricey craft beer, cosy inside with a nice terrace too. Food looks excellent although we havent eaten there. Theatre venue in the back. Toilets acceptable (only 2 in total and painted black), but could be better.
Lovely place- very friendly staff and nice tapas, great location. Good selection of beers and gin
lovely staff. great afternoon drinks and amazing olives.
Their tapas are simply great. The place has a nice, youthful and hipster-like atmosphere. We will try this next time we visit Barcelona.
La Rubia, literally The Blonde in English is one of the coolest places around that block. It is located on the Plaça del Angels a lively square in front of MACBA, the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Arts. The restaurant bar has three large rooms with a vintage retro style decoration that makes you feel in old school Spanish bar. In terms of price it is reasonably priced and has all variety of drinks and tapas, you wont spend more than 10€ in a couple of drinks and a tapas dish. They also specialize on craft beer offering several types of the Almogaver local craft brewery. In the back room, you can find a stage where daily events are held ranging from technology meetups, poetry and theatre. You can check their event schedule on their website. There is also a nice terrace outside that you can enjoy all year round but it is much better during the spring and summer season. If you want to go on a date better on weekdays which is quieter, it tends to get very busy on weekends. and it is one of the busiest places I have been on a Sunday afternoon. La Rubia is definitely an charm in Raval neighborhood and a good place to enjoy some local craft beer or local theatre.
